For the Unusual Fic-Specific Asks for Authors ask game – would you be interested in doing Perspective Flip for This World (is only gonna break your heart), chapter 1’s head trauma fic?? If you want a specific character I think Legend would be interesting, but honestly I’d love to see any character’s POV! (I love this fic so much I need to put in an actual decent comment for it asdfgh)
I'm notoriously slow at writing fiuhshsdfush sorry, but it's incomplete. I probably didn't get to the part you most wanted, but I work the rest of the week, then have to host family for 5 days, so I'm not going to have a chance to write again for a good bit. Hopefully this is still fun to read! I might be able to get to the rest when life slows down.
Based on this short fic.
--
“Four?” Legend questioned, wariness coloring his tone. “You good?”
“Yeah,” Four rasped. His fingers flexed around the hilt of the Four Sword over and over again. Even from across the field, it was easy to see that his breaths were too shallow. He licked his lips. “Wild, could I have more of that herbal water?”
Wild’s ears drooped guiltily. “I’m sorry, but there’s not much left, and Warriors still hasn’t had any.”
Legend sent a sharp look to Warriors, cutting off the self-sacrificial bullshit before it could even begin with a well-timed frown. Warriors acted like he didn’t notice, but he pressed his lips together as he tied off the last of Time’s bandages. Drama queen.
“Right,” Four murmured. He handed his empty cup back, then tugged on his hair. His hand visibly trembled. “Sorry, I wasn’t thinking.”
Sky questioned Four about an injury, and several others joined in. Legend tuned them out, thumbing one of the heart rings as he watched Hyrule. The traveler swayed a little as he approached, and he sat down without an iota of grace. Sweat dampened both their arms as he leaned against Legend. It was uncomfortable; Legend didn’t consider moving.
“Don’t volunteer for watch tonight,” he murmured, rolling his eyes when Hyrule stuck out his tongue.
"Don't tell me what to do, Leg."
“Bitch.”
“Worrywort.”
Before Legend could think of a comeback, he noticed Four beginning to pace. The grass nearly reached the smithy’s knees.
“I’m not… me. I mean I am, but…” Four frowned. “I’m not just me. That’s the problem.”
Hyrule crossed his legs where he sat. “You can tell us. We’ll do whatever we can to help.”
Four’s eyes darted along the length of the Four Sword as if searching for something. “For you to understand, there’s something I need to…” He trailed off a sharp exhale. “I named myself for the Four Sword because—because drawing it gives me the ability to split into four separate versions of myself. Only… it’s not working now.”
“Like cloning?” Legend asked, thinking back on some of the oddities he’d come across on his quests.
“No. They represent different parts of me. They’re my colors.” Four’s sudden smile was a fragile thing. “My sense of reason, my sentiment, my temper, my bravery. Obviously, it’s more complicated than that, but that’s the gist. And right now…” Once more, he touched the dried blood along his hairline. “I can’t hear them at all. I can’t split.”
“Split?” Legend mouthed, just as Sky asked, “Hear them? You normally hear voices?”
Well, that was concerning. Legend thumbed his heart ring again, glancing around at the others. Warriors was still in that eerie way of his, and Wild looked strangely mournful. At least the Old Man seemed to be resting well.
“It’s not like that. I get… impressions. Influences,” Four answered timidly.
“The voices influence you?” Warriors asked, and ah—there it was. That tone he used when he was truly worried and trying not to show it. Legend wondered if any of the others recognized it for what it was yet. “How often does that happen?”
Four twitched, then smiled again. “I’m probably explaining this poorly. The voices are me. They’re normal.”
Wariness returned to Legend’s gut, and he could feel Hyrule slowly tensing. He had a feeling things were about to get worse.

fic ask meme
T: Any fanfic tropes you can’t stand?
