Hello, do you have any desi movie recommendations for a european such as myself? And do you know where to find such movies with english subtitles?

I've always lived the short bits of desi movies I've seen on gifs and stuff but i wouldn't know where to start. I'm a big fan of romcom if it helps narrow down your recommendations. Thank you!!

Oh hey! These are the underrated Telugu film recommendations that I already posted on here, they're underrated but they're definitely worth the watch (ig they have subtitles on the streaming platforms I mentioned and most of them are rom coms). I'm mostly a curator of hindi, english and telugu films so you might find others recommending other language or more films💗

1.

Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha (Telugu)

(it's available on Amazon Prime with subtitles, kindly check if it's the same in your country) - it's a comedy of errors that takes root in the protagonist willing to do anything for the girl he loves. Even drive her nieces and nephew across state with a slew of gangsters on his tail.

2.

Black (Hindi)

(Rani Mukherjee and Amitabh Bachchan) - I have no words for this movie... It's a piece of art is all I can say. It's not a romcom though, it's like the Hellen Keller case but make it Indian. If you're venturing into desi movies, it'd be a wonderful experience to enter the art this way.

3.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (Hindi)

This has a star studded cast and omg it's made our childhood over here in India. It has cute dance numbers and celebrations. It's a pakka romcom/family drama movie and you'll be addicted to the theme song that plays literally every 10 seconds

4.

Dil Chahta Hai (Hindi)

A story about 3 friends who find love all in their own way. A heartfelt movie about friendship and how each perceives love.

5.

Dil Dhadakne Do (Hindi)

Partly a romcom but full time chaotic family drama but more refined lol. It's about a rich emotionally-broken fam roaming Greece on a cruise in an anniversary party of the parents.

6.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara - If you haven't been out in a while, this movie will give you all the FOMO of the world lol. Three friends (again haha) set out to roam Spain for a bachelor's trip and find themselves. It's like a fest for the eyes (and i'm not just talking about the sceneries 🙈)

7.

Hello

(it's on disney hotstar?) A heartfelt romance of a boy and a girl's happenstance of a friendship. They cherish the short memories before they are torn apart from each other and years later, they meet each other without knowing who the other is.

8.

Oohalu Gusagusalaade

A romcom/comedy of errors where our protagonist has the bad luck of having to help his boss get a girl, only that girl turns out to be his first love. (I linked the movie available on youtube, it has english subtitles)

9.

English Vinglish

(not a romcom, so sorry, but it's a must watch with all the right emotions) Our protagonist is looked down upon by her family for not knowing English. When she goes abroad for her niece's wedding, she makes sure to learn the language that would make them consider her one of them.

Dear Zindagi

(you can rent it on youtube or watch on netflix maybe?) more of a find-yourself film again, but this is so relatable and heartfelt... a successful cinematographer visits a psychologist for therapy and he helps her see her life in a new way. Starring Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan. Must watch Indian film

Jab We Met

Honestly if you don't watch this, i have failed you. This is the story that basically defined 2/3rd of every desi girl's personality. Aditya is a suicidal millionaire with no hopes on life. He meets Geet, an over-enthusiastic girl with a peculiar outlook on fate. One missed train and a brothel later, his life turns for the better. (the songs HIT and so does the ship, it's just iconic, this is called positive romance)

Nuvvu Naaku Nachav

(i have no idea where you can find it but when you do, i promise you the jokes are funny. they're the real telugu comedy if i may so) an unemployed Venky moves into his father's friend's house. It is here he starts falling for the friend's daughter, who might or might not be engaged. (no physical cheating)

Barfi!

I saved the best for last😎 This masterpiece can be found on Netflix with english subtitles. It's a romcom/comedy of errors/fucking heartfelt love story. It will make you cry if you're engrossed. Barfi, a man who cannot hear or speak, meets his autistic childhood friend Rimjhim when he wants to kidnap her for money. (it is NOT stockholm syndrome) If you do not watch this movie, I might as well cry🥺🥺

So there you go, 12 more must watch/underrated desi movies. I'm assuming you're open to the Indian way of cinematography and aren't one of those who judge simply because it's different from what they're used to. These are the gems chosen out of a lot others💗hope you like them!

yeah I tried to be good and *not* spend those 2 hours on watching Fury Road, and technically I didn't cuz I only listened to it while drawing this! I wanted to do a crosshatching exercise and took the opportunity to draw a frame from the movie, even though it's techncially two frames meshed together cuz the War Boys never actually point all at the same time while showing their faces.

