You know, I'm pretty sure Taekookers (and now JinKookers, oddly enough) prefer Taekook interactions specifically because they are NOT romantic. If you spend any time in tkk spaces, it's immediately clear that they're fantasy driven. They like to imagine what it would be like to be with Tae/JK using the other member of the ship as the self-insert. Typical fantasy play, a safe way to explore a burgeoning (for the younger) or repressed/unexplored (for the older) sexuality.

However, Jikook past and present is unmistakably homoromantic. People who'd rather imagine themselves with the members, or who don't like the idea of the members having desires (sexual or otherwise) that have nothing to do with ARMY are threatened. That's why you see people liking and sharing or simply ignoring homoerotic fan art or edits of TK, while flipping out over legitimate pictures, clips, etc of Jikook. They see it, they absolutely recognize it for what it is, and they hate it because it destroys their ability to project their own fantasies onto their idols.

And to be fair, BTS is pretty unique amongst idol groups: they pretty much changed the way fans interact with their idols. They're very open and honest so it's easy to feel closely connected to them, almost like you know them. Just think about that letter Namjoon recently penned, or the fact that they are the group that turned VLive into what it is now, a place where idols can talk directly and (somewhat) personally to their fans.

And people love this! To a point. Because the more one is confronted with an idol's humanity, the reality of their personhood, the more restricted the ability to project onto and fantasize about the idol becomes. Gone are the days when idols were basically unknowable and their personas were easy canvases for fan projections and fantasies.

So for some, anything or anyone that would seem to contradict the fantasy needs to be incorporated into it (Tae was supposed to go to Tokyo! that's fan service! they're just brothers! he makes him so uncomfortable!) or destroyed (stop talking about jikook you fetishizer! you're a Tae/JK anti! #freejungkook!) Tkkr "theories" don't just sound like soap operas or fan fictions; that's literally what they are.

Jimin as JK's romantic partner stands as living, breathing opposition and contradiction to any fantasies fans may want to indulge in, and that's intolerable for some. They resent him the most, but it isn't personal. If Tae were JK's partner, the same people who now loudly oppose Jimin would undoubtedly turn on Tae.

And Tae and JK aren't exempt. Many fans frequently belittle JK's intelligence, implying he has no knowledge of film language, no ability to decipher English lyrics, no idea he has Jimin's name tattooed on the ring finger of his mic hand. And I don't know if you were in the fandom when Tae told a particularly bold tkkr to get out of her imagination, but not only did many tkkrs rush to misinterpret his words, but several also spammed Weverse with sexually explicit Taekook fan art.

I guess the main point of what I'm saying is, the vitriol from shippers has little to do with the members themselves and everything to do with fan projection and fantasy being frustrated by reality.

And for what it's worth, it at least appears the members have accepted it and chosen not to let it get to them. If the selcas Jimin and Jungkook dropped during hickeygate didn't convince you, I think partnering with Wattapad is a clear indication that they know what goes on in fantasy spaces and they're choosing to engage on their own terms. Yoongi even seems excited about playing a villain? 😆

And the things these people say are definitely vile, hateful, and hypocritical. But they're toddlers throwing tantrums and screaming into the void. They have little bearing on reality.

I say little rather than no bearing because JM seems to be dropping dongsaeng in favor of maknae, very consciously (in my opinion) removing a "weapon" from the arsenal of those who would seek to deny the truth.

And Tae... has not been known to mince words when he feels people have overstepped. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be treading lightly if I was a tkkr, especially on Weverse. You never know when Tae might get fed up and tell people exactly how he feels about their little fantasy narratives.

Wow anon...I agree with everything here. I agree because I was once there in my 1D days. Ziam and Larry were my ships (yes I know, embarrassing 😫) but it was mainly Ziam. And I used to project myself onto Zayn and fantasize what it would be like to be in a relationship with Liam. The only difference is that I didn't fantasize for being with Liam but I fantasized being Zayn (again, kinda weird I know but I was young ok😭). And everytime Liam did something I didn't like, like go out with his girlfriend I'd be so freaking pissed. "How dare you go out with her when Zayn is at home probably heartbroken🥺" then I would comfort myself with "Oh yeah we can't know about their relationship. They gotta keep going out with their beards to hide the real relationship🤭🤫" Another thing is, I would "feel sorry for Zayn" when Liam talked about his gf, but when Zayn talked about his gf I wouldn't treat him with anger like I did Liam. It was always "aw my poor baby having to be in this relationship he doesn't want🥺".

