Galra Headcanon
- Galra are all intersex (if you want ABO moment then feel free to change it) and the genes for this is dominant so it shows up even in half galra
- the smaller the Galra the more fertile (took this idea from magic wielding Jotunn)
- Keith is very very tiny according to the bom
- when lotor first met Keith he immediately started attempting to court him
—— this is NOT bc love at first sight but rather bc he wants strong, pretty, quintessence-sensitive heirs (so he also tried to discretely court Allura at the same time. PS he got decked twice.)

Heyyy can you please do Keith Kogane x a reader who is a space princess?? I love your work btw!!
Keith Falls for a Space Princess Headcanons
Tumblr media
Thank you so much, I’m so happy you enjoy my writing!!! I hope you don’t mind that I did headcanons💔 I found this so cute bro I CANT 😭
Also I got another request similar to this one so I’ll debate if I’ll write a different scenario or not!!
Tumblr media
Keith’s first impression of you wasn’t anything too extraordinary
Lowkey believed that you would just be another person they rescued from the Galra💀
But once finding out that you were a space princess like Allura, coming from a long line of ancient alchemists and sorcerers, it really peaks his interests
Depending on if you meet before he finds out he’s part Galra or after, that’ll start off the relationship
If we’re talking before, it would be a relatively chill introduction
Being a space princess often gathers you a lot of recognition but Keith captures your attention because of his lack of interest
While you’re used to many treating you with high respect, Keith just treats you normally, with the same tough attitude he has with everyone!
He basically treats you like a normal person, something you haven't felt in a loonnngg time💔
But if it's after he finds out he's part Galra and reveals it, then things would be REALLY tense, on your end at least...
The Galra have made you and countless others suffer for centuries, so knowing one of the paladins of Voltron, who are working to rid of the Galra Empire, is galran himself 😶
Yeah you're especially tense around Keith, untrusting toward him which bothers him for some reason
BUT MOVING ON
Of course, your own curiosity toward the boy ultimately leads you to spending more time with him
At first, he might find your lingering presence somewhat annoying since he isn't used to someone giving him all this extra attention
Always asking him questions during his training, sticking with him when out on missions
At one point, Keith gets used to your presence, a sense of normalcy falling between the two of you quickly as the weeks pass quickly
He opens himself up to you slowly, giving pieces of himself and his life to you while you do the same :D
He'll give you slivers of what his life was like on Earth while you share your own stories of life on your planet
He learns more about your culture, your duties as a princess, and even the history of your ancestors (something which you take pride in)
Because of the amount of time spent together, you guys grow close with every new mission and planet Voltron visits
And with this, this means that Keith begins to grow kinda protective of you?
LIKE LISTEN
He starts caring for you as time passes and he doesn't know exactly when things have been changing between the two of you??
He doesn't know when he began staring at you more often, he doesn't know when he began anticipating your arrival every morning, and he ESPECIALLY doesn't know when his heart began fluttering at the mere sight of you
Maybe it was the elegance that seemed to permanently stick to you after years of being in a royal court
Or maybe it was your constant nagging whenever he was around, sneaking past the walls he built around his heart
Or perhaps it was the caring hand you placed on his shoulder whenever his emotions got the best of him
He would totally go to Coran about possibly courting you because why not LMAO
Coran knows how princesses are supposed to be courted (hopefully), Keith just wants to impress you the best he can and fully believes only Coran holds the secret
So you’re just witnessing him falling over his own feet trying to approach you with uptight mannerisms while Coran watches his every move from afar
“For you my, uh, lady?” *holds out flower*
Cue Coran whispering loudly, “Good, good!”
Despite how endearing it is to see Keith try and keep up with the traditional courting, you have to reassure him that you don’t mind that he isn’t apart some royal family (he’s lowkey insecure that you might prefer someone with a similar background as you)💔💔
You like him for him, not caring for his status at all
With that, you both have a good flowing relationship, his intense personality softening with your own pleasant personality
He learns to control his emotions because of you while you learn to show more of your own because of him!!
You also show him the sort of sorcery you’re able to do, having learned from a young age to harness the power that resided into, which he finds SUPER cool and kinda confusing
He’s trying his best to understand😔
He still sometimes feels like he isn’t enough for you though so please PLEASE make sure to tell him other wise😭🙏🙏🙏
He holds you in a high regard because of your status as a princess, he makes sure to tell anyone he comes across that so they treat with respect😭😭
You’re lowkey embarrassed when he begins bragging about your heritage like bro stop😭
Yeah despite this, he still manages to not associate you with only being a space princess, but an honorary member of Voltron
He’s super soft for you I can’t😭😭

The first time Lance defends him, he’s shocked.
He’s not actually sure it’s the first time, actually. Lance is so practiced. The words come so easily. He’s silver-tongued and ruthless, systematic in the way he shuts the man down, proud and prideful in the set of his shoulders.
“But he’s Galra,” the man hisses, snarl twisting his features, fists clenched around Lance’s right hand and the fabric of his jacket, locked in a dance. Neither of them have noticed Keith, at the edge of the ballroom, half-hidden in the balcony, gaping.
“The Galran Empire is a plague that has monopolized three quarters of the universe,” Lance replies, steely. “If you think the billions of children it has sired and abandoned are the enemy, then you are a fool.”
“Those children carry that violence in their blood.”
Lance does not flinch, even as spittle flies onto the corner of his mouth, dripping with the man’s vitriol. “Ten thousand years,” he reiterates, “of conquering without any value of the people they are colonising. You can trace the lineage of almost any person on any planet that has been under the Empire’s rule for longer than they can remember, and you will find Galran blood. How do you think the Empire rebuilds planets for workforces after they slaughter their armies? Do you think it’s left to natural restoration?”
For the first time the man does not speak, stunned. Both of them have stopped moving, much to the annoyance of other dancers in the gala. Lance delicately pulls himself out of the man’s hold but still stands in front of him, looking him in the eye, defiant set to his chin.
“The Empire is your enemy,” he says. “Not a race of people. I cannot count for you the amount of people who have gleefully joined the Empire in desperation of power, regardless of their race, the cost to their planet. Zarkon and his forces need to be stopped. If you stand stubbornly where you are, demanding blood tests of every ally to determine that they meet your puritan standards, you will have no allies left to stand with you.” He takes a step back and finally the blankness of his expression gives way to real fury, brown eyes flashing and jaw set with a rage Keith has never seen in him before. “I will not stand with you. Keith has earned my trust. I know my black paladin will lead this war to an end. If you stand in his way — in our way — I will cut you down before he has the chance to see your block in the road.”

Braving the storm
Tumblr media
Word Count: 991
TW: None
A/N: Hello! This is my first time writing for Lotor and my first time writing for over a year so please feel free to leave any constructive criticism and let me if you enjoyed the post! Requests are closed as I can’t guarantee I’ll be posting frequently.
You and Prince Lotor had landed on an unknown jungle planet in hopes of finding food and shelter. The sinclince ship was fine but not exactly comfortable and your food supplies were nonexistent, purchasing them from a civilised planet was out of the question now that Lotor was labelled a traitor to the Galra Empire. His generals had abandoned him but not you, your loyalty to the prince was unshakable and was your love for him even if it was possibly unrequited. Lotor was a brilliant fighter and an even better strategist who unlike most Galra had a heart and cared about the lives of others including the lives of the planets he once conquered. He was so different from his monster of a father and was now wanted dead because of it. How lonely he must be you thought to yourself, even if your heart was broken you were glad to have stayed by his side.
You were distracted from your thoughts as Lotor approached you. “Here, it's not much but you should eat” The Galran prince held out a large unusual-looking fruit, it looked like an apple but it was the size of a melon, square-shaped and cobalt blue. “Thank you, sir” you smiled politely and took the fruit. “Oh come now, it's just the two of us. There is no need for titles” Lotor chuckled before taking a bite out of his space apple. “Sorry, I’m not used to addressing you so formally si-Lotor” you quickly corrected yourself, something that Lotor didn’t miss. He chuckled again, the noise was music to your ears. It was so rare for him to have a genuine smile let alone a real laugh, you committed the sound to memory lest you never heard it again. You had been staring at him for a few minutes now as you quietly munched on your fruit, you looked up to the sky and immediately frowned. The clouds, which had been white and fluffy less than an hour ago, were now a dark grey. “Looks like we’ll have a storm tonight” you muttered miserably “yes, we’ll have to find some kind of shelter. The sincline ship aren’t exactly comfortable but I did spot a small cave not far from here, it should be satisfactory for tonight.”
