Went with a friend to a lake. Swim riding with in my two pool noodles alone, listening to Bernard Cornwells ‚ Sharpes Battle ‚ spoken by Rupert Farley. Chilling for almost 2 hours on the lake, cooling during this years hottest day. Lots of women hiting on me, shooting ther Shot, proactive, searching contact. Validation seeking women already extracted. Nothing fitting. Not real full redflags, just not attractive enough. Perspective disqualifying women asap to reap from just the pick of the litter. Just those are interesting which are attractive with in the first second. A instant clear loud yes. Anything else, no. Though the day chilling. Good vibes. Talked with my friend about his grandfather. Stuka board radio operator, both iron crosses, 1 italian award, Africa Korps campaign, 120 enemy flights already in the beginning of the war casual, etc. how he although dogged the aesthetics, the story’s, the atmosphere from war toys, worldwar 2 toys/ history, revell scale models with the local toyshop, the playmobil 7. Us Cavallery, the playmobil cowboys/ Indians, the Stuka models his grandfather had, his love for trains. Nice, chilling social bubble like we are in the 1990s. Attractive open minded women, young familys. I thought how I paint my paintings that the energy, comes to me, preserving my energy, instead of giving my energy with my paintings to others. What must/ should/ would I paint in that case? So I thought who was often in the past attracted to my work, and paid for it, invested in my work? A deeper view. I like to use iconic fine art master-works juxtaposed with current popular culture imagery from advertising, comic books, logos, ect. to create social awareness in the times we live in. By splicing these contrasting images from different time periods, the subject matter takes on new impetus of preconscious intensity not found in simplistic or direct commentary art. I like to further entice my viewers with palatable compositions, textures, bright colors, and unexpected images.

My primary goal is to create immersive paintings that are hypnotic and thought provoking; a visual circus that contains social inequalities, struggles of being human, and all the in between complexities we experience in our everyday lives.

I received my BFA, Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from San Francisco State University and had the amazing opportunity to study under both professor/working artist, Paul Pratchenko & Richard Mclean.
