A faint sound was coming from Egon's home workshop; amongst the clanking produced by his work there was a noticable hum that almost sounded like... Music?

As (reader) approached it became more clear, an up-beat tune accompanied by the humming and occasional low effort singing of an old man focused on his task.

His attention was pulled from the busted trap in his hands when he heard them enter, eliciting a weak smile from him as he reached to turn the radio off.

"Hello. There's an extra stool there, if you can find it under those papers."

The man had been pacing, he wasn't much of a pacing type, but the time called for it. Ray was on edge since the shop was fully set on his shoulders. Winston had bailed not long after the opening, Venkman was in his little world, and Egon was trying to focus on better equipment for their 'real' job. That left the only one of the four to try and keep moving forward, even if none of the others wanted to believe him.

Ray wanted the shop to work to help them in their downtimes. Downtimes that were coming more and more as they worked catching what ghosts seemed to linger around the city.

"I give it another hour, and I'm calling it!"

It had been five hours since he opened, and nothing. He'd put away everything that had come in from the last order he made. Yet no one he called was showing for pick up. "They had their chance, and Egon said I needed to be back at the shop by six," Stantz tells himself as if it makes the situation better. Skimming the spines of books he was in front of to try and find something to take with him back to the firehouse.
