Better believe Desmond would apply these lessons

It would be so funny if Desmond was transported in Ikemen Sengoku after his death and he believes that he was just transported into his world’s past.

So he does the first thing he thought of…

Look for the Japanese Brotherhood.

He knows they should exist.

By the time Altaïr was 80, they had gotten in contact with Japan and had been building their own Brotherhood.

Desmond still remembered that.

And, hey, it’s the 15th century.

All he needs is a ship and a crew and he can sail to Italy to be with Ezio after he gets some help from the Japanese Brotherhood.

He already had his ‘cover story’ all worked out.

He’s a descendant of the Ibn-La'Ahads and he got shipwrecked while chasing a Templar who he already killed.

(Something in the back of his head that smelled like the sea and rum felt like it was laughing at his cover story but he just ignored that)

He’ll help out in exchange for them helping him secure a ship.

And then…

He saw her.

It was the way she carried herself.

The words she spoke.

He knew…

She was just like him.

Unfortunately, she was always surrounded by high ranking-

No.

By freaking daimyos.

Desmond has no idea how this young woman managed to get entangled with the most powerful men in this era but he has this sense of responsibility to look after her since they’re in the same boat.

… and he needed information.

The young woman looked like she had been in this situation far longer than him and he has not found any clues that the Japanese Brotherhood even exists so she’s his best lead.

So… he infiltrates Azuchi.

And…

What the hell was up with all these guys???

Why were they all drop dead gorgeous??? Something was absolutely off with this situation.

Look.

Desmond wasn’t vain and he has high standards when it comes to beauty (thanks, Ezio) but, my god, they all looked like they could be a boy band, not the warlords ordering people to die for this and that reason.

When he finally manages to get to the young woman, she had been absolutely surprised to see him, not because he did appear in her bedroom out of nowhere but because he was a foreigner.

And he learned two things:

(1) She’s been here for a while and she has a friend named Sasuke who is trying to find a way to bring her back to her present day

(2) She’s not weirded out by the fact she’s surrounded by hot dudes. Sure, she thinks they’re handsome but she doesn’t think this is weird.

And that’s when Oda Nobunaga came upon them.

They managed to bluff their way into making it seem like Desmond is a foreign ninja (not exactly wrong?) who had been close to her family and that he was there to help her get back to her family.

He knows Oda Nobunaga doesn’t believe that but he also let Desmond stay.

Obviously to keep an eye on him but Desmond’s going to let it go because…

Something is off with this entire thing and being this close to the biggest evidence (all warlords are hot) and his only clue (the young woman named Mai) are his best bet to figuring out what the hell is happening here.

Unorganized Notes:

When he saw the warlords of Kasugayama Castle, he flipflops between “of course they’re all handsome too” and “whhhhyyy???”

Desmond takes a backseat over the entire thing. He doesn’t help with the fighting because he doesn’t have enough information to know if there is even a right side in this one or if both sides are selfish bastards destroying the peace of the land for their own greed. Of course, because he is staying with the Azuchi Warlords, he can be persuaded… maybe. He still remembers the Auditores’ loyalty to the Medici and George Washington’s betrayal so it’s a toss up.

He doesn’t trust Oda Nobunaga but he is polite when he’s talking to him. He starts to warm up to him once he starts to learn about Nobunaga’s ideas that were surprisingly progressive considering the time.

Mai becomes like a younger sister to him and he even gives her some self-defense lessons (sorry, Mitsuhide)

Oh, speaking of Mitsuhide. They’re completely suspicious of one another. Desmond doesn’t know enough of history to know that Mitsuhide is supposed to betray Nobunaga and his suspicion is based on Mitsuhide’s actions.

He’s nice to Masamune because he saw him caring for his troops. His bartender skills comes to play once and that’s how he learned how Masamune can’t hold his liquor.

