Hi! Welcome to my FAQ page! Here is a list of the different questions I get asked fairly frequently or things I've had to address more than once.

✨ Can I tag you in my fics?

Did I ask to be tagged? Then no.💛

✨ Can I be added to your taglist?

I do not have a taglist. If you would like to be notified on when I post, follow my sideblog ( @sailoraviator-library ) and turn on post notifications. I will ignore requests asking to be put on a taglist from here on out.

✨ Do you have a posting schedule?

Not currently, no.

✨ Can I request something?

Yes! But please keep in mind that I might say no if I'm not interested or comfortable with the topic. Usually, I will send you over to an artist/writer who I think might be able to fulfill your request if I cannot.

✨ You haven't answered my ask/request/questions or updated my favorite story in a while. Why?

While I try to get to requests, sometimes the writing juice just isn't plentiful for an idea. Also, I'm a grown woman with a full time job, friends, family, and other hobbies/obligations outside of this blog. I travel for work which means at any given time, I'm sitting in a hotel room after multiple hours of driving. If I have time, I try to answer everything, but I also have (as of 4.9.24) 73 requests sitting in my inbox, with some from a couple of months ago. Please be patient.

✨ I want to write a story, but it's similar to yours. Is that okay?

Listen, my love, as long as it's not a complete ripoff of one of my stories, I really don't care what you write. You want to write about mermaids? Please do! You want to write about cursed pirates? Go ahead! The nature of AUs is that you are going to use similar tropes for the stories, and the nature of tropes is that you are going to have similarities to stories that use the same ones. There's only so many ways you can write a meet cute in a bar.

✨ Will you promote my fic?

I try to reblog fics I come across, and promote the ones from smaller authors as much as possible. However, that does not mean my blog is a billboard for you to promote your fics on. I was once a small time author, so I know how hard it can be to get your stuff out there. Shoving your work at me is a guaranteed way to get me to NOT read it and actively ignore it in the future.

✨ Why do you have so many WIPs (Works in Progress)? You know you probably won't finish all of those, right?

I do, and that's okay. That's the nature of writing fanfic, unfortunately. Not everything is going to get finished. You also have to understand that just because I haven't touched a story in a month or two doesn't mean it's been abandoned. The writing muses just haven't given me inspiration or motivation to write for it. I will make an announcement and take something off of my masterlist if I have decided to abandon it.

✨ What are some thing I can do to get my writing noticed?

Tag appropriately. I cannot tell you how many people are going to scroll past your writing if you tag a character fic with the actor (for example, tagging a Jake "Hangman" Seresin fic with Glen Powell). In fact, you are more likely to get yourself blocked versus someone reading your fic. Make use of the "Read More" feature on your fics. People are more likely to block you than read your fic if they have to scroll endlessly past your fics. People will find your fics by searching the appropriate tags. Just give it time.

✨ What are some things I should do when posting/writing?

Do NOT write real person fic. It's one thing to write about a character that doesn't exist, it's something else writing about a real life person who will suffer the consequences when people will inevitably mix reality with fiction. How would you feel if someone wrote a story about you where you did all of these things you'd never do?

Put appropriate trigger/content warnings above your fic. If you are going to write about sensitive topics, it is SO important that you warn people before they reach the story. Writing about losing a child, cancer, or sexual behavior? Tag it explicitely so people can filter it. Do not censor your warnings and do not use "angst" as a catch all. Allow people to protect themselves.

✨ I didn't like [insert fic here].

I literally don't care. Telling me you didn't like something instead of scrolling without a hateful comment makes you a loser, actually.

✨ Do you take non-fanfic related questions?

Yes!! I encourage them, actually! Never feel like you can't shoot me an ask that's not related to fanfic or fandom because I love chatting!! Even if you want to chat with me about fics, I'm more than happy to do so!

Hi all, just another roleplay finding request from this Welsh blondie. I have been concentrating on trying to find Supernatural only but have decided I need to add a few things on to that so here's my WANTED list for all fandoms, not just supernatural. 😱

RULES.

basic -> follow backs take a while to happen given I am mobile bound most of the time and like to look through your rules. on top of that I prefer a small mutual count to keep my dash clean and my sanity in tact. assume if I do not follow back after a week I am not interested. I also am multiverse, and love to fit my muses into any universe / setting, provided I know a little about your fandom (tho I'm always happy to learn)!

drama -> I do not care for it so keep me out of it. I am very much new to the fallout rpc so I have literally 0 knowledge about what goes on. if there is an issue I expect you to come to me privately to discuss it. I rarely reblog callouts, and if you are prone to drama then do not follow me. any anon hate I get will be deleted and said anon blocked.

