+ Gascoigne has TWO daughters, not one! His older daughter is only met if you follow questline with little girl accurately, though.

before i go to bed, for some reason I didnt get a notification from tumblr like i usually do (i guess they forgot lol) but today’s the 10 year anniversary of me being on tumblr!

originally I started out over on @smolidraws as a little superwholock/multifandom blog, and then roughly 3 years later i created this blog originally as a markiplier/jse sideblog but now it’s the one i’ve been on the longest and the one im (kinda??) the most known for haha.

from mishpocalypse to antipocalypse, almost going to dashcon to getting to meeting people ive come to know online at pax east, to getting more comfortable posting my art, theories, shitposts etc, it’s been fun ride ^^.

admittedly i dont get as personal here as i used to be, but i guess ill use this little post to thank ya guys for being here for however long you’ve been around ^-^. it’s honestly really nice and tbh really, really cool to get to interact with the communities im in (especially the jse community) through sharing my long rambles and the things i’ve create. 

and while im a bit of a shyish person still, i really appreciate the couple of people ive been able to get to talk to and know over the years cos of this website. i have a lot of fond memories spending time in discord servers together, dming and reblogging during exciting ego times, having someone to lend an ear to when needed (especially when college was driving me mad) and vice versa, and im really happy that i had a chance to do so with yall :)

ill probably make a better post next year when this blog specifically hits 8 years and when im not sleep deprived lol, but 10 is a doozy to be on this dumpster fire of a site (/lh), so might as well celebrate a tiny bit ^-^. love you guys <3

Dawn part 4 analysis, here we go! At it again with my ramblings.

Starting off with THE GLORIOUS RETURN OF THE MAILMAN! The moment I saw the flag I was like :O HE’S BACK!!!

(I also got the blue’s clues mail song stuck in my head)

Hey look, it’s Warriors’ money! And the inkeeper who’s happily admiring the ridiculous amount of rupees Warriors now does not own!

Rip Warriors’ money. It will be dearly missed.

Also no vacancy?? I mean, it’s possible there’s other people staying there, or it’s just a small inn, but... it kinda looks like Warriors literally bought every available room there was. Mad lad.

I (like everybody else lol) took a crack at figuring out who’s signature was who’s, based on their respective game’s Hylian texts/scripts, order of when they got there, and the OG tags on the comic. So here’s my best guesses—

1. Time is first, which makes sense based on him being the one to take Twilight to the inn

2. Hyrule appears to be next— his games don’t have a written script, but the hylian here is close to Legend’s, so I’m assuming it’s his, based on the fact that he was part of the next group to get to the inn.

3. Four is who I’m least sure about I’ll admit, but seeing as how he came with Hyrule, (and he’s the only Link left I couldn’t identify at all), I’m assuming it’s his.

4. Warriors we know for sure, since the tags say this signature is his. He gets a shout out for being the only Link who can actually write in the lines.

5. Wind seems to be next, as his hylian is very close to what’s here (his signature partially obscures Warriors’ XD)

6. Legend is who I’m going with for this one, but I’ll admit it could be Wild’s since their script is pretty darn close. But once again, based on when they all got to the inn, Legend would make the most sense to be here.

7. Sky is definitely here. His hylian is very unique compared to the others (I think it’s my favorite)

8. Wild is probably next, but same case as Legend, they could be swapped. But once again, probably not, since Wild was the last to get inside.

9. Twilight bringing up the rear! His hylian is unmistakable, and it makes sense that he’d mark his name last. I don’t think he could handle it until he woke up that morning, though I do wonder which arm he wrote it with...

Moving on!

It’s gotta be close to mid-morning by now based on the light, but Sky obviously does not handle waking up at dawn well. It’ll be interesting to see if he stays sleepy during the rest of this arc, or if he'll wake up a bit.

(Side note, Sky looks so soft and fluffy here, I want to hug him)

Sky is so relatable in this update, he’s got some serious “I have no idea what’s going on” vibes. That first one he's got such a deer in the headlights look XD

The mailman is just like “you! I’ve been looking for you! Great to see you!” and Sky’s just “I have never met this man in my life” (probably forgot he actually did see him once (because he’s sleepy))

Four letters, all different languages and dialects... I’m guessing at least one Zelda based on the seal on that blue letter (it seems fancier to me), but I don’t know about the rest. I would guess Malon for one, and maybe another Zelda? Warriors or Wild or Four’s Zelda maybe? Maybe Twilight got a letter from someone in Ordon, or the Resistance!

