Why does Red from Descendants look like Mevie’s daughter😩👀👀 now I need a fic where Red is Mal & Evie’s daughter from the future who travels back in time to prevent something bad from happening to Evie but she travels too far back and lands in the timeline where Mal is still with Ben and hasn’t confronted her feelings for Evie while Evie pines for Mal. Red then has to team who with Mal and Uma (who becomes one of E’s best friends because she helps her deal with her feelings for Mal) to prevent Evie from being in danger by the new Evie in the future while also helping Mal realize her feelings for Evie. Ugh I wish I was a decent writer so I can write this fic😭😭

Summary: Uma and Gil were the only people in the world that he'd shown any part of himself that could be considered weak, because on the Isle, showing that side of yourself to people you couldn't trust meant a knife in the heart. So really, it makes sense that they'd be the only ones to see this odd flustered side of him. With the way they kiss him and praise him and make him giggle till he's red in the face, it's no wonder.

Until the barrier came down, and all of Audrey's prejudice with it.

Harry realizes he's in love with Audrey Rose and has no idea what to do about it.

Part 1

Guilt eats him alive, the same way rage bubbles up in his chest when he thinks about her and this whole situation. Here he's got two wonderful people who, for as long as he can remember, were the only people he could really rely on, could really love. And here he sits, still wanting more.

Because suddenly Audrey took his hand in the midst of festive music and smiled at him like he wasn't just a Mad Hook boy. She twirled around him and threw her head back with even the worst of his pick up lines. Her eyes shun with wonder when he pulled out his hook, even when the others around him flinched back, like he was readying himself for battle. He wanted to hate her, if only to get that familiar flutter out of his chest whenever she so much as glances at him. But she makes it impossible, with her windswept hair and her radiant smile. He despises the way it makes him act like such a fool.

He's Harry Hook, feared son of the Neverland captain himself, he's not supposed to trip over himself when he sees a pretty girl. And still he barely stutters out what he can manage whenever she greets him. He's never felt so incompetent. Even in the days he was desperate to prove himself to Uma, even when they realized Gil was meant to be theirs, he had been sturdy. His charms were still vibrant, and even with the manic Hook blood inside of him, he never made a mistake.

But now Audrey has squirmed her way inside his chest and inbetween his ribcage, right into the creases of his heart, and he doesn't know what to do with that.

Until the barrier came down, and all of Audrey's prejudice with it. She had smiled at him, kind and genuine. No expectations of 'Isle Kid Hook' or 'Monster Villain Kid.' Just a simple smile.

He hasn't been able to stop thinking about her since. It drives him mad.

So the guilt eats him alive, and whenever he kisses Uma, whenever Gil clings to him, he feels like he's betraying them.

So he hides it, tucks it away deep inside and hopes it will just—

Go away.

"You're not subtle." Says Uma, legs laid out over Harry's, back against the armrest of their new Auradon couch. "You've been avoiding her like the plague."

She nods to Audrey, sitting on the floor with Gil, showing him what a puzzle is supposed to look like when they actually have all the pieces together. They're laughing and grinning at each other like they're having the time of their lives, far enough away that they can't hear Uma's low voice. Harry very nearly tenses up.

"Maybe I just can't stand the lass." He says instead, not bothering to look away from Audrey. Uma can't help but scoff.

"Right, that's why you can barely speak when she's around."

Harry goes red in the face, hoping that it's not noticeable to anybody but him. "Yer Crazy." He says, barely shifting his eyes to say it.

"Oh I'm crazy." Uma raises an eyebrow and pushes herself off the armrest of the couch, he finally looks at her, "Is that coming from a Hook of all people?" Shes got a smirk plastered on her face, a challenge she's hoping he'll take the bait for. And he almost does, ready for a shift in conversation so they can go back to pretending he's not madly in love with an Auradon girl.

Oh gods he's in love with her.

Uma doesn't let him bite, she reels back just as calmly as she had leaned out before he can even open his mouth, "You like her."

And sure maybe it's an understatement, compared to the earth shattering realization he's just had in his own head, but it makes him freeze nonetheless. He goes pale and rigid, color draining from his face as quickly as it had rose.