He and Tokugawa butt heads a lot because Tokugawa thinks of him as a freeloader. After that, he hunted and smacked Tokugawa with raw meat and… that’s the start of their sorta feud XD

Hideyoshi and him get along quite well, especially since he saw Hideyoshi treat Mai like a big brother. He thinks “finally, a reasonable dude” then sees how devoted he is to Nobunaga and goes “ah, nevermind”. Still, he and Hideyoshi are what many would call… friends.

Mitsunari reminds him of Leonardo and Shaun combined so he has a soft spot for him. He tries not to show it and Hideyoshi finds it adorable.

And just when Desmond was trying to get a hang of his life here, Sasuke finally gets in touch with Mai and Sasuke recognizes him…

As Desmond Miles, the modern day protagonist of the first 5 games of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise.

(So @princesslikefanfics likes Mitsuhide and I played the early sections of Nobunaga and that’s why Mai is following the Azuchi Warlords route. If anyone wants an idea of him with the Kasugayama Warlords, let me know XD)

A fic concept:

Three thousand years of longing AU where you're a history professor specializing in Sengoku era particularly Oda Nobunaga's life and you're attending a conference in Kyoto. In your desire to buy a souvenir, you chance upon an old replica of Fudou Yukimitsu, a tanto once owned by Nobunaga, sold at an antique shop. You bought it, happy with your purchase (despite its being a little pricey). In your hotel room, you cleaned the short sword, but then lo! Smoke filled the whole room and after it dissipated Oda Nobunaga stood before you, wearing his most imperious expression.

"Oh? Someone dared summon me?" he began, looking down at you with an eyebrow raised, clearly skeptical. "Your ambition must be lofty, then. Very well, I shall grant you one wish. Let us hear it."

You blinked at this Nobunaga-lookalike and then glanced at the closed window. This cosplayer must've sneaked in as the smoke rendered you temporarily blind. You wondered about the state of security of the hotel.

When you returned to him, the man was radiating impatience and a hint of a frown emerged on his lips.

"I'm sorry," you finally said. "If you're trying to troll me because of my presentation this morning, I'm gonna have to report you to the authorities."

Nobunaga-lookalike didn't react for a moment. But then a smirk replaced his impatient frown.

"A scholar who studies my life?" he deduced. "And yet, who doesn't recognize the man standing here right now."

It turned out, he was the real deal. Oda Nobunaga. For some supernatural reason he became a youkai after the fires of Honnou-ji and was cursed to grant wishes to whoever summoned him from the (authentic!) Fudou Yukimitsu sword.

You, being an Oda Nobunaga scholar, found this to be wild but fortuitous. Here he was! In the supernatural flesh! He could answer all your burning questions! Take that, academic rivals!

Except, he refused to answer them because he didn't feel like narrating the story of his life. Too long, too juicy. So what you did was outline his life and just asked him if your knowledge was accurate and correct, after which you proceeded with interviewing him about his life as a youkai. He was still mum about it, and would rather hear your wish.

"But you're here," you said, "talking to me. It shouldn't be possible but here you are. This is like my greatest wish come true."

I don't know what happens after that. I guess Nobunaga stays and it's going to be a slice of life where he marvels at the progress of Japanese society as you try to gently nudge him into revealing his life as a wish-granting youkai. You both fall in love and there's going to be snu snu. At the end of the story you'll wish Nobunaga to be free of his curse and that will make him disappear. But being OP, Nobunaga uses his remaining youkai powers to make himself mortal again so he can live out his days with you. Happy ever after, the end.

Followers Celebration... hm...?

I reached my 300th follower milestone near the end of 2023, but I was too busy to come up with a celebration at that time. So, like I did a couple years ago, I'm going to combine the celebration with my tumblrversary (which will be the end of this month).

So.... tap... tap... tap... what should I do?

Here are my ideas so far, and it might end up being a combination of these, but I thought I would crowd survey (see below the survey for an expansion of these ideas).

So... what do these options mean?

Roadside warlords/princes. Requestor sends a photo, description of the strangest roadside/tourist attraction in their state/country + plus one or two Cybird warlords & princes who end up visiting it. Fic will likely be dialog.