You both finished your food which was surprisingly filling despite its small size before gathering the few supplies you had and headed to the cave. It was small but it was dry and on higher ground so there was little chance of getting flooded. Lotor made a small fire just as the rain started but then there was the sound you dreaded most. Booming thunder, you thought your eardrums were about to burst. The horrid sound made you jump and you covered your ears just as the sky was lit up by a flash of lightning. You were shaking like a leaf, oblivious to the worried stares Lotor was giving you. The rain pounded on the roof of rock and the thunder only seemed to be getting louder, it wasn’t long before you were trembling and on the verge of tears. Lotor moved over to you and carefully placed a hand on your shoulder, you flinched at his sudden touch but looked up at him. Before he could get another word in, the thunder boomed again and you practically jumped into Lotor’s arms. He held you tightly for a few moments, a soft smile on his face. “It’s alright darling, you’re safe here with me” he said soothingly almost in a whisper before using one hand to cover an ear and pulled you into his chest. His gloved hand offered more protection from the storm, you focused on his heartbeat as you found it soothing and soon enough the calming rhythm lulled you to sleep.
When you woke the next morning, Lotor still had his arms wrapped around you. The storm passed, the sun shined brightly in the morning sky and it was a peaceful start to the day. You tried to sit up without waking him up but your efforts were in vain. He opened his eyes with a tired groan and looked over at you with a small smile. “Good morning, sleep well?” He asked, sitting up and moving away to give you space. You tried not to show the sadness on your face as you nodded. “I did thanks to sir, I appreciate what you did for me.” Lotor smirked at you “I told you to drop the titles or do you not remember? Never mind that I’m glad I was able to help you brave the storm and I will happily do it again for you.” Your heart pounded as he moved closer to you, any closer and you’re sure he would be able to hear your heartbeat. “T-that’s very generous of you Lotor” You smiled bashfully as you looked down to avoid his gaze. He reached out and cupped your chin in his hand and lifted your head up. “It’s the least I can do for the person who stolen my heart” he leaned in and kissed you. It was soft, delicate, you thought you were still asleep and having the most wonderful dream but you opened your eyes as Lotor’s warm lips were on your own. He pulled away shortly after, the kiss had been real and it had been perfect.
“You stole my heart long ago, my precious starlight but with so many eyes on us I feared that you would be in danger if you ever discovered how I truly feel about you. You understand don’t you?” Lotor was anxious as he asked but all you could do was smile. “Of course I understand, Lotor your heart isn’t the only that was stolen” you chuckled, his face broke out into a grin as he kissed you once more and you knew that you could brave any storm with Lotor at your side.

I guess I should discuss the AU that's been rattling around in my brain in a little more detail, rather than just making shitposts about it. So here's the basic gist of it:
We all know there was one surviving universe at the end of Honerva's rampage in VLD's (pretty bad) finale before everything was restored to normal- but could it really survive everything that happened around it unscathed?
The answer is no. Of course it's no.
In a twist of irony, given Honerva's goals, Lotor is deleted from a universe that would have otherwise been very close to the canon universe as we know it- which is... kind of a problem, actually. As in 'the universe could fall apart if this event doesn't happen' problem. But don't worry. The cosmic forces of the universe has a stopgap measure of its own in place to protect itself.
After all, what could go wrong with the universe using one half-Galra to replace another?
Keith is born to Zarkon and Honerva in Lotor's place. He's always felt out of place in a way that simply only being half-Galra can't quite explain. He has a strong sensitivity to quintessence, and knows from a young age that his father and the witch that stands by his side are corrupted.
He knows he's corrupted too. he can hear things that are not him whispering in his head sometimes, telling him things. he ignores them.
(this is sometimes harder than he would like)
(on very rare occasions he hears a different voice from the rabble- one that calmly tells him not to do things. he listens to this one a little more.)
He grows up loathing his father- it's a mutual feeling. He knows that even before he was born, his mother loathed him as well. He grows up with no strong connection to their either side of his heritage.
(perhaps honerva subconsciously realized the child she was carrying was not her own)
He breaks away from the Empire on his own at an early age- he knows in his bones this is wrong, and wants no part in it. He ends up safeguarding a pocket of space from the Empire, but his motives remain erratic and he stays aloof from the other forces against the Empire, so he's not exactly trusted by them.
After all, he's not exactly not still a part of the Empire himself. Zarkon's not going to let his only heir walk away that easily.
He still ends up meeting Acxa, Narti, Ezor and Zethrid.
He's born with the Altean talent of shapeshifting- though he's better at it than most. He wears three faces- the Galran prince, the Altean wanderer, and then a third face, one of a race he has never seen before, yet feels oddly familiar to him.
(Sometimes it feels more natural than the one he was born with.)
He later learns of a planet called Earth, and its people known as humans, who so resemble his third face- and the blue lion with them. He decides to keep an eye on the planet with the excuse of trying to protect the lion... which is surely the only reason he feels such a strong draw to this otherwise backwater planet.
Which is great, because it turns out replacing Lotor with Keith created another problem the universe has to deal with- there isn't a Keith anymore to pilot the red lion.
He just kind of gets swept up in everything when the blue lion awakens, and before he knows it, he's on the Castle of Lions, and Princess Allura of all people is telling him he's a paladin. They all seem to think he's human.
Somehow, he senses it would be a very, very bad idea to tell them all he's actually Zarkon's son.
Great job Keith. You signed up for the universe's most stressful double life. I'm sure this is going to work out real well.
(I am lying.)

i am once again expanding on my ideas of how i’d write voltron but this time it’s thanks to @iveofficiallygonemad’s encouragement to hear about the galra generals
so first off, lotor + the generals should have been foils to the paladins, minus shiro cuz he’s missing when they’re introduced. the paladins being everyone in their OG lion + allura in black for reasons i’ve explored a buncha times already. the foils would be: lotor and allura, acxa and keith, narti and pidge, ezor and lance, and hunk and zethrid.
each one of these pairs has some surface level traits that are extremely similar if not identical, while having deeper traits that are completely opposite. allura and lotor are both royalty and their team’s leader, but with completely different moralities and approaches to ruling/leading. keith and acxa are both the right hands (and look so similar that ppl thought they were secret twins lmaooo) but where acxa is cold and calculating, keith is impulsive and hot-headed. both pidge and narti are very agile and keep secrets, but pidge hacks computers and narti hacks people’s minds. lance and ezor are both adaptable and outgoing, but ezor has a cruelty to her that lance doesn’t, instead being very kind. similar to them, hunk and zethrid are both powerhouses, but hunk knows to use his power responsibly while zethrid loves fighting for the sake of it. there could have been an excellent showcase here of how the team with more kindness and compassion are always beating the team that’s more cruel and uncaring.
now i don’t like the narti died, and i maintain that lotor should have been redeemed— not because i particularly like his character in canon, but because he could’ve had a much better one. he was clearly shown to have shitty parents, and it would’ve been so much more satisfying to see him rebel against them and break the cycle as it were. and with the blade of marmora being an organization of galra working against the empire, it’s clear where they could go.
i’m imagining a plotline of zarkon being resurrected or whatever happened in those seasons, and lotor being told him + his team now have no use, they were just a stand-in for zarkon while he was down and out. it’d be the final straw for him, and he’d storm off, his parents assuming his just throwing a tantrum. in reality, he’s convincing the generals— who are really the closest thing he has to friends— to just defect from the empire.
acxa has an undying loyalty to lotor, so she’s open to whatever he wants to do. ezor and zethrid are very chaotic neutral, down for whatever strikes their fancy in the moment and in this moment the idea sounds exhilarating and fun. they aren’t outright villains anymore but they’re still quite fucked up and tbh. good for them!
as for narti, she was killed in canon before she got any sort of personality, so i’m gonna hang onto the foil concept and base some personality and backstory on pidge’s. narti is very curious about life outside the empire, because the empire is all she’s known. she was a child soldier from day one. she also wants to get more knowledge about her powers and non-galran heritage, because it’s as much a mystery to her as it is to everyone else. she’s kind of always wanted to defect, but didn’t have the bravery to do so alone.