He flounders, not entirely sure what that look Uma's giving him means. His jaw clenches, even as he's working it up and down trying to gather together a string of words to defend himself.

I'd never do that to you, he wants to say, because he desperately wishes it were true. But he's never been able to lie to Uma, and he thinks her dissapointment would be much worse then any rage she might be harboring.

So it startles him when she starts laughing. Giggling at first, like she had caught him with his hook in a cookie jar, then throwing her head back and clutching at her stomach. Maybe she was going crazy, he thinks, catching the way Audrey and Gil look up at them from their puzzle.

It's not necessarily unusual, the three of them have always been a little mad, some more then others. So when Gil pats at Audrey's arm, gathering her focus back on the puzzle in front of them, showing her exactly how usual this is, it's like nothings happened at all. He can't help but be a little relieved.

Uma's laughter has melted down, back into a fit of giggles. She grins at him, all Cheshire-like. Like she can see all the little cogs turning inside his head. Still, she doesn't say anything, waiting for him to make the first move.

Waiting for him to admit something.

Harry gives up on trying to defend himself, looks away from her and swallows. He watches the pristine white of the floor instead, the way his old Isle boots scuff it so easily. "If you knew," He starts. "why did you invite her?"

Uma gives a disbelieving laugh, "What?"

He turns to her, looking almost worried, almost scared. Entirely too vulnerable. "If you knew, why did you bring her here?"

Uma searches his face, eyebrows scrunched together. He half expects her to tell him to choose. Her or us. You can't have both Harry. He tenses up, ready for any sort of outburst she might have. Ready for her anger and her rage.

"Harry," She says, "You know you can date her, right?"

He freezes, like he's misheard her. He'd gone over this a million times in his head, ready for any compromise she'd bring, ready for any argument and any possible break up. Never had he actually considered her being ok with this.

"I'm uhm—" he swallows, "Wh-what?"

Uma tilts her head, brows furrowed even more, "Did you think we'd suddenly stop loving you just because you've got a crush?"

It's so much more then that, he thinks, but right now he's focusing on working out a response that isn't Yes! That's exactly what I thought! How was I supposed to know I wasn't an awful boyfriend?

He settles instead on, "Um."

"By gods Harry!" Uma sags, she looks shocked, "You're not the only one fond of her. Haven't you noticed?" She waves over to Gil, and for the first time, Harry notices the blush high on his cheeks. Gil looks at Audrey the way he looks at Uma, with awe and wonder and maybe a little bit of obsession. He looks at her like she's hung the moon and the stars all on her own. How had he never noticed that before?

"You really didn't know." Says Uma, watching the realization fall over him. "Harry I've been ogling her since she stole you away to dance. Right after the Barrier fell." She looks defeated, unable to believe he would be so oblivious. "Harry Hook you cannot be this blind. That was months ago."

"I just— I figured ya wanted me fer yourself!" He whisper-yells. It sounds a little silly now that he says it out loud, emphasized by the way his accent thickens in his fluster. They were possessive of each other that was a given, but they had never said others were off limits, not entirely. If you felt a spark, a real one, you could be with them. That was their rule.

"Harry Hook. You are an idiot." Uma deadpans, but even as she criticizes him, her eyes are fond. She glances at Audrey and Gil, and nods over to their puzzle. "Look, they're finishing up." She fixes a look on Harry smirking and winking for good measure. "Go ask her out for us darling."

Summary; this is part of a revised series I did awhile back for my 'Twist in their tales' ouat and descendants crossover set in the heroes and villains verse. There will be more in the future. Here is Part one.

Bandit Evie! Daughter of Bandit Regina from the heroes and villains verse. Master of archery, sewing, disguise, and sneaking around, she is easily able to escape from evil Snow white and her evil prince Charming. And her minions, the 7 dwarves and their children. Secret forbidden love of Doug Dwarfson.

Bard and Physican Doug! Son of one of Snow White's minions, Dopey, and a disgraced Princess named Elena. Master of potions, healing, science, and music-- he's too useful for Queen Snow to get rid of. As well as cunning enough to use it to his advantage.

Their love story is dangerous and forbidden, but they couldn't care less. This is the story of the bandit and the bard, rewritten by the author known as Isaac when he swapped the roles of the heroes and villians.