Aaaand I am not posting this to my art blog cuz this is not fanart polished and presented for your consumption, this is me rambling about stuff while I show you a pretty picture I made for fun. Feels somehow less performative if I post it here on my personal blog than over at my art blog, and I wasn't even aware how much of a performance that actually was. I mean, it's fun in some ways, but I also tightly control what I post there, so perhaps that's the wrong approach to engage with fandom. idk, will have to think on that. This is me trying to figure it out until May when Furiosa hits cinemas and i HOPE fandom explodes again in a whirlwind of fire and gasoline (also on fire).

He already knew all your antics and favorite legends and movies, you just couldn't stop talking about-- ANYTHING nerdy. Nobody denies that you are to intense for your passion. And maybe it's why Red Son got attracted by you.

It was a simple but well defined scheduled date he planned: First, a nice walk through the park, then you to arrived to the cinema that he "arranged" to be private, and precisely playing the last movie of Monkey King Cop: The Seventh of the 75 Transformations (Who's making this movies, and WHY you love them so much?!)... AAAAND after the movie... OK, he hasn't planned what come next, but it's just because he knows the movie would annoy him. But, anything for seeing you smile.

You two met at the entrance of the park that evening. The place was gourgous, the fresh air was great and there are flowers everywhere... And you knew nothing about the plans until your boyfriend said it.

"MKC 7?!" you were already beanning of joy. "I can't belive it!!! Are we really going to watch the movie?"

"Indeed we will." he said full of proud. "Because I, RED SON, spoke to the manager of the cinema and demanded a private proyection. Just for the two of us." You squealed and squished him hard, making him blush. "The movie would star in 45 minutes, enough time to take a little walk, having a nice conversation..."

DRIP

He felt a drop in his shoulder. Then a few more on his head, one of his nose... It was slighly raining. He muterred an 'oh no', it was a bad sign.

"Oh come on, it's just a little rain." you tried to cheer him up. "It'll scatter."

But it didn't. In fact, in less than a second it was DOWNPOUR!! You both run thorugh the park looking for shelter, the ground was already muddy and slippery. In a near tree you two stoped, Red was already nervous by the cold feeling of his wet jacket; and by seeing you all drenched. He tried to breathe and remain calm. "Stupid rain-- *sigh* No matter! We can dry ourselfs in the restrooms." That was a good plan.

When the rain stopped for a moment you both rushed to the cinema... To find the employes closing it.

"WHAT IT'S THE MEANING OF THIS!?!?" The demon was outraged, his hair and eyes were on fire. "I'VE RESERVED THIS PLACE FOR MONTHS!!! OPEN THE GATES!!" The terrorized employes excused themselfs, but there's malfunctions on the screen proyectors and there was nothing to do at the moment. You had to pull him away from burn the poor guys.

And it was still raining...

"Hey~" You triend to confort him, holding his trembling hand. "We just had bad luck. And we can always watch the movie another day-- Or any other one...." Your boyfriend inhale a deep breathe and holded you hand back. "Did you know this movie they made about your father and Sun Wukong? The Havoc in Heaven. It's a good movie, considerated a cult one. But Sun Wukong... Well, he hates how is he protraited on this movie." A chuckle came throught his mouth and you bumped his shoulder with yours. "Ah hah! You're finally in a good mood!"

"It's because your nerdy talk it's too much for me." he replied smiling at you.

Oh well... The date was a compleatly disaster. The weather were againts him, the movie theater was closed... He hated the rain. And yet, your nerdy-geek talking soothed him. You're so dorky. But you're HIS beloved dorky.

Next time, a home date, in his palace: movie and dinner.

1. Last song i listened to: Madou - Niets Is Voor Altijd That song started my love for that band! ...well, the album. not much more to discover sadly. The texts are something you wouldnt expect from the sound of the music ... they are dark and bitter, reflecting on the harsh realities of life. It's quite an outstanding mix!

2. Favorite color: for a long time now my colour can be found in the realms of dark and warm greens and blues. warm and dark purples are also welcome. as for clothing, if not black, i love cold colours.

3. Last tv show I watched: like watched watched? really being invested in? invested in a show, in times where shows get cancelled after everyone got hooked? I guess it was disenchantment. Still positively shocked they actually finished the show properly.

