thinking of a time travel au for fates gen 2, because deeprealms are a terrible way to get the kids. but the campaign chosen doesn't necessarily dictate the kids you get

so it's kind of like heirs of fate, where they come from two different world. thanks to a combination of Lilith, the orb that was entrusted to the Awakening trio, and the appropriate Corrin kids, they are able to travel back in tim

the timeline diverges as early as a few years before the game starts. this time, Corrin ends up on Rev instead.

Jakob!F!Kana

found alongside Midori at a Hoshidan village. Mikoto discreetly asks Kaze to take in both girls and insists they be treated as important guests, particularly Kana. She's already there when Corrin is taken to the castle. (Dead in BR)

Corrin!Dwyer

blames himself for not being able to save M!Kana, and is the first person to encourage mutual cooperation between the two factions. Applies to be a butler at Northern Fortress to get close to Corrin, who recognizes him from her visions. Inherits Yato. (Dead in BR)

Kagero!Asugi

sticks around to help, but dyes his hair, changes his name (as in canon), and never tells his parents who he is. when his lady doesn't show up, he leaves to find her and takes on the name "Gaius". Caeldori's retainer. (Dead in BR)

Hinoka!Caeldori

falls into Ylisse, and while scouring the skies to try and find Asugi and to find out where she is, she's found by Phila. She takes on the name "Cordelia" and becomes a part of Ylisse's Pegasus Knight squad (Dead in BR)

Selena!Midori

deeply curious about her cousin Asugi and just young enough to not understand why he resents her so much. She's mostly kept off the battlefield. Is training to be F!Kana's retainer, and has her existence revealed by Soleil. (Does not exist in BR)

Lucina!Soleil

promptly ends up having her identity revealed to her parents because she has a brand, being the first one as well, after Laslow finds her in a bar. Is the first instance of Nohr realizing something is up. Inherits Falchion. Siegbert's retainer. (Dead in BR)

Nyx!Siegbert

first prince of Nohr and leader of the army. Also feels guilty for the loss of his two cousins. Runs into his mother before she ever encounters Corrin and is recruited alongside her. Inherited Siegfried. Does not tell his father until much later. (Does not exist in BR)

Rinkah!Mitama

Grows up close to Caeldori, due to her father formerly being the Queen's retainer. Next in line to be chief of the Fire Tribe, she attempts to find Caeldori and Asugi by heading to Hoshido. Reveals herself to Azama first. (Dead in BR)

Camilla!Velouria

second princess of Nohr and representative of the Wolfskin. Was raised mostly isolated from the human world. Is the second person to reveal herself. Winds up at Mt Garou and tracks down her father. (Does not exist in BR)

Charlotte!Ignatius

One of the last characters to join the cast. He is found with Shigure and is relieved to find that the two factions are getting along. Is the first person, alongside Shigure, to make sense of Valla. Dwyer's retainer. Charlotte recognizes immediately. (Does not exist in BR)

Elise!Kiragi

Second youngest of the Hoshidan and Nohrian families. Grew up in Hoshido before his father died protecting him and his mother, before moving to Nohr. Inherited Fujin Yumi. Readily reveals himself to his parents. (Does not exist in BR)

Jakob!M!Kana

Inherits Yato after his brother dies. Reunites with his sister after his grandmother orders Kaze to quietly bring him to the castle as well. Due to his blade, the royal family is also informed about the appearance of children from the future. (Dead in CQ)

Hinata!Shigure

second prince of Nohr. Is just old enough to recall his mother. Inherited her writings and her song, alongside the warnings that come with it. Mentioned above, becomes friends with Ignatius. (Does not exist in CQ)

Azura!Hisame

third prince of Nohr. The sword he carries is the same one his father named after him. While okay with an alliance with the other faction, is stubbornly against revealing their identity to their parents. Joins as a samurai at the castle to be able to watch over his mother. (Does not exist in CQ)

Mozu!Rhajat

next in line to be chief of the Wind Tribe. Is very close to Forrest. Winds up in Plegia after being chased by Faceless, only to run into Grimleal. Takes on the name "Tharja". (Does not exist in CQ)

