a fun thing you can do when you're a grownup is buy a bunch of ingredients and make 6 litres of spaghetti sauce in a big pot and divide it up into a bunch of containers and put it in the freezer!

#food #I used 4 cans of tomatoes and 2 small zucchini and a pound and a half of ground beef #and 3 bell peppers and a bulb and a half of garlic and 2 thingies of mushrooms and I think 5 onions? #I'm spaghetti sauce rich! I can have easy spaghetti occasionally for many weeks to come! #I was going to make it yesterday when I bought most of the ingredients #but then I realized the 2 cans of tomato I had in the cupboard were probably not enough #highly recommend making a lot of a freezable thing and freezing it! future me is going to be glad to have so much sauce! #cooking #I wish I had a cheese grater. I must get one

Made some cheesecake and raspberry sauce.

Made a pot of chili from a 2 lb. chunk of clearance bottom round roast and a gallon-bag of frozen tomatoes from a friend's mom's garden and y'all. It slaps.

#I WILL BE DOING THIS AGAIN #I chopped up the bottom round real small but it's pretty lean so I didn't need to drain the fat off like with ground beef #the tomatoes made. A lot of broth #also protip if you need to peel tomatoes for sauce/soup/salsa #freeze them hard then thaw them in warm water. Skins slide right off. Nice.

Oh rip

I got up early to make food that would use up the rest of the stuff we had in the freezer ahead of it being replaced with a new one in an hour and I get a message saying it needs to be rescheduled so i did all that for almost nothing xD

#I hope the rescheduling will be within the next few days #at least I can freeze the sauce I made and use it on one of the days #I was gonna use it today but if the freezer isn’t going anywhere i can just freeze it #actually gives us time to get something to put things in to keep them cool ahead of the rescheduled delivery #man I’m gonna have no energy tho cos I got up mega early and went to bed late
