❃How EXO acts around their crush❃
a/n: This is 10000% just for my own pleasure. I may have had this in my drafts for weeks... I am totally okay with all the Kyungsoo solo content and EXO ladder dropping. Totally. Super functional, delusional who?
ALSO to any EXO-L that are sharing Chen's LEAKED wedding photos. Please be respectful and either delete them or, at the very least, blur out his wife's face. Chen has gone to great lengths to safeguard her privacy, as she is not famous nor wants to be in the spotlight. Not to mention that there could be crazy sasaengs out there with ill intent. Sharing her info is basically doxing, and it is insane to me how many people shared these posts without much thought. Anyway, I needed to share my frustrations.
Tumblr media
Xiumin/Minseok:
✾ He is a lot shyer than the other members; where most of EXO probably feels comfortable enough to act on their crushes, he is a bit more reserved. He wants to test the waters first, ascertaining whether the feeling is mutual. Whenever you are around and are talking to other people, he sits back silently, observing your reactions.
✾ Xiumin is smiling so widely around you that the other members worry that his muscles might start cramping up soon. The moment he sees you, his bubbly personality starts to really shine through, and sometimes you can't help but wonder whether this man truly is 33.
✾ That being said, from the moment that anyone offers Xiumin a couple of drinks, his confidence spikes, and he will start flirting with you. His flirting is still extremely sweet and cute; Xiumin can be incredibly charming when he wants to be.
Tumblr media
Suho/Junmyeon
✾ He is such a gentleman around you, trying to make you feel at ease with his kind gestures. Whether it is him pulling back a chair or opening a door for you, he will do anything to make you feel like a princess.
✾ Being one of EXO's proud black card owners, he will casually buy you whatever you need. He keeps repeating that he wants to treat his friends when you try to interject. You can't completely refute it; he does spend a lot of money on the members. Yet, you can't help but feel like his gifts are slightly too expensive and excessive for 'just friends'.
✾ So. Many. Soft. Glances. Suho looks at you like you hung the moon and the stars; you catch him staring at you almost every time you look over. Conversations with him can, therefore, be a tad awkward. He doesn't always register what you are saying; he is so absorbed in watching you that he forgets to listen.
✾ The other members relentlessly tease him for it. If you don't catch on based on Suho's actions, you will definitely catch on due to his members' relentless teasing. Whenever he does anything remotely romantic around you, their faces light up like Christmas came early. The members are not subtle about it whatsoever, thoroughly enjoying putting their leader in a slightly uncomfortable position.
Tumblr media
Baekhyun:
✾ The members didn't think it was possible, but Baekhyun somehow became louder. It is as if he wants to draw your attention simply by screaming, as he no longer has any volume control when you are around. Everyone can hear your conversation from across the room, and his laughter becomes borderline obnoxious as it overpowers any other sound.
✾ He is such a tease and a suggestive one at that. Considering he has no problem revealing intimate, not suitable to be aired on national TV, details about the members' bodies, he won't have any trouble suggestively flirting with you. Where Xiumin's pick-up lines are cute, Baekhyun's are far from it. Give this man some holy water, Jesus.
✾ He is so intense with his flirting that it sometimes crosses the line of sexy to parody, coming off as a joke. Baekyhyun has a very flirty personality and isn't above flirting with his friends. Even though he isn't subtle about his crush, he can accidentally fall into the "he flirts with everyone" category, making you question whether he genuinely likes you or is just being friendly.
✾ He really enjoys the chase when it comes to relationships. Thus, it will take him quite some time before he asks you out, simply because he likes the push-and-pull game.
Tumblr media
Chanyeol
✾ There is nothing subtle about Mr. Park Chanyeol. The moment he sees someone he wants to date, he is going for it full steam ahead. Puppy Chanyeol is momentarily retired as he makes his way over to you; Chanyeol knows that he is handsome and sexy, and he is ready to show it to you. I hope you weren't interested in anyone else because the moment you return any of his interest, he will be flirting with you like there is no tomorrow.
✾ Internally, he is so excited to be talking to you, and sometimes, you will see glimpses of his cute puppy-like persona, especially once he feels like you are just as interested. Still, the words coming out of this man's mouth, Jesus part two. Please go and ask Baekyhun to pass the holy water.
✾ That being said, he will get embarrassed when the other members are around or slightly bashful when you return his flirting at full force. I don't think Chanyeol is used to anyone sharing his level of intensity, so once you do, he gets a bit flustered. He absolutely loves it, though. Your compliments got him grinning from ear to ear.
Tumblr media
D.O./Kyungsoo
✾ Don't get me wrong, I adore this man to a delusional extent, but he is absolutely hopeless when it comes to communicating with his crush. He won't go anywhere near you if he can't help it; he prefers looking at you from afar. He is someone who favours being approached first over approaching you himself. It isn't that he doesn't want to talk to you; he simply isn't the type of person to initiate contact with his crush and tends to stay back when he can tell that someone else is interested, too.
