Poor Sam, I clung to her arm and stole her attention from everyone else. Choso came up to her for after-school notes, and I put my hand up to his face to shut him up and said;

"No. Not today, emo boy. I'm sorry I am stealing my girl away — we're going to go rob a bank and then catch a flight to Italy — Sam why are you laughing? Stop laughing, I'm actually quite serious."

Poor Choso, he was confused as he always is.

I complained about life and my problems to Sam and she nodded and hummed in understanding, only half-listening because I was in one of those dramatic moods that couldn't be taken seriously.

We went to the library for no reason except that we knew Satoru and Suguru were there. Sam had a big crush on Suguru so I was trying to do her a solid and break the ice between them. She didn't have the courage to approach him herself. I didn't get why. I told her life is short, one day you'll be in a coffin, so you should talk to hot guys while you can.

Anyways, I wasn't sure about those two. Suguru's detachedness annoyed me, because when I'd talk to him during class he'd sort of recede into his shell — his shell being Satoru.

And Satoru? I liked him, yes sure. I was ashamed to like the guy that the whole school liked, so I made a joke out of it — I think he thought I was joking when I flirted with him because I exaggerated everything to the point of sounding like a joke.

During mid-year, things got steamy but nothing more happened. We definitely shared a spark in April but now it fizzled out and I was desperately trying to relight it. Flirting during class? No I wanted to flirt outside of the classroom. I wanted to flirt in his bedroom.

"Alright, Sam. My girl. This is what you do; you go up to Suguru and say "Be my husband." okay?"

"Oh god." he walked in the other direction.

"YOU'RE CRAZY." he yelled back, "Anyways, you still on for later?"

"Yes I'm turned on for later — wait what? Yes. I'm still on for later. I'm bringing Sam with, too, even if I have to drag her by her leg. Sam?"

Choso left, and then I returned my attention to Sam who was pretending to read a book because Suguru and Satoru were glancing over.

"See, they're looking at us. You know what that means? They're obsessed." I said, "Kidding. Fuckin' kidding. I think I talked too loudly." I laughed at myself.

"I think Suguru reads classics... do you know any classics?" Sam asked, skimming the book spines with her eyes.

"Yes — Dostoyevsky but man he's a fucking pain to read. Anyways, Suguru probably only reads hardcore smut." I joked. "Anyways, stop stalling — let's go say hi before Satoru and Suguru fall into a void."

"What? No way. NONONONONO DON'T DRAG ME—"

"Hey boys~!" I greeted them and invited myself to the free seat next to Satoru. I crossed my legs, made a motion of flipping my hair (it was tied up) and encouraged Sam to sit, too.

They greeted us, we four talked for a bit. Shoko came around, and sat down next to me and we put our legs on each other. I was as comfortable with her as I was with Sam, which was a nice feeling.

Satoru stole my glasses off my face, so I stole his sunglasses off and wore them.

I couldn't see without my glasses, so I told him he was the hottest man I'd ever seen.

He had a smug response and nodded. Then he realized.

"Hey wait a minute."

"Wow that took you a while." I laughed. "Give me my glasses back — hey you fucking smudged them you absolute cunt. Oh my god... worst day ever... I'm gonna cry... anyways."

I cleaned the lenses with my t-shirt but they just got more and more smudged so I narrowed my eyes and kept wiping the lenses.

Suguru, Shoko and Sam commented on this moment between us.

"You two should date."

"Nah, she'd turn me into an ex real fast." Satoru said immediately.

"Boy, I'd turn you into a triple-ex." I said and winked.

He shook his head. I put on some chapstick. I felt eyed out. I looked to the side and surely there was Satoru staring very obviously.

"What? What are you staring at, perv?" I sassed, "You want some of my chapstick?"

"Hell yeah." he leaned in. His lips quivered when I put my chapstick to his lips. "Oh that smells good."

"It's Chupa-Chups." I said. He hummed and inhaled.

Satoru kept his lips parted while I applied the chapstick.

"You smell good too. 'That your perfume?" he asked.

"Yes. Vanilla."

"Why are they always flirting?" Suguru asked out loud.