I'm a big believer in the idea that there aren't bad tropes, just badly written takes on tropes. however I am also a big time hater and there are a few big no's for me in loz and lu fics. number one is deaged fic (not me writing cadence so there can be at least one longer mask fic free of that trope). number two is modern au's, or at least real-world, no-magic modern au's. modern with magic you can stay but you're on thin fucking ice. number three is kidfic. number four is a trope specific to loz fanworks, and that's "sheik as a separate person." don't even get me started on that one I won't be able to stop.
I don't dislike this trope, I mostly just haven't read it in forever, but I was a barista for 5 years and if a coffeeshop au gets terminology wrong I will notice and get miffed about it. also the character who's the barista needs to be experience an appropriate amount of suffering from their job.
V: Are there certain comments you’ve received on your stories that have stuck with you?
ooh this is a tough one because I really do treasure any feedback people leave. but basically any time someone points out a specific line I go ‼️ with excitement

H and R! :)
H: How would you describe your writing style?
Well, I have been told (by @needfantasticstories) that I have long sentences like Charles Dickens but not boring. So, uh, something like that. I was told by someone else that I write with a "dark Disney" style, with overexaggerated actions to convey emotion and intent, so hey. Fair. Something along those lines. I really like deep emotional and relational development in characters, so I tend to focus on that, but I'm told I am good at punchy action scenes as well. Idk I am not very good at self-evaluation, if any of my readers want to give me a more accurate description feel free to jump in on this post.
R: Which writers (fanfic or otherwise) do you consider the biggest influence on you and your writing?
So, it embarrasses me that *you're* the one asking me this XD because for fanfic writers, it's been Tashilover, Ort, and you (Gintrinsic) that influenced me the most to start writing in Linked Universe (ignore me fangirling over here please AAAAAA). I was also greatly influenced by DraconisWinters, who is no longer in this fandom ;(
Thank you so much for the ask! Sorry it took me a few days to respond, this week was packed.

@stunt-muppet thanks so much for the tag! I crossed off the completed chapters of the mer au since they don't have their own sub-folder yet. Gonna take a risk and say everything else is fair game even though I don't remember what's in all those docs lol.

I have... kinda forgotten which letters of writer ask you've done already, so QRS because its the most fun bit of the alphabet song to sing!
Q: Do you have any discarded scenes/storylines/projects?
It's sort of discarded but not, but I have a Fierce Dadity WIP that's been sitting on my computer for like two months. It's supposed to be a pure crack take on the headcanon, so full on Dad Mode and Link can hear the mask talking to him and stuff, but I haven't found a plot for it aside from "Link finds out the Fierce Deity mask is a Mother Hen and is adopted," which is simultaneously not enough and too much for me to write a oneshot about. I'm trying to work it out, it'll get there someday, I suppose. *shrugs*
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
I've been writing fanfiction for a long time. My style has just developed over the years, but big influences came from authors like James Luceno and Matthew Stover back when I was into reading a bunch of Star Wars books. More recently, fanfic authors like gintrinsic-writing (I am way too shy to tag this person lol), who has such an incredible mastery of descriptive writing, and @skyward-floored, who just nails characters and makes scenes so vibrant, are inspirations for me. :)
S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?
Found Family all the way LOL!

3 and 20! :)
Thank you for the ask!! <3 :3 ask game 3. Do you have any upcoming WIPs? How far along are you with them? Yes, I have some WIPs. ^^ I’m focusing on the next chapter of my BotW fic “Re-Domestication” right now, and it’s maybe 75% done. I’m also working on an addition to one of my one-shots...so it won’t be a one-shot anymore, lol. That’s maybe halfway finished. Beyond that, it’s hard to quantify anything. I tend to just write a bunch of unconnected scenes that maybe, eventually, will coalesce into a coherent fic. XD So I definitely have other things in progress. They’re just kinda nebulous right now, lol. 20. Which fic have you put the most work into? Which fic have you put the least work into? Hmm, I don’t know. I think I put a lot of work into all of them. XD Eh, probably “Fragments” or “Proving Grounds” were the most work, but I think they’re also my best work. “Uncivilized” took a lot of effort, too, because a) I spent way too long researching hair care products, lol, and b) I started it over 5 or 6 times because it just. Wasn’t. Working. That was a frustrating process, lol. As for least amount of work, maybe “Clouded” or “Homecoming.” The writing process for both of them went pretty smoothly. Plus, “Homecoming” is 400+ words, so that helps, lol. ^^

When you lose your sword... panic?
