Logistics: The Buttress of Supply Chain Management
Supply Chain Management is the management of goods and services from their origin to the consumers. It involves all the processes of transforming raw material into a finished product which is ready for consumption. Supply chain management is an umbrella term used for the processes like shipping of raw materials to manufacturing plants, storage in warehouses, delivery to the end-users, conducting returns, customer relations, and much more.

✰ sypnosis: your relationship with hyunjin was steady at the moment, until a large ripple occurs and it gets hard, but it’s all okay, he’s here.
masterlist | requests open!
Tumblr media
after one last kiss, you finally patted hyunjin on the thigh, signaling him to let go of you.
with a low whine, he released your waist from his vice-like grip, smiling with slightly swollen pink lips that made you want to kiss him again.
“bye bye, my lovely y/n.” he sang while you walked to the door, smiling sweetly at him.
you made sure you weren’t being followed.
being an idol meant the fans could never find out about your relationship with hyunjin. not if you wanted death threats or creepy stans.
you grabbed a drink at a random place, and stopped at your apartment.
your phone was ringing the whole way up, though you made sure to check it once you got home.
you audibly gasped the second you opened the phone. photos of you flashed across the screen, from just a few hours ago, heading to hyunjin’s house.
your blood turned cold. they had pieces together everything.
it wasn’t a secret anymore. the picture collages of you and hyunjin ran through your mind like a freight train, along with all the comments, your members worried voices over the phone, and the way the company would react.
oh my god, what if they terminate my contract?
your tears flowed down your cheeks out of nowhere, unbothered rivulets of your sadness washing away.
you never meant for this to happen, this wasn’t supposed to happen.
you only realized that you practically ruined hyunjin’s career when videos of fans sending protest trucks flashed on you for you page, the messages making you sob harder.
the knocks on the door didn’t even register in your brain until you heard his frantic voice, your sobs growing louder as you ran to the door as fast as your feet could take you, slamming it open and falling into his arms.
those arms. the ones ready to take you in, the ones ready to comfort you. he wasn’t mad at you.
“shhh…there there. you saw, huh?”
you nodded, ignoring the worried voices of your members in the call behind you. they still had a little while before they reached; you were in japan other than korea to follow solo schedules.
hyunjin hummed your favorite song in an attempt to calm you down. something about seeing you cry broke something inside of him; hyune knew he couldn’t bear it and it wouldn’t take long until he started crying with you.
your members’ voices quieted in the background, it was just you and him, hyunjin and you. nothing else mattered, you didn’t care about anything else.
he kissed your cheeks to rid the tears, smiling at you and playing with your hands.
“i-i ruined everything. your career…everything!” you cried out, breathing was getting harder.
“no…no. i’ll be okay. you’ll be okay, and we’ll be okay, yeah? everything will work out. it’ll be hard, but it’ll be okay.” hyunjin sighed, thinking while wrapping his arms around your drawn-in frame.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
stays cheered in ecstacy, hyunjin taking the mic from one of the members. even though you had told him it was risky, he had told you to come to the concert.
so there you were, center row, with a lightstick and jointer in your hands, a wide smile gracing your pretty features.
hyunjin cleared his throat, and the crowd quieted. “um, so i guess you guys have heard the rumors about me and y/n, and i want to address them.” the crowd gasped collectively.
“they’re true. i love her, this isn’t going to be a short one month, two month thing either. i want forever with her.” he smiled at the other members, and chan sniffled a little, felix running to comfort him.
“i want you to respect our decision. i would really appreciate it. thank you.” he gulped.
the crowd was silent, all eyes on you.
then they cheered.
you grinned, tears shining in the corner of your eyes. it would all be okay.
hyunjin may be a little obsessed, as you were with him, but it’s alright. he admits it, and you have to admit it too.
hyunjin was yours. only yours, and you believed in happily ever after with him.

Lyhyehköt selitykset jokaisesta rataosasta lue lisää -linkin alla. Ehdottomasti saa mainostaa rebloggauksissa itselleen tärkeitä paikkakuntia jotka saisivat matkustajajunaliikenteen takaisin!
Short-ish explanations for each route under the cut. Advertising towns that are important to you that would regain passenger connections are encouraged!
Tuomioja–Raahe
Tumblr media
Raahen asema/Raahe station. Santeri Viinamäki, Wikimedia Commons
Raahen rautatie, eli sivurata Pohjanmaan radan Tuomiojan asemalta Raaheen, avattiin yksityisen rautatieyhtiön toimesta vuonna 1899. Rautatie myytiin Valtionrautateille vuonna 1926. Matkustajaliikenne radalla lopetettiin vuonna 1966; tavaraliikenne jatkuu edelleen. Rata sähköistettiin vuonna 2001. Raahe on ainoa merkittävä asutuskeskus joka tulisi raideliikenteen piiriin.
Raahe railroad, a spur line from the Pohjanmaa line's Tuomioja station to Raahe, was opened by a private company in 1899. The line was sold to Valtionrautatier in 1926. Passenger services were closed in 1966. Freight services continue on the line to this day. The line was electrified in 2001. Raahe itself is the only notable town along the line.
Jyväskylä–Haapajärvi
Tumblr media
Potmon rautatiesilta Kannonkoskella/Potmo railway bridge at Kannonkoski. Kotivalo, Wikimedia Commons
The line between Jyväskylä and Haapajärvi was built in numerous phases; the first, Jyväskylä to Suolahti, was opened alreay in 1898, but the final segment between Varanen and Keitelepohja only in 1960. Passenger services north of Saarijärvi were terminated in 1968, north of Äänekoski in 1978 and finally between Jyväskylä and Ääneskoski in 1987. The route is not electrified, but freight services continue. Ääneskoski, Saarijärvi and Pihtiputaa are the most notable habitations along the route with no passenger train services.
