Since the arguments about Wolfwoods age is beginning to start up again. Info taken from this post by @tantei-armin . As well, here's another post with screen caps from the manga. Both Livio and Wolfwood are legally adults.

Edit (same day as posted): Some people are wondering in the tags where this is coming from, so I thought I'd clear it up for those who are confused.

This rumour comes from the manga panels which talk about how from the serum and surgeries Wolfwood's metabolism is faster, and so he doesn't look the age he should look. Since Wolfwood was never explicitly given a set number for his age, and if you're not paying attention to the context, some people have assumed this meant that he's actually still a minor at the time trigun is set, while in reality he's been confirmed to be in his early/mid twenties, and so would look like he's in his late twenties/early thirties (and it would make very little sense for Stampede to have changed the ages for the characters). It's alright to be a bit confused, since it's not ever explicitly stated; however, this rumour that he's a minor has then been used as slander for ship wars. I've only seen one recent post calling Vashwood an underage ship, but it looks like it was a bit of an issue in the old fandom, and I (and I think most people) would prefer the newer fandom to avoid that if possible. Again, just going to reiterate using the blocking function liberally for things you don't like!

Edit (Apr 15): as another person so kindly explained on a reblog it wasn't actually a problem in the old fandom; it's always been a small minority of people, often those who are against queer relationships in the first place, who've used it as a way to slander others.

Quahaug Concept Art

Quahaug's concept/reference art! Translation notes and image id under the cut.

Translation notes:

"OP sort of powerset" was literally translated as something like "cheat-like." I feel like OP is the more common English term for that sort of thing, so that's what I used, but some of the meaning was probably lost there.

"Older-tween-ish" was specifically a reference to a particular middle school year for children who are about 12-13 years old. Since grades and names of grades vary a lot from country to country, I just went with "older tween."

There is a close up of the ceremonial dressing's fastenings underneath the metal decoration. Some more notes highlight details on his staff, emphasizing the hourglass on top and the small wheel to the side that can be turned to flip the hourglass. A larger piece of text underneath one fullbody drawing reads, "Character Who Manipulates Time."

On the second half of the second page, there are drawings of some beta designs for Quahaug. He looks much more punk-ish. On one bust-up portrait, there are the captions, "The burden of the time demon caused some of his hair to go gray…." and "All-natural highlighted tips." On the same portrait, he is snapping his fingers, and there's a note that reads, "Manipulating time is as easy as snapping your fingers. You just have to want it or whatever." A speech bubble near his head reads, "I don't think of Anna as a mother." A caption pointing to some green markings on his arm reads, "Demonic time seal on body." In a fullbody drawing of his beta design (which is made up mostly of chains that barely cover him as well as a long roughed-up cloak, there is the note, "Almost naked cloak."

At the bottom of the second page, there is another note that reads, "Initially when we hadn't quite figured out the setting, we had an idea for a more older-tween-ish character as displayed here, but after discussing it with the producers and Mr. Ikushima, we went with his current form. Mostly for myself when I want to doodle other characters as LAE, but I made a flow chart on how to determine which design elements to use when making a Limbo-Altered Entity (❁´◡`❁)

And I'm sticking it here because why not?? If anyone ever wants to make an LAE, hopefully this helps!

This is to keep me on track and consistent with design elements, also helps with the broader selection of what "angels" and "demons" are in Indomitable Vows (✿◕‿◕✿)

I did omit a few things, such as what to do if a character is a robot/AI, I feel like it's easier to explain in text though so here that is:

Robots/AI, like every other being, needs to have an affiliation/use light/dark magic before becoming a LAE. In canon, these AI would have to be classified as either an angel or a demon first as well, so they'd need to spend some time in either of the realms before being taken to Limbo will do anything. If they are taken without being altered by either the angel or demon realms, they will simply break (insert something about robots/AI being humanmade, thus cannot be built with the ability to understand Limbo etc etc etc)

the most (only) important post-canon arc for mai is her learning to let herself be vulnerable. learning that she does not have to spend the rest of her life suppressing both the good and the bad - she is allowed to be sad and angry, and she is also allowed to be happy and loved. mai spent her entire life perfecting an apathetic demeanor, perfecting a persona that does not care about anything. and, therefore, turning herself into someone who not only bottles up the negative emotions but also shuts out the positive ones. at boiling rock, she finally makes a move that puts her true feelings on display, and that paves the way for her to open herself back up to all of the feelings she has spent her entire life ignoring.

post-canon, mai's arc is not only about learning she's allowed to be sad, she's allowed to be angry, she's allowed to react to the trauma she went through. it is also about her learning that she is allowed to have good things. she doesn't have to punish herself for craving affection and love. she is allowed to want, and she is allowed to want whoever she wants. she does not have to hide her feelings for ty lee, does not have to suppress her attraction to women, does not have to assume that whatever marriage she is forced into will feel like a chore at best and a life of torture at worst.