so they run away with no real plan of what to do. lotor wants a life outside of his father, but his father is ever expanding the empire, so he keeps losing places that are just his. that, plus his first hand witness of what the empire actually does, opens his eyes to the cruelty of his father’s colonization. that drives him to wanting to outright fight back against his father and the generals, who have been watching the same things, are right there with him.
acxa is watching the empire from an outsider’s position, and she’s seeing the real danger of being a mindless follower. she’s watching countless soldiers follow the orders of a handful of generals, and watching those generals not care when the soldiers get hurt or even die, because they’re just numbers and forces to the generals. she realizes that she should be making her own decisions and that even if she trusts lotor, he shouldn’t be the one in charge of her life.
narti is at first one track minded in finding her other parent’s home planet, but time and time again she watches a similar devastation happen on other planets. families get separated, important cultural artifacts are damaged, history documentation is destroyed. she learns she isn’t the only one dealing with this, and she doesn’t want any more people to suffer the same fate she has.
ezor and zethrid have been spending this time like a vacation from work, doing whatever seems most fun and rewarding. but they eventually start to see the empire repeatedly ruining their fun, and they don’t like it. they’d tell the others they don’t want zarkon interrupting them anymore and they don’t, but a large part of it is also seeing the hurt on their friends’ faces whenever they get caught in a firefight again. they love each other, and they love their friends, and they don’t want any of them getting hurt.
now obviously team voltron and their various allies wouldn’t trust lotor and co. but time and time again they’d see them helping voltron and hurting the empire how they can. eventually, there’s be tentative teamwork and down the line, they’d be invited to join the blade of marmora.
immediately all five of them would notice the familiarity between the blades and the empire. there’s basically no difference between their mottos; the blade is uncomfortably okay with letting soldiers die if it means getting the mission done.
the generals want to say something, but lotor doesn’t want to stir the pot too much. their position is very weak, there’s still very little trust in them. to come out the gate opposing how everything is done wouldn’t be good.
but the blade trusts voltron, doesn’t it? and one of the paladins is also a blade. so… they find keith and talk to him, telling him that while the blade has a good cause unlike the empire, both are a little too cool with letting people die, and it’s more than kind of upsetting.
keith, who is way too self sacrificial, doesn’t see a problem with this, but brings it up next time he’s with voltron. everyone is surprised by lotor + co’s behavior and ideals, and start to trust them more
i’m starting to lose steam here but um. lotor + co being good guys and the five of them co-leading the blade and making it better than the empire :-) they all get their own mini character arcs within this collective group arc and no one is killed for shock factor and no one is pushing the narrative of abused kids turning out just like their parents and continuing the cycle <3

For a fic that only exists in my head ✨
Galtean Klance AU that leads to the rise of the Galra Empire
Plot:
Alteans are wary. The Galrans first arrive as refugees, learning and studying under the Alteans after they drained their own home planet dry. A generation has settled and integrated in with Altean society, and Galrans find themselves being accepted into positions of power.
Keith trains to become a part of the royal guard, butting heads with another loud, charming Altean trainee - Lance - who eventually becomes Allura’s personal guard. When a marriage is arranged between the princess and Lotor, Keith is assigned to protect Lotor, becoming the first Galran to achieve royal guard status.
While experimenting with Quintessence, Honerva glimpses a future in which the Galrans nearly wipe out the Alteans. Lotor brings this to Princess Allura’s and King Alfor’s attention, but they refuse to send the Galra away. "To do so would be a death sentence for them." "To keep them is a death sentence for us." "Based on what? Things that haven't happened? A people that have hurt us none?" Lotor decides that, in order to save his people, a sacrifice must be made.
Lotor arranges a private meeting with King Alfor regarding the marriage arrangement between Allura and himself. Before Keith can excuse himself from the room, Lotor snatches the blade from Keith’s hip and kills the king. Keith turns on Lotor.
Allura and Lance arrive to find the King dead via blade wound and Keith about to kill Lotor - the man he was assigned to protect - with the very same bloody blade. Keith is successfully set up. The Galra are not to be trusted. Tensions and mistrust between Alteans and Galrans sky rocket, and war breaks out a few days later, setting into motion the future that Honerva warned against. A very messy rivals to lovers to enemies to lovers

Imagine being a Captain of a rebel resistance force against the Galra Empire...
Tumblr media
Simplyfandomish’s Masterlist
Word Count: 4,444
Warnings: None! Other than cheesy fluff, Lance being a flirt, and badass female fighter pilots
(Totally stole the plane design from Star Wars lol and character descriptions were inspired by @ctchrysler‘s Original Characters💕)
Set in Voltron Season 2, Episode 3: “Greening the Cube”
Tumblr media
“Hello, daddy. Hello, mom.
I'm your ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!
Hello world! I'm your wild girl.
I'm your ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!”
Nova’s blue eyes twitched in frustration as tools and small gadgets jumped off of the table and shelves as a result from the high bass setting that echoed through the ship.
Even with her earplugs pushed tight into her ears and her sole attention drawn to the weird space spore connected to her computers and scopes, the obnoxious music managed to penetrate her small bubble.
It seemed to be a religious practice for the ship's captain to blare annoying Earthen 80's music whenever they could. And it annoyed the other ship’s occupants to death.
“Stone age love and strange sounds too.
Come on, baby, let me get to you.
Bad nights causing teenage blues.
Get down ladies, you've got nothin' to lose.”
On the floor above, Nexia was being restricted to a much-needed nap.
The upbeat music caused her to groan in frustration and slam her pillow onto her face, desperate to at least muffle the infuriating sound. She continued to steam in anger as she reached over for her belt and buckled the pillow around her head. She began to smash her head against the wall.
“Hey, street boy, want some style?
Your dead end dreams don't make you smile.
I'll give you something to live for.
Have you and grab you until you're sore.”
Ishoël was busy in the ship’s hull with her maps and coordinates. Her large purple ears twitched and rang slightly due to their sensitivity to the blaring music, but she couldn’t help but tap her foot and swish her tail along with the beat.
Being of Galran descent, she had never heard such upbeat music before, only monotone hymns and war chants. As much as her squad would whine and complain, she quite liked Earthen music. It was so different!
“Hello, daddy. Hello, mom.
I'm your ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!
Hello world! I'm your wild girl.
I'm your ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!”
In the center of it all, the bringer of suffering was you. You danced around the ship’s deck like no one was watching - and even when Nexus and Nova would sit by, glare, and judge you, you wouldn’t stop anyways.
You would always argue these moments of dance and song were all in honor of your team’s success of the many successful liberation missions against the Galra Empire. The twins and Ishoël would always agree with your statements and let you return to your goofy, silly party state.
Oh, the perks of being Captain!
Your long pink hair swished and swayed with every movement, you enjoyed having your hair down once in a while. You loved these rare moments, when you could blare your foreign music and dance wildly.
“Cherry bomb!
Cherry bomb!
Cherry bomb!
Cherry bomb!”
Back under the decks, Nexus trudged out of her barracks with her pillow still tied tightly around her ears and entered her sister’s lab. Nova glanced up from her test subject towards her miserable twin.
Any other day the scientist would smirk and revel in her twin’s irritation, but both of the twins were suffering terribly at the moment.
“I swear, I’m going to kill that nerdy Earth kid for introducing her to this crap.” The eldest twin grumbled as she slammed her head onto the messy work desk in front of her. Her pillow knocked over a pencil cup and an empty test tube.
The younger twin nodded her head silently, her eyes never breaking from one of her many computer screens, her pale nimble fingers flying over the keys.
“What’re you doing anyways? Trying to make electricity with your space potato?” The ship was blessed with a moment of silence as the sound system was preparing for the next terrible Earthen song.
Nova ignored her guest and carried on with her business. “Isn’t that the squishy asteroid thing we picked up outside?” Another round of silence. The eldest grew a tick mark from her sister’s kuudere personality, but the expression was turned into one of confusion when Nova read the computer screen, “Under attack...Galra...Help.”
“What?!”
Nova ignored Nexus again as she typed in the coordinates the space spore produced. With a chime from her computer, she turned the screen to her Nexus. The image on the screen provided all the answers.
