I just want to say that I genuinely loved season two of Good Omens. It was comedic, exciting, and heart wrenching. I wouldn’t change anything about it.
The angst filled kiss was true to both characters and furthered the plot. It’s not what I hoped for but I’m taking it and burrowing it away for later like a chipmunk.
This tv show has affected me, and isn’t that the point of media; to make us feel what we normal wouldn’t, to help us grow and empathize with the unfamiliar. In that sense Good Omens is incredibly wonderful to me since it has made not only me but countless others feel a little more alive.
I personally find that incredibly beautiful.

linking my religious trauma to the go2 finale
! ! ! spoilers ahead and also a very confusing rant ! ! !
this finale made me realise some things abou how the religious trauma stills impacts me in such a hard way . . .
like, i really like to think in myself as crowley, not because i've painted my hair red to be more like her, but because i was raised deeply into the catholicism but slowly i started to question and to question to the point that i do not believe in the religion (or the great plan) anymore.
i thought i was 100% sure of things and that the religious trauma did not affect me at all. i was completely over it and okay.
but the season 2 made me realize that it was lonely and that i lied.
if i was in crowley's place, i would've totally acepted to go back to haeven and to going back to being an angel just to stay by the side of the person i love the most ardently and that i've wished to never be parted away from.
it's a stupid take? hell yeah.
but oh boy, it's literally the thing that i do everyday in here. i choose to still go to the church, to act invested in the religion and to help in the altar just so i don't get separeted from the people that i love the most, my parents.
it pains me just to be there, to hear god's words and not believing in them. like, i get so unconfortable there, to the point that it makes me want to peel off all my skin from my body, and i know that i don't belong in there and i don't want to belong.
but just the though of my parents not loving me anymore, of them being desapointed if i tell them the truth, makes me want to kill myself. i'd rather die than not being with them . . . oh just imagine oh desapointed victorian crowley is on me for this thoughs . .
but like . . . at the end of the day that's all the catholicism is about right ?? this toxic kinky behavior that encorages you to think that all of your sufferings and pains will be rewarded with inconditional love .
i'm not the crowley that i though i was. but one that i just wish to do it just like her and be able to firmly speak about my boundaries so i dont get hurt by being in a heaven that forces me to act that all my kindness and goodness was a gift of god.

RATE and REVIEW Good Omens 2 on IMDb!
ALERT my dears, the rating is still going strong, BUT every review i see on season 2 is highly NEGATIVE.
Everyone who bothers to write a review seems to be the ones that disliked season 2, and want to drag it through the mud. Calling it a disappointment, boring, dull, woke, let down, pointless, not worth a shot etc. They are discouraging people from watching it.
(ofc these are people who do not like the romance, but they aren't just the usual obvious haters tears, they get creative in their obligatory 600 characters)
Please do us a favor and go rate and review it if you liked it and want amazon -and others- to know.

'Good Omens' Season 2 Review
#GoodOmens2 wonderfully captures the essence of the original novel, offering a worthy continuation of the beloved story.
Good Omens, the fantasy-comedy series based on the beloved novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, has returned for a second season. Good Omens 2, which is an original continuation of the novel, brilliantly expands the story of unlikely partners Aziraphale the Angel (Michael Sheen) and Crowley the Demon (David Tennant), while maintaining the series’ quirky wit and charming humour. Having been…