Evil Princess Audrey! Granddaughter of the cruel, two faced, and ruthless Queen Leah. Trapped away in the castle tower until the day of her arranged marriage to Prince Charming jr (Chad). She never met her parents and has left her tower few times in her life. Because of this she's ruthless and resentful towards her grandmother and dreams of escaping and meeting her real true love and finding her parents.. She helps Chad and Gil sneak around and falls for the co leader of the rebellion, Harry Hook. Turns evil for a brief spell to get her revenge against the kingdoms that did her wrong-- I.e her own and Queen Snow's.

Prince Chad! Son of the alternate reality (evil) Queen Snow white and her dark prince charming, he was kept locked away in the castle with little to no freedom has taught him to be sneaky and resourceful. He resents his parents for the life they have given him and for the arranged marriage they've set up for him through force. He does not wish to marry his best friend, Audrey, but has no choice in the matter. He's much rather marry the pub owner's son, Gil, but his parents disapprove of the union because they think Gil is beneath him so he has to settle for sneaking around with him and hoping that his evil parents won't find out. He ends up being Audrey's accomplish when she's seeking her revenge before teaming up with Ben and the others to break the curse.

Chaudrey's arranged marriage is approaching in the alternate reality and to prevent it, they team up to get revenge on those who have wronged them. Will the curse break before they get their vengeance? Will they be able to get with their real true loves in time? Will the reality fall apart before things get awkward? Or will they end up hurting those they love most? Stay tuned.

Hunter/Nobel Gil! Son of the noble war hero and hunter Gaston LeGume and one of the 3 bimbettes, he's been a noble lad since birth. He's a big hearted hunter who helps his dad run his tavern and mostly stays out of trouble while dreaming of something bigger. A life with Chad or a life with his little pirate friends who are the leaders of the rebellion against his true love's parents and Queen Leah. He's hopeful that somehow, someway, that some day he could have both.

Chil's forbidden romance that is breath-taking and liberating. Will they get their happy ending? Will they survive? Or will they break apart before the curse is broken?

Note

For the Descendants kids with horrible and trashy names, how would you name them? From books and movies.

So I'll just go ahead and give how I changed each name for My Canon Descendants AU, to make them feel more like their own character/fit better with the og movies time periods/cultures. I didn't give them all unique names as the point of the project was to translate the Descendants kids into the actual movies, not make full OCs, (though I did end up making a few of those anyway xD) but I tried to at least adjust them.

Mal--Mallow (to go with the Nature name theme the Three Good Fairies had going on with their own names/Briar Rose)

Audrey I kept as it was actually a Medieval name!

Evie-- Eva, it's a pretty easy fix to more period accurate/Germanic sounding

Doug -- Doleful, to fit better with the Dwarfs Attribute names, plus he seemed kinda down in the first movie so the meaning felt like it fit

Carlos I kept because honestly I felt like it could fit in universe if Cruella's husband was a Spanish man, which he conceivabley could be

Jay--Jaamil, and no not because of Twisted Wonderland that just happened by accident xD

They orginally had Aladdin's deleted sin be named Aziz but there was already an Aladdin character named that in the TV show who was a villain so I changed it to Ahmed, like one of the other Arabian Nights heroes

Ben--I changed from Benjamin to Benedict as that was more French/period appropriate

Honestly I could 100% see Gaston naming his sons after himself so I kept Gastons 1 and 2 but I changed Gil to Gilbert (French pronunciation of course)

Lonnie...oh Lonnie. I changed her name to Chi, as with her patronymic of Li she would be Li Chi, which sounded similar to Lonnie but would actually be Chinese and is the name of a girl in a Chinese legend who slays a dragon, which was what I based her hypothetical movie plot on

Chad I changed to Charles, easy enough. Much more elegant and formal

Jane I just changed to Janet to make it a little fancier/Frenchier as well xD

Dizzy I changed to Daisy (though I suppose since she's French based, it really should be Marguerite...eh Daisy can be the nickname)

Uma I kept cuz honestly its a good name and her song is a banger 👌

Harry is fine, good pirate name, short for Henry, which also works. Harriet was fine too, just made her and Harry twins and made CJ go by her first name only of Calista.