"I dunno." Sam shrugged.

"We're not flirting." Satoru said.

"It is what it is." I said at the same time.

My mouth fell open. Satoru giggled at my reaction. I still had my mouth open, to emphasize my shock. We're not flirting?

"Close ya mouth, Jay, you'll attract cock." Satoru said.

"Wow! I'm so over you, Satoru!" I said.

I scooted and scooted my chair away from Satoru on the carpeted library floor. Satoru blatantly stared at my jiggling breasts. The other library goers looked irked by the laughter coming from our table.

"Shoko, want my chapstick instead?" I offered. She started giggling.

"What about me?" Suguru said.

I made an awkward noise, "Sorry I don't fuck with Satoru Besties." I joked quickly, noting Sam's expression.

We all headed out the library to talk because Shoko and I wanted to have a smoke.

"... and it pisses me off!" I finished complaining about something to Shoko and we exchanged the cigarette. She took her turn puffing on it.

"Damn, you complain a lot." Satoru commented.

I gave him a look.

"Yeah, care to shut me up with your co— I'm sorry I'm joking I'm kidding." I put my hands up.

Satoru shrugged, "I mean, I can do that for you if you want." he flirted.

I pulled my round glasses down and gave him the look.

"Right here? Right now? Because you know I'd be on my knees any time and place for you, boy." I winked.

"Yeah yeah, your bark is bigger than your bite." Satoru dismissed.

"Wanna come find out?" I said, "Because I think I could slut ya out."

He looked at me with wide eyes — I couldn't judge if he was turned on or just thought I was being outrageous.

"Haha, Satoru you're going red in the face." Suguru laughed. I smiled smugly. Satoru went silent. It feels good to out-flirt a flirt.

Sam was making heart eyes at Suguru. I was trying to figure out some witty joke to say to bring them together, but it just didn't work out. I tripped over my own words and then covered it up with a long, exaggerated noise.

But they ended up going off somewhere together, talking about Dostoyevsky. I thought that was quite romantic.

Shoko let me steal another cigarette off her. Satoru was complaining about our smoke smelling awful.

"Yeah but you'd still kiss me even with smoky breath." I said.

He hummed flirtatiously. Oh shit I did something.

"Uh, I'll give you two some space." Shoko laughed, then left us alone together.

"Oh god." I whined. "Shoko please."

"What's that grimace for?" Satoru narrowed his eyes at me.

"Well I looove flirting with you but I hate being alone with you." I groaned. "Each minute spent with you is a year off my life span."

"I can't tell if you're joking or not, Jay." he laughed.

Oh. I made him laugh.

"I can't tell if I'm joking or not, either, Satoru." I sighed.

"Oh, shiiit don't say my name like that." he purred, "You'll turn me on."

"Yeah?"

Is he joking around? Are we flirting flirting?

"Yeah..." he came closer, leaned down and pushed his sunglasses up the bridge of his nose. "You know what I think? I think you're not as big of a freak in bed as you've claimed. I bet you're a virgin or something."

I let out a laugh. "Nahhh! I'm a freak freak. The shit I'm into will make you look like a vanilla bitch. And although I may be a virgin — "

Satoru laughed. "Ah, I knew it. You're a virgin freak."

Satoru made a toothy grin and leaned down closer. His breath smelled like the hard candies he always sucked on during the day. My cheeks were burning.

He looked down and saw me squeezing my thighs together.

"Wow, wanna get to it then?" he lowered his voice, "Just let me fuck your brains out right here against the wall?" he joked flirtatiously.

"What if I'm into that?" I moved my body suggestively. My knee nudged his thigh.

He gave me a doubting grin.

"Yeah yeah," I waved my hand dismissively, "Big talk, big talk. I could take you."

"Well... let's see about that at the party tonight, yeah?" he rasped.

"Fine." I sassed.

"Fine." he smirked. "See you tonight then."

"Okay. Whatever." rolled my eyes. "Don't be fucking late to the party, by the way you useless idiot."

"No promises." he winked as he backed away.

As soon as Satoru left, I let out a silent scream and bounced around like I just won the lotto. Funny, Choso came around the corner. He witnessed my little moment.