Review of Good Omens 2 (with no spoilers)
Honestly when I was watching it I was a little disappointed. Some things were really good, like two of the "minisodes", the humour, the music, Jim, Shax, Muriel (God I love that character), but the whole thing and the plot (with Jim, I mean, not the 10 last minutes) kinda felt like a fanfiction. Messy, absurd, made to please the fans ect... Then I thought of it. And I changed my mind.
First, this season is a kind of bridge to the 3rd season. It feels disappointing because it's a sort of a "huîs-clot". There's not a lot of point of view, no big adventure, no big Armageddon. After the book, after the first season, it feel empty. But the fact is... it's not a badly written season. I just forget what Good Omens was. Like I said, the absurd humour is as good as in s1. And the "absurd" plot is exactly in the spirit of s1 too.
Second, when you think of it, the whole structure, the whole season is in mirror, and all about Aziraphale and Crowley relationship. If you watch it with that on mind, you will no be disappointed. Maybe there's things less well done than others, like Maggie and Nina love story which had... Not enough time to be appreciated ? And I don't see what's the purpose of the 1941's minisode.
Finally, there's the end. The very end, I mean. Oh God. Wow. That was brilliant. The dialogue. The actors. I won't spoil, so I can't talk about it, but well done. Now we know there will be a season 3, and that will be damn interesting.
So, let's conclude...
It's a good season, who tells less thing than the first one and is focused on Crowley and Aziraphale. But still pleasant by lot of way. But you may be a little lost. And you may not like it. But watch it please so the 3rd season won't be cancelled.
And please excuse my terrible English. 😅

Good Omens-2019 British
I’m kicking off this review blog with something I have been buzzing about since watching season two (Which I may have binged in a day it was that good) and that is Good Omens.
Tumblr media
Adapted from the novel of the same title by Terry Pratchett season one follows the story of angel Aziraphale played by Micheal Sheen and fallen angel/demon Crowley play by David Tennant trying to stop Armageddon from taking place. Even though one is from heaven and the other serves hell; since time begins they keep encountering each other and form a close friendship.
Tumblr media
The story line sticks close to the book in season one and I definitely shipped the two characters loving the whole opposites attract trope. As the season ended in the same way the book ended I thought that was that and Aziraphale and Crowley would only ever get to be together buried in fan fiction and in the hearts of all fujoshi’s until season two…
Tumblr media
The whole season leaned closer on their relationship and romance as a whole with hints of the pair being more than good friends throughout until the last episode where things get real! Eeek! I won’t give away any more spoilers but I would highly recommend watching this series. The characters and how their relationship develops feels really genuine and is beautiful to watch.
Rating: 4/5

where is my wife
Amazon review on this Morrow edition of "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett I found this morning that left me laughing in tears right from the title.
... Actually, in hindsight, having seen the ineffable divorce™️ of Season 2, the fact that the only thing left on the cover is his glass of wine makes me so sad. It's like Crowley, having now been through all that, has left his glass of wine in the bookshop and is refusing to come back since Aziraphale is gone. Muriel doesn't really want to touch what Crowley left in the hopes he will be back soon and maybe still want his glass of "whine", whatever that is. He seemed sad last time they saw him, so that's probably what they meant by "whine".
.... Wait a minute though, did Aziraphale write this review?!? "WHERE IS MY WIFE?" ?!?!?
Okay it's time to tag him, this has gone off the rails and so have I. @neil-gaiman please explain. Thank you. (Love your work, actually. But also... What is going on here.)
Update, not even 10 hours after I originally posted this: Neil himself liked the post. I'm freaking out a normal amount about it.

PS: here's a lil thank you post for all the notes I'm getting, holy hell!!!

Normally we'd make a joke about Good Omens here but we're still too emotionally fragile about it to do so.
The long-awaited second season of Good Omens is finally out on @primevideo, and, well, it's gonna be a long wait for season three. Thanks to all the fan artists and fic writers who will hold us over until then. The Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir movie premiered on @netflix, and fans are delighting in drawing comparisons with the show. Five Nights at Freddy's Ruin DLC dropped, so we hope all y'all are enjoying all the new frightening gameplay. One of the most anticipated manga chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen was animated in the latest episode, while the manga itself has been a continual spiral of mind-blowing fights. The trailer for the film adaptation of Red, White, & Royal Blue is whipping fans into a tizzy. Finally, Twitter is X now. Sure. This is Tumblr's Week in Review.