4. Currently watching: i do enjoy an episode of columbo here and there.

5. Sweet, savory, or spicy: As someone who loves baking, sweet it is. Savory fucking rules too. Spicy, as in the fire of the tongue? Or as in the tasty diversity of many ground up dried plant parts? As someone who loves baking, spicy it is. Ah all three are actually wonderful. Would never want to get rid of one.

7. Current obsession: I think my friends (may the gods bless their souls) can tell better than me. I guess it's crows. Actually now that i think about it, yes. Crows. New year, new things

Šťastný nový rok!

- Okay, to be honest, this saying comes a bit late haha but I mean it's been more than a month since I last posted here. And since then there was a turn of the year and now we're already here in 2024. Of course, at the end of last year, many things were happening too but I'll keep the topic of Christmas and New Year's Eve short, otherwise, it would get out of hand before I could even shed light on the current month.;D

To sum it up: I enjoyed a very nice Christmas holiday with my family, had the chance to see many of my friends again and to name some events - I was in the theatre, went partying, watched a movie in the cinema, went bowling and celebrated New Year's Eve together with my friends. I was pottering with my sister, enjoyed a movie night as well as going on lots of coffee dates with my girls and that's not even all…

My holidays at home were wonderful and I'm so happy that I took the chance to meet so many people again but therefore it was also busier than expected and there was definitely not enough time to relax completely. That's also what I felt when I came back to Plzeň and has probably been the reason for me to become ill right on my first day of work. :/ Gladly I only needed a bit of rest and was able to be back already the following day. The first conversations were very nice and I felt the energy everyone had for the new year. It felt good to be back in a routine and to have some order in my everyday life again.

Nevertheless, I had the feeling that it was time for some change. I mean - new year, new resolutions and new motivation to try something different, right? That's why I had some "first times" in January… Let's start with the cultural part of my life.;) This month I visited the Great Theatre in Plzeň for the first time and watched a performance of "The Nutcracker" together with my colleague Lenka. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that this was one of the best theatre visits I've had in my life so far. The costumes, the ballet performance, the stage design, the live orchestra together with the choir and the mix of original pieces with modern and humorous parts - everything was just right and I felt more than entertained during that evening. The Great Theatre itself is beautifully detailed as well as quite impressive and of course, our tickets for the next show at the beginning of February as well as in April have already been booked and I'm looking forward to being there again soon.

I also felt extremely motivated for sports in the new year. Even though I had already been active here before and had mainly done home workouts and short runs, I also wanted to try something new. So, on the one hand, I spontaneously bought some really good running shoes to motivate myself a little more to jog aaaand I also completed my first volleyball training here last week! :D This was honestly a really spontaneous thing. I played this sport for about 1 year, when I was younger and after that almost every summer at the beach or sometimes in school and I still love the combination of playing in a team and moving my body in various ways. So I thought to myself "Why not starting again? – but I think one thing that has stopped me a bit so far was the fact that this team sport also lives from communication and I was not sure if I would find one club in Plzeň where English conversation was possible too. But then I just surfed the Internet and it didn't take me long to find this cool club named "Beach Service" that offers beach volleyball training for young people as well as adults. After a short email exchange and phone call with all the information I needed, I had my first training session. It was definitely tough but enjoyable at the same time and it's so nice how the coaches always explain to me everything in English again. I'm motivated to continue with the sport and of course, I'll let you know if they already send me to the Olympics this year. ;D

This month I also met Isabelle, the new German volunteer of "Tandem", another organization here in Plzeň. Our energy matched right away and we quickly realized that we had a lot in common. At our second meeting Isabelle and I went to the cinema before we had dinner at the "Pivstro" (the best Burger place in Plzeň :D) and took a nightcap at one of my favourites - "Café Regner". We talked so much and when I arrived home I only saw the message from Isabelle saying "I just realized that we spent 6 hours together!!" - and I also thought how crazy it is that time flies by when you feel comfortable around somebody because that was exactly what I experienced with her. :)

There is also some news at work. Besides the tasks I've already had before I started a new little project outside of TOTEM. Every Tuesday I go to a school for one to two hours and join the English lesson for children between 9 and 11 years. I remember, how excited they have been and how overwhelmed I was when I first visited them. It was something completely new for me as the children of course were very energetic and boisterous- the opposite of the seniors I work with. But I've got used to it and they are also not as agitated as at our first meeting but always happy to see me haha. And I'm very happy to meet them too, because everyone is so unique and lovely and at the same time it's nice to have some more variety at work right now.

