spreading the agenda that zoro is very much a feminist.

i feel like he's the type who believes in equal opportunities for women. from the start, he got angry at kuina for downplaying his hard work and saying that he's gonna win in the future just because he's a "boy". anyways i feel like this fact is further amplified when he met with tashigi in punk hazard. zoro told her that he'll let her lead for a while but if anything goes wrong, he'll take over. in a way, this shows how he's giving tashigi a chance to showcase her strength but he's also there to help her if she needs it (not that he doubts she will). his version of feminism can be seen in the latest ep of one piece cuz the fact that he says "trust vivi" shows that he wants the crew to believe that vivi is strong enough to protect herself.

also just a slight observation... i think that post-time skip zoro is much softer towards women than pre-timeskip zoro. pre-timeskip, he almost broke someones skull in the bounty hunter island place (i forgot what its called 😭). meanwhile... post-timeskip, he didnt use his haki when slashing monet in punk hazard. while i love to believe that its bcs of perona's rambling during his training arc, i think it might also be bcs he's encouraging tashigi to take action and show her strength.

and made a hc that he'll turn into a women after becoming the world's greatest swordsman, ily. he would most definitely do that cuz he doesnt give af about gender.

“I mean,” Nami said, “I definitely would’ve thought you’d’ve noticed the calendar full of naked women on my desk.”

Sanji gaped. “But that’s—” he spluttered, gesturing aggressively. “Those are all old, classy woodblock prints! I thought you meant it in, like, an artsy, feminist way!”

“I did, sorta,” Nami shrugged. “Just also meant it in a ‘I like tits’ way.”

Sanji went impossibly redder at this. Nami was starting to worry for his health.

“You… you always got so offended whenever…” He cleared his throat desperately. “Whenever any of the guys had material… like that.”

Nami blinked at him. “Well, yeah, because you all have bad taste in porn.”

Sanji was looking like he might require a fainting couch to spontaneously materialize below him. “I… what?”

“I mean, I don’t think I’ve seen a single bush in any of those magazines. It’s like, get real.” She plopped her chin into her palm. “I guess Zoro’s stuff is okay, if you’re into that, but that’s on account of,” she twirled her other hand in the air, “y’know.”

Sanji gave a confused, disbelieving laugh. “What… Ha… I mean. Zoro doesn’t have porn. I don’t think he even thinks about that sort of thing.” He blinked. “And what do you mean by ‘y’know’?”

Nami stared at him. Sanji’s mind was truly fascinating. “Uh, he definitely does,” she said mildly.

“Wha— Where?!” Sanji nearly shouted. Nami’s eyebrows shot up. “I mean—” He was really sweating now, forehead about to start dripping. “He doesn’t seem the type.”

Nami cleared her throat, sitting back up against her chair. “I think… it’d be better if you asked him about that?” She tapped her fingers. “Anyway. Yeah. Big Lez. Notorious women lover. You get the idea.” She thought “dyke” might be a bit much considering Sanji was clearly already experiencing dangerous heart palpitations.

Aragorn (Lord of the Rings/The Tolkien Legendarium)

Aragorn’s character serves as one of the more immediate progenitors of the Paladin as we understand them, along with rangers as well. For perhaps the most beloved fantasy of the modern era, he brings me of the traits we associate with paladins, being a passionate errant force for good wielding a blade of fire and light against the forces of darkness. Beyond that, he’s by all accounts a moral, charismatic stand out character in a great work full of them, but perhaps most importantly, though he is the king, he is not someone who demands attention as the hero of the story, but is kind and considerate as well as brave in his actions. Lord of the Rings as a work is the source of much of the fantasy tropes and character concepts we still use today, but as much as we like to tweak or subvert them, the classic remains a classic for a reason. I submit Aragorn for the Paladin Tournament.

Roronoa Zoro (One Piece)

He’s fiercely loyal to the people he loves, and there’s an oath he made with his childhood best friend that he is very determined to fulfill or die trying. Other things about him: he’s a feminist, he’s extremely petty, he’s a 19 year old alcoholic, he’s suicidal, hes gonna be the worlds greatest swordsman with three swords up his ass, hes literally just some guy, hes the one piece equivalent of tony hawk. hes even gay

Zoro's Oath, to never lose again, and promise to his childhood friend Kuina and his captain Monkey D. Luffy to become the World's Greatest Swordsman. He wields not one, not two, but Three Swords! That thrice more than what a traditional paladin would carry! He has showed religious simbology in his attacks, despite not actually praying to any God per se. Is mostly Buddhist things, likely because the author thinks it looks cool (he is correct). Zoro has a paladin-like aura that intimidates his enemies. Dude shows up not in shining armor, but covered in blood. And yeah, it's mostly HIS blood, but not for long. But the thing that can be seem most of a Paladin is in that he protects his crew, which on can see as a kingdom, the most loyal Knight to the future King of Pirates.