This idea was concocted from a conversation with @gintrinsic-writing and Just_Bonesy :)
CW: blood, gore, violence
Twilight is not the best fighter of the group by any means, that title goes to Sky or Warriors, or possibly Wild when he isn’t setting the battlefield on fire. It’s clear which of them have had professional training and who hasn’t; where Sky moves with precise elegance, Hyrule fights with almost desperate brawl. Where Warriors parrys and jabs with meticulously calculated technique, Legend’s style is rather a brutish scuffle. But while the professional soldiers of the group have the upper hand while fighting with swords, there are certain situations where those who have learned exclusively from their own wits and experience come out on top.
Take now, for example, as Twilight faces three lizalfos head on. His sword is in the ditch somewhere having flown out of his hand a few moments ago courtesy of an unsuspecting swipe from his blind spot, and he has no other weapons on him. The others aren’t in any position to be helping him, they have their own battles to fight; the waves of enemies are approaching fast.
The lizalfos on the right comes at him first, swinging sword glinting maliciously, and Twilight jumps into action, light and sturdy on his feet. He lets his adrenaline run wild and his most animalistic instincts kick in, and he lets out a snarl, baring his teeth in battle-fuelled rage. He doesn’t dodge backwards away from the first swipe, he lunges towards it seemingly heedlessly so that instead of being hit by the blade, he’s struck with the inside of the beast’s elbow. It stumbles slightly in surprise and Twilight uses the opening to grab its wrist and turn it forcefully clockwise, hearing a couple of bones in its hand crack. In his mid-battle high, they might as well be twigs snapping beneath his palms. It lets out a pig-like squeal but doesn’t drop its sword – Twilight is forcing its hand to keep its grip underneath his own.
It’s a struggle, but he manages to turn it enough that the wrist too snaps beneath its scaly skin and the sword plunges into its own stomach with a little added force. Twilight shoves it away with excessive strength and it falls to the ground, unmoving, dark red pooling beneath its body, congealing with the grit and mud in a viscous concoction of its own defeat. Twilight staggers slightly from the momentum of the push, his knuckle scraping painfully along the floor, and the next lizalfos takes the small opportunity to grab him in a steel headlock.
He doesn’t hesitate as he turns his head to the side with sudden force and uses his entire weight to pull on the arm that holds him. It gives way immediately, almost too easily, and he twists his body, the lizalfos hand with it, until he’s in a position to shove it to the ground alongside its companion. He finishes it off with five kicks to the head, the tiny, fragile bones of its face shattering beneath his worn, blood-splattered boot.
There’s one left now, weaponless, and Twilight can feel it’s hesitance, it’s eyes flickering to it’s fallen comrades with what Twilight would like to think of as nervousness. Good. A hesitant opponent means it’s more likely to make mistakes, more chance of openings for a kill. Still, there’s strange determination in its cold, reptilian eyes when it runs at full speed towards him, and it’s almost a shame that it lasts as little time as it does.
Twilight squats in preparation, and as it reaches him, claws outstretched in front of it, muscular tail poised for attack, he manages to grip it around the underside of its arm with one hand and the scraps of its tunic in the other, and then pulls with all his might. It goes flying over his shoulder with more momentum than Twilight had expected, and he feels its neck crack as it tumbles to the ground behind him.
He straightens up, eyes roving over each of his three enemies to confirm that they are indeed still motionless, and rubs the dust off his hands contentedly before turning around, coming face to face with Wind, a fierce look in his sea-blue eyes.
“Show me how to do that,” the sailor demands, the pointy end of his sword pointing straight at him. Twilight takes a step back, startled.