“The Olkari?” Nexus asked. Nova nodded in affirmation. Nexus nodded firmly, “Let’s get this to miss leader, before she makes us all deaf.”
“We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I~”
Nova and Nexus shared a horrified look before sprinting out of the lab and to the main deck. “Not this song! It’s awful!”
______________________________
The sight before the mighty Paladins of the Legendary Voltron was not at all what they were expecting.
When the Paladins heard whimpers and wails behind the cell door, their immediate thoughts went to torture, but last time they checked, a romantic movie with the Romeo and Juliet troupe wasn’t torture.
The Black, Red, Blue, and Yellow paladins shared a dumbfounded look with each other.
“She loves you!” Their mission’s target was sobbing like a baby, his eyes never tearing away from the holographic movie screen.
The paladins approached the kidnapped king. “King Lubos?” The black paladin asked. Confusion swam in all of the paladins’ minds. Both the king and his chained assistant turned to the newcomers.
“Who are you? The jesters I requested?”
“Ummm…” The blue paladin started awkwardly, “We’re here to like...rescue you?”
The king made a noise in the back of his throat and discreetly pressed a button on the side of his recliner. The lights flashed on momentarily blinding the occupants, and the main doors slid open. Red lights and sirens flashed all around.
The Galran base leader stalked into the room with a vicious smirk. They were caught!
“You could’ve just said ‘no thanks’.” The yellow paladin remarked towards the traitorous king.
“Looks like someone came to rescue you, your highness.” The base leader smirked in amusement.
“You turned your back on your own people to save your own skin.” The black paladin accused, offending the Olkarian King.
“I’m doing this for my people! They wanted to fight the Galra, but they’re too powerful. The gala could destroy us!” The king tried to defend his actions, but it was a blatant excuse and the Paladins knew it.
“So you helped enslave your people to build some super weapon?” The blue paladin hissed.
“Don’t make me the bad guy!” King Lubos snapped and pointed a finger toward the base leader, “He forced me to do it!”
“Did he force-feed you too?”
The silence spoke a thousand words.
“You’re no king.” The red paladin piped up before charging at the Olkarian king. The royal tried to scramble away, but was head-butted by the chained assistant and thrown into the paladin’s grasp.
The red paladin raised his bayard toward the king’s throat. “Ok! We’re walking out of here! Anyone who tries to stop us and Lubos gets it!” The paladin’s teammates spluttered from shock of Keith’s sudden declaration.
“La-sai, what’re you doing?” The king whimpered towards the angered assistant. “You betrayed our people, I can’t live this lie anymore!” La-sai stated with a deep glare.
“You don’t want me to hurt your genius engineer, right?” The red paladin returned his attention to the Galra commander.
“Oh, be my guest~ His work is done. The cube is complete.”
“What?” King Lubos exclaimed, sweat dripping from his forehead. “B-But, I thought we had a deal!”
“Guards, put them all out of their misery.” The commander smirked. The Galra soldier bots’ guns lit up as they began to charge its ammo, but before anything could happen, an explosion shook the entire building. Red laser blasts cut through the wall and separated the paladins and the Galra.
Through the newly formed hole was a mysterious ship. One that only the Galra could identify.
“Valkries!” The Galra leader was choked on the large clouds of smoke.
“Need a lift?” A female voice called out through the plane’s speakers. The paladins didn’t know who or what side they were on, but they needed a quick escape and the world presented itself with one. Hastily, those who sided with Team Voltron climbed onto the ship’s nose and held on tight. The pilot backed out from the building and sped off towards the forest.
“I got pick up, Artemis. Light ‘em up!”
“Roger, Luna!”
A plane nearly identical to their rescue vessel, other than its color scheme, soared past them and began laser assaults on the main building as well as taking out all the Galra posts surrounding the base.
“Who are you?” The black paladin shouted over the wind. He tried his best to distinguish their rescuer, but with both the tinted window and helmet visor, the Shiro could only see the pilot’s silhouette.
“An ally!” She answered with a thumb’s up.
“Shiro, Lance, you guys okay?! Who is this?” The green paladin asked through their comm link, tailing the foreign plane into the woods.
“We don’t know, they said they’re an ally.” Shiro answered back.
“Here’s your stop!” The pilot said as she hovered above the ground, nearest to where the Olkari village was settled.
“It’s the Geidi Prime Valkyries!” An Olkarian exclaimed, triggering the rest of the populace to flock towards the plane, all cheering and waving.
King Lubos practically threw himself off of the plane’s nose and went onto his knees, his forehead buried deep into the ground. With the Valkyries here, he was toast now! He began to vomit out praises and apologizes, beginning for his safety.
“The what?” Lance asked the nearest Olkarian to him. The alien brought their hand down from the air and clasped them to their chest in a lovesick manner. “The Geidi Prime Valkyries! They’re the best of the Geidi Prime brigades whose mission is to stop all Galra! Much like yours, mighty paladins.”
The paladins observed the medium-sized ship. It had more length than height with its nose being the most prominent and decorative. Along the hood was painted outstretched wings with a sword running through the middle. Down its body was a mint green stripe, and numerous painted tally marks dotted the line. It had four thrust engines with a laser cannon on each of its four wings. The wings themselves formed an ‘x’ shape.
The pilot saluted to the crowd through the window, before swinging back around towards the Galra base and hitting its thrusters. As seemingly fast as their own lions, the vessel swerved through the trees and out of sight.
The Olkari crowd continued their cheering even after she left. Pidge was unashamedly a part of this crowd.
The paladins stared at their youngest with raised eyebrows.
Pidge chuckled sheepishly when she finally realized the looks her team was throwing at her. “What??” She asked innocently. “Did you see those Incom 5H5 fusial thrust engines?! And the LP8 laser cannons?!” Pidge continued on with her fangirl rave.
Hunk, Lance, and Keith recoiled when Pidge began to drool.

“All bystanders are free from the battle zone.”
“About time! What’d you do? Have a pint of mead and flirt?” You snorted.
Artemis was always the first to respond, and always with a sassy comment. “I wouldn’t have minded, the one in black was cute.”
“Whatever, Luna.” You grinned at Nova’s annoyance.
“Are you two done with your lovers’ quarrel up there, because the Galra’s newest weapon is on the move.” Gemini was the next to come through the link.
“Alright, alright, what you got for us, Apollo?” You asked. Your eyes trailed on the weird black floating cube in front of you.
“So far it hasn’t done anything, but cruising along the planet’s surface.” Nova’s smooth, monotone voice answered. “Gemini and I are still trying to hack into the main base to get intel.”
Both Valkyrie ships cruised parallel to each other, staying a good distance from the cruising cube: the Galra’s newest war machine.
“It’s just a dumb cube, what’s it gonna do? Shoot lasers at us?” Nexus wisecracked with a smirk.
The purple lining of the cube flashed and formed a- “GAH! I didn’t mean it!” It seemed the weaponry had heard Artemis’ taunts and fired a laser at her.
“You just had to go and taunt the thing didn’t you?”
“Shut up and help me!”
You rolled your eyes and went to assist your partner, who became the target for the cube’s lasers. You fired lasers at the cube, the bullets only being absorbed and no damage coming to the cube. You became the next target, as the cube started firing its lasers back at your ship. You just managed to flip your plan just in time to avoid being hit with the rapidly fired lasers.
“Great! It absorbs power!” Artemis shouted angrily. Both female pilots swerved out of the way from lasers as the cube continued to relentlessly fire at them.
“Apollo, get me a weakness!” You exclaimed over the comm.
“Trying.”
“Artemis, fall back so Apollo can figure it out.” Nexus sighed in frustration and pouted. She came out for a fight and now-! “AH!” She screamed out again when a large vessel flew past her, nearly clipping the end of her right wing.
Gemini gasped, “Oh my stars...I-Its…”
“Is that-?”
“It’s Voltron!”
The four Valkyrie’s stared at the robot in awe.
“So it’s true…” You breathed.
They all watched as Voltron tried to fight off the cube, but the Paladins had yet to realize the cube’s power as they used one of the robot’s special powers to try and defeat the weaponry. Not even a moment later did the cube retaliate with its own power and the mighty robot was thrown to the ground like a rag doll.
______________________________
“Ouch!” The Paladins yelped from the hard landing.