Lahti–Heinola
Tumblr media
Vierumäen asema/Vierumäki station. Psl10i, Wikimedia Commons
Lahden ja Heinolan välinen rautatie avattiin vuonna 1932. Matkustajaliikenne lakkautettiin vuonna 1968.
The line between Lahti and Heinola was opened in 1932. Passenger services ended in 1968, but the route is still used in freight services; it has not been electrified. Vierumäki and Heinola itself are the only notable towns along the route that would regain passenger train services.
Joensuu–Ilomantsi
Tumblr media
Ilomantsin asema/Ilomatsi station. Suomen rautatiemuseo
Pitkään suunniteltu Ilomantsin rautatie avattiin liikenteelle vuonna 1967. Ilomantsi on ainoa asutuskeskus radan varrella.
The long-planned line to Ilomantsi was opened in 1967, but passenger services were closed already the next year. The line remains in freight use, and it is not electrified. Ilomantsi itself is the only town along the route.
Lahti–Loviisa
Tumblr media
Loviisan asema/Loviisa station. Suomen rautatiemuseo
Rautatie Loviisaan rakennettiin alkujaan yksityisomisteisen Loviisa–Wesijärvi-rautatien toimesta kapearaiteisena vuonna 1900.
The railway to Loviisa was originally build as a narrow-gauge line by the privately owned Loviisa–Wesijärvi railroad, opened in 1900. Valtionrautatiet bought the line in 1956, and it was rebuilt in the 1524 mm gauge in 1960. Passenger services ended in 1970. Freight services have largely ceased too, and the line is not electrified. Orimattila and Loviisa are the only towns actually along the line that would regain a passenger train connection.
Kerava–Porvoo
Tumblr media
Porvoon asema/Porvoo station. Mikkoau, Wikimedia Commons
Kerava–Porvoo-rautatie on yksi alkujaan yksityisvaroin rakennetuista rautateistä.
The Kerava–Porvoo line is another route built by private investors. It was opened in 1874 and sold to Valtionrautatiet in 1917. Passenger services ended in 1981 and freight services between Olli and Porvoo ceased in 1990. The line between Kerava and Olli is electrified, used by freight trains to the Sköldvik oil refinery. The segment between Olli and Porvoo is non-electrified and used only by museum trains. Nikkilä, Hinthaara and Porvoo are the biggest villages/towns along the line, though the vicinity to Helsinki would also make construction of entirely new towns around a new station possible.
Hyvinkää–Karjaa
Tumblr media
Lohjan asema/Lohja station. Eelisp, Wikimedia Commons
The track between Hyvinkää and Karjaa was opened as a part of the longer, privately owned Hyvinkää–Hanko railroad in 1973. The line was not a success and was taken over by the state already in 1975. Passenger services between Hyvinkää and Karjaa ceased in 1983 (Karjaa–Hanko passenger services were never closed, although they are currently suspended due to electrification works), freight services continue to this day. Electrification is due to be completed in 2024. Lohja, Nummela and Rajamäki are the biggest towns along the route that would have passenger services restored.
Kokemäki–Rauma
Tumblr media
Rauman asema/Rauma station. Mikkoau, Wikimedia commons.
The Rauma–Kokemäki line was originally the only municipally owned railway company in Finland; the line was built in 1897 (there have been other municipally owned lines, but Rauma Railroad was the only railway company owned by a municipality). The City of Rauma sold the railroad to Valtionrautatiet in 1950. Passenger services ceased in 1950, but freight services remain busy to this day. The line was electrified in 1998. Kiukainen and Rauma are the only population centres of note along the line that would regain a passenger connection.
Siilinjärvi–Viinijärvi
Tumblr media
Juankosken asema/Juankoski station. Timo Lappi, Suomen rautatiemuseo.
Rata on sähköistämätön.
The Siilinjärvi–Viinijärvi line connects the northern part of the Savo line to the Pieksämäki–Joensuu route. The connection was built in segments; the oldest part was opened in 1927, the newest in 1970. Passenger services were only operated briefly in 1984-89, freight services continue. The track is not electrified. (Re)starting passenger services between Kuopio and Joensuu using the Siilinjärvi–Viinijärvi line has been studied in 2013 and 2020, but with no concrete results. Juankoski, Kaavi and Outokumpu are the largest population centres along the route.
Nurmes–Kontiomäki
Tumblr media
Vuokatin asema/Vuokatti station. Museovirasto.
Nurmeksen ja Kontiomäen välinen rata on osa Karjalan radan pohjoista jatketta Joensuusta Kontiomäelle. Rata valmistui osissa vuosina 1910–1929. Koko rataosa on sähköistämätön. Merkittävät rautatieliikenteen piiriin tulevat taajamat olisivat Valtimo ja Vuokatti.
The Nurmes–Kontiomäki line is a part of the northern extension of the Karelia line from Joensuu to Kontiomäki. The route was built in segments between 1910 and 1929. Passenger services north of Nurmes were discontinued in 1993, but continue of the southern part of the line. There is limited freight service on the Nurmes–Kontiomäki segment, and the whole route is not electrifies. Valtimo and Vuokatti are the largest population centres that would regain a rail connection.