Now why did I say all this that no one cares about (😭)? Because this is very much like what you're describing here. I've seen it quite often with Taekookers being mad at one (Jungkook) while favoring the other. Is it because they see themselves as Taehyung in the relationship? So whenever Jungkook so much as looks at Jimin it's "ugh you're my- I mean Taehyung's boyfriend and shouldn't be looking at someone else. Hmph!"? Or maybe it's "Tae isn't like that if he looks at someone else it's just a friendly manner. He did nothing wrong". Kind of how I was with Zayn. "Only Liam is the problem. NOT the one I'm projecting onto😤".

Again I agree. These are all fantasies. When you finally come out of that little bubble of "my ship is being hidden! Let me look for the little cracks in the story that points to them being in a relationship!" you realize that you're making up things in your mind. "Omg Tae said they were drinking together last night! That means there's nothing special with Jungkook literally spinning Jimin to the point where Jimin left a big ole suck on his neck. Yay my ship is realll🥳" When it was literally just Tae and Jungkook hanging out and probably trying to get back that close friendship that once was (realize I never said they aren't friends; just not that close anymore which is OK.")

A Thought Provoking Post

When I find interesting threads...I share them. 🤷‍♀️

I enjoy conversation so feel free to share thoughts in the comments or message me.

But I really, really think that all ships are subject to this (tribalism and confirmation bias).

Think about the times jikookers have said, "just wait until xx content gets released." I mean....jikookers end up being mostly right but that doesn't stop us from indulging in these hits of dopamine or anticipating new content drops either.

And this anticipation also shows itself in the people that shout "we win" or "they're coming out" only to revert back to "that cursed company forced them back into hiding!" Or when they don't get the content they expect so they lash out... (freeJungkook anyone?)

And especially in the escalation of theories and actions that result in the harassment of actual LGBTQIA+ couples or people tied to the perceived couple, again, through the fake narratives.

The group think that tends to take over with people cautioning that JK's newest post is NOT a break up song (it's not a break up song, but you'd have to revisit my post about why jikookers aren't conspiracy theorists to see why this post is more about exploring our thought processes more than anything else and it's good practice to check in with yourself about why you need the reassurance anyway) or when ships turn into more of a competition than appreciation of the existing relationship.

Or when people engage in harassment towards anyone displaying thoughts that contradict the prevailing group doctrine.

I think besides shippers, people, some with biases that they are extremely emotionally invested in, solos and akgaes definitely engage in this harassment. People have done this with accounts they don't agree with, with accounts that don't post what they want them to post, and then there's the "battles" between accounts that "defend" the "problematic member x anti" accounts and the countervailing narrative that the accounts doing the harassment are solos.

(and by "extremely emotionally invested biased" I mean people that don't put the same energy into the defense of the other individual members)

I definitely observe the lack of gray area and logic that enters the conversation when these names get slung around. There's an identification that people gather around themselves like an armor and then because they wear it or carry it like a shield, they feel that battle is necessary in defense of this label. Does that make sense? 🤔

This doesn't apply when there are legitimate forms of anti behavior and especially not when there are blatant xenophobic, racist, homophobic and misogynistic attacks. The whole fandom up in arms is necessary at that point. It shouldn't be just us calling that sh*t out every time, but that's another topic for another day. 😩

So anyway....emotions make us more passionate, entrenched, and have the ability to make us less logical (the processing takes place in different brain hemispheres). Identifying with a group makes us more likely to engage in group think and probably employ tactics we may not have done on our own. And the point of the attached twitter thread was about cults and conspiracy groups being addicted to the behavior.

So final question: does belonging to ARMY or the sub-groups within ARMY count as an addiction? What is your reaction when someone tells you to take a break (generally from any content or fandom activities or perhaps from spending on merch, e.g., step back from shipping if it's affecting your emotions)? And I don't mean someone who isn't generally supportive of your hobby.

Do you:

1) Say I'm fine (perhaps ignore or brush off concerns)

2) Drift away from the person

3) Lash out in anger (towards the person or in your community)

4) Say you will (but then don't or can't)

5) Say you will but get depressed (perhaps have withdrawal symptoms)

6) Withdraw until you're mentally and emotionally in a good place to engage again

Honestly this was just me putting some thoughts down.