I also use the block button when I break a mutual since Tumblr has glitches and can make you think you unfollowed someone when you didn't. it saves us both the trouble and awkwardness of a possible refollow. Idc about reblog karma either, nor do I mind if personals follow me. I just ask you don't reblog my threads.

General dni criteria applies. No racism, anti-lgbtqia+, bigotry. I won't write rape, incest nor underage scenarios either. Basically if you're a creep leave me and my blog the fuck alone, lol. Mun =/= Muse and do not godmod mine.

activity / writing -> I am very slow with replies, so please do not think my lack of a timely reply means I am disinterested. This is a sideblog, and I follow back from my main @grimmusings. Please direct IMs there, since it's easier for me to keep all my messages on one blog. It's also easier to start interactions with me there, where I regularly post open starters and meme prompts. For a full list of rules and verses, see my main. Honesty hour questions will largely be answered IC and treated as anonymous unless signed by a muse.

And now, some warnings! Brock is a villain, and I will be writing him as such. Even when he’s not actively being a villain, his interactions tend to be manipulative, abusive, and problematic af. This blog will feature content such as murder, torture, manipulation, gaslighting, abusive relationships, and some hit or miss loyalty to Hydra and/or Red Skull. If you’re not comfortable with those, that’s perfectly fine, but this isn’t the muse for you. I will check with you before anything major so we can better plot things out. Likewise, if you prefer to plot Brock’s death, I’m happy to work with you on that. Being a villain has consequences, but communication is key.

Please note that I do not write Hydra Trash Party, but I don't care if you choose to. I'm not into non-con, nor is Brock (for more on that, see my headcanons on Brock as a handler). However, my blogs are emphatically anti-censorship. If you don't understand the line between reality and fiction, we're not a good match.

default verses:

I’m happy to write Brock into AUs and fandom crossovers, but for ease, I typically write him in one of the following two verses.

mcu: An MCU-only verse where Brock joins the military at eighteen and works his way to Commander on a Navy SEALS team. He's in black ops when he's recruited by Hydra and sent to infiltrate SHIELD. I'm happy to pick up anywhere in this timeline, from his early days with SHIELD to his post-Hydra vengeance streak after Cap drops a building on him. If there's a redemption arc for Brock, it usually takes place in this verse.

616: A blend of MCU, comics, and headcanon where Crossbones was trained at Taskmaster's school for criminals before pledging loyalty to Red Skull during WWII, where he was given some version of the super soldier serum. He's fought for various organizations and villains over the decades before infiltrating SHIELD as a Hydra agent, where his timeline crosses over with the MCU. Brock is an unrepentant villain in this verse, and he's not interested in redemption.

I'm happy to write these, but since they're more specific AUs, I don't default on them for asks/memes.

running on empty: Same beginning as 616, but where Brock defects from Hydra at some point well before Insight for various reasons. He spends decades living on the run and fighting back at Hydra, is recaptured and tortured (where he receives the extensive scarring he has in the MCU), and escapes again to continue the fight.

hydra!verse: Insight is successful, and Hydra is able to take out all or most of their targets at once. Brock is promoted, and Hydra is on the verge of world domination, with only a few rebels left to fight back.

hydra!world: Earth-85826, where fascist dictator Armin Zola rules the world with Hydra.

wanted connections:

This is by no means a comprehensive list, and I can roll with most muses as far as basic interactions. I’m happy to ship Brock with other Marvel characters and OCs/fandom crossovers based on chemistry, but unless they’re on my OTP list, they need plotting and interaction first. There is never any pressure to ship with me, even if they’re on my list.

RULES :

• This blog is selective & low activity, meaning that I only write with mutuals for my own state of mind. I work and have a busy life outside of tumblr which takes priority, so I cannot write with everyone. I also do sometimes practice exclusivity, although I tend to be very picky about this: any portrayal to which I am mains or exclusive is listed on that particular muse’s page.