Turku–Uusikaupunki
Tumblr media
Kalarannan seisake Uudenkaupungin keskustassa / the Kalaranta halt in central Uusikaupunki. Mikko Ahvenlampi, Suomen rautatiemuseo.
Rautatie Turusta Uuteenkaupunkiin avattiin liikenteelle vuonna 1924. Raisio tosin saattaa saada matkustajaliikenteen takaisin jo aiemmin, sillä VR suunnittelee Helsinki–Turku-junien reitin jatkamista Naantaliin (Naantalin rata eroaa Uudenkaupungin radasta Raision aseman pohjoispuolella).
The railway from Turku to Uusikaupunki was opened in 1924. Passenger services terminated in 1993, but freight services continue and the line was electrified in 2022. Restoring passenger services had been a subject to public discussion, but nothing concrete has happened to date. Raisio, Masku and Uusikaupunki would be the largest population centres to regain passenger connections. Raisio may get their passenger connection restored soon, as VR are planning to extend the route of Helsinki–Turku passenger trains to Naantali (and the spur to Naantali branches off the Uusikaupunki line just north of Raisio station).

Background Events: Persona Experimentation
Unethical experimentation on Persona Users has been happening since the beginning. But how has it evolved until now?
Warning: Some speculation will be involved.
TW: Human Experimentation
The Beginning
We don't have an exact date for when experiments related to Personas and the Collective Unconscious began. Phil and Nyarly's bet had been going for some time by the time IF took place. However, if we had to place a true beginning to the experiments, we would have to go with Stephen and the Demon Summoning Program. Along with Kyouji Kuzunoha, he's the only SMT character who's also canon to Persona. Makes sense, considering his weird transcendent nature. The tale may vary between franchises, but the Persona version goes like this:
By unknown means, Stephen managed to create the Terminal System to travel through computer networks. Since he's in a wheelchair in IF, then this Stephen also managed to connect to the Expanse (located in the Collective Unconscious) with the Terminal System. Since he didn't have a way to communicate with the demon who crossed and no Persona to defend himself, Stephen was was attacked and subsequentaly crippled. All of this had to have happened before 1996 for the timeline to make sense (Side Note: This also tells a lot about Stephen, since the incident had the perfect conditions for an Awakening).
The incident led Stephen to create the Demon Summoning Program, probably for personal use, since there was no upcoming war to prepare to (that Stephen could have known of). For some unknown reason, Stephen chose to upload the only copies of the program in the computers of Karukozaka High School. Was he an alumni? Did Stephen realize teens had more probability of connecting with the Expanse? Were Karu High's computers just that good? Who knows. Only Hazama and Tamaki took the program serious enough to use it, even if it was against each other. But that's a story for another time.
Like St. Hermelin would in a few months, Karu High briefly made the news before the entire incident was forgotten. That is highly suspicious on itself. My assumption is that there truly were some experimentation going on before this, amd they made sure to silence the press and make sure the students didn't snitch. Since Tamaki managed to hide among the student population as another victim (probably with Stephen's help), they never questioned her on her abilities nor disappeared her.
But who are they? Well...
SEBEC
The first formal organization seeking to gain a foothold in the Collective Unconscious was the Japanese branch of SEBEC, leadered by Takahisa Kandori. Their story goes like this:
When Kandori took over as head branch of SEBEC, they began to undertake the creation of a device capable of transporting matter from one place to another. Kind of like a portal. This had the main objective of helping to lower freight costs of imports and exports. Maybe even erasing them entirely. Key contributors were Setsuko Sonomura (an engineering specialist) and Dr. Nicholai (a scientist). Kandori kept the project so under wraps that those involved basically lived in the installations. Together they created the Dimension Variable Accelerator System, or DEVA System. However, they also pulled a Backrooms and accidentally connected to the Collective Unconscious.
It is probably at this point that Kandori awoke to his Persona, which was hijacked by the real Nyarlathotep. And thus, Kandori became a puppet in The Great Bet while believing he was achieving world domination or something like that. "But, Kati," I can hear you saying, "all of that was about the Collective Unconscious. Aside from Kandori, there were no Persona Users working with SEBEC".
Oh? OH? So quickly you forget about him?
Tumblr media
Takeda. The man, the myth, the barely remembered NPC. All we know about him is that he is Kandori's right-hand man, the head of security at SEBEC and a Persona User. We don't even know what his Persona is, only that its couldn't handle the combined forces of the St. Hermelin students. His existence does imply something deeper: SEBEC is already employing Persona Users to their cause. They probably didn't know much about the phenomena (understandable, since they had just finished the DEVA System) and didn't have a definitive way of figuring out who could be a User and who couldn't. For all they knew this could be random. And so, a not-so-stellar security guard rose to become the second-hand man of the main antagonist. Just because he had the same power as him.
As we know, Kandori and SEBEC failed. But what was the fate of the staff that worked on the DEVA System? What about the little knowledge of the Collective Unconscious they had?
New World Order
Due to Nyarly's meddling, the NWO was founded in 1979 after they found Kiyotada Sumaru's head. They might have had supernatural advice from an ancient head and the backup of one of the most powerful beings in the Persona Universe, but no real Persona Users. Not one of those people had their shit together. The closest thing they had was Chizuru Ishigami, who was a sorcerer (most probable given true power by the Rumor Curse). When the time was right, we can assume Nyarly guided them to the remnants of Kandori's fuck up. The NWO revived Kandori and began their recruitment of the now-lost scientists and inventors. The NWO gave more freedom to their researchers than SEBEC did, which eventually led to the beginning of true human experimentation.