But I want to be honest with you, besides all the good and exciting things that happen, I'm not super happy all the time. I can remember how it took me a few days to get used to being here again, to have a routine again, and sometimes things at work don't go as planned and I have the feeling that I could do better. For example in the conversational lessons, when I create a video for the TOTEM YouTube channel, or during my Czech lessons when I have the perception that I should be much better in the language so far. But in those moments I often tell myself to not concentrate on the negative thoughts I have or mistakes I make but rather to focus on the good things and on the positive feedback I get. In those moments I try to be proud of everything I've not only achieved but also learned so far. I want to make my time here enjoyable and unforgettable and therefore I want to look back at my year without thinking about the negative situations but with a smile on my face and the thought that everything happened for a reason and that I'm glad for all the experiences I was able to make. :)

Anyone else have REALLY random dreams like:

Going to the cinema to watch a movie - see snippets of scenes from said movie. From what I can gather, the plot was a bunch of people where trying to release the will of Nero, the god of death, on the world, and some guy got eaten by crows. The good guys who believed in God (the Christian God) were trying to stop it - they won...

Then, after, I start criticising the film for being historically in accurate because 'they were mixing pantheons, Nero is Greek/Roman', 'Nero isn't featured in the bible', 'if they'd have put Satan or Hades - which are two different characters - then fair game'

Only to WAKE UP, Be very confused because a) I woke up and not just seen a film aaaand b) I'm still thinking about that argument after the "film".

Soo I look up who is Nero?? And guess what

NERO'S NOT EVEN A GOD IN ANOTHER BELIEF SYSTEM!!! HES BLUMMING ROMAN EMPEROR WHO - FROM WHAT I CAN TELL - FLED AND UNALIVED HIMSELF SOMEWHERE CAUSING A CIVIL WAR!!!

How did my brain get this sooooo wrong... I'm not even mad about the extremely disturbing film my brain made me watch in my dreams I'm just mad that it mixed my own flipping faith with some random roman general.

I can't even think of doing anything recently where I would have picked up that name ...

I honestly enjoyed it!!!! I haven’t seen it in a good while, and I know it’s not a the Best mcu film, but I still had a good time watching it and I loved the dynamics between thor, loki, and jane interacting after all their history from the first thor film lmao (I remember when I watched it for the first time in the cinema I straight up like swooned when loki shielded Jane in that one scene ADKSHS)

Victoria looked at the scenery in front of her. She tried to focus on the beauty of nature but she was distracted by something. 

Someone. 

She felt Liam’s eyes on her as if awaiting her reaction. After talking for a little bit more, Liam insisted on taking her to his favorite spot in the forest. It was a little cave, completely covered by mud, now though, completely covered with snow. The cave was surrounded by trees and Liam told her that not many people knew about the cave since it wasn’t visible thanks to the trees around.

“It’s like a fairytale,” she finally said, still aware of Liam’s presence. “Like a forest straight from the Grimms’ fairytales.”

Liam chuckled. “As far as I’m concerned, forests in their stories weren’t exactly safe or beautiful.”

Victoria turned to face him, the corners of her lips slightly raised. “True, but I’ve always found them magical. Just like the fairytales themselves.”

“Ah, yes. The fairy godmother and everything.”

“Actually, no.” Victoria shook her head. “There was no fairy godmother in the original. It’s Hollywood’s creation. In the original, there’s mother cutting their daughters’ feet so the shoe would fit instead.”

Liam’s eyes widened.

“I suppose that’s one less fairytale I’d read to my children,” he chuckled. “I had no idea.”

“Yeah, I read the original fairytales and wasn’t impressed with how Hollywood adapted them. Did you know that in the original Little Mermaid by Andersen, Little Mermaid doesn’t marry the prince? He marries another princess and the Little Mermaid has to kill the prince on his wedding night to be a mermaid again.”

“I… certainly have to read some of these again. I didn’t even realize how brutal these fairytales can be.” Liam admitted. “I assume you weren’t happy with this adaptation either?”

“No,” she shook her head. “I mean, I like how sweet and romantic those Disney versions are but adapting a story and then not sticking to it is kind of a pet peeve of mine.”

“I see.”

“Sorry, it’s silly and I’m talking too much,” Victoria said quickly and turned her attention to the trees. Why couldn’t she stop talking? She just met Liam and started telling him about how bloody original fairytales can be. Great job, Tori. This is how you scare people, not make them interested in you.