“What?” he asks. The others are coming to the end of their respective fights and seem not to have noticed the gruesome brawl that went down only seconds ago.
“That.” Wind waves the sword to the place the third dead Lizalfos lies, “The thing you did with the twirly arm where you threw that guy over your shoulder.”
“The one arm shoulder throw?” Twilight questions, parroting the name Rusl had taught him all those years ago when his mentor used to beat him every time they sparred.
“I don’t care what it’s called! Just show me!”
So he does, later, when they’ve set up camp and the others are doing their own thing elsewhere, either practicing their own fighting or foraging resources for their journey. Twilight has had experience teaching hand-to-hand combat to the children of Ordon – it’s strongly believed in the village that children should learn to fight as soon as they are able, and not everyone can afford swords – and he is pleased, but unsurprised, that Wind has the enthusiasm of all of the village children put together. He is also considerably more competent at listening and picking up the moves (again, not altogether surprising considering he defeated Ganon at the tender age of twelve) and he manages to learn a good few techniques in just a couple of hours.
“This is fun,” Wind grins, looking down at him as Twilight picks himself off the floor having just been taken down for the umpteenth time, on this occasion with a solid kick to the back of his left knee. Hylia help them all if Wind grows any bigger, who knew his skinny legs held such brute strength.
“Hey Captain!” Wind shouts to Warriors who is walking into the clearing carrying a stack of logs, an axe on his back, “you wanna spar? Twi taught me some new moves.”
“Sure, Sailor,” he replies, dropping the logs into a neat pile by their camp and swapping the axe for his sword, “don’t go too hard on me,” he grins good-naturedly, clearly not noticing the mischievous glint in Wind’s eyes. Wind picks up his own sword and they get into their respective stances, eyeing each other from across the small clearing. Wind waits for Warriors to swing first, at which point he tosses his sword to the ground beside him.
“Wait, wha-“ Warriors manages to get out mid-swing before Wind is careening towards him and grabbing his wrist in the way Twilight taught him. Twilight is proud to see he executes the move perfectly, twisting Warriors’ wrist towards him and immediately sending him to the ground, sword and all.
“Holy mother of FUCK!” Warriors shouts, clutching his wrist in obvious pain, his sword lying some few metres away. Twilight hopes Wind didn’t break anything.
“What next, Twi?” Wind asks cheerily as the captain rolls around at his feet.
“Now you kick him in the balls,” Twilight informs him.
“WAIT, NO! STOP, I SURRENDER!” Warriors pleads, and Twilight gives Wind a wink before going over to help Warriors up, grasping his good hand and pulling him to his feet.
“Where in Hylia’s name did you learn to fight like that?” Warriors asks him, clutching his wrist to his chest.
“Rusl taught me some of it,” he replies, “some I learned from just being on the road, and some of it’s stuff I learned from goat wrangling.”
The Captain considers him for a moment, clearly impressed.
“You think you could teach that to everyone?”
So that’s how Twilight finds himself standing in front of a scene that might be even more chaotic than when he was teaching Colin and his friends hand-to-hand. In his defence, he’s almost certain it’s not his teaching skills that are to blame; goat wrangling is nothing compared to herding these supposedly ‘respectable’ holders of the triforce of courage.
Wind successfully managed to take down Time before the lesson even started, and he now sits next to him, sheepishly holding some ice from Legend’s ice rod over the old man’s nose while the latter glares stonily into the distance. Behind them, Warriors has Legend in a headlock and Twilight almost chuckles at the distinctly rodent-like way Legend is trying to squirm out of it, punching every square inch of torso he can reach.
Four’s eyes flash blue-green as he gleefully pulls Sky down to his own height by the clump of hair he mercilessly has clenched in one fist, and Hyrule and Wild are hanging upside-down from a tree (though Twilight is pretty sure that has nothing to do with the lesson at hand).