We don't see the worst of it unless you play Tatsuya's Scenario, where the hints they leave us are enough to call for a second Doctors' Trial.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yikes. And this was only one known experiment.
Like SEBEC before them, the NWO also fell. But they weren't the only ones running supernatural and unethical experiments in 1999.
Kirijo Group
With the creation of the Dark Hour, demons shadows weren't only a danger of the Collective Unconscious anymore, at least, as far as the Kirijo Group knew. Now those in the know had to watch themselves every night to avoid being attacked by them. They couldn't always rely on the perfected version of the Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons. That must have been the moment when they began to hear rumors of supernatural events in Sumaru City, which led them to the crumbling NWO.
As it turns out, the entire Death Incident a couple of months ago left a huge vacancy for their supernatural research division. And these guys seem like they have fresh ideas that might just solve their self-created problem! A secret scramble must have taken place where the Nanjo and Kirijo Groups tried to covet all the info and personnel that had anything to do with the NWO. Those who weren't important enough to know the truth behind Kiyotada Sumaru's head and their self-proclaimed high-class greatness could have become the precursors of the Conspiracy.
And so, the Kirijo Group now had better scientists, inventors and researchers than before, and more willing to dab on unethical territory. With the need for defense, the former NWO scientists must have suggested they try to create their own Persona Users, like the ones who kept barging into their labs back in Sumaru. Thing is, no one there knew how a Persona User came to be. They did seem to have the power to control a shadow to do their bidding... maybe all they had to do was link (whatever that meant) a human with a shadow. The survivors of these experiments would become bodyguards for the Kirijo Group's excursions to Tartarus. No one would last long, though.
Skip a couple of years and the unexpected happened:
Tumblr media
A natural Persona Awakening.
Note was taken of the factors that had to do with the event: the User was a child and she had been in a highly stressful situation. This is how the Kirijo Group rounded up the 100 children they would experiment on to create Artificial Persona Users. All of them dying except for three: Takaya Sakaki, Jin Shirato and Chidori Yoshino (and Sho Minazuki). This violation to the Nuremberg Code probably fell to the side when Mitsuru found and recruited two natural Persona Users on her own. Nothing like flushing dozens of children's lives down the toilet.
We must remember that the Kirijo Group didn't know everything about Personas, and so believed that the stressful situation with a dash of fear of death was necessary every time the User wanted fo summon their Persona. And so Evokers were created. Better not think of the trial and error that led to those inventions. Nor the one that helped create Persona Suppressants.
Who cares if three failed lab rats ran away? Now the Kirijo Group had true Persona Users with them.
A lot happened after that, but that is a story for another day. What about the hypothetical precursors to the Conspiracy formed from the high-profile members of the NWO? The ones that fell through the cracks during the power vacuum?
The Antisocial Force
For once, this wasn't Nyarly's fault. The basic rich bitches would have remained basic rich bitches if it wasn't for Yaldabaoth. The creation of the Shadow Operatives and the less restrictive hold on Kirijo Group employees probably made all that Persona and Collective Unconscious experimentation more of an open secret in the science community. And like hypnosis, this is one secret that most didn't believe until they witnessed it themselves. Not all were skepticals, and those interested were recruited by Masayoshi Shido for the creation of the Antisocial Force.
They would be the new oppressive entity in this area, suppressing information and giving stitches to snitches. This wouldn't stop "Cognitice Psience" from becoming an increasingly popular field. Who knows what kind of experiments happened in and out of the Antisocial Force. They couldn't have been the only ones.
If there is one thing the new Kirijo Group managed to contain, was the knowledge of the creation of Persona Users. The Antisocial Force didn't even have the research from the original NWO scientists that would help them create Artificial Users. Yaldy had to put an already-Awakened Goro Akechi in Shido's path for them to have a User. And even with an actual User, they couldn't replicate the circumstances that could have helped create more. I doubt Akechi was very helpful with that, though. Can't have any potential substitutes for his job.
Nah, the Antisocial Force's forte would never be Persona Users, but rather humanity's cognition.
So, what was the order of events?
Stephen created the Terminal System and began working on the Demon Summoning Program.
SEBEC began working on the DEVA System.
Stephen completed the Demon Summoning Program.
SEBEC finished the DEVA System and, after Kandori's Awakening, began to recruit Persona Users (at least one other than Kandori).
After SEBEC's fall, the New World Order recruited the staff that worked in the DEVA System.
The NWO began to experiment with demons and humans.
The Kirijo Group hired all the scientists and inventors from the NWO.
The Kirijo Group began to create Artificial Persona Users.
After Mitsuru's Awakening, the Kirijo Group focused on children experimentation.
The Antisocial Force began to recruit experts in cognitive psience for personal experiments.

“How did we end up here?” Clint asks, tying off his wound with a ripped sheet.
“You don’t remember?” Natasha looks up from her own triage, alarmed.
“No, I do,”
“We took rode a motorcycle through the streets for ten miles until we reached a train, hopped on a freight car, rode that for two hours, then jumped off at the first major terminal, walked for fifteen minutes,”
“I mean, here, in general. In this situation.”
“Oh. We are both trained assassins atoning for our sins by joining a secret government organization. Are you sure you’re feeling okay?”
“Great. Thanks.”
“But if you mean how we came to be assassins, I’d say we played the best we could with the hand we were dealt.”

Haunted House
Wakatoshi Ushijima x Reader
Flufftober Day 4: Haunted House
~ you hoped you would really be able to scare your boyfriend at this haunted house, but it really came back to bite you in the butt.