"What theee hell."

"Oh hey Choso. Small campus, huh?"

"Yeah this makes like what, three times we've encountered each other today?" he said.

"It's a sign from god, Choso; we're meant to be. The emo freak and the virgin freak. Match made in heaven." I said.

He stared at me with his heavy, indecipherable eyes. "Are you just horny all the time?"

"Yes." I answered straightly. "Sorry if I'm a bit much. I'll stop if it makes you uncomfortable." I went serious for a second.

He stuttered, "No, no — it's hot, I enjoy it. Just not used to being on the receiving end of this kind of attention." he looked away.

"Anyways, are you really coming tonight?" he asked with a light in his eyes, needy for an answer.

my silly little thoughts about a lookism squid game au that nobody asked for

gun and goo are the salesmen whose job is to play ddakji with a potential contestant and recruit them

daniel is a broke student living on his own, who loses his property papers to logan and hides inside a subway to escape getting beaten after he goes to confront logan and retrieve the papers, and he meets gun who asks him to play a game…

but, when daniel tries to get a hold of gun after ending up with a game card, he’s already inside the tube, mouthing ‘ganbare’ lmao

dumb bitch that he is, daniel accepts the invite, is sedated, and wakes up in a dormitory in a green tracksuit, only to see logan who’s there too because goo recruited him lol

anyways so jiho would be there too because he gambled all his money away. daniel and jiho would get along at first because both of them are the weakest among all participants...

GOD DOG :

johan would be there to get the cash needed to fix his mom’s eyes, and he’s also been recruited by gun. in the game dorm, he meets an old man(yes, this au’s oh-il nam) who he recognizes as the pastor at his mother’s church, and he puts down his guard (cult stuff has not happened in this au so dog boy isn’t that vicious, but he’s still isolated himself from the people who care about him because he doesn’t want their pity arghh)

J HIGH :

zack’s searching for his estranged buddy johan along with mira. one fine day, he sees him get shoved inside a car after being sedated willingly and before he knows any better, he knocks out the game worker and takes his place in the car, and enters the game (kinda like junho lmao)

vasco’s cash-strapped after paying off his master breakdak’s debt, and gets recruited by goo.

vin and mary are fleeing cheonliang because vin murdered their dongsaeng, when they’re offered to play..

HOSTEL:

nothing much really??? formula’s really expensive these days and the economy is taking a toll on single father eli, who says, “fuck it,” and joins the game. gotta feed yenna!

estate brokers are harassing sally to sell the dilapidated building her granny left her, and thus, warren and her are also in.

olly, known insane bastard, probably sells his parents’ house to incur debt and follow eli. gun is too stunned to speak.

BIG DEAL :

again, local practising dilf sinu is in because the street is in serious financial trouble.

jake files for bankruptcy (idk how this works pls) because he wants to investigate his father’s death and the existence of his older step-bro, so that's how he becomes a player (also like junho)

other big deal members would follow their big boss and no.1 and end up as workers or something lmao

WORKERS :

yujin is the frontman! mandeok and cap guy are his bodyguards, and class-traitor samuel does his dirty work.

the affiliate ceos would be among the vips who fund the squid game.

one such vip is mitsuki, who comes to watch the squid game upon the request of her bestie vivi (another vip), and immediately becomes obsessed with player sinu han. she goes as far as to plead with yujin to not shoot him fatally if he ever loses a game, because she wants him that bad

steve hong gets a whiff of this game when his eldest son and heir kitae receives a vip invitation and thus, he sends his most disposable child jay to investigate the game as a worker lmao

daniel gets his perfect body inside the dorm, and knocks out a worker to take his place. he immediately becomes close to jay, and is soon promoted to executive kitsune (all due to his hard work and not because yujin suspects him. nope, not at all.)

executive kitsune is the favourite of recruiter gun (also a vip), and is entitled to all sorts of favours…

vip dg who’s a mastermind at playing all sides (he’s with steve, the workers, and god only knows who else) catches onto the connection between game player og daniel and executive kitsune, and starts keeping an eye on him hmmm

absolute heartbreak but… the jiyeong and saebyeok “thank you for playing with me” scene… only with sinu and jake. jake LOSES it as sinu says, “jake, thank you for playing with me,” and the gun goes off.