“You all alright?!” Shrio asked through the comms. He sighed in relief when he got responses back. “Good! Now let’s: Form Sword!”
______________________________
The Valkyries watched Voltron summon its sword and slice the cube straight down the middle.
“T-that couldn't have worked...right??” There were now two cubes floating. The pair flashed a blinding light, before returning to their black and purple coloring.
“It can split up?!” Nexus shrieked in the comms.
“Weakness! Now!” You commanded.
“We’re trying!” Ishoël answered back.
Voltron retaliated and sliced the cubes through the middle, but their victory didn't last long as now four cubes flashed and came back online. They began to surround Voltron and fire their lasers at the large robot.
Voltron used its shield to deflect the lasers, but in no time the robot had difficulty protecting all its sides from the four fierce cubes, and eventually, the robot separated into five individual lions.
“I’m going in!” You punched your right throttle forward, your ship lurched back into the fray.
“Finally!” Artemis cackled and followed you in.
You flew past one of the cubes that chased after the red lion, instantly gaining the cube’s attention. The cube fired its lasers at your plane, but you were quicker.
With both throttles, you maneuvered your plane into summersault to avoid the lasers. Upside down, but leveled you fire your lasers against a second cube that was relentless upon the black lion. You swerved your plane to avoid colliding with the weakened lion robot, but now you had two cubes chasing you.
"T-there's no weakness!" Gemini stuttered through the comm link.
"What do you mean there’s no weakness?!" Artemis screeched as she did the same flip maneuver to save the blue lion.
"The cubes were made by the Olkari, they make their tech flawless with no abnormality. No matter who or what the weapon is for.” Apollo piped up.
To make matters worse, the green lion was shot down by a cube. Its mechanical cat body rocketed back into the tall forest.
“Ah!” Artemis grunted when a rogue laser struck the tip of her X-wing. “Oh no you didn’t!!” She roared in anger and fired upon the third cube. The Valkyries’ lasers did nothing to the four cubes, but with all chasing the pair, the beaten-up Voltron lions sat out and tried to recuperate.
______________________________
"What are they doing?!" Keith grunted out as he and the rest of the Paladins watched as the Valkyries played tag with the cubes. Pidge had been shot down and was unresponsive and now these strange planes were doing another reckless thing!
"I don't know, but that is probably the best piloting skills I have ever seen," Shiro stated in awe as the two planes dodged and spun away from the array of lasers.
Keith and Lance pursed their lips, mainly the latter. Both thought their flying skills were exceptional, yet only to get shown up by a group of mystery pilots.
"They can't hold on much longer," Keith said as the purple-painted Valkyrie had smoke trailing out its wings.
"We gotta get back in there!" Hunk exclaimed as he and the paladins moved to enter back into the field.
"Guys, hang on!"
"Pidge!"
______________________________
"I can't keep this up all day, miss leader!" Artemis clenched her teeth as she dove into another nosedive. She winced again when another laser shaved off a piece of metal from her laser cannon.
As much as you never wanted to admit defeat and raise a white flag of surrender, you couldn’t help but agree. Sweat had built around your temples and your knuckles began to throb from how tight you squeezed the throttles.
Would this be it?? Would you and Artemis be shot down because these stupid cubes couldn’t be defeated?? Would this be the end of the Geidi Prime Valkyries??
“Got ya!” Pidge cheered in victory as she shot a large bright green laser at one of the cube’s on Artemis’ tail. The laser hit the second cube, causing the glowing purple lights to turn green for a moment before an army of vines erupted from the center of the cube. The long, heavy vines coiled around the edges of the cube and the Galra weapon fell out of the sky.
The second cube left Artemis and chased after the green lion, but Pidge was ready. The lion simply spun around and aimed its newly formed cannon at the cubes.
“Aw come on!” Artemis whined. “He just stole my thunder!” She pouted, hands loose on the throttles now that the enemy was off her six.
“Want some of mine then?!” You grunted out as you spun your ship into a tight freefall. You could feel your seat growing hot and on your screen, the left bottom engine began to illuminate orange.
“Luna!” Artemis punched her ship back into gear and intercepted the second cube trailing you.
It felt like you were back to square one with cubes following both planes. "Thanks, Artemis! Now, let's line it up for him!"
Both Valkyries did one last aerial flip; You pulled up from low in the air and flipped upside down again. Artemis did the same, coming from high above.
You both grinned up at one another through your cockpits as you passed each other. Green lasers came from the side and shot at the final cubes.
You sighed out in exhaustion and relief, while Artemis did flips and spirals as she whooped and cheered.
“Did you see that flip?! I’ve never flown upside before!” She cheered.
“Very impressive, sister.”
“Nice job, Artemis!”
“Watch out, Luna! I’m on my way to steal your wings!”
You rolled your eyes in amusement. “Whatever you say, Artemis.”
Gemini came through the comm links again. "Information has been extracted, and the Olkari are invading. All Galra ships are fleeing."
“Roger that, Gemini. Let's go, Artemis." Both Valkyries turned their planes toward the Galra base and cruised off. The Voltron lions followed close behind.
The blue lion appeared at Artemis' side and started to pull ahead. The pilot narrowed her eyes, he wasn’t....was he?
Artemis smirked before hitting her thrusters, leaving the blue lion in her dust.
Lance blinked in confusion before gaining a smirk of his own. “A race, huh? Not on our watch! Let's hit it, Blue!”
"I want to thank you and the rest of your team." Ryner shook Nova and Ishoël’s hands in gratitude.
"We're just doing our duty to the galaxy!" Ishoël grinned before the three of them turned their attention toward the sky. They blinked to avoid dust flying in their eyes as two Valkyrie ships and five Voltron lions landed.
Nova and Ishoël rushed up to the x-wing fighter planes; Ishoël looked like a goofball as she ran with her arms high in greeting. Nova simply followed behind her with a small smile.
The Voltron Paladins rushed out of their own lions to properly meet the Giedi Prime Valkyries. Their attention went from the planes towards the two people on the ground, all of them gasped when they spotted a human girl with dark blue hair tied in a low ponytail that hung loosely on her shoulder, a pair of goggles sat on her head, and tool belt hanging loosely from her hips.
But what surprised the Paladins was the- “Galra!” Keith snarled as he pulled out his bayard. He charged at the tall Galra female with his teammates right on his heels with their own bayards.
The pilot of the purple Valkyrie plane hopped out of her cockpit and landed in between the red paladin and her own teammates.
The Paladins, minus the raging red, were surprised she made such a landing from that height without injury. “Hold your horses, tomato head!” The pilot shouted as she held her hands up and peeled off her helmet.
And it was like slow motion.
The pilot was female and looked nearly identical to other on the ground. Identical twins, they all presumed. But half of the pilot’s head was shaved down with the other half being a sweaty, windswept mess.
Hunk snorted, “Tomato head.” Keith snarled at him.
Lance was all goo-goo eyes and hearts.
“What's going on here?” Their attention turned to the new voice.
And it was like slow motion.
You approached the group and peeled off your helmet. Your long bubblegum pink hair spilled out of the helmet and down her back in a high ponytail. You looked between both groups for answers.
“Just another Galra mistake, Luna,” Ishoël answered with a wave of dismissal. Her fluffy purple ears flicked as she smiled shyly, showing off her sharp, pearly white fangs. Her golden eyes turned into little crescent moons with her adorable smile.
The black paladin cleared his throat and stepped forward. He took off his helmet to show peace.
And it was like slow motion.
He was tall, handsome, and boy were his gray eyes pretty. His hair was jet black except for the tuft of white that hung into his eyes. A long, jagged pink scar covered his nose, but to you, it made him even more interesting.
Nova elbowed you out of your daydream.
“We’re sorry for our mistake. I-I’m sure you can understand why-”
“Please don’t worry about it. I’m well aware of what my people are doing. You don’t need to apologize.” Ishoël waved off his apology.
“Ishoël, you’re such a saint.” You cooed as you stepped beside her and wrapped your arms around her forearms. She was too tall to properly wrap your arms around her neck.
“You work with a Galra?” Keith couldn’t believe his eyes.
Hunk, Lance, and Pidge had taken off their helmets and sheathed their bayards; Keith hesitated for a moment before following his team.