I start a story, and after each scene sequence, create a survey on what happens next (options will likely be chaotic).

Did anything ever happen "off stage" in Ikesen that you want to read about (e.g. in Masamune's dramatic route, Yukimura rescued Masamune from the temple fire; or Mai & Nobunaga's adventures on their European trip... but we never see these things happen). Requestor asks for a scene that is canon but happens off stage.

Did anything happen in any of Katsuko's stories that you want to read more about (e.g. what happened when Shingen and Sasuke went to that lingerie store?), or any side OCs that you want a story about (Shohime? Sute? Toshiie? Aki?), or any "after the epilogue" stories you want (e.g., another story set in any of the longfic routes that happen 6 months later).

Return of Cursed Bingo . I never did get a full bingo the last time around. Should I continue the card? (If I can find it).

Collab fic ... write with me! This would probably take the form of 4-5 letters back and forth, with characters (or OCs) to be discussed with requestor.

Falling for You Content Creator Challenge

Happy Fall Everyone! @judejazza and I decided to try our hand at a content creation challenge!

This will be an entirely SFW challenge!!

This challenge will run from October 15th-November 30th I’ll be making and (will try to be) updating a masterlist as the challenge goes on

(However, you have to give me as many details about your OC as possible. £1 per additional 100 words ie:

PROCESS:

-We discuss your idea.

-I’ll write either an outline, a few rough paragraphs, or both, to check and see if it’s what you wanted.

-This is the point where I invoice you!! The price is based upon the word count (If I happen to go over, I will not charge you extra).

-I work on the oneshot! If you want progress updates, ask for them! I’ll happily provide updated text. I’ll do my best to keep you updated, and you may still message me with any concerns, so long as you keep in mind that I work and have other commitments. I’ll aim to have your commission done within a month from when you first asked for it depending on the word count.

Once the fic is completed, I’ll email it to you via google docs. I’ll make any adjustments you want too.

Hello! I recently discovered your blog and I have to say your masterlist is to die for. I am absolutely impressed by the variety of stories you've written for the same cast of characters! And I'm really looking forward to your multichapter fics. Your talent is just amazing!

Before I get too lost in fangirling over your fics, my question to you is this. Do you tend to lean more towards fluff or angst when you plan your stories? And do you know any other ikemen multichapter fics (they seem few and far between)? Thank you and have a nice day lovely writer! ❤️

Hello lovely Anon ❤️ That's so super awesome of you to say, I wasn't expecting this at all. Thank you for making my morning!

To answer your (first?) question, I suppose when I come up with ideas for fics it starts with:

1) Selecting the character(s). 2) Deciding on the main character/perspective. 3) Thinking of a conflict that would arise between the character(s), internal and external.

I tend to enjoy writing/reading stories that center around a believable conflict, so I guess that means I tend to default to angst more often. But that isn't to say stories without conflict can't be interesting or stories with conflict must be angsty! It's a wide world, fanfic writing is.

And for your (second?) question, I'm so so happy you asked about this because I've been looking for an excuse to talk about multichapter fics! I see that longfics in general aren't as appreciated in the ikemen fandom, at least when compared to their short fic & headcanon cousins, so please allow me to gush for a moment about these talented writers and their wonderful works!

In the case of Ikemen Prince, @leonscape and her AU series. As of now she's written for Leon and Clavis, but I believe she has plans for the rest of the princes as well. The way she handles her insane cast of OCs is astounding on its own, but there are fabulous stories underneath the surface that really attach you to them. And @myonlyjknight has a very interesting AU herself with The Rhodolite Princess that I am just waiting for the perfect evening with a mug of hot chocolate to dive into.

And I am not too familiar with Ikemen Sengoku, but I have to highlight @the12thnightproject and @lorei-writes for their astoudning multi-chapter & longfic works. Their masterlists are goliaths of skill and dedication, and I admire them both greatly. Every time I see them post a chapter, I just want to fist bump them.