• I have several multi affiliates / mains listed above, who are my go-to blogs when it comes to muses. Their blogs are not total exclusives per se, but I will play favourites with these writers, especially as we have a number of ongoing dynamics and pairings that we write together.

• In addition to the muses listed below, I also have certain private/request muses that I do not actively feature on my official muse list below, but can be found on my more comprehensive muse page linked above. These are generally on the blog for specific writing partners, but I am still more than willing to write them with others if requested ( providing, of course, that I am not exclusive to another portrayal ). This also includes my OCs!

• This blog also acts as the main for my two Stranger Things sideblogs. You MUST be following this blog in order to interact with my Scoops Troop kids or El!

• Be aware that inspiration, not obligation, directs my muse to write, so do not expect me to be fast to write everyone on the blog. There will be some muses who are neglected in favour of others depending on where my mood or enthusiasm strikes.

• I do not care to see call out posts or any other kind of drama. I will unfollow and potentially block if I see it on my dash: I am here to write, not to engage in tumblr politics.

• I ship based on chemistry and, for the most part, I am open to them ( dependent on particular muse of course! ), however I do not automatically ship ‘canon’ pairings – chemistry must still be there first. Smut is only ever likely to be written with partners that I am comfortable with on an out of character level.

• I have no triggers, and I will endeavour to tag anything appearing on this blog that could come under that label, but be aware that due to the variety of muses featured on this blog, dark topics may crop up from time to time.

• Usual Tumblr etiquette applies. Please don’t godmod, don’t rush me on replies as I am very slow, please make sure meme replies are transferred over to a new post etc etc. Icons were made, although not capped by me, so please do not take them.

• If we are mutuals, I absolutely want to write with you! Hitting up my IMs for plotting is likely the easiest way to get something going with me, but sending a meme or liking a starter/interaction call absolutely works too!

About Me

Hiya! My name’s Val or Valentina, but you can pretty much call me whatever you want, or call me Dess if you like, since I try not to make too many ooc posts on here. I’m genderfluid and pretty much okay with any pronouns.

About the Blog

This is a blog focusing around Dess from Deltarune, including multiple versions of her. I follow back from @thewholesomebean and am open to roleplay with both mutuals and non-mutuals. However, I may not follow back depending on a blog’s content or how often I expect to interact with them.

Verses

Multiple verses are going to be used on the blog, and they are all listed in the tags section. More information on them can be found here.

Guest Muse

The Vessel is my one guest muse on here, and is available either on request or during events that may happen. If you’d like to speak with them, add a note in parentheses or brackets with “@ vessel”.

Events

There will be occaisional events on this blog, with some related to holidays and others being random ones dispersed throughout the year. Planned events are listed in the tags section.

Following & Blocking

I will not outright block someone unless they make me uncomfortable. Otherwise, I’ll just softblock and move on. However, whatever you want to do is entirely up to you, it’s your decision, not mine.

Writing Style

Asks directed towards Dess will be answered in quotation marks with Dess speaking. Responses to roleplay starters will be formatted in a third-person style, with dialogue bolded and thoughts italicized. Texts will be in brackets and will have the character’s name in front of them.

Activity

I’ll be somewhere around semi-active, but I will try to at least check the blog once a day and reblog some roleplay things. I may go through long periods of inactivity due to getting busy or burnt-out, but I’ll try to announce when those happen.

Boundaries

Despite my muse being an adult in some versions, I am a minor and will block anyone who sends me anything with 18+ content. Occasional PG-13 jokes or implications and such are allowed, but if it makes me uncomfortable, there is a chance I likely just ignore it unless it is extreme. Flirting towards my muse is acceptable so long as the character doing it is in a similar age range to that version of the muse.

Shipping

So long as it isn’t pedophilic, incestous, or toxic, I’m alright with shipping between my muse and anothers.

Content

There will be content including darker topics, though I will do my best to tag any potential triggers when they come up. If there is anything that you would like to be tagged, please send me an ask and I’ll be sure to do it.

My asks are open to anyone, though I’d prefer to not have too many asking questions about me. Personal questions can be directed towards my main blog. DMs are mutuals only, and I will not do any roleplaying in DMs.
