things that stand out to me about the yr s3 poster
obviously the BROKEN CROWN ABOVE WILLE’S HEAD!!! can signify wille going for abdication and/or the end of conforming to antiquated traditions and standards, which is more or less what the monarchy represents
wille and simon both appear to be staring directly into the camera (hello fourth wall break ilysm), could potentially represent the public scrutiny they’re going to be facing this season
august is ignoring the camera, he’s looking at sara instead!!
sara is staring in felice’s direction, and felice staring in sara’s direction, but their eyes never meet. rather, both of them are staring out into the distance
interestingly enough, felice and wille are the only ones completely in focus. august is very much visible, but not as much as felice and wille are. simon is out of focus, but not so blurred that you can’t see his features or his expression. finally, sara is not only out of focus, but she’s also the most blurred.
+ felice’s face is still angled towards the camera. you can see her well! but sara is turned completely to the side on top of being out of focus
the purple light is hugely hitting the faces of simon, wille, and felice! it’s not as prominent on august, and it just barely skims the top of sara’s head.

Tbh I really like how clone high handles romantic relationships in new episodes
Frida and Cleo?
They had a lot of teasing in spring broken and then Frida's handling of her attraction to Cleo is hilarious ALSO YEAH KHALOPATRA CANON BAYBEE
I also like how super casual the show is about the fact that yea, they're sapphic. It's nice.
Harriet and Confucius?
To be honest I think their relationship is kinda bland BUT I like them both enough to be happy for them and them making it a big deal of getting together seems in character.
Joan and JFK?
Their break up kinda seemed inevitable to me at that point. The way it was handled is actually satisfying imo. Still sucks because they were actually really enjoyable as a couple but oh well
Not sure if I like the idea of Abe and Joan getting together tho but it seems the show pushes it that way. Oh well, we'll see.
Also seeing Topher fans freak out is hilarious
"Its harder and harder to like him" my brother in christ, his whole character is basically making fun of performative allies. Him being unlikable creep is the point

I will be nice, and will send you the "doing a pinky swear" instead 💞
“You know,” Eddie’s tone was droll as he spoke. “Given the state of my last marriage, I thought I would be the one having a panic attack the night before our wedding.”
Buck glared up at his fiancé from where he was hiding behind the couch. It was hard, to hide as a six-foot something man, but he’d done his best, squeezing himself behind their new green couch. There weren’t many places to hide in their house – not least of all because they weren’t done unpacking yet.
Whose idea was it to get married and move house in the same month?
“That’s not funny,” Buck huffed.
“It is, a bit,” Eddie hummed, stepping over Buck so he could sit down on the floor across from him. “So,” he said, folding his legs underneath him carefully. “Are you going to tell me why you’ve been acting like you’re headed for the guillotine and not the altar tomorrow?”
“We’re not having a church wedding, there’s no altar,” Buck mumbled. He knew he was being pedantic. Being pedantic meant that he was saved from having a big emotional conversation he didn’t feel like having with the man he was going to marry in the morning.
“It’s a metaphor,” Eddie didn’t sound offended. “Come on. Penny for your thoughts and all that.”
Right.
Okay.
So, there was no escaping this conversation.
“It’s not that I don’t want to marry you,” Buck blurted out, wide-eyed as he looked at Eddie.
“Okay,” Eddie said, drawing out the word. “I didn’t think you didn’t want to marry me.”
“You might, after I say what I’m going to say,” Buck admitted. “So that’s why I had to say it first. I want to marry you, Eddie.”
“But?”
“It’s not a but, not really,” Buck paused, for a second, trying to think of a way to said what he wanted to say without hurting Eddie’s feelings. He didn’t want to hurt his feelings or cause a fight the night before their wedding. “I just – I’m terrified, Eddie.”
“What are you terrified of?”
That was the question, wasn’t it?
Buck was scared of a lot of things – he was man enough to admit that – and most of all, he was scared of messing his relationship with Eddie up. Loving Eddie was the greatest privilege of his life, and Buck wanted to love him for the rest of his life: but it’s not as if Buck had been surrounded by examples of the healthiest relationships growing up. He’d never learned how you might be a good partner, a good husband.
He was terrified he’d go nuclear one day, and ruin it all.
“I’m so afraid I’m going to mess this up,” Buck admitted, wiping roughly at his already watery eyes. It wasn’t going to take much to push him over the edge, was it? “I – I’m terrified that I’m not going to be able to be the husband you deserve. That we’ll – that we’ll get married, and build a life together, and it’ll all implode anyway.”
Eddie was quiet, for a second. “I can’t sit here and promise you what life is going to look like for us in ten, or fifteen, or fifty years,” he admitted. “I wish I could tell you that nothing is ever going to go wrong. But I’d be lying – because I don’t know.”
“That’s the bit that scares me,” Buck said, his lip starting to wobble. “That I’m going to give this everything and it mightn’t work out in the end.”
“It mightn’t,” Eddie relented, though the look in his eyes made Buck think that Eddie didn’t really believe in the possibility of it not working out. “But it might. You’ve got to remember that, too, baby,” he reassured. “Look. I can’t see the future, I can’t tell you what’s going to happen tomorrow, or in a year – but I can promise you one thing, Evan Buckley, and that’s that you and I will never stop trying to make this, us, work.”
Buck sniffed back his tears. “You promise?”
Eddie grinned, offering out his pinky finger. “I pinky promise.”
Buck laughed wetly. “You’re such an idiot,” he teased, but he wrapped his pinky finger around Eddie’s. Even in the dim light of their dark living room, Eddie was beautiful – his hair was soft, and free of product, and he was wearing a shirt that Buck knew belonged to him, the material stretched out and worn at the elbows. He was beautiful, in the way he looked, but also in the way he smiled at Buck, kind and genuine and reassuring, more than Buck ever deserved to call his.
“But you love me,” Eddie grinned cheekily.
“I do,” Buck nodded. “I do – I really, really do Eddie. You know that, right?”
“I know,” Eddie shrugged, keeping hold of Buck’s pinky finger. “Do you – promise me that we’ll always talk, when you – or I – feel like this. Because I – I think we can figure anything out, if we talk about it, but I need you to talk to me about it.”
“I promise,” Buck sighed. “I’m sorry I freaked out.”
“Don’t be,” Eddie said. “I’m glad you freaked out tonight – not in the morning. I want you to be excited in the morning.”
“I’m excited, baby,” Buck reassured.
“I know, I’m just teasing,” Eddie pressed a kiss to the tip of Buck’s pinky finger. “It’s your last night as a free man, after all.”
Buck had heard the joke – before they were ever engaged, and so many more times since they’d gotten engaged, and even more, in the weeks leading up to their wedding. The thing was – Buck had never been freer than when he was with Eddie. It was cheesy, but it was true – and he couldn’t wait to be a married man.
He told Eddie as much.
Eddie’s eyes were glassy, as he smiled at Buck. “You’ve got to save the soppiness for your vows,” he joked, but he squeezed Buck’s finger again. “You feeling okay, now?”
Buck nodded. “Can we stay here five minutes longer, though?”
Eddie’s smile was going to light up the rest of Buck’s fucking life. “We can stay here as long as you want, Buck.”
send me a touching prompt