mai has gone her entire life not receiving affection. even her relationship with zuko was stilted and forced, neither of them quite sure how to show that they cared for the other because they didn't care for each other in a romantic way. it was awkward and messy, and while mai might hate zuko for running, she's also grateful because she hated it too. so when, post-canon, she and ty lee end up together, it takes mai a while to understand how to accept ty lee's affection. it takes mai time to be used to someone who kisses her cheeks, her forehead, her hands spontaneously; someone who calls her lovely and starlight; someone who will hug her whenever she needs it and also whenever she wants it. it takes mai a long time to accept all of the love ty lee has for her - to realize that she doesn't have to earn every hug, she doesn't have to be on the verge of a breakdown for ty lee to kiss her forehead, she doesn't have to spend her life trying to be worthy of affection. this affection is hers to have and to keep and to cherish and ty lee is freely offering it to her, no strings attached.

mai's arc is about learning to be vulnerable, learning to be loved, and learning to be held. it is about falling asleep next to the girl she loves and not tensing up when ty lee pulls her close. it is about mai learning to open herself up and trust ty lee. it is about ty lee's arm over mai's torso, mai's back pressed to her chest, finally, finally letting herself be held. finally letting herself be loved. finally letting herself be at peace. it is about the fact that she no longer shies away from affection, no longer fighting with the voices in her mind that tell her to break free from ty lee's arms because she does not deserve this love. for mai, vulnerability is not only crying and being angry and breaking down - it is embracing the (physical) affection that her friends and girlfriend want to give her. it is falling asleep in ty lee's arms, sleeping soundly through the night, and waking up to mid-morning sunlight, all without doubting how worthy she is to call this happiness hers.

You know, something I think about sometimes... There’s not that many Guild Halls to choose from. Two in Heart of Thorns that look fairly similar, one in Path of Fire, and now one in End of Dragons. That makes a total of four options.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’d love to see a Mists-themed one. Or, at least, a few more unique locations to choose from-- like Halls set in Ascalon and the Shiverpeaks, for example. Having some futuristic Mists pocket that feels similar to the Mistlock Observatory and Dessa’s Fractal lab, or a repurposed Ascalonian fortress still shimmering with the light of ever-burning foefire, or a forgotten Deldrimor outpost carved deep into the side of a snowy mountain, overlooking the frozen wastes below...

C’mon, it’d be neat! And offer a bit more theming options for guilds, too.

So, let’s hear it: what sort of locations would you like to see as a Guild Hall?

My entire motive was to give the kids a trust-worthy adult figure outside of direct family. Then I went further into it and figured hey, if they can have 2 dads, why not give them 2 moms?

And so, Carter was born

I guess her narrative role would be that of an inverse Perry. Where Perry is a hostile presence who winds up forcefully inserting herself into the Davenports’ lives, Carter is a positive influence who, over time, gets dragged into the family by bonding and circumstance

She gets introduced post-Showdown in a story along similar lines to the Irish kid plot. Adam needs his car fixed, Donald takes him to the local mechanic as a life lesson. Adam sees the tattoo, gets into the mindset of gear = android = EVIL?? and shenanigans ensue, his paranoia infectious enough to get all of the kids involved. The incident’s fresh enough in their minds that they don’t want to risk another Marcus situation

‘Course they realize that they’ve been heckling a completely normal woman and apologize. And Carter, still only seeing a couple of odd ducks with no friends, figures this might actually be good life experience for them and goes, “Well if you got that outta your system, you’re welcome to hang,”

Not outright rejecting them results in her being stuck with these twerps who keep loitering in her garage. Local woman gets forcefully adopted by some rich kids

While she’s definitely picked up on there being more to the Davenports than meets the eye, she doesn’t actually learn the extent of the situation until You Posted What!? Whatever their deal is, whether it’s simply the lifestyle that comes with having an eccentric billionaire for a father or something else, they all seem to appreciate the sense of normalcy that comes with spending time with her. And for as long as she can, she’s happy to provide that

Ya know, I’m thinking about how season 3 would happen in the amphibibabies au, specifically about how Anne would meet Mr and Mrs Boonchuy. In cannon, they reunited because Anne knew where to go, but au Anne doesn’t, so the first human she really meets on Earth would be Dr. Jan, because the logic of “go to the museum to look for old evidence” still holds up in the au.

I’m just imagining Dr. Jan hearing about this how Anne was found by the Plantars as a baby, accepting that info, then realizing an hour after they left that Anne must have come from somewhere on Earth before that. She would just immediately start looking into 13 year old missing persons cases. She finds a triple missing children’s case that fits the bill, shows a picture to Hop Pop to confirm that it’s indeed a picture of baby Anne, and now they know where to go to find them.

Or imagine if Dr. Jen called the Boonchuys first. Like “Hey, ya know that daughter of yours that went missing as a baby? I might just have some new info on that.” How does a parent even respond to that!?

In either case, that’s when the real angst begins.

To the mun: have you ever considered a Geb Requiem if N'Doul was chosen by the arrow? Geb is already insanely powerful it's hard to imagine what could make it even scarier

(I have not! I mean I really only dabble with like parts 2 and 3 because of muses and I just generally have little interest in any further parts but that doesn't exclude interactions; I just won't have the same contexts or know all key/minor plot points unless discussed but getting back to the main question.)

( ooo.. the only idea I got so far is to pretty much go full water bender in Geb being able to pretty much encompass all of water's abilities; i.e solid, liquid, gas states. I mean fuck, imagine having to fight N'doul in the fog/steam of his own Stand where he can perfectly pinpoint whereas his opponent is lost without sight in the thick of the fog as well as freeze things in place as he damn well pleases using the water vapors in the air / any and all existing sources of water. )