Sakura!Forrest

first prince of Nohr. Is very excited to find out he has cousins in another world and wishes to get to know his aunt and uncle. One of the first to reveal himself, namely to Sakura, once she and the rest of Corrin's gang head to Izana's place. Inherits Brynhildr, but struggles to use it. (Dead in CQ)

Noire!Ophelia

grew up in Ylisse without her father, eventually deciding to chase him down because she was unwilling to believe he was dead. Ended up getting roped into fighting, and wastes no time introducing herself to her father. Forrest's retainer. Has her existence revealed by Soleil beforehand. (Dead in CQ)

Orochi!Shiro

first prince of Hoshido and the leader of the army. Feels responsible for losing Dwyer and M!Kana. When alternate Dwyer approaches him with friendship in mind, he is initially apprehensive but agrees. Kagero finds him first as he tries to warn her about Mokushu. Inherits Raijinto. (Does not exist in CQ)

Oboro!Nina

Forrest's retainer. Stays with Forrest and does not wish to reveal her identity. Aids Hinoka and the rest in saving Sakura, requesting only that they hear Forrest out. (Dead in CQ)

Felicia!Selkie

representative of the Kitsune. Grew up close with Dwyer and Kanas. Shiro's third in command after Asugi dies and witnessed Dwyer's death. Winds up at Kitsune Hamlet and misses most of the action. (Does not exist in CQ)

Beruka!Percy

Treated by Forrest as a younger sibling. Was taken in by Camilla after his parents' deaths. Used to the kind, motherly version of her, he tries to tell her immediately. Soleil is thankfully there to stop him. Kept off the battlefield due to his age. (Dead in CQ)

Hana!Sophie

First Dwyer's, then Kana's retainer. Chooses to reunite with her father first, introducing herself as a distant cousin. After he disappears, she attempts to track him down. (Does not exist in CQ)

it's really funny to me as someone new to the fire emblem fandom (having played all of awakening and a little more than half of fates - both conquest and revelations) when i look up character pairings and their kids and are just met with people discussing nothing but stat growths, reclassing, and the best ways to pair the characters JUST to get high-stat kids with little regard to the actual pairings themselves. i get that it's pretty normal in this fandom (and for most games like this, i assume?) to be more focused on that kind of thing, but to me, the stats/gameplay are more of an afterthought. i just like pairing off characters based on the supports + vibes/dynamic and seeing what the kids will look and act like accordingly. of course i want my 2nd gen characters to be strong and fight well, but i also want to see them be a fitting child for the parents i paired together, ya know?

but idk, that's just my opinion lol [shrugs]

#this coming from someone who has never played a turn-based strategy game like this before in my life lol #i'm a much more character-oriented person. i don't really care much about the stats #still laughing about telling my friend who is a long-time fe player that i reclassed percy from a wyvern rider into a fighter #because his parents in my game are arthur and effie so it didn't make sense to me that he'd ride a wyvern #she got upset (not really) at me because “you barely get any fliers and theyre a really good class! why would you get rid of one??”#i made up for it by reclassing ignatius into one because beruka was his mom #probably killed his stats for it but it made more sense to me from a story perspective #(also the thought that he'd be fucking terrified of heights and reptiles and all that but he still rides a wyvern just kinda made me laugh)#fire emblem #shouting into the void

Entry 90: Oops! All Supports Volume #14

Looking at the Supports I have left, it seems I have neglected the children. Just like every character in Fates does.

Support: Ophelia/Siegbert

C: Ophelia says that Siegbert is the chosen one, by birth, because of that whole monarchy thing.

B: Siegbert says that he's only royalty because of luck and his people didn't chose him. Monarchies are cringe. Siegbert says that Ophelia is better because she's a chosen one through hard work.

A: Ophelia apologizes even though she has done nothing wrong. She praises Siegbert for being a good king.

S: Siegbert asks if magic can predict the future. Ophelia says time-travel is impossible because hahaha irony. Siegbert wants to know who he marries. They get together.