#freejungkook is back again 🤢🤮 More like free BTS from crazy solo stans and homophobic bishes who only know ‘attack’ and not ‘appreciate’. Tbh i’m pissed off at both the crazy jk stans as well as the jm stans (lets not start with tkkrs). Neither of them have any sense of what they’re spreading. Their narratives and comments belong to some teenage wattpad rage fic. Jimin doesn’t need to seek attention, y’all idiots seem to be giving him all of it even if he sneezes in JK’s direction lmao. And JK isn’t some helpless puppy who’s being ‘used’ for FaNSerViCe. This part of the fandom really can’t take jikook interacting 🤣 which is sad AF considering these two members gravitate towards each other a lot... if it was taekook y’all would’ve birthed out 1001 18+ narratives. If it was vmin, the threads would be all about ‘soulmate power’. But since it’s jikook, we get ‘Jimin is a desperate/attention seeking/untalented hoe’ and ‘JK is being used/abused for clout’.

Also, no one told y’all to make assumptions about the photoshoot. If you hate shipping and ship narratives so much, then just avoid it. Who cares what jikookers/taekookers etc, are saying. Stan OT7/your bias and move on. Why do you gotta zero in on one of the members and slut shame them on the internet?! What do you even get from it?

If you separate all the bad boy/gangster narratives from the photoshoot snippets, it’s just a fun behind the scenes video of a group of 7 guys being themselves. These boys have known each other since they were teenagers, they see and live with each other for the better part of the year, have witnessed each other’s best and worst, have been an active part of the band’s growth as a unit, and definitely know each other better than some rando who decided to open a twitter account to trend a meaningless hashtag.

Get this in your head. If Jeon Jungkook detested Park Jimin’s presence, no amount of fanservice profit would be able to force him to interact this way and to this extent with JM. Same goes for Jimin, my man doesn’t need to list out his talent to some blind haters to prove his worth. His work and talent is out there and gets appreciated by millions of people 100 times more experienced than these shitheads who can’t go one day without crying about nonsense. BTS doesn’t need clout. Their art speaks for itself. They didn’t get nominated to represent their country internationally because jikook acted hella cute in this one random interview. How many times will Taehyung have to repeat “love the 7 of us” for you to understand that OT7 is a unit?

All the solo stans out there being toxic to the other members while thinking they’re protecting their bias are truly on something out of this world.

Also, shipping is a personal choice and should be for fun purposes. None of us can prove anything, we can just enjoy it. Can we not add all this disgusting hate to it?

God, i feel so sad for them. I was also like what content?? Omg they are really desperate :D All these over a photo?? A fucking photo??? It's confusing to me that jikook is tagged as fanservice when there are times and it has become a pattern that people think they're distant but will later on, based on their stories, would turn out that they're still hanging out. while taekook appears to be okay and super close would say things haven't been okay between them. yeah the ITS1 talk is 1 or 2 yrs ago and I thought things have changed but even their LA trip show that while they do appear to interact a lot, they still do not spend much time together on their own. Tae mentioning they had a talk during 1 dinner sounded like they rarely do it. so aren't they the ones doing fan service? they just needed to show that they're super close to fans. their IG interactions as well are to me, for fans' sake

Frankly, and to put it quite simply, a lot of the stuff jikook have done and still do, is over the top and usually it's the over the top stuff that's considered fanservice in kpop. I know that what jikook do feels "artificial" for a lot of people, precisely because it seems to much to be actually real. Gay closeted men in a homophobic conservativzzzz I fall asleep everytime I read that. They can't possibly behave the way they do living in the """conditions""" they live. Because of this mindset even some jikookers are confused as to why they talked about the hickey or why that footage was included in the DVD and many have questioned the realness of that story.

Taekookers and other JK shippers are primarily the ones who say jikook is fanservice, and one of the reasons is because of all said above. To them, it can't be real because gay people are supposed to hide, to live in fear, to be ashamed, gay people are supposed to hate themselves and have rocky toxic miserable relationships. They think living in the closet means struggling to breathe everyday and clawing at the closet's door. It doesn't mean that. It doesn't have to mean that. Sometimes the closet is actually the most comfortable place for someone to be in.

One of the other reasons, is that historically it has been Jimin the one who "initiates" jikook moments the most, and they hate Jimin, this gives them reason to believe that Jimin has an ulterior motive to initiate moments with JK: fanservice. They think Jungkook is a victim to bighit/Jimin's evil master plan of fanservice and queerbaiting in order to boost Jimin's alleged poor popularity within the fandom.