Lastly, I'm giving an honorable mention to @venulus and her new multichapter fic I'm the Hellhound, so I'm Taming the Hellcat. We're in a similar boat now, starting out on new series, and it's nice to have a buddy along for the ride 💪

Multichapter works and longfic searches late into the night were a staple of my high school years, so it's my hope that kind of love and appreciation is extended to the next generation of writers and readers. And my knowledge of the ikemen fandom is still very limited, so if anyone knows of any other works or writers that I missed please to add them to this list!

LONGFIC INTEREST CHECK

So, there are several longfics that I have started working on. Talking about stories that are most likely gonna reach light novel lenght. And I like each idea equally. However, I think I need to focus on one at a time. Otherwise I might get nowhere. So, I would like to ask you guys what you would be most interested in. Here's a description of each.

Lady of the Takeda (Ikemen Sengoku)

Set after the end of Shingen's route and is set in the I-perspective of either an OC or reader. Just because there's peace between the Takeda and Oda doesn't mean that nothing's gonna happen. And being THE lady of a clan like the Takeda brings its very own trials with it.

Rose of the East (Saint Seiya x Sailor Moon crossover)

This one is set in medieval Japan, shortly before the country shut its borders to the rest of the world. Albafica is a Swede who by circumstances gets stranded there. However, he meets Makoto Kino, and love blossoms between them. However, Japan's anti-foreigner stance at that time doesn't make it exactly easy for them.

Inkmaster (Naruto modern AU)

Ino stumbles into Sai's tattoo shop one day, determined to get one. However, she found more than only a tattoo. And there is more to the pale tattooist than meets the eye.

Angel of Winter (Bleach angel AU)

I have already written over 10 chapters for this. My plan now is to do a quick overhaul, include what I forgot to include and then to repost it and also finally finish it. It is a HitsuKarin story set in an angel AU, where the characters are angels/nephilim instead of Shinigami.

I will keep working on other fics too, but with these big ones, it might be a good idea to focus on one. So here's a poll to see what you guys would be most eager to read. n.n They can be found on my AO3 account. If necessary, just ask for the link and I will send it to you. desmond would definitely be the type to accidentally woo the og fm/otome protagonist AND the harem + bg characters. with the ikemen sengoku, it would be funny if desmond’s route is only unlocked after the mc finishes the entire game and gets all the ending cue the twist of video game protagonist! desmond getting isekaied. His bad route is probably going to be desmond sacrificing himself again :/ …. normal route is desmond just booking it and never finding the truth of who he actually was, rip pov outsider.

Those four or so years where I played the Ikemen series religiously just came out of the woodwork to smack me in the face. Sasuke renamed himself after a fictional ninja the moment he went back in time, the STARS he'll have in his eyes upon meeting Desmond. ... and I can definitely see Kenshin going after Desmond. Whether it's for a fight or otherwise, even he doesn't know

Desmond had no plans to do such a thing in the first place. He has no idea why the hell any of these was happening to him.

He doesn’t understand that, because he’s an unknown character, whatever system is in place in the world sees him as a ‘player character’ which means… people have easier time to fall in love with him because of his personality.

I like to imagine that Desmond was given a buff in their affection rating like in the normal mode of “Villains are Destined to Die” where the ‘player character’ gets a 30% affinity already to the possible love interests like a “we’re sorry you’re stuck in our world” kind of apology buff from the ‘gods’ of this world.

Of course, that additional affinity is just there to make sure Desmond doesn’t get on the bad sides of the powerful men from the get go and can still go down or up, depending on Desmond’s action.

Sasuke would be the one to talk about Multiverses and such and how Desmond’s existence could mean that they themselves are a work of fiction in a different world.

Desmond is like “yeah, I get what you’re talking about but that’s not really helpful to our current situation?” which would embarrass Sasuke because he got too fired up about it.

