Since 1865, June 19th has been the annual Day of Jubilee marking the end of slavery in America. While the official date was marked with the enactment of the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, the news was not heard in Texas until June 19, 1865. Celebrations broke out spontaneously and the day became a yearly event.

If you live in Texas and believe that women should have reproductive rights and the right to basic healthcare and privacy, then you need to start supporting the right charities and get involved with politics. Abortion is healthcare. Not every pregnancy is live and able to make it to term. It's not as rare as you think and some are an extreme risk to the mother's health.

Texas, you have a huge problem with guns. An issue that the governor and mayor doesn't seem to be concerned about. Because it's actually mental health that's to blame for the shootings, not guns. But sure, THIS is what you should be prioritizing right now. Making it harder for people to receive medical treatment.