rambling so i don’t forget to later
okay so i draw frida x ludwig stuff a LOT but i realized i never actually went into detail abt their story so i’m just gonna give the most basic ass summary of it…just a warning this is probably gonna be long LMAO
i had thought of a few different ideas, some of them i realized were already done, didn’t make any sense, or just kinda w e i r d. but then i finally came up with something that i can have a lot of fun with.
something related to mario kart.
it’s an enemies/rivals to lovers story, and i think it’d be a decent way of throwing the little gooby frida into the mario universe (i’ll make a whole thing abt her and her lore later).
technically every mario kart race never has the same list of characters, so there’s gotta be some sort sponsorship or something for the racers that are in each grand prix. i have 0 knowledge of how it works so i’m not gonna try to bullshit my way through it.
so since there’s different characters for each race, including miis, throwing frida in there would work. her main inspiration for racing to begin with would stem from seeing her old man in a lot of those races, he was brought back many times and she wanted to be just like him.
so what happens ?
ludwig would be one of the few racers that was brought back a few years in a row. the idiot would probably not race fair at all but nobody would have solid proof of it. he isn’t concerned at all whenever there’s newbies joining the race, he’d even taunt frida about how she has no chance.
so imagine his surprise when she steals first place from him on the first race, therefore destroying his winning streak. nobody saw it coming, but holy hell was it refreshing for someone else to win a race for once. and that’s how their rivalry began.
he thought it’d be bad having to deal with her on the track, but it’s even worse for him since all the racers have to be in the same hotel in between the races. the races are about a week or so apart, since every track location was different. they fought on the track, and in the hotel. they enjoyed bothering each other. the two never noticed they were slowly falling for each other, but everyone else could see it.
they do slowly start warming up to each other. but what the idiots don’t realize is that they both won first place. they both got first for two races, second for the other two, but they were too busy trying to destroy each other to notice. so when they were both on the same pedestal, holding their own trophies, they realize that the other isn’t so bad. they started to actually get to know one another outside of the prix.