“I would say it’s rather fascinating.” Victoria turned to him, surprised as he went on. “As I said, I had no idea about the originals but you made me want to read them.” He smiled at her and she felt her cheeks were blushing. “You must be a pretty harsh critic, huh?”

She let out a hearty laugh but quickly covered her mouth with her hands. “Mhm. Sometimes.” If I were a critic I would be harsh. Probably. Can’t say since I’m not one.

“What’s your favorite movie then? The one you just can’t criticize.”

“Gold Rush. I love the humor and I love how Chaplin showed real issues through comedy. No special effects, no computers, and these black and white, no sound movies are often better than what Hollywood offers us now.”

“Classics. Interesting.” Liam nodded. Victoria opened her mouth to apologize again for talking too much about cinema but Liam was first. “I actually preferred Modern Times. Chaplin showed a true genius there and I loved how he mixed the sound into this silent movie. Although, I must admit, Buster Keaton was master of comedy for me.”

Victoria looked at him, her eyes slightly widened. No one, maybe except for some of her professors and fellow students, heard of Keaton. She believed he was one of the most underrated comedians but anytime she’d talk about him, no one would know who was she referring to.

Liam kept on talking about his favorite movies as they were walking but all Victoria could think of was how oddly comfortable she felt being with him.

After, what felt like a minute but was actually two hours, Victoria said goodbye to Liam and raced back to the set. She hoped Hana didn’t wait too long for; she had promised her to eat dinner together. Liam told her he had to join his friends somewhere and the two separated, though a little reluctantly. Victoria was still in awe of Liam but tried not to read too much into it. It was only a nice encounter with a stranger in the Cordonian forest.

“Hana!” Victoria called out as she spotted her friend. Hana was standing with a man that Victoria had never seen before and waved at her when she saw her.

“I was getting worried,” Hana confessed and Victoria felt guilty.

“I’m sorry, I couldn’t stop admiring the beauty of Cordonian landscape.”

“Ah, yes, Cordonia is beautiful,” the man standing next to Hana said and both women turned to him.

“Uhh, I almost forgot. Maxwell, this is my friend and co-star, Tori. And this is Maxwell. He’s the friend of the King and also my future biographer.”

“Oh, it’s so nice to—”

“O M G! I am so happy to meet Hana Lee’s friends! How long have you known Hana? What is she like as a friend? I bet she’s the best. Is Tori your full name?”

“Umm…” Victoria looked at Hana confused but her friend only shrugged.

“Maxwell wants to write a book about me and I couldn’t say no. Literally,” Hana added for only Victoria to hear.

“Nice to meet you, Maxwell. Tori is a nickname only for my friends and my full name is—”

“Brooks!”

“Sorry, I’ll be right back!” Victoria apologized and ran to a crew member that just called her name. Hana nodded in response and Maxwell noted something in his notebook.

“Maxwell! There you are!”

“Liam! I thought you forgot about me. Where have you been?” Maxwell asked as Liam walked up to him and Hana.

“I had… some thing to do. It’s a pleasure to see you again, lady Hana. I hope you’re enjoying your stay in Cordonia.” Liam turned to Hana.

“It’s even more beautiful here than I remembered. I hope I’ll have some time to visit Applewood  again, it must be so pretty this time of the year.”

“Applewood is always pretty.” Liam smiled and Hana laughed. “I’m afraid we should get going. Duty calls.”

“But do we have to?” Maxwell pouted.

“Maxwell, you’ve talked to lady Hana for two hours, let’s give her a break,” Liam said and Hana sent him a grateful smile.

“Fine, fine. It was a pleasure, Hana! I hope to see you again, soon.”

“Likewise.” Hana waved Maxwell goodbye as he and Liam started to walk away.

“Sorry, there was a problem with one of my scenes.” Victoria appeared next to Hana causing the actress to jump. “Where’s Maxwell?”

“He had to go. The King was here.”

“Wait, what? The King of Cordonia was here? While I was sorting out my scenes?” Victoria asked and Hana nodded. “Oh man. Just my luck. I wish I could meet him, too.”

“His friend is writing my biography, I’m sure you’ll have a chance,” Hana chuckled.

“Yeah, about that… How… did that happen?” Hana laughed as she took her friend’s arm to go for a dinner.

“Chapter one would be called The Star in the Womb. I think I could get some ultrasound pictures of Hana because I’m sure she was very photogenic back then as well.”

“What on Earth are you talking about?” Drake put his book down as Maxwell read his notes out loud.