So in this one, they sorta know Desmond’s true identity because Sasuke played Assassin’s Creed (for the history) so Sasuke gives them the idea that maybe a POE is also somewhere here since Desmond’s here.

It’s a long shot but it’s a possibility that they can’t just dismiss.

And that is the start of Desmond’s route. Depending on the player’s actions, the player character would later switch to Desmond for the secret BL route! (Which has a harem ending because why not?)

(Kenshin’s route is more on the side of enemies-to-lovers route with Desmond actually getting a headache over how ‘devoted’ to fighting Kenshin is).

His bad ending is them finding the POE and learning that it can be used to bring them back to their proper time and dimension BUT they will come back to it at the exact time they left so Desmond will return to his world only to die from the device ‘again’. He still goes through with it though because he wants to get Mai and Sasuke back to their time and he believes he’s been living in borrowed time. The normal ending, I believe, is Desmond not using the POE and finally leaving everyone with the idea that, if he’s stuck in this world, he’ll build a Brotherhood somewhere he’s more familiar with: Italy. In other words, the normal ending has Desmond alive but alone in a whole other country with no idea what happens to him afterwards.

The part where Desmond books it and no one finds out who he truly is would work as the ‘failed’ event of unlocking Desmond’s route.

To even unlock Desmond’s route, there would be two conditions:

(1) Finished all the endings for each route.

(2) Start a new game and go to a specific event that lets Mai walk in town (this will show up as a new ‘option’ during one of the early parts of the game)

(3) Choose the “Don’t scream” when Mai wakes up one night with a shadow looming above her after the previous event on condition (2).

If all conditions are done, Desmond is unlocked as a possible route but to get to the Desmond’s route, the choices to develop his affection must be chosen.

The condition to change to Desmond as the main character and enter the BL route is to actually develop his affection up to 30% only but keep all affections to other characters at 29% or below before Sasuke appears and tells Mai and Desmond that Desmond is a character from the franchise Assassin’s Creed.

“Please tell me you're not planning an uprising,” you say as you open your office door and find Kicho brewing coffee from the coffee maker—comfortably like he owns the place.

A/N: Another installment in the college/university AU!

The walk back to your office is long and quiet, but the fresh memory of the meeting occupies your thoughts. The day is busy for a Thursday, with this emergency meeting pushing all your other appointments to a later date.

Really, why can't they put Professor Uesugi on a leash. The moment you read the email, your brows flew off your forehead because Professor Michel was also involved. Sure you know Uesugi to be an eccentric professor with a penchant for morbid troublemaking, but you never expected Michel to take the bloody bait. If it weren't for the pay, you'd have opted for a career change.

The office, when you enter, feels more hushed than usual, and you wonder whether the mood of the meeting transferred psychically to your department. Knowing this university, anything can happen.

Your secretary waves to catch your attention.

“Why does the office feel like a funeral?” you ask as you make your way towards her, your shoes clacking on the smooth, tiled floor.

She whispers frantically, “He's here, he's here!”

Ah. You know who she's talking about.

Kicho, the university president's executive secretary, is better known in the campus as an ambitious puppet master. Three years ago he left the College of Social Sciences to join President Yoshiaki's staff. Some say it had been because of a disagreement between him and the dean, but when you asked Nobunaga about it he just shrugged and said, “Kicho is free to do whatever he wants.”

Others speculate that Kicho planned on getting a VP position, and he needed to show Yoshiaki what he could do. Needless to say, the three years since his departure as a modern history professor has been ... well, colorful is a word to describe it. You and Kicho weren't closely acquainted during his professorship, but that changed when he began to invade the HR department weekly in an effort to topple Yoshiaki's tenure.

“Please tell me you're not planning an uprising,” you say as you open your office door and find Kicho brewing coffee from the coffee maker—comfortably like he owns the place.

He doesn't blink at your arrival, or your greeting; he's focused on the exact measurement of coffee in the mug with an I <3 COFFEE design (a silly gift from Professor Arthur in an attempt to get on your good graces).

