I heard legends arceus is good but absolutely terrifying cause the pokemon won't hesitate to maul you. Which is fair and honestly that caught my interest the most. Oh! I recommend playing the game whenever you get the chance. It's pretty, you will cry, and mild satisfaction of beating up high society.
Oh hey, same! Still remember how people used to joke "why don’t the Pokémon just attack the trainers“ (especially those of Team members), and now they do! Dodging, catching and the different fighting styles also look pretty cool, and (while I did get totally spoilered and consecutively caught up in Gen 5, not 4 nostalgia of all things) the plot sure seems interesting! First Pokémon game to get me hyped since GO
Tbh the only things stopping me from buying this game are its‘ full pricing since it’s‘ apparently a rather short game even for Pokémon, and what seems to be quite a lot of repetitive grinding to actually *complete* the dex entry for a Pokémon. Aaaaand all the other amazing games that came out/are coming out. It’s truly unfair
(Oh, btw! Did you hear! A leak says we might actually get to ride and/or race the legendaries! Called it with their tires 🛞. …also the grass cat might evolve into a bipedal. *sigh*.)

a collection of recent wips: vis dev and character design for the interactive vn I'm starting up, and a halloween pic :- )
oc stuff under the cut (*`・ω-)ノ
so if you've been following me for a bit, you've maybe seen me talk about it before, or noticed my tags, or w/e, but I've been in the process of developing a story for the last few years.
I've been calling it hell&highwater.
it's about a witch turned saintkiller turned bartender turned bodyguard, and the saint-to-be who falls in love with her. it has a tarot-based world and magic system, a culture centered around witchcraft and magic, people who can turn into dragons, Arcane Saints, lots of action, and i've made over 300 characters for it so far. most of the characters have three different names (magic !!). and just this last week, I started writing up the script and drawing out thumbnails as I...get ready to actually make the thing.
the wips above are some of designs I've been developing !!
The Magician Supreme, the Mindpalace Witch, Brandy Alexander
The High Priestess Supreme, Riddlewitch, Pantherpulse
The Empress Supreme, the Witched Twilight, Titan Fuego
The Emperor Supreme, Burn the Witch, Kiliman Torre
(and...a Halloween drawing of the protagonists as frankenstein and frankenstein's monster hohho)
i'm definitely going to be posting stuff about it here still, but if you want to see more or ALL i share about it; i'll be doing lots of h&h updates on my patreon (which IS 18+, h&h is going to be for mature audiences. also i'm trying to draw more smut). I've already posted lots of worldbuilding stuff there, and will be doing more as I go !! I rarely show wips but i'm pretty excited about...where all this is going, tbh.
wahoo :- )

hot take!! WARNING!!!
my favorite video game genre is actually when a game is given all the time in the world to be finished and be as high quality as possible and it isn't announced TIL it's ready so there's no pressure on the developers to rush things and probably less crunch culture because of that, delays being allowed anytime possible cause no one online even knows about the ding dang game yet.
and the game is filled with so much love and care, you can deadass tell the company and everyone involved in the project had a fucking blast making it.
and everyone is happy with the final result.
and the people getting the SUPRISE announcement get a new high quality and amazing experience on the same day it was announced because everything is already done to perfection already and no more work is need to be done.
have fun, enjoy our game.

I REMEMBER. What I was gonna ask. What is the least scary silent hill game. I want to get into it but I keep hearing it's so uniquely scary that I'm like. Nervous? To just start in blind. And I trust yalls judgement
HIIII YAY OK so preface that we have to actually played any silent hill but we've seen full playthroughs of all the main numbered ones (1-4)
in our personal opinion, the least scary would be the first one. partially because of the graphics and I think partly because it feels more... puzzle based maybe? we sort of felt like there was slightly less dread in it I guess compared to the others. and also the graphics.
silent hill is definitely uniquely scary, there's this sort of dread as you uncover what's going on and realizing the context for events and stuff like that. each silent hill game is definitely scary in its own way, but to us the first one felt the most like survival horror maybe? probably because the protagonist (Harry) is going in blind and doesn't really understand any of what's going on, his goal is just to find his daughter.
also in our opinion 4 is the most scary LMAO it's very creepy and certain scenes and monsters are just so genuinely disturbing, as well as the whole premise being. scary.
silent hill's horror is pretty scary to us mostly because we don't usually like more supernatural type horror? but the way silent hill does it is really really good, like the plot and characters and the subtle stuff, as well as the overarching narrative. like there are video essays about how silent hill 3 is about being a teenage girl and the transition to womanhood and stuff and it's SO GOOD because it's told through this really horrific journey and environment. that's one of the things we like about silent hill more than resident evil, there are bigger themes and are more well done in our opinion. like resident evil is a bit more light and the themes tend to be more about material things like human greed and capitalism while silent hill is more things like trauma and abuse and growing up.
that was kind of long ANYWAYS every silent hill game has a slightly different type of horror from the others, we would say starting with sh1 is good. it's a bit more straightforward and is slightly more focused on the protagonists physical quest to find his daughter compared to other games where the motives of the characters and environment feel a bit more convoluted and stressful.

hey did you know that slay the princess is out now? did you know it's on sale with a 10% launch discount until november 2nd? do you want to spend several hours getting sternly lectured by and annoying jonathan sims?? well this is your game
i think it's good and you should buy it but don't listen to me look at that 91 metascore—and for us, just a couple of lil guys make a game with no gameplay other than click dialogue options! idk must be fun
“An existentially horrific visual novel, with an incredibly well-written plot, a beautiful score and graphics that will enrapture all senses. One of the best narrative games of 2023.”
10/10 – Voxel Smash
“There isn’t a single thing I don’t like about Slay the Princess. The presentation is beautiful, the story is fantastic and moving, the voice acting of amazing characters is done phenomenally well, and the branching paths of the story give you what feels like unlimited possibilities.”
10/10 – Try Hard Guides
“Slay the Princess will stay with you for a long time, I think. It’s absurdist and dark and haunting in a way that not a lot of games are. If you have an itch for something that’s spooky but also morally confronting and you will be thinking about it for days to come, it’s impossible not to recommend this.”
A- – Player 2
Anyways more seriously truly from the bottom of our hearts thank you all so much for making this launch a world-shifting experience for us! We can't wait to share more games with you, starting with Episode 5 of Scarlet Hollow 👀