religious trauma & the good omens 2 finale
! ! ! spoilers ahead and also a very confusing rant bc this finale made me think about my religious trauma and how it stills affects me ! ! !
i'm a firm believer that azi just made the most terrible decision ever seen on earth instead that the fuckass metraton drugged his coffe or miracled a change in his heart . . . because religious trauma can just get into your head in a way that really fucks u up . . .
like what comming from and being in the "good" side does to aziraphale is pretty well developed and showed across the episodes from both seasons. even that now he's together with crowley in their own side, he stills firmly believes in heaven = good, hell = bad.
and because of this belief that is deeply rooted into him, he can't help but associate all the things that made him love crowley to little remaining pieces of heaven inside her. for aziraphale, what makes crowley stand apart from other fallen angles angels is that she saw the flaws in the great plan and choose to fight it.
but i don't think that aziraphale believes that it was crowley's free will to go against the great plan, but the remaining bits of heaven inside her fighting the bad demonic side and making her fight for the right things, the way god planned it all.
he mistook crowley's kindness and goodness with humanity because he's blinded by the perception that all good things and influences belong to god and to heaven.
the heaven that aziraphale chose to return stills the same heaven that hunted him and almost burned him to non-existence simply because he did what his heart told him to do, because he saw the flaws in the great plan and choose to fight it, even if his morals constantly made him think that he was doing wrong by being against god's wishes.
and we can't deny that he tricks himself away from guilt by believing that's all part of a bigger god's plan, that all he did was right and god proudly agrees with it even if the entirety of heaven does not to.
when this is the aziraphale we know, is not hard to believe that the metraton would not have much work to do in convincing him to going back to heaven.
and the metraton is said to be the voice of god herself ... this is such an important detail to remember, because aziraphale can deal with being rejected by heaven by reling in the omnipotent & silent presence of god silently telling him that he did no wrong. but when the voice of god speaks, how can he not hear it ??
like,, do you guys have the slightest ideia of how many times church people say the most evil and hurtfull things in the name of god, just like the metraton, to manipulate and trick people into staying into religion ???
and one of the main points of churches that make people stay, is the feeling of belonging, even that they are saying things that hurt you deeply inside using god's voice, they also make you feel loved and seem.
even after being kicked out of heaven to their own side, aziraphale stills deeply believes that heaven is the only right choice, in his heart he knows that he is a good being, and so is crowley . . . he feels that they belong to heaven, like all good things.
he can recognize all heavens wrongs such as killing job's kids for a fun bet or drowning everybody else but noah's family and some pair of animals, or to end the entire world just for a war between heaven and hell. and he desaproves it all, to the point of going against it because he choses the good side and all goodness belongs to god (even if god's wishes for all this harm to happen anyway)
and you guys realize how tempting it is to go back to the good and right side but also to a position that offers you the power of changing all the institutional failures of heaven ?? not only that but also allows him to still being by crowley's side ??
his angelic brain got corrupted to the point that he can't see that all heaven (him included) do is to hurt people but geting away with it by using god's name and goodness.
he can't see that being back in heaven would hurt crowley more than leaving him behind. because he believes that she deserves forgiveness and deserves heaven.
he got heartbroken after she refused his proposal but he didn't run back to her (even if crowley stayed there and waited and hoped for it to happen) because aziraphale is certain about his beliefs and if he cannot change heaven with crowley, he can change heaven for her.
that's why aziraphale smiles in that lift ride.
he thinks he will comeback to get crowley to heaven and finally be able to be toghether with the love of his life after he changes heaven for even better . . .

I’d like to imagine every time Crowley accidentally falls asleep in the bookshop Aziraphale takes especially good care of him
He shuts all the blinds, dims the lights, carefully drapes one of the couch blankets over him, and silently reads in the chair across from him (He definitely glances over a few times between pages)
And maybe just maybe one day Aziraphales curiosity gets the best of him and Crowley wakes up to see him comfortably sleeping in his chair so he decides to get up, remove the book from his lap, and drape the now warm blanket over him instead