Tumblr media
The grip you have on Your boyfriend's massive hands is deathly, but he seems unfazed as he drags you through the hallowed halls of the haunted house.
Another actor jumps out at you and you hide your face in his sleeve in fear. Wakatoshi stands strong, unblinking, and unemotional as he stares over at the man currently dressed as a masked killer.
His olive eyes drift downward to the chainsaw the man is currently waving at you. Gently brushing back a strand of your disheveled hair from your face he speaks. “Y/n, this chainsaw can’t hurt you, it doesn’t have a chain in it.” He says it’s so kindly that you wanna punch him. But you have no one to blame but yourself for your current situation…
It all started the other night when the two of you were watching One of your favorite scary movies. He had never seen it before and so you were hoping to give him a little freight during one of the jump scare scenes.
But by the time the scare came and went, his expression stayed just as passive while you once again sprang from your seat in surprise.
‘Some people are just good with scary movies’ You thought to yourself, ‘Maybe if he was jumped at in real life he would react.’
This led to you buying tickets to one of the city's most famous haunted houses, this warehouse features dozens of rooms and scene changes that lead visitors through a maze of horror. But now you’re the one getting scared and not your boyfriend.
“Do you want to keep going? You look uncomfortable.” He asks.
You really don’t want to keep going, the jump scares this far have put you on the edge, The beating of your heart seems to shake your body and your legs are feeling a bit weak. But you are motivated by curiosity and a little bit of spite. Wakatoshi Ushijima has never been spooked before. You have to see what he would look like.
You clear your throat and look up at him with the termination. “ yeah, I’m ready. Let’s go.” He nods and the two of you step further into the building.
Even though there are other people making their way through the house, it’s quiet. Artificial fog fills the air as it bounces off the dimly lit walls.
There is a sinister chill that grows on you more and more as you make your way through the house. Your previous determination figures like a candle in the wind as you find yourself shivering. It’s much colder in here than it was in the line.
At least you have Wakatoshi with you, he stands tall and his body radiates heat that makes you cling to him more. "Are you sure you're not afraid?"
You say nothing and continue to follow behind him leaving the sounds of screaming and revving chainsaws behind you.
The next scene you make it to looks like a doll house, everything is frilly, pink, and, pristine. Its innocence is unnerving in a way the other rooms were not.
Your shoulders tense as you scan the room trying to find the horror hiding amongst the unblinking porcelain dolls.
"I don't see anything in here," you mumble "Maybe the actor is on break?"
Ushijima hums and looks around, "I see, then we should move on.”
You take an all too eager step toward the exit and suddenly an airy giggle fills the room
"Are you leaving me already?'
Your eyes dart around anxiously trying to find where it's coming from until something catches your eye. A large doll, no, a puppet ascends from the ceiling on two large silk ropes. Its cracked features and sickeningly sweet grin strike a new type of fear in your heart. There are no sounds that you could utter that would be fitting of how you are feeling.
Your legs give out from under you.
Now on the floor, you look up at your boyfriend who looks down on you with a look of worry.
“Are you alright?” he asks gently crouching down to your level. As the actor apologizes for scaring you so badly behind him.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine." You murmur trying to catch your breath.
"You hold out your hand for him to help you up, but he opts instead to just scoop your scared self off of the carpeted floor and holds you in his arms.
"You scared me," he says softly "I'm gonna keep you close so we can get out of here."
"You were sacred?" you say cracking a bit of a smile.
Your legs may feel numb, and you have been tormented by clowns, killers, corpses, and dolls for the past hour, but you finally did it. You scared Wakatoshi Ushijima. you giggle a bit and nestle yourself into his strong chest. and you giggle triumphantly.
"What's so funny?" he asks confusedly.
"It's nothing," you smile "Let's get out of here."
~
Once you make it through the house and out the exit he places you on the ground.“ I found that quite enjoyable,” he says cupping your cheek.
“Why?“ You pout, “The house didn't scare you at all.”
“I wasn’t scared, but you were.“ he says, his lips turn upwards with the smallest hint of a smile. “ I enjoyed having you in my arms like that, I think that we should do it more often.“

Amtrak expansion comment period ends tomorrow! (march 8 2024)
you can leave your comment here
This will restore service to places that used to have passenger trains, and add trains to exisiting routes to make service daily instead of just alternating days. it would also add new routes (in green, below)
bulletin from railroad workers united:
Tumblr media
The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is conducting an Amtrak Daily Long-Distance Service Study to evaluate the restoration of daily long-distance intercity rail passenger service and the potential for new Amtrak long-distance routes. This study will ultimately create a long-term vision for long-distance passenger rail service and identify capital projects and funding needed to implement that vision. The initial proposal would add 15 long-distance routes, serving 61 additional metropolitan areas to create a true national network. The FRA is seeking public input by Friday, March 8. After public comment, the FRA will make capital and operating cost estimates, and make recommendations to Congress. This Amtrak expansion plan has been 50 years in the making and of course, should have been executed in the 1970s or 1980s. Amtrak has survived against endless budget cuts, threats to eliminate various trains, micro-managing by Congress on food service options, and attempts to dismantle or privatize parts or even its entire system. So this is a huge step forward. That said, the forces allied against this proposal are huge, led by Class One rail carriers. They fight tooth and nail against any proposed new Amtrak route or additional frequency. RWU feels that the best way forward is to bring the railroads under public control, at least the basic infrastructure (track, signals, yards, terminals, etc) or it is very unlikely that we will see much in the way of passenger train expansion. In the meantime, smart Class One rail carriers will welcome the additional income stream from accommodating passenger service and the access to public money for track improvements that will improve freight service as well. Many sectors are coming together around a publicly run rail network - like the Plumb Plan of old - one that is administered by professional railroaders, representatives of the craft workers, and government appointees to protect the public interest. Check out the listing of endorsing organizations to date HERE. Do you want to make your voice heard on this vital question of an expanded passenger rail network? If so, please read through the presentation materials and make a comment by Friday, March 8.