Support: Forrest/Nina

C: Nina swoons over Forrest.

B: Nina follows Forrest and writes fanfiction.

A: Nina asks Forrest if he's gay. He says no. Nina apologizes for being awful.

S: Forrest says he loves Nina. For some reason.

Review: Yeah that sucked.

Support: Ignatius/Velouria

C: Velouria sees Ignatius carrying an old frayed charm and demands he hand it over because it is worn out and covered in human musk. B: Ignatius burns the charm and buries it. He offers Velouria a new one, but she wants a deteriorated one with meaning. She takes some oily rags. A: Velouria apologizes for being rude and takes the charm. She gives Ignatius a charm made from oily rags and bones. The charm is magic and summons evil sleep paralysis demons. Ignatius is terrified. S: Ugnatius offers a ring. Velouria dislikes it, but understands it will deteriorate with time.

Review: Velouria’s weirdness is explained, but she’s also rude and creepy in this one. Mediocre.

Support: Fana/Percy

C: Kana sees Percy training and complains that he'll get stronger than her. They decide to train together.

B: The duo chops would. Percy wins because he's lucky.

A: The two of them race. Kana wins despite Percy's luck.

S: Kana asks Percy to open a pickle jar. They praise each other for being cool or whatever and decide to be...dance partners? I mean hey it's better than child marriage but its still weird.

Review: Incredibly bland and mediocre.

Support: Dwyer/Soleil

C: Soleil wakes Dwyer up with her loud training. Soleil attempts to change her clothes in Dwyer, which embarrasses him.

B: Dwyer stumbles upon Soleil dancing. She is embarrassed.

A: Dwyer helps Soleil dance. She doesn't improve much.

S: Dwyer tells Soleil he's willing to help her practice for as long as it takes. She points out that could take forever, which he doesn't mind because they're friends.

Review: See my comment on the last one.

Support: Sophie/Velouria

C: Avel goes missing. Velouria tells Sophie she should get rid of him because he's awful.

B: Sophie attempts to bribe Velouria into tracking him down in exchange for food. Velouria walks when it's revealed that the thing Sophie wants her to smell is horse shit.

A: Sophie explains she loves Avel. Velouria offers to help, but still refuses to smell dookie. Review: Decent, but a bit shallow and repetitive.

Support: Ignatius/Siegbert

C:Siegbert thanks Ignatius for his service. Ignatius brushes these compliments away, explaining he's just some cowardly soldier while Siegbert is a great leader.

B: Siegbert is isnpired by Ignatius to train. Ignatius says that his role is to be a leader and king, not to fight on the battlefield, because unlike Ignatius he isn't replaceable.

A: Siegbert says that no one'[s role is to die and that he can't just sit by while his friends risk their lives on his behalf.

Review: Decent. Siegbert is a nice guy, if a bit bland, and Ignatius is nice while also having self doubt and thinking he’s worthless. Honetly, Siegbert would be an okay if generic lord.

Support: Forrest/Midori

C: Midori gives Forrest moisturizer.

B: Forrest gives Midori an apron. She doesn't like it because of the color.

A: Forrest gives Midori a new apron. Midori gives him new skin cream.

S: Forrest gives Midori a friendship bracelet.

Review: I’d call this one nothing, but that isn’t true. It takes time to unlock and read, which makes it worse than nothing. This Support is like anti-matter, so opossite of actual content that it destroys it.

Support: Mana/Siegbert

C: Kana is impressed with how much time Siegbert spends studying and training. He decides to try a schedule.

B: Kana is exhausted by a schedule. Siegbert suggests he keep a daily log.

A: Kana masters productivity.

Review: God that was mediocre and boring.

Support: Nina/Siegbert

C: Nina spies on two men. Siegbert assumes she's spying on them because they're enemy soldiers and offers to help.

B: Siegbert sees the men go into some ruins and charges in to confront them.

A: Siegbert reveals they were construction workers, which Nina already knew.

S: They get together.