Honestly with a pirate dad named Smee Squeeky and Squirmy also work, though they're definitely nicknames.

Celia works fine, it fits with the time/culture of 1920s New Orleans, though I did change Freddie to Frederique.

Getting into some book characters now:

Artie I changed to Amhar, a lesser known son of Arthur (could have done Mordred but as the kid was meant to be heroic I decided to go with Amhar, plus it started with A x)

Mad Maddy honestly isn't a bad name, but I did change it to Matilda to be a bit more Medieval sounding, plus linked her to Matilda of the Night, a Medieval witch legend.

(And apparently there's gonna be a son of Morgana Le Fay in the new movie named... Morgie. My gosh. Well we'll change that right back to Yvain. Her actual son, no she's not Mordred's mother no matter what the movies try to tell you she's his aunt and I will die on this pedantic hill)

Hadie I instantly changed to Zagreus. He's the literal son of Hades and goodness its such a better name. Same with changing Herkie to Hyllus. Also an actual son of Hercules and doesn't sound like a euphemism for throwing up.

Allie I changed to Mary Jean after the Real Alice's grandaughter, and when I made my Queen of Hearts Kid D4 hadn't been announced yet so I named her Aceline (a pun on Ace of Hearts)

Ruby and Anxelin weren't terrible names so I kept them, just made Anxelin a Dark Kingdom name xD (and apparently they're giving Rapunzel a third daughter in the new movie? Her name is just Zellie though...so I think I'll just keep these two. Zellie could definitely work as being short for Anxelin and hey, Rapunzel had twins in the actual fairytale so two just works)

Wrapping it up:

Claudine isnt too bad and fits the time period but I changed her parent from Frollo to his brother Jehan cuz that man should never ever get to be with any woman.

Clay Clayton I changed to Cecil after the actual Clayton character in the books who wasn't that bad of a guy.

Yzla works fine as a name for Yzma's daughter. I just changed Zevon to Yzon to match better and not sound so much like he escaped the 23rd century

Ginny Gothel I just lengthened out to Ginevra to sound more fantastical

I didn't actually do anything for Pocahontas as it always kinda controversial to touch. But if I did I'd of course just make her descendant her actual son Thomas Rolfe and apparently they gave Ratcliffe a son named Rick? So...we'll change his name to Richard or--well one sec let me see if Actual Historical Governor Ratcliffe had any kids.

OK! Looks like he didn't but he did die horribly. My Gosh.

Gil to Audrey "this Christmas is special because I'm with you Audrey"

************************************************************************ Christmas was the favorite holiday of Gaston's youngest son. Gil loved it because it reminded him of his mother, Agatha also known as the enchatress (the one who turned King Adam into the beast), Gil remembers how she was celebrated, her dad and her, before they were sent to the island and separated, once the barrier was knocked down, Gil, her dad and her older brothers met with her. But just that year, Gil was celebrating with someone else. His girlfriend, Princess Audrey and his family.

************************************************************************ Gil and Audrey's families were extremely surprised when Gil and Audrey revealed their courtship, Audrey's grandmother. Leah, I wasn't happy at all but I tolerate it only at the request of Aurora and Felipe who were happy with all their heart for Gil's relationship with Audrey. While Gil's family was happy, happy for them.

*********************************************************************** Gil was standing in the window of his bedroom in Auradon Prep, looking at Harry and Uma having a snowball fight. To tell the truth, Gil has never seen snow before. In the six months he has been in Auradon, this is the first time it has snowed. He was taken out of his thoughts when he heard the voice he liked to hear the most in his life.

"Hey, Gil, ¿what's up, love?"

Audrey asked as she approached him until she hugged him from behind.

"I was just looking at the snow outside. ¿What about you?"

Gil responded by going back to the window. But also hugging her.

"¿I was coming to ask you if you want to come with me to Auroria for the holidays?"

"¿Does your parents and your grandmother agree with that?"

"They were the ones who suggested it... and my grandmother, well, you know. ..."

"Okay, then of course. When are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow, so you should probably start packing."

"Well then."

"I will help you."

Once Audrey finished helping him pack, an idea came to her mind.

"Hey, ¿do you want to have a snowball fight?"

"¿What?"