All learned technique has gone out the window. Scratch that, it’s left the Goddessdamned kingdom. Though, Twilight supposes, that was kind of the point in the first place. Besides, Wind has fully mastered the one arm shoulder throw considering the way Time landed face first in the mud like a sack of potatoes not so long ago and Warriors has lost his usual stringency that so often prevents him from improvising in tight spots. All in all, they’re not doing too badly, and he fancies next time they find themselves up against an enemy without a weapon, they’ll be considerably more prepared. Rusl would be proud.

Time After Time for the morning after Legend and Ravio have their first time in that “first kiss” series. >3
Lollllllll. You know it's about to be Awkward. Based on this short fic (NSFW).
--
Legend wakes up feeling good. Mind still, body warm beneath the covers, limbs loose, throat and lips a little tender. He hesitates when Ravio shifts against him, then decides it's worth the risk of embarrassment to press closer and be soft in his affections. Ravio rewards this with similar softness.
There are sounds from the kitchen. The other heroes are clearly up and about. Legend feels uncertain all over again. He tries to think about the previous night; what was done, what was said, what might have been heard.
"We were quiet enough, right?" he asks, and Ravio doesn't hesitate to nod.
"Definitely."
Ravio chooses to remain in bed. "Just thirty more minutes," he pretends.
Legend gets up and washes up in the bathroom quickly. He makes sure his tunic hides the two hickies on his neck and chest. He thinks they're gross; he loves them.
The stairs creak faintly as Legend makes his way downstairs. Hyrule is the first to look up, the mild whites of his eyes like a traumatized animal's---and Legend knows, swiftly and without a doubt, that he's in serious trouble.
"No," he whispers, and it is Sky, of all people, who mutters (both groggily and crankily), "That's not what you said last night."
Breakfast is a horrible affair. Ravio does not make a showing.

Here, have 1,400 words of Majora's Mask angst. inspired by a conversation with @gintrinsic-writing about Link having to pick and choose who to help on the final cycle. I'll put this on my ao3 in a few days when I think of a title. (Edit: better ao3 version up now)
————————————————
On the afternoon of the final day, the Milk Bar is empty.
Madame Aroma won’t arrive for another few hours. In twenty minutes, one of the members of the town guard will show up, but he won’t stay long. He’ll order one of the special drinks that Mister Barten won’t let Link try, chug it all in one big gulp, and then lay his head down on the counter to weep quietly for four and a half minutes. When he’s finished crying, he’ll ask for a shot of something off the top shelf—surprise him, just this once. Then, after his last drink, he’ll shake Mister Barten’s hand, put his helmet back on, and leave.
Unlike some of the other guards, he won’t abandon his post. When the moon falls and swallows the world, he’ll bear witness to the end from his station at the town entrance.
Right now, it’s just Link and Tatl at the counter. Mister Barten is sweeping up on the stage, and he’s got the phonograph playing some soft piano music instead of the usual Indigo-Go’s songs, which Link is grateful for. Mister Barten isn’t as talkative as he usually is, but Link hasn’t been able to figure out if it’s because it’s the final day or if it’s because Link won’t talk himself. Either way, it’s quiet. The nice kind of quiet too, unlike the Stock Pot Inn, which gets creepy after Anju and her family evacuate. Even with everyone gone, the floorboards don’t stop creaking.
It’s a good place for thinking and planning. That’s the most important thing left for him to do.
Or at least, that’s what Link thinks. Tatl has other ideas.
“Are you going to squeeze in an afternoon nap or what?” She buzzes around him like an insect. Link’s adrenaline from the battle against Twinmold had worn off by the time they got back to Clock Town, but Tatl always takes longer to settle after a fight. She lands on the counter to take a small sip of her Chateau Romani, kindly poured into the smallest shot glass in the bar by Mister Barten, and then flies a few more laps around his head. “If you don’t go to bed soon, you won’t be rested before the reset, and I know you’ll stay up with Romani instead of sleeping the next night. I don’t want to be rescuing my brother while you’re in one of your moods.”