✾ Even if he finds himself near you, don't expect him to have a full-blown conversation with you. He already tends to be a man of little words, but when it comes to you, he is a man of not a single word. Being around you is enough to make him happy; he doesn't really need to have a deep conversation.
✾ Nevertheless, his actions make more than up for it. He is such a gentleman, being the definition of preferential treatment. You don't have a chair to sit on? He will quietly offer you his. Your sweater got caught on something? He will silently help you get it out. Although he may not say much to you, he communicates his feelings through his actions.
Tumblr media
Kai/Jongin
✾ If you think Xiumin or Kyungsoo are shy, you have not yet met Kai with a crush. He turns into absolute mush the moment he sees you, giggling and blushing whenever you do as much as breathing. You can't even see him because he has resorted to hiding behind the other members, preferably Sehun or Chanyeol, as they are tall enough to obscure him completely.
✾ If he somehow musters up the courage to talk to you, good luck having it go anywhere because he can barely make it through a sentence without giggling. It is obvious to everyone around him that he is smitten with you; his laughs are awkwardly loud, and his eyes are literally shooting hearts.
✾ The moment he manages to ask you to dance, his shy demeanour completely changes. His movement… His expressions… The way he is smirking at you… Maybe you should go and ask Chanyeol whether there is anything left of the holy water he borrowed from Baekyhun.
Tumblr media
Sehun
✾ He has one of two ways of acting around his crush: either he acts super bratty or becomes painfully shy. It depends on whether he has met and talked to you before. But, if you are complete strangers, he would be so quiet, hiding in the furthest corner he can find.
✾ He will pester the members to go over and collect as much information as they can about you. They will do it because he will whine the entire night about it if they don't and, repeat with me, what Sehun wants, Sehun gets. The members try to convince Sehun to go talk to you himself, but Sehun stubbornly refuses. Bro will be playing the Maknae card harder than he ever has in his entire life.
✾ In the end, he will drag Suho with him, trying to 'casually' strike up a conversation with you. The small talk is painful, and in all honesty, Suho, with his dad jokes, isn't helping in the slightest. At the very least, it provides the two of you with a new conversational topic: the teasing of Suho.

ONEW•JONGHYUN•KEY•MINHO•TAEMIN… '15th Anniversary' SHINee's 'RACE'
Tumblr media
Since the debut in 2008, SHINee has been considered a role model for many K-pop artists as both a group and solo artists. Not only did all the members release solo albums, but they also have a solid career in various fields such as entertainment, acting, musicals, and fashion. SHINee, who has been developing personal skills not only through the team but also through solo activities, announced that they will reunite to mark the 15th anniversary of their debut this year. While high expectations are being placed on the synergy that 'Complete SHINee' will show, we looked back at SHINee's brilliant solo career.
Tumblr media
Unrivaled ‘VOICE’ Onew. Onew, who sang many drama OSTs and collaboration songs, released his first solo album ‘VOICE’ in December 2018, which was filled with his own lyrical music, once again proving his warm tone and outstanding singing ability. He solidified his position as a unique vocalist by presenting a fresh and refreshing charm with ‘DICE’ and a healing song that comforts the listeners with his first regular album ‘Circle’ Last March, he held his solo concerts in Korea and Japan, thrilling his global fans with a high-quality performance that combines colorful music, performance, and scent production. He also played the role of Haram in the musical 'Midnight Sun' and received favorable reviews for his delicate portrayal of his shy character. Unchanging team's ‘BASE’ Jonghyun Jonghyun, who was recognized for his solid skills early on with his refreshing vocals, has released his first solo album ‘BASE’, his first collection 'Story Op.1', his first full-length album 'She Is', his second collection 'Story Op.2' and his second full-length album 'Poet | Artist', the albums that show a wide spectrum of music have received enthusiastic responses from music fans. In addition, he participated in the lyrics and composition of various songs that cross genres, such as his solo album songs, SHINee's hit songs 'Juliette' and 'View', Taemin's 'Pretty Boy', and EXO's 'PLAYBOY'. For about three years from 2014, he communicated with listeners every night as a radio DJ and gave warm comfort, and he was active in various fields such as publishing the novel “Skeleton Flower: Things That Have Released and Set Free”.