So the only logical explanation for a lot of people, is that jikook do fanservice and that even the things they say about their off time, are lies all curated to keep jikook's "couple" image for the fans and to simultaneously hide the actual couple (which would be another gay ship). They fail to see that the majority of the fandom doesn't even see jikook as a couple lmao, so clearly the plan is not working. The fact that it's also Jimin the one who talks about spending time with Jungkook off work, also adds to their idea that Jungkook is a victim. #freejungkook

In the end, it all comes down to one thing: they hate Jimin. The only ship they consider fanservice is jikook only because they think Jimin is not genuine.

I think it's perfectly okay and normal trying to understand why they think the way they do, know your enemy and all, but my humble advice would be to try to not internalize it so much, because you could end up feeling the same way they feel and thinking the same way they think and believe me it's a really dark place to be in. It's okay to know their thought process but also to be able to say "that's what those people think and this is what I think, we are not the same". Plus almost everything they believe is just.. insane. Not much of anything makes sense. They just seriously only care about hating on Jimin.

Do you really feel comfortable thinking about Jungkook like that, tho? I literally had crisis after crisis when taekook had that conversation in 2020 precisely because of everything you mentioned. It took me a few months to even be able to look at Jungkook again after that lmao. I could cry thinking about that time.

For the sake of my own mental health and because I don't want to feel that ugly about something/someone I like, I try to not overanalyze them that much, because the possibilities are endless and once you start to think it just won't stop. I prefer taking things at face value, and I believe Jungkook and Taehyung are close again right now and yes, they have been trying to show off how close they are, I've mentioned it a lot of times, but I think it's because they have actually become closer. I don't think it's just for the fans or that is a lie. At least I hope it's not. I don't say this only because of their interactions on Instagram, but because of Muster 2021, In the Soop 2, PTD on stage online and offline, they have a new handshake, Harry's concert, the beach, James Corden show, the vminkook live. It seems way too consistent to be "just for the fans".

For the life of me I just cannot understand how someone can say the are fan of Jungkook, that they love him, care for him (well, as much as you would expect from a normal fan and not a deranged one), and not know a single thing about that person you supposedly love.

Free JK from who? From the person he loves? From the person he can't get enough of? From the person he loves to hold and carry? From the person that he, JK, sucked his ear in front of 10's of thousands of fans? From the person he had his name tattooed on his hand? From the person he made a whole clip dedicated to showcasing that person and their private trip to Tokyo together?

They don't love JK, not really.

They love the idea of the idol, the sexy, good looking manly macho persona that they can continue to fantasize about.

That's not JK.

This is JK:

JM is the one JK gravitates to, the one he turns to when he needs comforting, the one he feels at home with.

JM is the one JK looks at with love in his eyes.

JM is the one JK turned to look at when singing "but I still want you" (changing the lyrics, harmonizing and staging to do that).

JM is the one that JK chooses to spend his time off with, his late night buddy, his drinking buddy, his mosquito net breaking buddy, his hickey buddy.

I can just go on and on and on here. I think we all get the point.

Those toxic fans are idiots that love the idea/fantasy of the idol JK, but they know nothing about JK, and care even less for the real person that he is.

Whatever happened to “This is just a work of fiction”, “you guys need to learn the difference between fiction and reality”, “the characters don’t represent the members IRL”. “That’s why they were given DIFFERENT NAMES.”

So.. About That Hickey..

I think I’m still processing all of this and reminding myself I’m not dreaming 🤣 I seriously only got 3 hours of sleep last night and when I woke up the first thing I did was check twitter to be sure this “drunk bridal-style spinning hickey neck biting proudly showing off” moment actually happened!!

.. I hate the way my brain works though. I was so happy that it took me forever to fall asleep, spent all day on cloud 9 despite being tired, .. and then my old nemesis, anxiety, stepped in. Well kind of. TBH if all of the MOTS ON:E Jikook moments we got happened with Jimin/anyone else or Jungkook/anyone else.. I would seriously be sitting here saying “well fuck.. I believe they WERE a couple, but looking at all of this it seems they are no longer together.” So really, this just confirmed what I already knew about Jimin and Jungkook: they’re a couple. My anxiety is over.. why? Why show us this? If they can cover all of JK’s tattoos, a hickey/bite mark/whatever we’re calling it should be super easy to hide. Sure it was just rehearsal.. but it was rehearsal with cameras rolling with every intention of releasing what was being filmed as future content. It could have (and some might argue should have) been covered.