Only thing I do know is that there’s probably not one for Sky, since he wasn’t immediately like “letter for me! :D”

Four trying to do something nice and fix Wild’s sword and this guy just laughs at him, rude 😤 At least he didn’t make a short joke, which was honestly what I was expecting. I mean I get knowing that your equipment won’t be enough for the job, but sheesh.

(Also the blacksmith’s goggles look a bit like Gondo’s in skyward sword’s, plus the ones the rescue knights wear, thought that was interesting).

I love this panel!! They all decided to follow Four and help him out just like they did last time, fix the sword and get Wild a good, reliable weapon.

I’ve also never noticed how similar these guy’s hair looks before, especially Warriors and Hyrule’s— if Rulie’s hair was a little shorter and blonde, it would be pretty near identical. Very interesting...

(Plus Wind has the funniest expression, he's so cute)

We interrupt this rambly analysis to bring you a brief moment of me yelling about Warriors' smile ABHDGFSFKHSBBG LOOK AT HIM that stupid cocky grin and the way he's rolling up his sleeve I'm *swoon*

Four absolutely losing it over Warriors’ jab about teamwork is SO funny, Captain you have no idea how good your joke was. (also Four, bud, you good? Little hysterical there pal)

Also he looks so happy!!! Compare that to any of the faces he was making the night before, he's doing so much better. I’m so glad he’s happy and smiling now, even if it was just at a dumb joke :)

I don’t even have anything to say about this panel. Just look at it. Glorious.

Nevermind how you and Peter convinced Miguel to go to the beach with you guys, you're just glad he's open to doing something fun!

Miguel is prepared. He's got a checklist of everything you guys need and definitely keeps a first aid kit handy.

He is supervising that everyone has on their sunscreen, bugspray, and what have you because he'll be damned if you guys head back to HQ and one of you can't function because of a little sunburn. (Lowkey he just cares though.) He even brought infant/toddler specific sunscreen for Mayday.

Miguel's eyes are sensitive to light so he's got his sunglasses on! And Peter forgot Mayday's hat, but Miguel already brought one for her just in case. It's not that Miguel doubts Peter, he just likes to help.

"Oh, darn," Peter says. "Guys, has anyone seen Mayday's hat? It's pink with little flowers and-" "Honey, I think you left it on the couch?" Mary Jane says. "I think you're right," Peter sighs. "Well, looks like you're stuck with me under the umbrella, kiddo!" "Peter." Peter looks to Miguel who's just got that impassive expression of his as he holds out an infant size hat. It's stylized like the classic Spider suit (red/blue with white web motif). Peter smiles and takes the hat and as much as he wants to give Miguel a hard time about being a softie he spares him. This time!

When Miguel sees you come out in your swim outfit (if this is his first time seeing you in it), he's thankful for the sunglasses because he's not taking his eyes off you. Immediately wants to hold your hand, put his arm around your waist or *something*. He needs some kind of physical contact with your body and his.

Miles, Hobie, Pavitr, and Gwen will waste no time getting in the water.

Miguel will take it upon himself to set up the chairs, umbrellas, and everything else. He's not going to ask for help and will just grumble about it the whole time. Of course, you guys step in to help. You and Mary Jane take over bringing the rest of the stuff from the vehicle while Peter and Miguel set up a little pool area for Mayday.

Once everything is set up, the adults can hit the water!

Miguel does not show it often, but he can be mischievous at times. He'll swim underwater and sneak up on you and if you're on a floatie there's a 50/50 chance he will flip you over.

At some point, it's just you and Mary Jane in the water while the others are off doing their thing. Miguel makes it a point to join Peter and Mayday to help keep them company. He actually smiles a bit when Mayday splashes him and he does play with her. You and Mary Jane just watch in amusement.

Mayday hands her dad a little crab toy and hands a shark to Miguel. Miguel makes little "rah-rah" noises and pretends the shark "bites" Mayday and she giggles. Peter lets the intrusive thoughts win and he proceeds to squish the crab revealing that it squirts water and it does so right in Miguel's face.

"Really, Peter?"

A little while later and you guys are all back on shore; you and Mary Jane catch some sun and relax in the lounge chairs and the rest are making sand castles. Gwen and Miles work together to build one and theirs looks a little clumsy, but they're having fun. Hobie and Pavitr have the most visually pleasing looking sand castle complete with seashell decor. Miguel and Peter are taking this VERY seriously and are making a very large and structurally sound sand castle complete with multiple battlements and a moat.

For food, Miguel made sure to pack a variety of snacks and drinks for everyone to have throughout the day; there's plenty of fruit (he brought some tajin to spice it up!) There's chips, paletas, agua frescas, chicharrones, pan dulce, and what have you. You stayed up the night before packing everything into the coolers and ice chests. For food there's all kinds of fixings for tortas that way everyone can have them the way they like. Miguel packed plenty forgetting that not everyone has the hefty appetite he does, but he also rather he bring too much than not enough for everyone.