Tumblr media
Always new ‘FACE’ Key Key is showing off his versatility in music, entertainment, fashion, etc. to the extent that he is called 'all-around cheat key'. He opened wide the door as a solo artist with his first full-length album 'FACE', and with the so-called 'retro trilogy' leading to his first mini-album 'BAD LOVE', his 2nd full-length album 'Gasoline' and repackage 'Killer', he presented music and performances with a unique charm that can be heard. In addition, Key is displaying an excellent sense of entertainment in popular entertainment programs such as tvN's 'Amazing Saturday' and MBC's 'I Live Alone'. Accordingly, it was realized that he was receiving high public attention by winning the Male Excellence Award in the variety category at the '2022 MBC Broadcasting Entertainment Awards', and winning the '2022 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards' and the '2022 Brand of the Year Awards' for two consecutive years in the entertainment idol male category. Challenges with passion ‘CHASE’ Minho Minho, a 'passionate character' in the music industry, has played a prominent role in various entertainment shows, including sports variety programs since his debut, combining his superior physique, passion that burns like a flame, wit and sense. He also showed his smooth hosting skills as an entertainment MC, including various award ceremonies and the original TVing ‘Webtoon Singer’. In addition, Minho showed a variety of performances across the spectrum through dramas such as tvN's ‘The Most Beautiful Goodbye’ and Netflix series ‘The Fabulous’, as well as movies 'Inrang' and ‘Jangsari: Forgotten Heroes’. In December last year, he released his first mini-album ‘CHASE’ filled with hip-hop and R&B genres with his own emotions, filling the last puzzle piece of SHINee's solo album. K-pop ‘ACE’ Taemin Taemin announced his solo debut as the first member of SHINee with his first mini-album ‘ACE’ in 2014. With the hit songs ‘MOVE’ and ‘WANT’, he caused the so-called ‘Move’ and 'WANT' syndrome and won awards in the album and best dance performance solo categories at various awards ceremonies. In addition, Taemin is loved by fans all over the world for his excellent vocals and powerful performance skills, as he has various modifiers such as 'Yeoksolnam (all-time solo male singer)' and 'Taemdol (Taemin is also a role model)'. He has established himself as an irrefutable "ACE" of K-pop by proving his powerful global power by successfully completing his first arena tour 17 times in six cities across Japan in 2019.

trivia:
— along with coups, she's the member who has the longest training period in seventeen. she started training at sm and was supposed to debut with f(x) but didn't due to her age, then, she traded to pledis right after, still in 2009.
— she was actually supposed to debut in a girl group that still didn't have any plans to happen, but, pledis saw a lot of potential in her and decided to put her on Seventeen TV for her to get along with the audience and the members. she quickly got accepted and became a sweetheart to everyone who met her.
— she's the 4th oldest member in the group, she's the oldest 1996 liner and one of the aces of the group. anything you put her to do she will ace it perfectly without any obstacles.
— nari's number one nickname, used by almost everyone who knows her, is nabi. since she loves to make friends and is easily outgoing, the members started calling her that, which quickly spread around and now everyone calls her that.
— she was literally everywhere in 2018/19 due to a famous fancam of her dancing to exo's love shot during an award show. her talent and visuals stood out to a lot of people, and her fanbase triplicated due to it. she gained the nation's passion nickname due to this masterpiece.
— nari is close to all of the boys, especially the younger ones whom she loves to spoil and give attention to. she tends a lot to seungcheol too, since she knows how hard he works and how little he cares for himself. she's known to be seventeen's mom along with jeonghan, in which fans make jokes about them fighting over the title.
— nari's biggest fear nowadays is the day seungcheol and jeonghan enlist for the army. she's really not prepared for this, and she's been dreading the subject ever since the year started. fans make sure to try and not mention it too much because they know she goes through social media quite a lot.
— during their trainee days, nari used to go out of her way of school just to drop the younger ones at their own school, most of the times she would arrive late for her own classes, but she says it was worth it.
— she has one of the highest iqs in kpop, she's really smart, but sometimes she just forgets it and acts like the stupidest person on earth — which may seem like it but it isn't purposeful.
— she's openly pansexual, which made her receive a lot of backlash in which was quickly turned down due to a lot of people standing up for her. nari is really grateful for them and never forgets to thank them whenever she has to give a speech or something.
— she's also known to be hybe's groups mom. she loves to say that she adopted enhypen, newjeans, lesserafim and txt. she's also really close to fromis_9 members and says that jiheon is her adopted baby.
— even though she's not a part of the performance team, nari practically begged to go to i-land with her members. she was so happy that she was allowed to go that you could see it just by her face. nari says that, on that day, she knew that ni-ki, jungwon and sunoo were going to be a part of her babies.
— nari's also an actress, she has been in some k-dramas and movies. her members love to tease her because of it and whenever one of her new dramas gets released, get prepared for a weverse thunderstorm of posts teasing her.
— she has a dog, who lived in the apartment she used to share with wonwoo and mingyu. now, she moved out to her own apartment in yongsam-gu and also adopted a cat.
— her number one hobby is cheating on games with jeonghan.