Link waves a hand out to get her to stop circling. He gives her a pointed look and then taps the end of his pencil against his open bomber's notebook twice. It’s a portion of his records of the first day, near illegible now with how much information he’s crammed onto the pages. That’s why he’s got a few clean sheets of paper ripped out and put to the side. If this is really the final reset, he can’t afford to waste time with indecision.
“Huh?” Tatl says. She floats over the notebook to examine it, washing out the pages in her golden light. She flutters and makes an annoyed chiming noise. “What are you getting at now? There can’t be anything else to add on here. You’ve stalked everyone in Termina long enough already.”
Link shakes his head and holds out his hand. Tatl lands on his palm, her magic tickling at his skin like the sparks from a light arrow, and he lifts her up to his shoulder. His posture relaxes as soon as she sits, the warm buzz of her magic trickling down through his chest and back. An ache he hadn’t noticed in his upper back disappears. It still feels a little weird sometimes, having her nestled in the crook of his neck. The first time her wing had brushed against his neck, he’d almost hit her on reflex, and she didn’t talk to him for the whole day after. Navi had always preferred to perch on top of his head.
On one of the clean pages, Link lists out all the hours, from six o’clock to five o’clock the next morning. He repeats this for the next page. For the last one, he adds an extra hour at the end and draws the moon and its hungry maw.  Next, he circles Romani’s name in his notebook. On his new timetable, he writes her name between the hours of two and five in the morning.
He knows that Tatl understands because he feels her go still, then huddle closer to him. Still, he flips through the notes he’s taken, over two dozen pages, for emphasis. Some of his notes are about the temples—he hadn’t made it through the Snowhead or Great Bay temples on his first attempts—but even excluding those, there’s too much.
Tatl doesn’t speak. In his notebook, Link sees Pamela’s name, and he circles it like he’d done for Romani. When he looks at his timetable though, he pauses. He and Tatl have restored the flow of the Ikana creek and healed Pamela’s father three times: once very late into the night of the second day, once in the morning of the first day, and once more in the evening of the first day. From what Link can tell, Pamela doesn’t sleep well when her father is cursed, and that means Link can free her father at any time.
Pamela needs her father. He knows that, even if he doesn’t fully understand it. She’s young and scared and alone, and Link shouldn’t make her wait. When he looks at the blank time slots of the first day though, all he can see is dozens of other things he needs to do. If he’s going to reunite Anju and Kafei, he needs to spend the afternoon in Clock Town so can talk to Anju. And while he’s in town, it only makes sense for him to help the Great Fairy and go solve the argument in the mayor’s office. He should free at least one of the Giants on that first day too—he can make his way through the temples pretty quickly now, but he couldn’t rush the battles against the beasts holding the Giants captive. Potions and fairies don't work as well when he doesn't sleep. He’d learned the hard way that one little mistake in those battles could take him hours to recuperate from.
His hand holding the pencil is frozen above the paper. Link stares at the blank pages.
He feels Tatl release a tiny, quivering breath. Her wings flicker against him a few times as she leans forward. “Okay. We’re not going back to the Stone Tower on the first day. I need a break from that horrible place, and you need to get at least some sleep before going there again. You can take a nap in Romani’s bed, or in Epona’s stall since you’re a little freak, after we defend the ranch. We’ll go to Ikana and free Pamela’s dad and the Giant afterwards. Got it?”
Link nods and picks up the pencil. He gives himself two hours to sleep, then blocks off the rest of the morning for fixing Ikana. Tatl lets out a little ringing noise in approval, then says, “So, we’re going through the whole ordeal of getting Anju and Kafei back together, right?” He nods again. “Okay, then write Anju’s name in the two and eleven thirty times slots.” He does. “We need to go to the ranch and talk to Romani at some point during the day. Let’s do that at five so we can stay for dinner. We can go to the cucoo shack before eating too. Helping Grog always makes you smile.”
Link puts down the pencil. Before Tatl can scold him, he brings his hand up to where she's perched, and he closes his eyes and presses her closer against him. Tatl shifts a bit, and then she wraps both her small arms around his hand. He trembles, and she doesn’t say anything.