“What? If this is going to be Hana Lee’s first biography, I have to make sure it is perfect. What so you think, Liam?”

“Hmm? Yes, wonderful idea.” Liam didn’t even look at Maxwell, his eyes were glued to his phone, which was a rather rare occurrence. Maxwell looked at Drake triumphantly.

“What?! Did you even hear what Maxwell came up with? He wants to describe Hana Lee’s time in the womb.”

“That’s a good move, indeed.”

“Seriously, what is going on Liam? What are you doing?” Drake tried to take Liam’s phone but he didn’t let him.

“Nothing.”

“Liam. What happened? You’ve been acting weird since yesterday. You’re never that absent-minded.”

“Nothing happened!”

“Uh uh,” Maxwell cut in. “You’re different. Even Drake noticed.

“Hey!”

“Nothing happened,” Liam tried to reassure his friend but they still were looking at him as if he lost his mind. Liam shook his head, resigned, and Drake quickly snatched his phone. His eyes went wide as he saw what Liam was doing.

“Little mermaid? You’re reading little mermaid?”

“What?” Maxwell asked, glancing at Liam’s phone.

“Did you know that Little Mermaid tried to kill the prince when he didn’t marry her?” 

“What?” Drake was confused.

“I need to go for a walk,” Liam said taking his phone from Drake’s hand.

“Wait! Liam, wait! Can we invite Hana to the palace for dinner tonight? I want to talk to her and I’m sure she’d like to talk to you as well.”

“Mhm, sure. You can invite her.”

“Ohh, and let’s invite Tori, she seemed nice!”

“Who’s Tori?” Liam asked as he was putting on his coat.

“Hana’s friend and co-star. We met yesterday, just before you came. I felt good energy from her,” Maxwell explained.

“Hmm, sure, let’s invite them both.” Liam finished putting on his coat and shoes. “Tell the kitchen staff to prepare the dinner and tell Antonio to invite Hana and her friends. Just please, be civil. And no asking for ultrasound!” Liam warned before heading out, completely oblivious to the happy break-dance Maxwell just performed.

“Aaaand CUT!” The director’s voice startled Victoria as she was dozing off on a chair, waiting for Hana to finish her scene. “That’s it everybody, we’re done for the day.”

“Finally,” Victoria thought as she yawned. She glanced at her phone and quickly did the math in her head. They were on set for ten hours with only one thirty-minute break.

“Hungry?” Hana appeared next to her, smiling and full of energy as if she wasn’t working for almost a full day.

“You have no idea. Pizza?” Victoria suggested and Hana nodded.

“That sounds—Excuse me for a second.” Hana looked at her friend apologetically as she took out her ringing phone. “Hello?”

Victoria walked away a little to give Hana some privacy. She wondered if Liam went to the forest today as well. Or if he watched any of the films she recommended. To be fair, Liam was all she could think of. She sighed looking at the set in front of her. Even though, she didn’t want to complain about her job, she wanted nothing more than to go to the forest to relax. And maybe meet Liam again. Maybe.

“I have the greatest news and you’ll love it!” Hana was giddy with excitement and Victoria wondered how she was still so alive after such a long day at work.

“The pizza place decided to give us our pizzas for free? Johnny Depp finally got his Oscar?”

Hana shook her head laughing. “No, but close. Prepare your best outfit, we’ve been invited for a dinner with the King.”

i’ve always grew up trying to understand everyone and seeing everything from different points of view, i guess that’s the quiet and gifted only child in me.

well, i do like to think i’m smart most of the time. i really enjoy studying my favorite topics, such as philosophy, art, cinema and history. now i’m also trying to study french, so let’s hope i get to learn that!!

as you said, i would love to have some positive impact in the world, especially with my art. i want to make something meaningful, but also that people can enjoy and use for a kind of escape from all their problems (as i do). i want to have people smiling and crying and laughing because of my stories, i dream about making that happen one day.

and i really love anything poetic. music, movies, books, poems and haikus (i actually write them and i have won first place in a haiku contest!!! it’s something i’m very proud of). i love anything that can make me feel things, you know? stuff that can move me and change me somehow.

also love brown, maroon, black, emerald, any dark colors, really. and i like to believe that i have a good taste in tv series hahaha (anyone that loves hannibal does, right?). speaking of hannibal, if anyone knows any piece of art (movie, series, book, etc) that somehow resembles that please send me because i’m desperate for something as good as that tv show.