“No comeback?” you go on. “Must be a good day.”

“I've vetoed four of his suggestions to build statues of him around the campus,” Kicho says, calmly, around his mug, “and he didn't blow a fuse. It is a good day.”

Also famous: his hatred of President Yoshiaki. There's a joke circulating in your department that Kicho is actually the president of the school, as it's he who ultimately makes executive decisions for everything. Miraculously, Yoshiaki continues to be none the wiser.

“Why he couldn't see who you really are, I will never know.”

“He's blinded with his power and his privilege,” Kicho comments as he settles himself on the couch next to your bookshelf. He takes one book out, folds his legs, and starts reading. You're left gaping at him and his audacity.

“Do you have the extra time to—to—lounge about like that?” you sputter, entertaining the idea of snatching the book out of his hands.

Kicho pauses and finally graces you a flat stare. “You're the only person in this institution who understands what I want.”

That's a lie, but also the truth. Kicho's never revealed what he truly wants; when you finally managed to corner him one time, three weeks into his being the executive secretary to Yoshiaki, and asked him about his motivations, Kicho only studied you and answered, “Watch me.” Ever since then he's been a staple figure in your work, complaining about his boss in a way that an employee of Cybird University shouldn't say in front of the director of human resources.

“Sure,” you say, suddenly wary. “But it's not like we can remove him at will.”

And then something changes.

Kicho lifts his head and looks at you, his gaze sharpened with something calculating that has you freezing in your place. Your heartbeat accelerates, and in your years in this institution you've developed a sixth sense for anything that spells out trouble (blame Professor Clavis for that). Kicho's posture screams trouble—and the only question is how dangerous, how hypertension-inducing it's going to be.

You gulp. “Kicho?”

Kicho hums. Takes another sip of coffee while never leaving your gaze.

“Like I said earlier—please don't tell me you're planning an uprising.”

“I'm not,” he says breezily.

A nervous laughter. “That's good, that's good! For a second there I thought you're going to stage a coup d'etat against Yoshiaki—”

“My plan has already been set in motion,” he interrupts, and he says it like he's talking about the weather. You feel like you've aged twenty years. “And I'm going to make you the new president.”

“I'm sorry—what?”

Endnotes:

Kicho has been planning to kick Yoshiaki out of his position since his infamous promotion. He just didn't execute it right away because he hasn't found the perfect candidate to replace him.

You and Nobunaga are drinking buddies, so you're comfortable addressing him by his first name -- a fact that didn't escape Kicho's notice.

Months into your promotion as the HR Director, Clavis blew up a parking lot for an experiment. Your first instinct is to fire him, but Dean Sariel told you that this is unfortunately a regular occurrence. You couldn't believe that because you never got news of anything like that before your promotion.

In those three years of Kicho being an executive secretary, he has told you that he'd been seriously thinking of rebelling against Yoshiaki a grand total of seventeen times. You gave him coffee each time he said that.

Professor Arthur deduced that you're a fellow coffee lover like him; hence, the mug. It's also a bribe because he was about to order an expensive espresso machine using the college budget.

Cursed Bingo 2024

The nature of this celebration depends on a combination of Asks and Fate, in a game of Cursed Bingo.

How does it work?

You, via the ask box:

Pick up to three characters, from Ikemen Sengoku or the "Katsuverse."

Pick one or two of the prompts from the list of 30 prompts below

Tell me what level of spice you are comfortable with: SFW, Steamy, or NSFW. Most likely, the stories will be SFW or slightly spicy (even if you are ok with NSFW), but if you aren’t comfortable with anything beyond SFW, I need to know.

Examples of asks: “Kenshin, Nobunaga; "This isn't What it Looks Like," Body Swap; Steamy” or “Sasuke; Stuck in a Time Loop; Poem; NSFW”

What will you receive?