Miles is the one who suggests that you guys play volleyball and if you didn't know before, you learn that Miguel can get competitive. Hobie and Pavitr take a turn hanging with Mayday and Hobie jams on his guitar. The teams are Peter, Mary Jane, and Miles versus you, Miguel, and Gwen. If you're not a Spider-person then you and Mary Jane are the outliers among the group. The gang don't even realize they're using their spider abilities to play and it's best if the two of you back away slowly.

The team opposite of you got a point on your team and were gloating a little too much for Miguel's liking and Spider-Man 2099 felt it was an appropriate time to humble them. To say Miguel's serves are aggressive is an understatement.

During the game, Miguel's claws came out, much to his embarrassment, and they popped the ball.

You packed a spare.

When everyone returns to have fun in the water, you stay behind to comfort Miguel a bit. He's still a little sore about the volleyball incident.

Taking a break from the water, you sit under the umbrella on a towel next to where Mayday is and Miguel will come over and lay next to you and rest his head in your lap. You run your fingers through his hair and he starts to doze off for a minute.

He's been very busy trying to facilitate the outing at the beach despite you trying to tell him to hang back and let everyone else help out. He just can't help but take up the responsibilities.

Peter and Mary Jane brought supplies for s'mores!

You guys get a fire going as the sun goes down and enjoy some!

Miguel's never actually made a real s'more. He's had s'more flavored things and always found them too sweet for his liking, but he's willing to give this a go.

"Miguel, you have to leave the marshmallow in the fire longer than that!" You instruct trying to help guide the skewer back into the flames. "Is it supposed to be burnt??" "Just a little," you chuckle. "That's what makes it soft on the inside. It tastes fine, don't worry." You help him construct the s'more and he takes a bite. "Ay dios!" He says with a mouthful of s'more as the marshmallow squishes out the sides and gets on his hands.

As the day comes to a close, everyone helps clean up and bids each other goodbye.

It's just you and Miguel left on the beach and the two of you take a moment to enjoy the quiet of the night, the view of all the stars, and the sound of the waves on the shore before deciding to head back home.

"oh, sweet marmalade, look out everyone!" noir exclaimed in a hurried voice as he chased down a loose spider daughter through the halls and winding pathways of the spider society, his daughter babbling and giggling the whole while at the chase. you had followed behind your husband, despite having no powers of your own, you were practically superhuman already by being your daughter's other parent, which was no simply responsibility.

thanks to jess, you were able to have access to a few spider mom equipment she made in preparation for her own baby once it was born, and you promised to put everything you found back in its proper place--if you could just figure out how these darned devices worked. noir, on the other hand, was already wearing himself thin from all this chasing his daughter around the building, causing for a small scale alert to be sounded as a spider baby was deemed on the loose.

as noir was about to give out to his fatigue, he caught his daughter swinging over to the other side of east wing of HQ to the west side. "darling!" he called out for his daughter as you passed by noir, stopping abruptly and almost tripping as noir helped you up and ran with you to catch your daughter before she did serious harm to herself. everyone else was panicking too, they had missions to take care of on their own watch, but they all scrambled in panic to save your baby.

before you and noir could faint at the sheer pressure and anxiety you two were feeling right now, a black and red spider man swung in immediately to save the day. "gotcha!" he exclaimed as your daughter squealed and cooed as she squirmed in miles' arm. "ay, whose baby is this?" miles asked as he lowered himself to the ground, with you rushing over to miles as you called out for him and your daughter. miles couldn't believe it, she was your baby? "figures why she's so pretty, uh, who's the da--" "that'd be me, miles. glad to see ya again, fella." noir said in an exhausted tone, feebly tipping his hat as his legs finally gave out and he knelt on the floor due to sheer tiredness.

miles' eyes widened as he pointed from him to you and you to him, his mask's lenses widened as he realized--you two have a family now. "no way, first peter b, now peter, too?" he asked aloud in a surprised, happy voice. you and noir nodded in your out of breath and tired state, with your daughter trying to crawl out of your arms, but you not letting her. "sorry she's... phew, such a handful..." he breathed out as miles approached you two and entertained the young girl for a little to get you two to recuperate for a bit after that whole chase.