Guys... I’m confused. And concerned. ❗❗❗ TW for drama, hate, homophobia, the usual anti issues

That “official” explanation.. again.. why? I’m assuming Jimin and Jungkook were asked and allowed to explain because of the chance of it being spotted and armys freaking out, so BH (or possibly even Jikook) thought to get ahead of the speculation by just being up front about it all.. but THAT explanation? I suppose it works for covering up the army panic of “Jungkook has a girlfriend?! *insert fangirl sobbing*” .. but that’s literally all it does (and only barely if you go looking at some of the anti’s reactions to it all). Really, all it did was draw even more attention and speculation. I mean.. this is, essentially, what we were told: Jimin and Jungkook were together the night before drinking, apparently without the other members as they didn’t seem to know all of this already (and they would have if they had been there), somehow hanging out and having drinks turns into Jungkook picking Jimin up bridal style (random but some of the k-army reactions on twitter were translating through google into “princess style” and I just think that’s so cute 🥰), spinning ensues, Jimin gets dizzy and wants Jungkook to put him down, ... and so he proceeds to do the only logical thing that any of us would have done in that situation... biting Jungkook’s neck? And hard enough to leave a mark the next day?? And instead of being peeved about it (like most of us would have been if our friend bit the crap out of us), Jungkook looks happy?? proud even???

And they arrived together the next day and continue to be cute and playful?

I just.. I mean.. come on. First of all.. that’s a hickey. A bite leaves teeth marks. And one would assume a wild, drunken “let me down” chomp would be something that happens suddenly and ends very quickly. I know I for sure would drop someone on their ass if they decided to take a bite out of my neck (assuming I was even picking up and spinning around with one of my friends like that to begin with.. but let’s not even get into why that was going on at this point) .. but the way this bruised? Yeah. There were no teeth involved (at least not hard enough to leave indentations) and this took more than a couple of seconds of mouth-to-neck contact to still be that visible the next day. So.. in short. Jungkook arrives with a hickey, JK decides to not cover it up (or he would have shown up with it hidden and we see him get out of the car that morning with it clearly visible), BH staff sees it and also decides to not have it covered up and actually have it explained... and the explanation is “oh yeah Jimin just bit him, you know.. no big deal hehehe isn’t that funny?” 🤯 WHAT?! Yeah.. that’s totally normal, platonic behavior between adults...

I’m not saying Jimin and Jungkook are lying btw. I have no doubt it played out more or less exactly as they said with the exception of what they’re calling the end result. Jimin and Jungkook are fine.. I mean, what were they supposed to say? They’re not going to show up saying Jimin was sucking on Jungkook’s neck the night before. We’ll probably never know why Jungkook decided to not cover it up before arriving, but it’s his body and he gets to decide. It’s BH that has me so puzzled. Other than antis and people who refuse to see what’s literally right in front of their faces when it comes to Jikook.. who were BH expecting to believe the bite thing? Just among staff and the other members, it’s a laughable but safe “oh of course *wink wink*” explanation that allows everyone to carry on like normal. But to the public who don’t know them personally, don’t know their usual behavior and patterns, and who don’t have something like a non-disclosure agreement or professional courtesy preventing them from openly speculating.. it doesn’t fly. Pretty much everyone teen and up knows what a hickey looks like (either from having gotten/given one or at least seeing one on someone else in person or online). It’s immediately obvious what it is. And even if there was some uncertainty.. that it’s on his neck (instead of other easily accessible and less sensitive/stimulating locations) and just so happens to be right near his mole as it Jimin were aiming for it? Just another “too many coincidences” thing when it comes to Jikook.

Even antis on twitter couldn’t deny what it was and, so, had to resort to the “well I do that with my sibling and my uncle’s pet raccoon all the time it’s just family things” excuse and/or the “yeah well someone ELSE in the group (or a girlfriend) gave him that and they’re just covering by saying it was Jimin.” Oh. And the same old “it’s just fan service” excuse (as if Jungkook would let someone bruise his neck for the purposes of fanservice which, again, BTS has never done or needed to do. Forever pissed off that so many in this fandom act like Jungkook is a puppet doing whatever the “evil company” tells him to do regardless of his personal feelings or boundaries. The man has tattoos covering nearly every inch of his arm despite that being looked down on in Korea. At this point he can do whatever the fuck he wants). So.. why?? Seriously, why? This all could have easily been avoided with simple makeup.