Review: This one is not excellent by any means, but after all the awful Supports this week, it’s nice to have a Support that is at least decent. It’s a comedic situation based on a misunderstanding, that’s better than the marianas trench of content that some of the other child Supports are.

Entry 82: Benny Wins Father of the Year

Paralogue 17: Two Defenders

When a village is attacked by ghost dudes, Benny's son Ignatius single-handedly defends it. Benny, hearing about this from fleeing villagers, rushes in to save his son. This chapter has us rushing through a forest to get to Ignatius before he falls. After Benny talks to him, the two Knights decide to fight side by side. Once all of the enemies are dead, Ignatius denies any reward, saying that he's weak and only survived because Benny saved him. Ignatius begs to join our army so he may grow strong. Benny lets him, saying he's proud of his son.

Ignatius

I like Ignatius. Heroic, but not arrogant, wants to grow stronger. All great. His design is...interesting, with hair that looks greasy and an ugly face, but I guess it makes sense as Benny’s son. His personal skill, His personal skill, Guarded Bravery, makes him take less damage when leading a pair and more when he's solo.

Support: Benny/Ignatius

C: Benny and Ignatius try to talk to each other. Most of their sentences are one word long.

B: Benny and Ignatius prank each other by making each other see bugs and telling ghost stories. Ignatius says Benny is a good father, which makes Benny cry.

A: Benny says he worries that the world is too cruel for a fragile child like the swoll beefcake that is Ignatius. Ignatius says that he'll be fine, because he's just as cowardly that Benny and Benny is fine. Benny tells his son to turn around because he shouldn't see his father cry.

Support: Some child paralogues ruin characters by having beloved Fates characters act abusive. This Support does the opposite, solidifying my love of Benny by showing him as being such a loving father that he cries tears of joy. Side note, since when is Benny a coward?

Support: Ignatius/Mother

C: Ignatius, afraid of bugs, asks his mother to get rid of one.

B: Ignatius works up the courage to brush off a ladybug. He then goes to his mother because he's scared of ghosts staring at him when he sleeps. In actuality, these ghosts staring at him are his stuffed animals.

A: Ignatius gives his mother a charm because he's afraid of her dying in battle. His mother says that the army fights together to protect each other and he doesn't need to be frightened.

Review: Ah, it seems being scared of things is Ignatius’s one personality trait. That won’t get old. To be fair, that A-Rank was really good.

Support: Corrin/Ignatius

C: Ignatius stares at a stain on the wall he thinks is a ghost.

B: Ingatius asks Corrin about her fears. She mentions battle, but says her friends she fights for make her braver. Ignatius says he's scared of bugs and ghosts.

A: Ignatius, thanks to Corrin's talk, gains a new fear: everyone he loves dying violentally. But! This feat gives him the courage to fight and die for his loved ones.

S: Ignatius timidly proposes.

Review: Ignatius vowing to give his life for his allies because he fears losing them is great. Besides that, this one is kinda dumb.

Support: Moron/Ignatius

C: Ignatius mumles to himself about his fears he isn't strong enough to protect everyone. He drops his good luck charm Benny gave him as a kid.

B: Corrin returns the charm. Ignatius says he doesn't want it because its a sign of him being a coward and a failure. Corrin tells him to shut up, because he isn't a failure.

A: Ignatius apologizes for being a loser. Corrin tells him everyone has the same fears and that he's a good hero. Corrin gives back the charm.

Review: Not bad. I’m always a sucker for characters being heroic or worrying about battle.

Just released an update for my Fire Emblem Fates mod: Face-Lift! (formerly known as Eyes and Brows)

Newly added are skin tone adjustments for Benny, Ignatius, Niles, Nina, and Rinkah. I know it's been done before, but I wanted to give it a go with the more modern tools available now.

Fire Emblem Cipher Nohr HN/N Consolidation (Update)

Hi all~

As I mentioned, I’m updating all my super old posts so they will be more up-to-date with accurate stock of my cards.