not to worry, sinu’s alive and his wound is treated effectively as per neko’s instructions. she wants him for herself and supplies him with the amnesia/memory altering drugs, but executive kitsune who has struck a friendship with sinu and jake in his original body, saves him by discarding the meds.

like saebyeok, jake gets stabbed in the glass game, but is saved by the rest of big deal, and becomes one of the workers. he’s devastated and wants to avenge sinu by killing gun, because of whom they ended up in this hell…

doo lee is executive hanya in this universe and unfortunately one of its creators too (he feels guilty as hell don’t worry), and he informs jake of sinu being alive on executive kitsune’s behalf. so now, jake and big deal WILL get sinu backkk

also lmaoo sinu gets the shock of his life seeing samuel dressed like a kdrama ceo, which is a far departure from the shonen protagonist image of his, complete with a mullet, back in big deal.

crystal is a vip and a double-agent like jay, because her father charles and yujin hate each other's guts.

jiho’s juvie metamorphosis may happen because of the need to survive the uncontrolled violence in the dorms. he’s still jealous of daniel who’s popular with literally everyone.

I ALSO VIVIDLY IMAGINE THE GLASS BRIDGE SCENE WITH DEOKSU AND MI-NYEO, BUT WITH DANIEL TAKING DOWN LOGAN (unlike minyeo daniel is saved because of protagonist halo and plot armour yass)

THE MARBLE GAME SCENE??? but between jiho and the hallucination of his former self, to whom he loses the marbles and gets shot…

johan’s betrayal in this au is when the old pastor is revealed to be a creator of the game, and just when all hell is about to be unleashed, zack finds him.

in conclusion, i want daniel and the others to make it through squid game with the power of love and friendship. none of this makes sense but a massive thanks to everyone who tuned in until the end.

29ish hours? I stayed up one day to chat with a person who lived in Australia, wound up having to go to the store with my mom around 8 to get school clothes and crashed when we got back home about noon/one o’clock.

Though this month should raise that up higher given I have to be up for my exams starting at 9, stay up to catch my early morning flight the next day and stay up to catch my transfer flight and then keep staying up so I don’t crash through dinner and wake up at like one in the morning, like someone with jet lag. (Bermuda and Halifax are literally in the same time zone, I cannot do this to myself)

Yes. It stretches shortly on my forearm. I got it from an iron burn when I was about 12, I think?

I think so?? If that’s what you’d call whoever keeps sending me those really sweet anons. :D

I can do a semi-decent Irish/Scottish accent from my years of obsessively watching Ronan Inish and a thicker, more prominent Bermudian accent, like what my granny or teachers would have.

I don’t personally think I have an accent. My mom is deaf, my dad is American and the kids and family I grew up around never really used the thick version of a Bermudian accent.

I don’t know. I don’t think I have one? Mostly other accents are just the way people talk and if anything, just amuse me. Like for example, my friend’s Bahamian accent kills me, especially when she starts chatting with her friends from Nassau and their accents start rolling out super thick to the point where you gotta really pay attention to zero in on their words.

But, in Bermuda you’re taught by literally anyone so accents are just?? a thing that exist. I don’t have a favourite.

MBTI wise, a split between INTJ & INTP. Other types? IDK.

PFT, prolly my shoes? I don’t really buy clothes. Though if my cousin’s coat no longer fits by the time the cold really hits and I need to use it, it’ll probably be a winter coat.

I used to when I was younger. Still do sometimes.

I dunno. The most dramatic movies I can remember tend to be war films based on true stories and I normally check out during that kind of stuff because thinking about the horrors of history and the fact that people suffered and died at the hands of people who still objectively exists freaks me out, sends me into a pit of misery until I combust within myself.

No preference for other people, short hair preference for myself. Currently, I’m growing it out so my friend can braid it then I’m gonna chop it back off when I get home in May.

Yes! I do actually really like my name, which sucks because sometimes I get upset or uncomfortable when people refer to me by it and why I like it when people call me Jay, but otherwise my birth name is just beautiful and I don’t think I’d ever be able to give it up.

