They are BOTH super romantic. Guy is the type to bring flowers that made him think of John. John is the type to do a lot of little things to help Guy unwind when he's too agitated.

Guy gets the final vote and they watch all of the Rocky movies without skipping montages

Guy wants to visit Coast City one last time, but John stops him because he knows Guy doesn't really need that. He's just doing that to relieve his pain. Instead they shut the machine down.

Guy fights John a lot when he does not agree with his decisions for a mission or a battle. It makes John want to strangle him

Because neither of them are used to talking about what bothers them and they should really be talking about it

Because they know each other body and soul. Because they will always be there for each other. Because Guy would do anything to keep the attention on himself if it means the bad guys will look at John less. Because John will always do something to make sure Guy doesn't kill himself that way.

30. Why does it work (or not work) between them?

It works. It so works, because they click, they are opposite parts of a well greased mechanism and they complete each other in ways that sometimes are unexpected but ultimately make sense to them.

in terms of wild breakup sex I feel like

guyhal would be insane 💖 they have more breakup sex than makeup sex. they break up in the middle of sex and then make up in the middle of sex and it lasts approx 2 days before they're screaming and throwing things at each other. they are a toxic het couple.

halkyle would not have breakup sex. when they break up they will cry and mope separately. their makeup sex is insane though. furniture gets destroyed. both of them are lowkey hoping the other one kills them or like, permanently maims them, but in a romantic way. they'll say stuff like "I'm going to carve my name into your chest with a knife and tie you to the bed so you can never leave me again" and the other person will be genuinely touched by this

johnkyle would not have breakup sex because they would never break up

johnhal would also not have breakup sex because if hal breaks john's heart he'll just exile himself from the corps and become a villain again because he's not worthy of being on the same side as john after he broke john's heart

guykyle also have makeup sex. they break up for approximately one day and the next day they are back sobbing about how they're so sorry and they've made a mistake and it'll never ever ever happen again. and then they fuck tenderly for hours.

alan would never have breakup sex because he is insane enough that if someone breaks up with him he'll just kill them.

Okay, I tried to procrastinate because I never actually read a comic with Guy before getting it. So my plan was to go read some enough to form an opinion. Because through fandom osmosis I ship them all, in like, Hal got together with Guy's girlfriend after they both thought he died - I mean. Isn't it a bit "secret crush on a buddy you sublimate by making out with his girlfriend"? With Guy and John it's even more straightforward: that's what I got after i googled them, and i trust google

all in all they look like my favorite kind of ship where guys fight instead of fuck

As for Guy/Kyle, I have an impression that something, something, pussy, something. tldr, Kyle is someone you can freely ship any of Green Lanterns.