I have no idea – Cursed Bingo is a celebration of pure chaos. You might end up with Masamune, Motonari, and Hideyoshi in an Iron Chef style cooking duel. You might end up with a sweetly romantic Mitsunari x MC scene. You might end up with a poem from Kenshin, sent to you via postcard (likely a Canva collage of some kind, as writer is in no way an artist).

Fate:

A randomizer will be used to arrange 25 of the 30 available prompts onto a bingo card (see example below)

I’ll be the only person who knows which numbers are on the card, and where they fall

As the numbered prompts are picked, I will mark off the bingo card

When the card gets close to ‘bingo’ I’ll let you know

As soon as a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal bingo is picked, it’s a Cursed Bingo, and fate decrees that I must include all five prompts from that bingo in a single fic (note, the person whose prompt pick triggers the bingo will still get their prompt fic… cursed bingo is a bonus for all… except me ~sob~)

Notes:

The prompts will generally decide the content of the piece, but I don’t write rape/non-con/dub con; underage sex; assault; major character death; animal abuse/death; pregnancy; slash; explicit sex (it’s not in my skill set, unless you want to read unintentional comedy); second person POV (usually not).

Length of piece primarily depends on chosen prompts (some prompts, such as mood boards and poetry, naturally lend themselves to shorter material)

Once a prompt is picked twice, it will be deleted from the available list

no, sadly i don’t. i try to write everyday, but it doesn’t always go as planned because of school stuffs and house stuffs. and sometimes i just don’t feel motivated to write. but i think that writing everyday would probably lead to burnout (unless it’s a journal).

🧠 What’s an idea you have that you can’t quite call a WIP yet?

the ikemen vampire fic i was thinking about. it never got its own special file cabinet in my brain it’s still just floating around in the void of ideas. it’s possible i might actually commit and write it all down but it’s not a one shot so it’ll take some planning. unlike the ikesen fic idea i had, i haven’t really chosen names or really settled on any specific details. but essentially, it’s about a girl from the sengoku era that becomes a vampire and ends up at le comte’s mansion. she befriends le comte’s son (or leonardo’s i haven’t decided who i should give children to lol) but she learns how to live a simple life and she learns how to see the beauty in the world through the different mediums of art. but a small little twist: kinda like how napoleon was a different kind(?) of vampire, she’s also different; her eating habits require the blood of a vampire instead of human. it’s kind of taking a bit of inspiration from isaac as well if you know what i mean. and also i thought it would be interesting if she was sort of bonded to comte as well? like if she ever met vlad and he tried to mind control her, he can’t because her loyalties belong to her sire.

there’s still a bit more questions i haven’t answered but y’all could ask anything if you’re curious about a certain thing 🦁💕

I’ve gotten back into Ikemen Sengoku but entirely for the purpose of shaking this fanfic out of my head. I really like the idea of a formidable noble lady but people seem to constantly forget or be ignorant of the fact that noble ladies weren’t always decorative or helpless; sometimes they were trained. 

They may not be killing swathes of men on the battlefield but it was their responsibility to make sure the castle was still standing when their lord got back and I want to lean into that. Nobunaga and the other warlords would not be overly surprised by a woman having fighting skills. There were plenty of Japanese women warriors - onna-bugeisha -  but I see the ‘omg she can fight!’ often in ikesen fic and it drives me nuts.

Okay so combining votes from both polls I put up (one here, one on a diff app), and if my math is correct, 6 votes went to Genshin Impact while 14 went to Ikemen Sengoku.

I dont know why Im surprised. I kinda forgot the majority of my account centers around Ikemen Sengoku so of course that won. However, I kinda realized that my current modern au idea doesn't really work for Ikesen. So I'll use that one for a Genshin interactive. BUT! I do have another idea that can work as an interactive Ikesen fic, it just wont be a modern au. I wont have to change much, just put it back into the 16th century and come up with plot points.

I apologize for this sudden change of plan, but I'll try to get these two fics to follow the same schedule and keep them around the same chapter length. I still do plan on updating my masterlist tho :)