“There are many Galras that don’t follow the regime. We have lots of Galran refugees in our ranks.” You answered simply. Nexus nodded firmly with her arms crossed, she shot a stink eye on the red paladin.
Your small smile dropped into immense surprise when the green paladin launched herself at your face. Stars had replaced Pidge’s eyes and she stared up at your squad as if you were royalty. “On Geidi Prime right?? We’ve only heard about your planet here and there, but actually seeing you guys in action! Your planes are gorgeous by the way! They’re technological masterpieces and the engines and laser canons- WOW!” Her team also had looks of surprise, never had they seen Pidge fangirl so hard.
Nova stepped forward and- “Thank you! Finally, someone appreciates all my hard work!” The Valkyries matched the Paladins’ shock as they watched their tech wizard come out of her shell and speak so happily.
“You made them?!” Nova nodded with a loud hum.
“That’s AMAZING! I have to see the technological advancements and mechanisms you guys have!”
Stars floated around the pair.
“Of course!” Nova took Pidge by her wrist and dragged her towards Nexus’ beaten plane.
The two battle squads continued to watch the pair with wide eyes and gobsmacked.
“Guess Nova’s found a new friend,” Ishoël commented.
Nexus flushed pink with jealousy and marched over to her plane, angrily grumbling about how no one will steal her twin away from her.
Lance slinked up next to you and Ishoël with his usual cheesy smirk. “So what’re your guys’ names?”
Ishoël smiled with her fangs again. “My name is Ishoël. Nova took off with your friend and Nexus is her twin.” She pointed over to the plane with the purple-painted pinstripe.
“ ‘Nexus’, huh?” He slicked back his short brown hair and readjusted his blue and white chest piece. “I can work with that.” He strutted off confidently towards the older twin.
The remaining Valkyries watched him go with surprise.
“Ignore him.” Shiro huffed in amusement and annoyance.
“That’s Lance, our resident flirt,” Hunk answered with a snort.
“He’s terrible at it though.” Keith rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
“So, there’s Lance, Pidge was stolen by your friend, this is Hunk and Keith.” He introduced the yellow and red paladins at his side. “And I’m Shiro. You are?”
Ishoël pinched your side so you wouldn’t sigh out the black paladin’s name like some love-sick fool. You cleared your throat and swallowed down the butterflies. Good thing Ishoël was good at reading you. “Captain (Y/n) of the Geidi Prime Valkyrie Squadron, a multi-awarded Ace and one of the leading generals for the resistance~”
You grew pink as your hair at Ishoël’s words. She didn’t have to give your full title!
Shiro stepped forward and held out his hand. “Pleasure to make your acquaintance. I’m eager to work with you in the future to liberate the universe from the Galra Empire.”
You smiled and grabbed his hand. “Let’s go end a war.”

Royal greetings honey, (sorry) it's me again
It's 2 a.m., and I had a crack-idea: do you know these period belts that simulate period cramps??? How would galran men react to the pain?
Imagine some merciless, strong warriors laying on the floor like a shrimp, I'm crying
Thank you darling, good night!
Oh yes, I know what they are. I've watched a few videos of men trying them and it's hilarious 😂. I would be happy to write your request 😁
_________________________________________
~ Throk ~
~ Every month when you get your period Throk scoffs when you're in pain; he doesn't necessarily mean it in a mean-spirited way, but he doesn't see how you can be so affected by what he thinks is just a little pain
~ After a couple of months of him downplaying your pain you buy a period cramps simulator from the space mall
~ Throk scoffs again when you challenge him to see if he can stand feeling how much pain you go through, luckily he's always up for a challenge
~ Before you two start you try it on yourself to see what setting is closest to what you experience every month
~ Then it's Throk's turn to put the little patches on his lower abdomen
~ He really does think that the pain won't be all that bad, galra are capable of withstanding all kinds of pain
~ *cue to Throk laying on the couch looking like he can withstand anything*
~ You start off with the first two settings which aren't so bad, Throk still has a cocky grin on his face thinking he's right about you overreacting every month
~ That's when you turn the dial up to the setting that matches your monthly cramps
~ Throk practically yowls in pain when he feels how bad it is, he's never felt anything like it before
~ He's never felt so much pain in his lower abdomen before and while the controls are on it doesn't end, instead it keeps coming in what he can describe as waves
~ He nearly rolls off of the couch in the process, thankfully he doesn't because he doesn't want the little wires to get damaged
~ Tries to keep a straight face after that but fails, Throk is willing to tough it out even though he wants to curl up in a ball and cry
~ However, as soon as you turn the dial up to the highest setting Throk begins to actually cry because the pain is so bad
~ He curls up into a ball as much as he can because he wants to find a position that eases the pain just a little bit; he doesn't find one, though
~ How are you able to survive such pain? And every month? He legit feels bad for criticizing you for something you can't control
~ Needless to say Throk has way more respect for you after he feels what you go through every month and he never complains again, instead he takes care of you every time you get your period and makes sure you're as comfortable as possible
__________
~ Ranveig ~
~ It's no secret that Ranveig's one of the toughest galra commanders in the entire galra empire, it's why he's in charge of one of the most dangerous territories, although because he's so powerful he thinks that he can withstand anything
~ He doesn't necessarily downplay your pain when you're experiencing period cramps, although he's definitely thought that you were overreacting during some of your worst periods
~ When you both come across a period cramps simulator at the space mall you decide to buy it so that you can see if your significant other can actually experience cramps without being affected
~ Ranveig agrees to try it the next day because he doesn't think it'll be so bad, little does he know what he's about to experience
~ You try it out first the next day so you know what setting is closest to what you feel on a monthly basis
~ Ranveig sits on the couch when you stick the little patches to his lower abdomen; he looks so confident and you're ready to bring him to his knees
~ He doesn't feel the first two settings but he feels a little bit of the third one and says it tickles
~ That's when he gets cocky and subtly mentions how human women are weak
~ You get angry and turn the dial up to the highest setting without warning him first because you're pissed, if he thinks that human women are weak for suffering from period cramps then he has another thing coming
~ Ranveig's eye widens and he actually squeals when he feels the pain rippling through his lower abdomen in waves, he never expected the pain to be that bad
~ Believe it or not you actually bring Ranveig to his knees, he slides right off of the couch so he can sit with his legs folded beneath him while he slouches in pain
~ He can't even talk because the pain is so bad, he legit regrets saying what he said
~ Like, imagine Ranveig curled up while failing to work through the simulated version of the worst period cramps in the entire universe
~ When you think he's had enough you turn the dial to zero and kneel down in front of your large boyfriend/husband
~ Ranveig apologies as soon as he catches his breath, then he admits how wrong he had been for thinking period cramps weren't painful
~ From then on Ranveig has the highest respect for human women, he believes that anyone who can go through all that pain, bleeding and other highly unpleasant symptoms must have some kind of incredible power
__________
~ Branko ~
~ Branko can be pretty cocky and thinks that he can handle anything, but unlike Throk he doesn't downplay your pain every time you get your period
~ However, he doesn't think it's all that bad and that he could easily handle it
~ That's when you order a period cramps simulator; if your significant other thinks that he can handle period cramps then you want him to prove it
~ Branko thinks it's cute and kind of hilarious when you dare him to try the simulator, since he thinks that he can handle it he humors you by agreeing
~ He has to wait for you to read the instructions and try it out so that you know which setting comes closest to what you experience every month, then you detach the patches from your lower abdomen and stick them on his
~ He barely feels the first two settings, although he starts to feel a little something by the time you turn the dial to the third
~ Branko wonders why you make such a big deal about your monthly cramps until you turn the dial up to what your cramps are like when you get them
~ You smirk as he grits his teeth together and assures you that he's fine even though he's obviously in pain
~ Since you sort of get satisfaction from proving your point you slowly turn the dial up a few more notches
~ Branko can tell that you're enjoying yourself; he's kind of proud, but at the same time he's in more pain than he originally thought he'd be in
~ The sudden burst of pain at the beginning was a whole new sensation to him, although the way the cramps increased with each turn of the dial had him writhing in pain on the couch
~ By the time you have the dial on the highest setting Branko is forcing himself to stay seated on the couch while tears spill down his cheeks, he never imagined that human women could experience such pain
~ In the end Branko learns his lesson and thinks that all human women are tough in order to be able to deal with their periods every month
~ After the whole ordeal he needs a few minutes to recover; in the future he makes sure to take care of you better when your period comes, it's the least he can do as your boyfriend/husband
__________
~ Lotor ~
~ Lotor understands that people of every species has to deal with some kind of reproductive organ related bodily function at some point during their lives, so naturally he knows you're not overreacting to your period cramps
~ In order to better understand what you go through every month Lotor orders a period cramps simulator
~ When Lotor proudly tells you about his most recent purchase you're a little speechless; on one hand it's sweet of him to want to understand what you go through, but on the other hand you feel bad for what he's about to experience when it comes in
~ On the day the package gets delivered to his ship he puts Acxa in charge while the two of you head straight to the habsuite you both live in
~ His generals already know all about the period cramps simulator, so they know not to disturb you and Lotor
~ Lotor thoroughly reads the instructions before you test it out first, that way you know what setting is closest to what you go through every month
~ When it's Lotor's turn you stick the patches on his lower abdomen and stand in front of him, and you make sure that he's ready before you turn the dial on its first setting
~ Lotor's body jerks and he lets out a loud gasp when he feels the first twinge of pain, he assures you that he's fine though
~ You apologize and asks him if he needs to to stop, but Lotor reassures you that he's fine
~ As you slowly turn the dial up to the level that matches your monthly cramps you notice how your significant other is on the verge of crying from the pain
~ Lotor's never experienced pain in such a way before, he respects you even more now than before, and he's always respected you
~ The way the pain wracks through his lower abdomen and the surrounding areas has him gritting his teeth and squeezing his knees as he tries to keep himself upright
~ He doesn't even make it to the highest setting before he has to stop, the waves of intense pain are too much for him to bear
~ Cuddles are ensured aftwards; Lotor always cuddles with you when you have period cramps, so you do the same to comfort him after he experiences them for himself even though they were only simulated
~ Lotor decides to use the period cramps simulator as an interrogation tool in case he ever needs it, that way he doesn't have to result to violence to get the answers he needs if the situation ever presents itself

If a galran (such as Krolia) disappeared, and then later returned to the galra empire (not the blade of marmora, the empire) with a hybrid child (such as keith) how would people react and what would happen to them?