She lets him hold her like that for a minute before she starts pushing him away. “Move your hand, would ya? I can’t read anything like this.”
Link pulls away from her and picks up the pencil again. Tatl pats his shoulder. It feels like raindrops. “Okay, let’s finish filling in the first day. You ready?”
When Link nods, it's the truth.
“Good. We’ve got this.”
Link believes her.

Time stamp prompt thing! Like 2 hours after Time finds Legend smoking weed (or however long it takes Legend to finish and come back)
The short story referenced.
I'd give it 20-30 minutes or so? More than long enough to smoke then simply sit and enjoy some solitude for a bit, otherwise the others might grow concerned about eventual monster activity.
Legend returns, and by then the twilight hour does enough to mask the little bit of redness in his eyes. He's got just enough of a tolerance level to play things normal (though Warriors and Twilight would love coaxing some goofiness from him given the first discreet opportunity). He nods to Hyrule, who notices his return immediately, then eyes Wild's cooking pot with some interest.
Time watches and finds himself wondering about all the instances in which Legend's appetite has been bigger/healthier than usual. Legend's a thin teenager. Time figures this may be another beneficial side effect. He doesn't comment on any of it, doesn't want Legend--who is already prone to self-consciousness, even if it takes the form of waspish comebacks sometimes--to feel like he should've done more to hide the truth from him. He understands the desire to keep secrets, but he also wishes these younger heroes would confide in each other more. He tries not to feel like a hypocrite about that.
Legend calls it an early night, after dinner. He offers to take third watch--Warriors finds a way to claim the shift in a way that feels morel like a teasing joke than any real considerateness--then heats some warm rags by the fire to massage his knees and calves. While the others continue to talk, he falls asleep.
Time quietly asks, "How long?"
And Warriors shrugs and replies, "Half the night, if he's lucky."

I'm very curious about evil!Warriors 👀
So this is one I had a ton of inspiration for, then got stuck on halfway through, then gave up on when the inspiration-dopamine died haha. I originally posted the first part to ao3 telling myself I could be okay with posting an incomplete work, but that ended up driving me crazy so I took it down. I’ll repost if I ever finish it!
Simply put, Warriors is tired of the blame for the war, no real support system—so he figures, why not do all the things they accuse me of? He pretends to still be the Hero, but in actuality he’s sleeping with Cia and playing both sides. He actually values and appreciates that Cia is so into him. When the other heroes show up, he plans to spy on them as a double agent—and if deemed necessary, kill them to keep the only good things he has going for him in life.
Snippet below:
Hyrule thought he felt a breeze, but the grass never stirred, and the motes dancing in the light never faltered. The fairy, though, paused in her weaving, and that was enough to make Hyrule tense.
“A chill?” he murmured, eyes darting across the dense canopy above. The forest remained quiet, content with its roots and its many children. Hyrule turned in a circle, careful not to dislodge his new friend, and startled when he found Warriors watching them from the shadows of the grove’s entrance. “Din! Wars, you shouldn’t just…” He rubbed his forehead and laughed awkwardly despite the way his heart felt somewhere in his throat. “Make a sound or something next time.”
Warriors shrugged. “I’m here to inform you that breakfast is nearly ready.”
Time dropped his hand from his sword pommel seconds too late to be casual. From the cautious flicker of Warriors’ cold blue eyes, it was clear he’d noticed. “How long have you been here?” Time asked.
“I just walked up.”
Hyrule wondered why it felt like a lie.

A and T for the fanfic asks, please?
A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?
Tbh this is difficult! I feel like my feelings toward my writing often change. This morning… let’s say Roots!
T: Any fanfic tropes you can’t stand?
There is nothing that will make me scroll past faster than a HP AU. I’m also not a fan of most modern AUs simply because the magic/lore/fantasy of the original story is half the fun! And although I like fluff when it’s sprinkled into fics, I rarely like stories that are primarily fluff just for the sake of it.