"she's a cutie! yes you are, lil cutie--ow!" miles exclaimed as your daughter pinched his cheeks when he got too close and she giggled. "right... i forgot to mention, she has spider powers, so..." noir said in an exhausted breath as miles managed to get her to let go, with his cheek stinging. he chuckled, however, and looked at you two. "if you'd like, i could try babysitting her with gwen. you two really look like you could use a break." he offered as you two practically lay on the ground, breathing heavily. "thanks, kid. we appreciate that." you answered for noir as he gave miles a weak thumbs up and slumped his arm back down on the ground as miles scooped your baby up from your arms, looks like he's gonna be a big spider brother in training this time around.

how did you first start visibly mending? do you have any resources or recommendations for someone looking to start learning how to do it? all of your stuff looks sick btw 🫡

Sorry I started answering this and then put in drafts and completely forgot about it🤙

I had seen some cool posts about mending and then found a hole in a pair of jeans and decided to try it!

There's a lot of awesome posts in the #visible mending, #clothing repair, #sashiko and #darning tags that can give you an idea of what kinds of mending interest you, and what types of repair might be most applicable to the damage/type of clothing you're working with. @wastelesscrafts has a lot of great resources for mending too!

If you're interested in visible mending, definitely think about the purpose of the repair, since that can influence what kinds of mending you might want to try. Do you want to close a hole? Fill it and make sure it doesn't get bigger? Stabilize and strengthen a weak bit of fabric, or keep it from fraying or unraveling? Different types of mends often lend themselves to different styles.

Usually I'm closing or filling in holes in flexible-ish fabric, so I tend to do a lot of patch + hand embroidery. There is a lot of versatility in terms of look and function! I recommend looking into sashiko, a Japanese style of embroidery that is great for mends and reinforcing fabric. Patches can also be done on a sewing machine, depending on the fabrics involved.

For some repairs, particularly on knitted fabrics and places where fabric patches might be awkward, darning is another great option. There are many techniques under the darning umbrella, but they typically consist of weaving with embroidery thread or yarn over a hole or worn fabric.

If you have any knitting experience or interest, there are lots of cool knit-repair (in)visible techniques, which are also concidered darning? I don't know that much about these because knitting does not agree with my brain, but they're a great option for certain types of clothes.

Overall, there's a wide variety of cool and useful techniques, depending on what you're repairing, what vibes you want, and what techniques are most accessible to you. Go nuts! And feel free to tag me if you post your mends!! I'd love to see them :)

WAR OF THE PRINCESSES

i finished catching up to this like 2 minutes ago [EDIT: WROTE THAT THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAYM NOW ITS 2 DAYS AGO] and i genuinely really liked this. for a manhua its amazing!! the plot is unique and keeps you guessing, the characters are entertaining and NOT cookie cutter cutouts of isekai tropes, theres been some interesting reveals and a lot of people in the comments were hating on ml but personally i found him super fun; hes very morally grey n has definite flaws but thats what makes him a good character to read about !! not to mention the main character herself is great. i hate that my bar for good manhwa/hwa characters has gone down to 'has more than 2 personality traits' but she is leaping over it for sure

ive read 2 chapters but i just think the 'evil character reincarmates into the pinnacle of goodness' trope is the funniest thing in the world. i have no clue if its going to be a generic collect the characters take over the world type of thing but i just think its funny and its the newest one ive read.

IT SEEMS I'VE TRANSMIGRATED SOMEWHERE

i have been waiting for aomethinf like this for SO LONG hahah the main character is so diddly darn confused the entire time cus in her past life shes read too much rofan etc and now cant figure out what novel shes trandmigrated into. regular manhwa reader fr,, anyway theres a strong case for second hand embarrassment in this one, especially in the first few chapters or so, but i genuinely really like this just cus its so self aware, it keeps poking fun at all the tropes and its a nice lighthearted read. also theres a decent amount of plot despite it all and OH I ALMOST FORGOT the male lead is an absolute 10 personalitywise i genuinely love him. hes here for drama and thats it its amazing. so yea id say tropey but Well Written super fun 👍👍👍

HIDING THE ARCHDUKE'S HUMILIATING HISTORY

i think this is the first manhwa ive read where the ml pisses himself in fear the first time he meets fl (theyre both children)(hes scared of something else not fl but still). anyway its nothing particularly unique but its pretty fun! its one of those novel isekai where mc reincarnates into a little kid and the structure makes it a sandwich which has been keeping me very invested. this isnt a very good advertisment but its a good way to pass the time i think. heres a nice reaction pic

oh my god??? just binged this whole thign in one go. first of all ots complete, second of all i guess you can say tjis is a character study in manhwa form. there isnt a particular overarching antagomist, its the characters learning to grow and face their own personal issues. but its also a slice of life, and lighthearted family drama, and comedy. its not a rofan this time lol. also the sibling relationships in susu, han are so good !! and theres so many lovely platonic relationships too. i really really enjoyed it.