In my original post concerning Krolia taking him with her, I did indeed say that she'd make a beeline for the BoM, but I also touched upon the general reaction of the Empire as a whole:
In Imperial circles, the ramifications of bearing a hybrid kitling can range quite dramatically from being side-eyed at one’s choice in bedfellow, to disgust and outrage at having sullied the gene-pool… though this extreme is reserved for the Empire’s strict traditionalists, many of whom still perpetuate racist attitudes within galra circles, so you see why they’d be so upset by a hybrid. As I’ve said before, harming a galra child (even if said child is a hybrid) is distinctly ingalran and goes against their principles, as all children are culturally precious; sequestering a hybrid child away so as to conceal their family’s shame, however, would not be out of the question.
For argument's sake, let's say Krolia's backstory unfolds as it did in canon, except Tex dies, so she takes Keith back with her and for whatever reason is maybe intercepted by an Imperial vessel before she gets to the Blade. In this scenario, there's no hiding that she has an obviously ingalran child with her, and so of course she has to claim him as her own thus revealing that he's a hybrid. As stated above, harming a galra child (hybrid or no) is out of the question, and Krolia certainly wouldn't be the first Imperial soldier to have produced hybrid offspring, so more than likely Keith's existence would be formerly recorded and he would become an official citizen of the Empire; accommodations would be made and Krolia would likely be transferred to a military position at one of the quieter nursery colonies (which would be of little use to the Blade, but a wonderful place to raise a child) and though it's not impossible that Keith would still experience a certain degree of othering from his peers for being so overtly ingalran—especially those from more "traditional" bloodlines—I'm inclined to believe that he'd actually have been happier among the galra than he was among humans, due to his instinctual behaviours aligning far more closely with this side of his parentage.
Ultimately, Keith would grow up as the galra do, with a vast extended family of peers and parental figures alike, he would have discovered his love of flying early on, and despite his dubiuos bloodline the Imperial military wouldn't want to waste talent like that so he'd have been encouraged to serve his Emperor as best he could. When the red lion is discovered, and the best of the best are being submitted as potential paladins, Keith naturally would want to throw his hat into the ring and maybe it's a trial, maybe there's resistance from the higher-ups because if their finest were unable to claim the mighty crimson beast then what could a half-breed possibly offer, but,,, maybe, just maybe, he gets his chance.
And maybe, this time, the red paladin of voltron wears the Emperor's colours.

From Krolia to Keith
Okay I found this random angry speech in my drafts with absolutely no context, but whatever. Let's roll with it. (Because I don't feel like coming up with ideas right now.)
-----------------------------------------------------
What if Texas died and Krolia took Keith with her?
-
Keith is a Marmoran soldier. He may look different that his fellow fighters, but he was raised the same as them and now battles the Galra with them.
He doesn't know much about where he comes from, just that his father was from a planet called Earth and died a week after Keith was born.
In some ways, he's more driven than most other Marmoran soldiers, because he fights to avenge his father and the Earth culture that he was robbed of.
But that all changed when he was taken in by Voltron.
They had discovered the blade and landed their castle near to the base. The second Keith entered the castle he could feel something calling out to him. After he found red and fought off several Galran spies, he was accepted as a paladin.
He can tell that the other paladins are slightly wary of Keith thanks to his large fluffy ears, curving horns, and fiery temper, along with several other Galra traits that he inherited from his mother.
Or so he assumes, his mother disappeared on an assignment when Keith was 3, and he has no memory of what she looks like.
He does remember words, lessons, things that she had told him before leaving him behind.
Every time he thinks about her, he can remember a particular conversation clearly.
Krolia is moving quickly around the small dorm that she shares with her young son. She's about to be deployed on a mission, and she knows Kolivan doesn't appreciate lack of punctuality.
However, as she walks toward the door, she feels a soft tug on the tight material of her suit. She looks down to see Keith staring up at her with his large, deep eyes. He reminds her of Texas, both of them with their knowing gazes and endless hunger for knowledge.
“Someone told me about soulmates. They’re made for you and love you forever” He whispers out in his small voice.
Krolia immediately sours. If there's anything she's taught Keith, it's that he's self sufficient, and doesn't need silly reassurances like love to get by. She'll have to talk to Keith's instructor about planting futile ideas in children's minds.
“Ha. Bullshit. I met your father by crash landing on his planet. Those earth people have a way of spinning tales and lies that they create to make themselves feel something like permanence. But you know what? I watched your father die at the hand of my own kind after only a couple years of knowing him. The universe doesn’t care if you’ve finally found happiness, or that you want things to last forever. I watched my heart die along with that man. And when I die, don’t lie to yourself thinking that I won’t because I will, I’ll leave you behind too. And you will be all alone. Sure you’ll feel crushed and empty, but you know what? You’re gonna suck it up! People are a waste of time. The only person you can trust is yourself, got it? Families are only going to steal the breath from your lungs and claw your soul out. And if you are stupid enough to fall into that trap, you will go kicking and screaming. No one can pin you down if you don’t give in. We may be fighting them, but the Galra empire has the right idea. Vrepit Sa, victory or death. There is no in between.”
Keith tries to latch on to that, to keep himself from giving in to the false hope of belonging and security.
But it's hard to ignore the pleasant feelings that flutter through him whenever one of his team mates, his family, sends him a warm smile or gives him a firm pat on the back.
Here, he feels important, like he belongs to this band of chaotic people.

She’s been fine, for this whole time.
Her grief is always a low hum in the back of her mind. Constant. Since the first ring of that phone call to her mother — she knew, before Mom had even picked up, before the phone had finished ringing, her stomach dropped to her toes and took her heart with it — the grief had taken root, making her entire word sharper, a shade of red sliding over her eyes.
She’s heard people describe grief in shades of grey. Heard people talk about how everything goes flat, dull, unimportant, emotionless.
It has never been like that for Pidge.
Her grief made her furious. She knew from the moment her mother let out that first choked sob, turning away from Katie like somehow if she muffled her tears enough she wouldn’t find out what that phone call was saying. Pidge knew from that fucking second that someone had taken half her family away, and she knew the second after that they would pay. The bitterness had bubbled hard and fast in her chest, and she’d moved. Cut her hair and faked her name and lied to her mother. She spoke every word with clenched teeth, tense muscles trembling in rage any time an officer so much as looked at her wrong, so much as whispered the name Holt.
