Even though I think it’s better for her character arc I’m still kind of offended that Hollyleaf didn’t get to be a part of the prophecy but Lionblaze did. Being an egomaniac and killing ppl is wrong unless it’s in battle and the egomaniac in question is male ig… esp if he is otherwise aggressively uninteresting and has proven time and time again that he can’t be trusted w any degree of power good choice Starclan (or… whoever?? Whatever?? Decides these things??)

How come you decided to make Hollylark and Sparkpelt mates?
I know they’re not related in this au but they are in canon
The most important reason is that because Sparkpelt is not related to Firestar in this rewrite (Bramble x Jessie), it would have borked ASC when it finally comes because Nightheart wouldn't be Firekin.
So I went to grab a Fire-descendant, but I'd already squished the plothole that half of the Clan is directly descended from Firestar by trading many of Lionblaze's children (Spotfur, Sorrelstripe, Fernsong) to other litters. So Hollytuft was the most obvious choice here
Especially since they just never did anything with her name and legacy. It's weird that Nightheart is having this arc about being reminded of someone he never met, while canon Hollytuft is casually sitting in the background. I think it makes more sense that his other mother was dealing with similar feelings before she died.
So at this point, I was ready to wrap up, but then I realized it wasn't obvious that something large had changed here. So I decided to combine Hollytuft's name with Larksong's, to make it clearer that this is a combination character taking the canonical role of Spark's mate. That's how we got to Hollylark.
And even if I wanted to just use Larksong, I already nipped that one by pruning Lilyheart's kids AND her mate. There's no Snowbush, Leafshade, or Honeyfur anymore, so there's not much space for Canon Larksong either.

I want there to be drama in thunderclan, i want there to be *real* pressure on the newest warriors--not because of firestar being related to all of them but simply because theyre the first warriors made after tbc arc, the most legitimate warriors who have new responsibilities and pressure to perform well as if thunderclan didnt suffer from such trauma and loss.
finchlight and nightheart being SPARKPELT’s children is an angle that should beplayed with. Afterall, as an apprentice sparkpelt was too powerful and skilled, she was outspoken like her son and mother, insisting to join in on the quest with Alderpaw. I want her kids to have that same pressure not because of firestar but simply because of HER. myrtlebloom was right to point out squirrelflight and bramblestar being soft on nightheart, theyre his grandparents and literally did help raise him. but thats as far as the comparisons should be.