When they’re doing official content they’re all literally followed around by a flurry of staff fixing hair, dabbing sweat, touching up makeup, etc. Even though it was rehearsal, staff were everywhere in the footage that’s made its way online. If they were worried that it would be seen in the background and “taken the wrong way,” just have the staff occasionally touch up the makeup. “Easy peasy lemon squeezy.” But instead of doing the obvious, BH decides to: not cover it, draw attention to it by asking about it and letting them continue to talk about it, go out of their way to get a camera on it, and then include it in the final cut of the content they sent out?

BTS is literally the most popular group in the world right now and BH has become a behemoth of a company that runs like a well-oiled machine. They’re not stupid; this was not a mistake. For some reason they wanted us to see this and, one would assume based on the lack of a more believable explanation, they wanted us to come to the conclusion that we all have: Jimin gave Jungkook a hickey. You know they have teams dedicated to monitoring reactions to content on social media. You know they know the dialog surrounding Rosebowl, Black Swan MMA, the Memories 2020 “almost kiss,” etc. etc. All of this got “jikook,” “hickey” and variations of their names trending for HOURS (in multiple countries and worldwide).

Out of curiosity, I decided to check the trends at the time of writing this. As of 3 AM CST (about 24 hours AFTER the clips started showing up online), there was still a hashtag trending related to all of this: #FREEJUNGKOOK.. and the tweets being directed toward BH are.. disturbing to say the least:

While I agree that the boys should trend more often based on their talents and music.. what’s going on right now is a homophobic 💩 show accusing BH of “scripting” interactions (rather than.. you know.. Jungkook interacting with whoever he wants however he wants.. the usual “mindless puppet JK” narrative), trying to coordinate the mass sending of angry emails, trying to get people to stop buying paid content, accusing BH of taking advantage of the members.. I mean it goes on and on. And BH know what’s going on right now. They’re seeing the reactions... the good and the extremely negative. And still they let this out. And this is all not even CONSIDERING the mountain of other moments that made the cut on MOTS ON:E.

So.. even though I’ve said it dozens of times already... WHY? W H Y? I’m an anxious person by nature and not very trusting. I believe Jimin and Jungkook and I don’t think they’ve been lying and pretending for “fanservice” all of these years. I respect them both too much as individuals and artists to believe that they would stoop to such tactics just to generate a little more “interest” and revenue. I’m suspicious of BH. BTS doesn’t need fanservice to get attention; literally all of 2020 and 2021 so far has proven that beyond a doubt. Even if they suddenly made the decision to do fs.. why not go with the most popular ship (taekook) or at least one that isn’t so hotly debated on social media (remove Jimin, Jungkook and Tae from the equation and you still have four members to “play” with who have much less potential to have fs devolve into a toxic crap show all over the internet). Showing us this will do nothing to help BTS as a group or Jimin and Jungkook at this point. In fact.. all it can do is hurt. Hurt BH, hurt the group, and hurt the individual members, heck.. even potentially hurt other BH/HYBE groups. I’ve already seen people on twitter saying they’re “done” spending money on anything BH or BTS puts out because they’re “sick of jikook in their faces and just two of the seven hogging all of the screen time.” Whether or not that “spending freeze” actually materializes into anything noticeable remains to be seen of course.. but the threat is there and always has been. What is the motive? And why now? As much as my “hopeless romantic” heart would like to believe they’re preparing us for Jikook to be “out” .. I seriously don’t think that is ever going to happen. Certainly not now at the height of the group’s fame, with them being given Presidential honors and ambassador status, and with military service still looming over them all. And let’s not forget... Korea is NOT a safe place for a queer couple. Letting us see and know what they did through what was released has the potential to put Jimin and Jungkook (and the other members by proxy) in danger. Sure.. BTS has never been hardline rule followers and have been breaking molds and shattering norms from the start, so “officially” having an openly gay couple in the group wouldn’t be impossible.. just... highly highly improbable. Especially right now... and I’m concerned. I don’t want to sound like the creeps I posted a screenshot of above throwing blame at the company. The boys chose to renew their contracts with the for a reason so we have to trust their judgement as a group... but still, I’m worried and I’m questioning what the purpose was here.