Her grief has never made her dull. Her grief has made her strong, has powered her through the Garrison and space and the Galran Empire. Her grief has powered her through war.
But today, she looks in the mirror, hair shorter than she remembers and poofed around her head, round coke-bottle lenses reflected back at her, and the colour leeches out from the room.
She recognises her reflection.
But she does not recognise herself.
“Pidge? Are you in there, love? You’re tardy for birthday breakfast!”
She doesn’t startle at Allura’s voice. She barely even registers the sound. She stares at herself, unblinking, until her eyes burn.
“Pidge?” Allura calls again, softer this time. “Is everything alright?”
Katie startles herself with her own sob. Her eyes widen, glancing through the mirror at her own mouth, finding it gaping, hearing her lungs gasp out for breath, some kind of gagging noise coming from her throat, tears wetting her cheeks. She feels none of it. It’s like she’s watching it happen to a different person, a different Katie.
The girl in the mirror is completely foreign to her. She doesn’t recognize the creature with eyes like cracked glass, who is choking on her sobs, whose heart is pounding and aching and hurting.
Pidge Gunderson is the mysterious new student at the Garrison, who bears a striking resemblance to the missing-in-action Kerberos Mission cadet with the same short hair and glasses, who is angry and who is tough and who is fearless. Pidge Gunderson is the Paladin of the Green Lion, Protector of Forests and genius hacker, unphased by Zarkon’s fury and unmoved by the constant pain around her.
Pidge Gunderson is nowhere to be found. Instead, in the mirror, is Katie.
Katie Holt is terrified. Katie Holt is aching. Katie Holt is in pain. Katie Holt looks like her mother, broken-hearted and alone at her dinner table, reading the note her daughter left her and sobbing into her hands.
“Oh, Pidge.”
Cool hands touch the back of her neck, the small of her back, and then she’s enveloped in the familiarly foreign smell of sweet juniberries.
Like something in her has cracked, Katie cries in Allura’s hold, great heaving sobs that shake her whole body until she hurts, until she feels like she’s cracking, like she’s splintering along the fragments of her bones, spine cracking in half and splintering her into a thousand pieces. Allura tightens her hold, but Katie is sure that she’s going to fall to pieces anyway, a billion of them, impossible for Allura to hold together.
“It always hurts worse on days like this. I know. I know, asteraki.”
The reminder only makes her sob harder. Of course Allura knows — Allura has lost everything. Everyone she has ever known, every person she loved, her home, the flowers that grew under her window and the the sounds of Altea around her. She has so little left of home.
“It’s not fair,” Katie chokes out, barely making out the words. “I want my mom.” She sobs again, a broken, wailing sound, the sound of the wounded and dying, the sound you would hear with the smell of the freshly turned dirt of a grave. “I want my brother. My dad. I want my family back.”
Allura’s hands shake on the back of Katie’s head. Her voice cracks as she speaks. “Me, too.”
Katie has no idea how long they cry. At some point they slide to the floor, holding onto each other, tears smearing their faces and lungs aching from the pain of their grief. Neither of them moves when their tears run out, eyes dry up, muscles cramped and aching. They sit together, sniffling, holding their grief inches in front of them, stifling in Katie’s small ensuite washroom, crouched in front of the sink.
The sounds of footsteps are quiet, at first. Muffled voices are harder to mistake. The creak of Pidge’s door even more distinctive.
“Gremlin?” Lance calls, softly. A muttered really, Lance? goes ignored. “Everything groovy?”
…Groovy?
Pidge is hurting. Undeniably. But the shock of Lance’s dumbass sentence is so — her laugh is sudden, startling, making a bubble of snot burst out of her nose and setting Allura right off. By the time the rest of the team files into the already-cramped bathroom, it’s to the sight of the Leader of the Coalition and her Green Paladin, eyes red and irritated, cheeks tear-streaked, laughing each other hoarse.
“Sounds like a party,” Shiro says, smiling as he plops down on the floor. The rest of the boys follow, flopping about and elbowing each other several times (with the exception of Coran, who manages to sit quite gracefully).
“A bit of a pity party,” Allura explains, trying to get herself under conte. “We’re laughing now because Pidge snot-bubbled.”
The look on Hunk’s face sets them off again.
“Gross,” he says, but he’s smiling.
“Definitely a little,” Pidge agrees. “Someone pass me some tissue paper?”
Lance, closest to the roll, hesitates. “Do you promise not to throw it at me when you’re done with it? I’ll scream. I don’t care how sad you are.”
Pidge and Allura glance at each other. They could do with seeing Lance screech. A quick look at Keith’s smirk confirms he wouldn’t mind, either.
“Promise,” they both lie at the same time.
Lance, who is chronically trusting and endlessly gullible, passes them both a bunch. They quickly wipe their faces and, without coordinating or anything, pause for just long enough that Lance lets his guard down, then chuck the dirty, snot-filled tissues at him at the same time.
As promised, his shriek is so shrill they actually can’t hear it.
He lunges for the doorway of the bathroom immediately, kicking poor Shiro in the head on his way out, cussing up a storm as he goes. The rest of the team promptly loses their whole shit.
“You shitheads! You gall-brained jackasses! You complete and utter fucking scallywags! I’m returning your fucking birthday present, Pidge, and Allura, I’m keeping the mice forever! I hate you two!”
The mention of her birthday sends a twinge of pain through her chest, but the completely incensed look on Lance’s face is enough to keep it at bay. She hasn’t seen him so mad since she broke his hair straightener right before they had to go to a gala (where Lance was partnered up with Keith, although he’d rather shoot himself in the brain than admit that’s the real reason he was so pissy about it. But Pidge knows. She heard him bitching to Kaltenecker about it, and also she has a fucking working human brain and two eyes that can see, and Lance is not subtle).
“Best birthday present ever,” Pidge sighs, wiping a tear from her eye — a happy one, this time. She considers flicking it at Lance, but holds herself back when she realizes he might return her birthday present for real. Today has been kind of shitty, so far, but not shitty enough to forgo presents.
“What happened, dear?” Coran asks quietly, once they’ve all calmed down (and Lance has convinced him to switch spots so that he’s closest to the exit should any more…incidents occur).
Pidge sullens, a little, glancing down at her knees. It takes her a long moment to speak, but the rest of the team waits patiently for her.
“Matt said he was going to build a working particle accelerator with me on my fifteenth birthday,” she says quietly.
Keith is the first to soften, reaching over and squeezing her hand. “Your dad made a promise too, I’m guessing?”
She thought she was out of tears, but a new one gathers at the corner of her eye, burning a hot trail down to the tip of her nose, dripping onto the tiled floor. It’s so quiet that she can hear it plop.
“Yeah.” She sniffles. “He and Mom —” her voice cracks on her mother’s name, guilt making her stomach clench — “had something planned. They wouldn’t tell me what, just promising that it was going to make me smile for a month.” Her face crumples. “I’ll never know, I guess.”
Allura’s hand finds it’s way back to Katie’s back, rubbing it gently, soothingly.
“You’ll find out,” she assures.
Hunk hums in agreement. “It might take a while, but you’ll find out.”
Pidge wants to fight that, a little. They’ve been in space a whole year now, and she’s found absolutely nothing. Zilch. Not even a single lead that hasn’t been a dead end. Why should she believe them? Why should she believe that anything will be fixed, that her family is anything but dead?
But…they’re all looking at her so lovingly. So supportively. Even Lance, who she just harassed a little. All of them have soft, encouraging smiles on their faces, cramped with her here on the bathroom floor because she couldn’t stand on her own.
“Okay,” she agrees, barely above a decibel, but her team as no trouble hearing her. They all grin at her; Allura’s marks glowing, Coran’s moustache twinkling, Lance’s brown eyes shining, Hunk’s dimples showing, Keith’s crooked incisors peeking out, Shiro’s scar creasing. All of them smiling at her as proudly as they do when they fight off a Galran fleet. Like she is of equal measure to that, to them.
Happy birthday to me, she thinks to herself, and for the first time today she thinks it truly might be.