THE ROUND THREE LD MAP IS OUT! February 16, 2024
You can click here to download all 163 pages of meeting materials we reviewed last week and this week. Your job as interested citizens and advocates is to review the materials, and offer constructive, fact-based feedback on how the routes are put together, what kinds of continuing planning should be done, and whether and how an independent entity should be created to ensure that as these route projects unfold the served communities continue to have a voice in making sure they really happen. You have until March 8th to review the materials and then draft and submit your feedback to the study team using the email address [email protected]. Remember, constructive, fact-based, specific observations and suggestions are the way to go here. Some 5,000 comments have been reviewed to date, and comments truly did help shape the final routings selected by the FRA team.
15 NEW TRAINS: CLOSER TO OUR LONG-DISTANCE GOALS February 16, 2024
Keep an eye out for the public release of the study materials on the FRA long-distance study website (which you can reach by clicking here), but here’s a brief rundown of the 15 new routes FRA offered up for our consideration in the upcoming Round Four later this spring: 1 – Chicago to Miami, via Indianapolis, Louisville, Nashville, Chattanooga, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa. 2 – Dallas/Fort Worth to Miami, via Marshall, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Pensacola, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville. 3 – Denver to Houston, via Trinidad, Amarillo, and Dallas/Fort Worth. 4 – Los Angeles to Denver, via Barstow, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Cheyenne. 5 – Phoenix to Minneapolis/St. Paul, via Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Newton, Kansas City, Omaha, and Sioux Falls. 6 – Dallas/Fort Worth to New York, via Oklahoma City, Tulsa, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Pittsburgh. 7 – Houston to New York, via New Orleans, Mobile, Montgomery, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Roanoke, Lynchburg, Lorton, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia. 8 – Seattle to Denver, via Portland, Boise, Pocatello, Salt Lake City, and Grand Junction. 9 – San Antonio to Minneapolis/St. Paul, via Dallas/Fort Worth, Tulsa, Kansas City, and Des Moines. 10 – San Francisco to Dallas/Fort Worth, via Merced, Bakersfield, Barstow, Phoenix, Tucson, El Paso, and Midland. 11 – Detroit to New Orleans, via Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Montgomery, and Mobile. 12 – Denver to Minneapolis/St. Paul, via Cheyenne, Pierre, and Sioux Falls. 13 – Seattle to Chicago, via Yakima, Kennewick, Spokane, Sandpoint, Helena, Billings, Bismarck, and Fargo. 14 – Dallas/Fort Worth to Atlanta, via Marshall, Jackson, Meridian, and Birmingham. 15 – El Paso to Billings, via Albuquerque, Trinidad, Denver, Cheyenne, and Casper.
FRA STUDY DRAFT: MORE TRAINS, MORE PLACES February 9, 2024
If this map is fully realized, 89 percent of the U.S. population would have access to Amtrak trains, including 19 million more Americans in the most-populated metropolitan areas. In this plan some 13 million Americans who lost service to the various Amtrak cuts over the years would get it back. This new map would add 102 stations in rural communities, nearly doubling service in rural areas. Tribal areas would see 112 percent more access, and for people living in what the Dept. of Transportation defines as “health-disadvantaged areas” – that is, areas with poor access to medical facilities and hospitals – there would be 66 percent greater access. Five million people without good medical access could get it via this new map, which would ensure that 86 percent of all U.S. medical centers are served.

Seat 2B
Dany faces Geoff.
Next installment of @wildfaewhump and I's Just A Fling AU. The perfect Geoff, Peyton and their mentioned friends are Vic's characters and they penned a lot of this piece.
[Just A Fling Masterlist]
Content / warnings: Intimate whumper, whumpee meeting whumper in public, past trauma and not ideal coping with it, mentioned serial killings, mention past noncon drugging and assault, sexually derogative language, mention of BBU-pets; pretty frank discussion of past noncon.
2B is Dany's favorite seat on most long distance flights. Best class available, be it First or Business or whichever names they came up with. Aisle, meaning she can get out without the need to talk to anyone. Second row instead of first so there's a bit more air in front of her instead of a wall.
She's gotten it for this flight as well, the way home after some intense days of preparing and ensuring the final acceptance of their newest freight terminal. It's been a success. Another one. Dany is good at her job, and she knows it.
She leans back in her plane seat and opens her laptop to check on the press release the company is about to send out, tuning out the busy noise of the last passengers boarding and filing to the back of the plane.
"Excuse me, Madam" someone next to her says, half bored. "I'm 2A."
She's not sure if its his voice that sets her off, the smell of his cologne, or his looming figure, some inches too close to be entirely polite, but her whole body is on alert suddenly.
Geoff Cortlandt.
"Oh. Ms Hammond," he says, eyebrows up. "Hadn't recognized you, fully dressed."
Dany's hand, halfway to the tray table, freezes mid-air. Geoff's gaze feels heavy on her skin. Even without looking up, the smug amusement radiating from him is almost palpable.
She sets her jaw and reaches out to pick up her laptop and slide back the tray table to let him pass. "Mr Cortlandt."