This post is focusing on the “leftover” common, HN/N, cards for my Nohr cards. For now, this post includes cards from sets 2, 3, 6, 10, and 11. Each HN card is $0.50 and each N card is $0.25. None of these cards are “locked” to any set and all are available for purchase separately. Just please remember my minimum $5 purchase.

Modern!FE14 head canon! The kids are in high school and are apart of the schools underground/black market/or better known as—to keep it on the DL— Overtime.

--Siegbert secretly rules the entire underground of the school. From drugs(Kool aid gummies, quality snacks, weed, nothing ACTUALLY illegal-ish—but is ‘illegal’ in the school), betting on fights/fight club, alcohol, “deeds”, codes to the entire school, is able to change your grades/attendece, blackmail, you get the idea. All answer to him when they want to make a business in the underground. Usually keeps his face covered unless he’s talking with the “Elites” of the underground. Is thinking about choosing the next leader of the underground that isn’t a Junior or Senior. Gets paid handsomely every week. Code name: Golden Ruler.——Shiro is apart of Fight Club and participates in fighting matches and is so far the raining champion while everyone is racing to take his place before his senior year. Is one of the “Elites” of the underground since he’s the champion. Is personally one of the very few ‘Elites’ to see Siegbert’s face and know him personally. He also does ‘personal deeds’ for Siegbert every so often. Code name: Yorozu—— Asugi and Midori are the ‘drug’(-ish) dealers. Asugi sells and makes the candy and so far their are over 300 Kool Aid Gummy addicts in the school and people are try to thwart his Kool Aid Gummy empire. While Midori is actually selling full on drugs; aka weed and homemade drugs that she has no clue what the effects are and uses people as her personal test subjects for the drug. Him and Midori are escorts/retainers for the “Elites” and does their dirty work from time to time. Code names: Maverick and Harmony. —— Caeldori on the other hand is trying to figure out who the leader of the underground is or whoever got blackmail on her and is planning to get her revenge ——Kiragi, Forrest, Percy, Velouria, Selkie, Shigure, and the Kanas are apart of the 80% who don’t even know the underground exists and thinks that this ‘Golden Ruler’ is a rumor or stupid joke. (They eventually find out that it isn’t a joke and they are screwed because of finding out, hence how the story started).——Ignatius and Soleil are Siegbert’s bodyguards and they HAVE to wear masks because if their identities are revealed Siegbert’s might also be revealed. Are considered ‘Elites’ even though they are working for one. Code names: Sun and Moon.——Nina is someone who collects data on a person and gets blackmail. She also does ‘deeds’. Deeds can range from getting a lock combination, getting a teacher password/credit card and the higher the risk the bigger the price and they also can range to ‘personal’ status which happens often but can also dangerous work. Personal deeds are deeds that works like a favor if you do this you get this. It’s a double edged sword. It can range from stealing money, getting revenge on an ex/enemy, protection for a small while, or more actual personal stuff. Occasionally is Golden Ruler’s information collector from time to time. Never once seen his face, but know She is his go to information dealer. Code name: Blank——Ophelia and Hisime know about the underground (a.k.a the basement of the school that just so happens to have a ladder on the outside of the school going down. And that the teachers and principal LITERALLY NEVER USES) and are regulars to it. They get some exclusive stuff you couldn’t get normally. They usual buy some candy or weed, the occasional deed from time to time, sometimes even bets on things/people. — —Sophie found out Underground by accident. Rarely goes out and buys stuff off. Goes to Rhajat or Mitama often.——Rhajat is Sophie’s main. She specializes in curses and is considered one of the ‘Elites’ of the underground due to her powers. She rarely goes out of her way to help/meet Golden Ruler. Code name: Jersey Devil.—— Dwyer and Mitama own a business together and makes sleeping ‘potions’ (it’s just tea that makes you fall asleep. The only reason it’s in the black market is because they can amp up the dosages). Mitama does her occasional readings.—Everyone that goes down into overtime has to have some sort of mask to protect their identity. Just pray to god if the person you want to get revenge/blackmail on isn’t behind one of the counters.