That being said, I super love the name Jay and when I finally move out of my house and away from Bermuda, I want to try using it more socially rather than just online.

With my birthname, my mom picked it out from a book, I think?

With my preferred name,I was reading a book about a trans man called “I Am J” and when I got prompted about my name by a friend online, the name just popped into my head, felt immediately right and I used it and connected to it right away.

A Whoooooole Bunch of Little Nightmares AUs and explanations!

Little Night Terrors: A Alternate Universe were all the roles are swapped.

Janitor- Now the Butcher, a VERY hostile cook that allows NO vermin to live. He has a love of killing, and is a little sick in that aspect.

Twins Chefs- The Twin Babysitters, they take turns on different duties on different days [Cleaning, Babysitting the kids, etc.] In this au, Twin Two is actually very nice, while twin one is just extremely tired.

The Granny- The Elder, she is a bit nicer than the Lady[Like a grandma to her children] and doesn't kill you on sight. Only if you hurt someone may she kill you.

The Lady- Forgotten and alone, she is extremely hostile, trying to reach the edges just to catch you. Upon catching you, she will eat you.

Seven- He is now in Six's role.

Six-month Same.

Guilt: Ten years after the events of Little Nightmares, Six has become the new Lady of the Maw. But, 'ghosts' of the past will hunt her down, will she survive?

Six- Now the new Lady, she watches over everything that goes one. She is constantly bothered by the last Lady's spirit, who guilt trips her everyday(gives her nightmares too)

Jay Niccals [based on @askthejanitor's name for the Janitor] - The new Janitor of the Maw, he has long legs, but proportional arms. He can't hear very well, but he can see! He ditched the Last Janitors doll collection, giving them to the children. He keeps on seeing something around the Nursery. Someone.

The Twin Chefs- They are the same as they were in game, but they don't tolerate ANY vermin in the kitchen.

The Granny- She has come to terms with Seven killing her and all, it was self defense!

Seven- He sees the Granny's spirit, but he has come to terms with her. He is Jay's assistant, helping him clean and handle the kids.

The Janitor- An armless, sightless ghost, he is very hostile in a way. The spirit lurks the Nursery, snatching children away at night. He utterly despises Six, trying to kill her the chance he gets.

The Lady- She tries to get Six to feel guilty, to help the spirits. But it won't work.

[No Name Yet]: An au in which the Maw is run by the North Wind, who uses it to capture children and raise them like cattle, and everything is darker and scarier.

The North Wind: A very horrid being, viewing the staff as underlings(some cases, pets) and treats them very badly.

The Chefs: Twin Two is the most violent of the group, being the first to harm the vermin, Twin one barely gets any sleep at all because of how loud his brother is.

The Bellhop: He utterly hates his life, always having a noose tied to his neck. Netherless, he is nice to his co-workers, if he sees them. He usually isn't allowed to leave his post. [He is the one that greets the children/paints the Maw in a positive light.

The Ferryman- He brings children to the Maw, making the Maw seem as if it is a haven. He usually brings either newborns(won't remember a thing), or children who are abused/hurt(will gladly accept)

The Janitor: He doesn't usually get fed, and he's only allowed one thing to be with(a life like porcelain doll) and doesn't even get to be with said thing much. That's why he hates the children, he envoys them. He envoys how they get fed three times a day, and how they can play with many things. He isn't allowed to leave his quarters, only to do as he's told. He talks to the porcelain doll, when he gets to be with it, and treats it very lovely.

The Granny: She is only allowed one fish head a week. She doesn't get any furniture, just the clothes on her back.

Six- Instead of killing the North Wind, she must find a way to drive him out, to stop him, and take his place. To stop this wretched cycle.

Seven- Oblivious to everything, he doesn't go to the depths out of fear, but spoiled curiosity.

Dr. No- He is a man who takes children that seem to be capable of working in the Maw [from the outside world, mind you. The North Winds hoards his children] and mutilated them, distorts them, until they are fit to work in this dismal place.

The Lady- A being who tried to snatch children from Ferryman, to raise as her own.