"Just kidding," he whispers, as he squeezes past, too close for the amount of legroom the plane offers, and pauses, his mouth next to her ear. "You were not actually memorable undressed, either."
"Peyton saw that differently." It slips out, before she can think twice, her voice perfectly even. She's taken seminars on it, on her way to becoming the negotiator she is today - quick comebacks, how to deal with low blows.
Paying back in turn ranks very low on the list.
And it is downright stupid, when it's about the exact thing Peyton's tried to warn her about in his very own, very inappropriate manner. 'We were getting pretty close. And I was… distracted by you. In a way that wasn’t working for Geoff.'
Geoff freezes for a moment, and she thinks she sees a muscle in his jaw twitch, before he breaks into an easy smile. "Well, he's luckily left that behind him now, didn't he?"
He slides into his seat next to her, just as a flight attendant leans into their row. "Can I offer you a drink before take-off?"
"Champagne," Geoff says smoothly. "For both of u-"
"Vodka for me," Dany interrupts. She'll have to sit through this. She's not going to fold, not again, not after she panicked at the tennis match and let him have it. "Straight."
The attendant lifts his eyebrows, but doesn't say a word, while he prepares a plastic flute of champagne for Geoff and then bends down to the bottom of his cart to hand Dany a tiny bottle of Vodka and a glass.
"Well, then." Geoff waits until the attendant has left for the next row, before he raises his glass. "Cheers, Ms Hammond. Go on. Drink up. We both know you're more fun once you've got a little liquor in you."
"We both know it wasn't just liquor. We both know it wasn't fun." Dany screws open the cap of her bottle and pours it into the glass, pausing before she looks at him again. "And we both know you walked away. Is it just like that? Do you always just happen to get away with it?"
He smiles, and it's shaped like it should be charming. It's not. It's just empty. "I'm here, aren't I? Makes you wonder. Is it really possible for someone to do 'wrong'? Or are we just afraid? If right and wrong were the immutable forces we treat them as, wouldn't it be impossible for us to do wrong?"
Dany chuckles dryly and shakes her head, then downs the vodka in one go. "I didn't say anything about right or wrong, you started that yourself. My degree is in psychology, not philosophy." She puts the glass down and grimaces. "Pretty sure you, Mr Cortlandt, are an interesting case for both fields."
He laughs a little in return, and it makes her stomach churn. "I like that." He sips too, his eyes wandering over the cabin, before he turns back to her, shifting in his seat to pull up one knee and cross his opposite ankle under it, leaning in like they're good friends. "So," he says. "What did you like most about fucking Peyton?"
"There's a reason you and I were only intimate when I was unconscious, Geoff, and that's because I don't fucking want you in my bed. Not physically, and not mentally either." She smirks and tilts her glass at him. "You'll never know."
His grip on his glass is tight, but he doesn't retreat, and his smile doesn't drop. If anything, it gets more dangerous. "Fair enough. You know-" He glances around like he's about to share a secret. "There was this one time, he and I. We had a little bit of a threesome, there was this girl. We had her between us, on her hands and knees like a whore, she was so hot for it. Peyton has this way he angles his hips- her whole body seized. She wasn't really my type, but the way she looked right then, coming undone for him with my cock so deep in her throat she couldn't breathe... I almost had to keep her." He takes a deep breath and smiles brightly. "Anyway. I can only imagine he was a great lay for you too."
Dany can't breathe. Couldn't then. Can't now. It is her, it was her, the woman caught between them, betrayed, helpless, powerless. Images she can't remember, but dreams of anyway.
She has to get away. Her hand flies to her waist, unbuckles the security belt, and she staggers to her feet to escape towards the restroom.
"Madam," someone yells, and before she can flee, a stranger is over her, presses her back into her seat. "You cannot get up, Madam, we're in the middle of takeoff, are you insane? Mr Cortlandt, Sir, could you please take care of your friend? She's endangering everyone."
There's more hands on her, Geoff's hands, on her shoulders, wrapped around her own hand, and he's talking over her, her own voice stuck in her throat. "Of course, I'm so sorry about her. She's a nervous flyer. You'd never want everyone on the plane in danger because of you, would you, Dany? We're going to get through this together, I promise. You just need to put your seatbelt back on."
"You got her?", the other man asks sharply.
It's all too much. The shaking of the plane, the hands all over her, the images, and Geoff, Geoff, Geoff, he's next to her, he's over her, he's inside her, 'my cock so deep in her throat that she couldn't breathe', she's dizzy and nauseous and nothing makes any sense.
"No," she whispers weakly, "No, I don't want this, please."
He's not leaving. His hands are on her hips now, almost tender, pulling at the seatbelt, locking her back in. "I know, but there's nowhere else to go. You're just going to have to endure. I'll stay right here with you the whole time, alright? You're not getting rid of me."
Louder, to someone else, he adds. "I think I've got it from here. Thank you for your help."
The plane's rattling gets heavier, then stops, as it raises from the runway, pushing her back into her seat even deeper.
Dany's whole body is trembling. Tears are catching in her lashes, but she's not even able to cry. "Why?" she whispers tonelessly.
Geoff whispers in her ear, one arm around her shoulders. "Why not? You were just a fling."
-
They stay like that, Dany locked in her seat, caught in her own body, Geoff leaning in over her, holding her hand in his like a friend would, until the plane has reached cruising altitude and the seatbelt lights turn off with a little ping.
Only then does Dany manage to shake her shoulder and brush his hand away from her.
"I hate you."
Geoff settles back into his own seat, the grin on his face satisfied and smug. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." He pulls out his phone and opens his picture gallery. "Hey, want to see pictures of my pets?"
