I get the impression that when adopting a dog (esp at a shelter) a lot of people are expecting to get like, an instant connection where the dog immediately loves you, and get disheartened when that doesn't happen. Like in a lot of cases it's not even a deeper behavioral issue it's just that these animals are in a stressful environment and inundated with dozens of strangers every day so are inevitably going to be shy.
There's a lot to take into consideration (esp with shelter dogs with unknown histories and probable behavioral issues) but if everything else is a good match except for the literal 'we didn't form an immediate soul bond', it's probably going to be a good match
Hi everybody!! I'm so glad you guys seem to be excited for this!! I've already gotten a lot of submissions so far ⟨(0o0)/
Unfortunately, I made this blog in a very busy season at my school... I have a bit too much homework to respond quickly for now. I promised Uncle Kaz I wouldn't let this distract me too much. I guess I didn't plan that well... oops. _(>.<)_ But I'm looking forward to going through them when I get the chance!! I'll try not to keep you all hanging for too long, okay? Oh, and don't feel like you have to stop sending things in in the meantime. I'll be fine!!
Thank you so much everyone, and I hope you have a good day!! <3
Can I just say that it’s been months since the laudna resurrection arch and I am still a true resurrection laudna truther….
And now we’re days away from the biggest fight in the campaign so far, we’re all pretty sure that there’s going to be some big deaths happening and keyleth’s going to be right there… it’s all feeling a bit too familiar. The implications of it all…
i have so much work to do for finals season which is frustrating bc on the one hand i'm very glad all my classes have project-based finals where i get to be creative instead of just doing an exam or a paper. however. i have a bad habit with every project-based final ever of accidentally getting an idea that's way too ambitious and creating more work for myself than i need to do
however this semester even tho i fell into that exact same trap my two most elaborate final projects each involve 1. editing a video essay which contains an interview i did with paul bellini and at least 45 seconds of it are bellini talking about why he thinks i have great potential as a comedian, and 2. editing a ten minute reel of the documentary footage i got on tour with scott. which of course involves rewatching various videos of me and scott being extremely chaotic together. so i stay winning ig
I saw the fluffiest dog today and I am sooooo happy.
It was a old english sheep dog/poodle cross called a sheepadoodle. At first I thought he was just a small old english, because he didn't look to be mixed. So I asked the owner if he was still a puppy (he did not look like one though, but he's only half the height an average old english sheepdog should be). And that's when she told me what his mix his. He was such a chill dog too, didn't really even pay me much mind. The owner let me pet him and I almost dropped to my knees to hug on him like a little kid (of course I restrained myself). You guys have absolutely no idea how obsessed I am about long haired/fluffy dogs
also hint hint yall, I'm gonna be announcing an event on monday jan 2nd for my belated 7k follower celebration with a very special/romantic event date and a cute theme that I've been planning since november ❤️
Before S.Q. could finish, Kate took a spectacular fall. Her feet shot out from under her; her arms and legs flew in every direction; her bucket clanged and scraped against the stone floor, sending up sparks; and at last — with her feet first in front of her and then somehow behind her — Kate tumbled and slid to a stop a few yards away from S.Q., where she did a very convincing job of rolling her eyes back into her head.
“Kate!” S.Q. cried, hurrying to check on her as the boys came running up. “Step back!” he ordered. “Give her room to breathe!”

The Great Kate SQ fall: This is my absolute favorite scene out of the whole series, and thus one of the many reasons why the first book will always be my favorite. This is a scene that played a major role in my life. I once recreated the iconic fall in fifth grade, and all the way through high school, I would constantly sneak up on my friends while shouting "SQ! SQ!" at the last minute
if Thedas is anything like Tumblr, the real reason the 5th Blight ended so quickly is in fact Zevran and his uncanny ability to summon an army of followers from literal cracks in the walls-