"A snowball fight. Come on, put on a jacket and I'll show you"

After putting on their jackets, they went out and with the very kind and grateful help of Harry and Uma, Gil finally understood the concept of a snowball fight. Needless to say, they spent most of the day outside in the snow. The next day... Gil and Audrey were in the limousine on their way to their parents' castle in Auroria when Audrey decided to start a conversation.

"Have you ever celebrated Christmas on the Island?. I remember that Harry and Uma were the only ones of the V.K. who seemed to have known something about Christmas"

"That's because only some of the families on the Island celebrated a non-Hallowen holiday. Mal, Jay and Evie and many V.K. celebrated Christmas, while I, my brothers and my father, Carlos, the Facilliers, CJ, Harry, Uma, Harriet and her father celebrated Christmas and other holidays. But obviously not to the extent that you do it here in Auradon"

"Oh. Well, then we should definitely go to the Christmas Fair and turn on the lights"

"Yep. That sounds great Audrey"

About four hours later, the bright black limousine finally stopped at the snow-covered doors of the castle where Aurora, Felipe and Leah were waiting for them wrapped in warm winter clothes. Once they got out of the limousine, the three of them hugged them quickly. Neither Gil nor Audrey were not very surprised when they received a hug from Aurora and Felipe, but both as well as Aurora and Felice were quite surprised when Audrey's grandmother. Leah hugged Gil so openly. Overcoming their commotions, they followed the others inside the castle.

"¿Hey, are you ready to go to the fair?"

Felipe asked as he entered Audrey's room while showing Gil an old family photo album.

"Yes, we are, dad"

Audrey responded as they got up, they both put on their coats and hats before following him and Aurora to the garage of the castle. Although they could have taken the limousine, Felipe chose to drive his red Range Rover SUV instead. In ten minutes they arrived at the fair, and Gil looked around in astonishment. Everything was so beautifully decorated, there were a lot of happy and energetic children running around, and a large choir sang Christmas carols.

"¿Why don't we go ice skating?"

Audrey suggested when she approached the track.

"Normally we go every year anyway."

"¿What is ice skating?"

Gil asked confused.

"You'll see"

Aurora responded while Audrey drove him to the track.

"I think you'll enjoy it"

And it ended up turning out that Gil is a natural ice skater, something that Felipe was extremely jealous of since he could barely last four seconds on the ice without softening his ass and that's a lot to say debitor has been trying for years. Because of this, Leah, he and Aurora chose to stay on the side railing and see Gil and Audrey laugh and smile adorably. One of the most beautiful moments was when Gil picked up Audrey and turned her around, and just as he was taking her down, they shared an adorable kiss. Of course, neither of them noticed that Aurora was taking pictures with her camera from the side line. After ice skating, they decided to try the bumper cars and, of course, you can imagine how much fun they had with them. Then they tried the cups of tea, and fortunately for Felipe, he managed to avoid getting sick for the third year in a row. Then they went to the games and, of course, Gil made sure to win a prize for Audrey (it's the typical thing the boyfriend should do). He was won by a red panda teddy bear that had a bright red Christmas scarf by shooting the eight cans with a nerf gun. Of course, Aurora only had to secretly capture the moment when Gil gave the prize to Audrey. After a few more hours of going around and doing different activities, including gingerbread frosting, it was finally time for the Christmas lights to turn on, a show that Gil had not yet seen.

"¡THREE! ¡TWO! ¡ONE!"

Everyone shouted as all the lights of different colors turned on creating a beautiful variety of colors that bordered the streets of the city.

"¡HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

They shouted and then a lot of artificial fires illuminated and sky. After enjoying some hot chocolate at a local cafe, Audrey was practically asleep, so Gil took her in his princess-style back to the car. Another moment, that Aurora only had to take a picture. Once they returned to the castle, Gil took Audrey back to her room and put her in bed, and just as she was about to leave, she grabbed his hand

"Gil, Stay... with me"

She murmured half asleep. Gil did what he told her, and went to bed with her, to which Audrey immediately curled up next to her and fell asleep with Gil shortly after. Aurora and Felipe, who had come to see them, found them sleeping peacefully, so Felipe turned off the light and Aurora closed the door with a smile on her face, knowing that she would be happy to look back at the photos they took that day.