She can only shake her head tiredly. "I want you to die"
"You first, princess."
It's almost casual, almost like smalltalk, but it cuts deep. Peyton's words ring in her ears. 'If we hadn’t done what we did, you would be dead. Pieces of your body would have been hidden from here to Georgia, and no one would ever have found you.' Geoff had been ready to kill her. He'd not, he'd found another way, but he'd been close.
"Don't call me princess," she says, even though she knows it's hollow and empty and he'll do whatever he wants anyway. It's easier to reply to that part of his line, than acknowledging the meaning of the other.
He leans closer again anyway, swiping through pictures of a young Philipino person, sultry eyes thick with mascara and shadow as they watch the camera from repose in a king-sized bed. "This one's Lourdes. They're my latest, just got them a couple weeks ago. I always like to have one picture when they're brand new." He swipes again, and the next picture shows someone with similar features. This one, a young man, is hollow-eyed and clearly frightened as he sits stiffly on an ornate couch, hands clasped tightly between his knees. "See? They just... lose that spirit, after a while."
She doesn't want to look at his phone, but it's not like she can go anywhere. Pets are people, she thinks, she's said it so often, but she doesn't now. Because if anyone is aware of this, she's sure it's him. That's why he's showing her these pictures. Because they're people and because he enjoys to make them miserable.
Like he enjoys to make her miserable.
You first.
"You kill them," she says flatly. "Don't you? That's what you're going at with flashing this photo gallery at me."
He glances around, as if to make sure no one is taking an undue interest in their conversation. "What a horrible thing to say! I love all of my pets. And they're all still with me in one way or another. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that bond, since you have none of your own. You're not very caring, are you, Dany? You flit through life without ever really taking anyone with you. It's why I didn't like seeing Peyton get caught up as your latest infatuation. You would have moved on eventually without a drop of care for what it did to him."
"I did move on," she says, carefully. There's something about the way he's phrased it that rubs her wrong. "He moved on, even before I did. Without a drop of care. You made sure of this." She chews her lip, processing what he's said. "What difference would if had made, if I had 'cared' for him?"
His phone screen darkens as he puts it away, voice turned into an angry hiss. "He deserves better! He actually liked you. 'Dany this' and 'Dany that'-- he sounded like he was twelve, discovering Emiliana all over again. And all you wanted was his dick."
His sudden anger is frightening. Still, it's more manageable than whatever mood that was he's been in before. "All he wanted was my body," Dany hisses back. "He didn't care about anything else. He didn't even care about my consent, for fuck's sake. And, he's married. He didn't deserve better. He just didn't deserve anything I ever gave him. He even handed me to you, to shove your fucking cock into me. What the fuck more did you want? For me to actually love him? Or for him to only have eyes for you?"
"Please," he rolls his eyes. "His marriage is as real as the tits Valerian's always going on about getting someday. What I want--" He breaks off to smile, as the steward passes down the aisle. "What I want," he resumes in a whisper, plastering on a smile again, "is for you to be forgotten so entirely that it's as if you never existed. But I'd settle for getting off this plane."
Dany laughs, sudden, harsh, almost broken. She doesn't bother putting up an act, just stares at Geoff plainly, waits for him to meet her gaze. "You wouldn't ever get that," she says then. "Whatever Peyton does or does not forget about me, the problem is yourself, Geoff. Because wherever I am, whatever you do to me, you, you will remember there was someone else in Peyton's life, someone he couldn't get enough of, even while he had you." The corners of her lips pull up, almost a grin, but it's too desperate. "Which means you always lose."
The armrest creaks under his grip. His grin is a macabre stretch of lips over teeth. "Have a pleasant flight, Ms Hammond. Wherever you're going after this, I hope you reach your destination safely."
He slips out of his seatbelt and grabs his jacket with clipped, angry force.
This time, when he passes her, he keeps his distance.
Dany doesn't turn around, when he passes her to go towards the back of the plane, just hears a whispered apology to someone else and the re-buckling of a seat belt.
He's in front of her, when they disembark, walking away from the plane, from her with long, determined strides. Dany pulls out her phone. She still has Peyton's number. She never even bothered to block him. She's pretty sure he didn't either.
*You're the one in danger, Peyton. You know he can't stop. And you're the centre of it all.*
*He'll kill you.*
*Take care.*
She puts the phone down and looks through the huge airport windows at the cloudy sky outside, before she adds,
*Or don't. I don't actually care.*
The messages are marked as read right away. He doesn't reply.
-
Just a few hundred meters away from her, Peyton Montgomery looks through the windows of his car, spotting the tall figure of his best friend stepping out of the airport doors.
A quick flick of his thumb deletes Dany's messages.
Geoff would never hurt him.
When Geoff gets into the car, Peyton's smile is as easy as ever.

1/ According to media reports, #Israel agreed to "reopen" the #Erez crossing in northern #Gaza for the passage of aid. However, Erez - which came under Hamas attack on 7 October- is a pedestrian terminal with no facilities for freight shipment. This is what it looked like earlier this week, and there are currently no approved plans or issued tenders for its refurbishment or conversion. It will not be immediate, if it happens at all.
Tumblr media
2/ It took #Israel six months to form a 'humanitarian deconfliction cell' when militaries, operating in good faith, have those in place before going into battle (and, according to the Israeli 2006 Manual on the Rules of Warfare, a prerequisite for its operations). In any event, it does not resolve the fact that #COGAT leading the cell is - according to numerous media reports - excluded from real-time deconfliction and is effectively disconnected from field operations.
