Lately, I’ve been thinking about how there is actually a sense of hope found in Bruno’s story.

He’s just a kid when he loses everything. His mom, and then the only home he’s ever known.

But despite this, he ends up meeting some kids who would turn out to be the best, most loyal and caring friends of all. Finding a new home in the place that was once meant to be his enemy.

Of course, we know how it goes from here - he can’t stay forever, because the curse in his blood eventually awakens. And he cares just as much about them, so he has to make the painful choice to leave so they won’t get hurt (or worse, die).

But when he disappears, they miss him so bad. They don’t give up on him. They’re still looking around everywhere whenever they have a chance, hoping to find him, hoping to find out that he’s alright.

And when it’s revealed that Prince Bruno, a prince of Embla - their enemy - is their old friend Zacharias, they do not care if he should be their enemy. They do not care if he hid the truth from them all these years. What they do care about is, he’s alive. He’s alive, and he is *not* going to get himself killed now, because they won’t let him, they love him far too much.

They give him the hope and strength to carry on.

He does die, years later still, but it is out of love. He loves his sister, and has the opportunity to give her the freedom he never got to have.

And he dies, and is so, so, loved.

It may not be known or cared about by a large amount of people, but to those who had the good fortune of getting to know him, Prince Bruno of Embla, Zacharias of Askr, is so very missed. His presence mattered. His life made an impact on them. He was loved, very much by those who he loved.

There is much tragedy behind his life’s story, but in between all of that, there is hope.

Despite all the terrible things he had gone through, he still found love, and it carried on even after he died.

It’s a beautiful, heart-aching thing.

So Ive been cooking up a Fire Emblem Heroes x Pokemon crossover for a few years where Kiran is basically Nemona but less crazy and she just bumps into Alfonse and Sharena after the Gustav hired her to be the Askr Region's first Champion. Kiran basically just decides to train Alfonse and Sharena to be her perfect rivals out of boredom and also decides to pretend to a normal, albeit more experienced, trainer and precedes to not tell the two of them untill either someone rug pulls her or untill Al and Sharena reach the league championship.

Also, I have an idea where the Askr region will share a Pokemon league with Embla, but have their own sets of gym leaders much like Kanto and Johto do.

Other than that, I haven't done much with this AU crossover bc of the main fic I'm writing. I do have ideas for who will have what Pokemon for Kiran, Al, Sharena, Anna, Veronica and Bruno all written down in a Google doc, but it occurred to me that beyond the whole thing where Kiran is hiding her champion status, I haven't really decided what the main conflict will be. I'm thinking maybe Letizia might form a Pokemon Team similar to team Rocket, but more sinister but Idk im not completely sold on this idea yet.

Also random idea, but Fjorm and her family will likely have a similar dynamic with Kiran as they do in canon where she rescues one of them from a bad snowstorm and they're her pushy friends. Ylgr is the closest person to beating Kiran in a league battle though as a sort of "looks can be deciving" type deal. Ylgr is likely going to be an ice type specialist that is a lot stronger than most trainers her age.

Also, Btw this fic will likely be from Al's pov bc I'm a simp. That is all.

That's all I got so i guess im just looking for more ideas. I'll leave link to the doc if y'all want an idea of who has what Pokemon on their teams. If this feels like its all over the place, that's because for me planning a fanfic plot is ultimate chaos in my head. Nothing happens in order lol.

"Latest sample for the next university merch drop. Just for you." Kiran stared at the white hoodie shoved into their hands. A piece of paper falls out its pocket when they tried to get a look at it. "Fill up the feedback form before the end of the day. And return the hoodie. Unless you want to buy it, of course." Anna winked at them before ushering them through the campus gates.

I think I'm being kidnapped.

"Miss- uh.. Anna? I think you got the wrong person." Kiran tried to do a 180 and bolt out but Anna seems to catch them after every attempt.

"Oh course I do! I always recognized a good investment." Anna fished out her phone and showed Kiran a screenshot from a dance battle livestream a couple of days back, zooming in until Kiran is face to face with themselves. "You make some good music."

Oh my gods, I am getting kidnapped.