— she's currently in a relationship with a male idol, people now that she's taken but they don't know who it is because of her members exposure of her life that she doesn't really care.

Now that Kyungsoo has left SM, do you think SM will exclude him when there’s a group activity or comeback? I feel like they’d be petty enough to do that (it isn’t like it hasn’t happened many times before and that was when he was still contracted to them plus their relationship must be very tenuous at this point anyway).
What is Kyungsoo's Situation and Future with SM?
So I'll explain something to everybody here, since not everyone knows,
So until now all of the members signed "Group activities" Contract and "Exclusive Solo activities" Contract with SM ,
Except Ksoo! Who didn't sign the Exclusive solo activities Contrat because that would be managed by SooSoo Company. So since he said he still can be in Exo's schedules and activities after his official contract ends in November 3rd, means he signed the "Group Activities contract"! Just like Donghae and Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun from Super Junior.
Whereas Tiffany and SNSD members who left they didn't sign the group contracts so they cannot Use "SNSD" Group Name or their stage names because they're all owned by SM. Which is why Tiffany's stage name was changed to "Tiffany Young" she can't use "Tiffany" to introduce herself because that's SM's credit.
Same thing for Lay/Yixing, this is why he can't use "Exo" or "Lay" anymore so he calls himself "Lay Zhang" or "Zhang Yixing " because he officially left SM with no Group contracts so yes he won't be on Any Exo schedules unless Exo want to and they can make him an exclusive contract for that, which I don't think would happen anytime soon.
So we'll wait until after November 3rd, If Ksoo still introduces himself as "Exo's D.O" or "D.O" then we would know he sighed the group contract and only the Exclusive "Solo activities" contract that was not signed, which means he would be in Exo's Comeback schedules IF HIS SOOSOO COMPANY ALLOWS HIM and it Doesn't Overlap with his Solo Company's schedule, which I'm sure he will manage and solve with Nam Kyungsoo since it's his company as well, so I believe he would organize his schedules so that he won't be absent in Exo's Schedules. But of course we would expect him not to show up in every show or every fan event or every variety show with them. He might miss some !! Because now the SooSoo Company will manage BOTH his Music and Acting Careers.
And I don't think Ksoo would give up his stage name "D.O" or "Exo".

Tis the Season to be Jolly my Nuggets!
It is once again that time of year to send in your favorite actors, soloists, and group members for the 'Tis the Season 2023 Event. Originally, I was going to have the same rules as the previous two events, but with the addition of KDrama / KMovie characters to my masterlist I'm changing a few things. Every week of the event I will write for one artist/character/actor/soloist/group member of my choice or that I haven't written for before (this is to get some variety in these events since it does feel like I tend to write for the same people every time). These will be listed on the calendar below with those respective prompts. Seven (7) requests for actors and group members will be accepted (meaning for each category). Six (6) requests for soloists and drama/movie characters will be accepted (for each category). Like before, no repeats and only one celeb per prompt unless the prompt directly calls for it. I also ask that when requesting for soloists to please, please, request intially for the soloists listed on my masterlist (or suggest new ones for a quick drabble. i'm very open and did it for the 3 year event). I will take requests for group members who also promote as soloists later on in the requesting period when I feel like enough time has passed to accept them. Now all of that is out of the way, I do have a few things I wanted to express to all of you.
I want to thank you for the wonderful year and support I have received this 2023 season. I hope all of you have a very happy holiday season no matter what it is that you and your loved ones celebrate. Happy Holidays and Happy Reading! Please send requests in during the month of October! And please continue to be incredible readers and little chicken nuggies!
Love,
chicken-fifi 🐣🎅🎄

Sorry if you already said something, but do you have any thoughts on sm losing both baekhyun and now taemin as soloists? Is this snowballing likely to continue, and what do you see sm being in five years?
***
Hi Anon,
I've answered the question of where I see SM in 5 years here <- that's from about a month ago.
My view of Baekhyun and Taemin both jumping ship is that they were overdue. It was always a question of when not if. SM has a long, prolific history of bleeding talent and abusing their idols - that company is quite literally the worst offender among the Big3 just going by the number of lawsuits filed every 3 - 5 years from idols under their management. And this is aside the fact that SM is the only major company that compels their artists to sign 10-year contracts using a legal loophole, where the industry standard is 7 years. The reason SM's known practices aren't talked about more in fact, is because SM also has the largest amount of company stans in the wider k-pop fandom who strongly influence where scrutiny is placed.
And that reason is why even if this snowballs, it won't change anything dramatically for the company, because nobody is more committed to keeping illusion of SM's legacy/prestige alive more than fans of SM groups.
That said, based on debut dates, the group next up for contract negotiations is NCT. Because most of the founding members have promoted outside Korea (the legal loophole SM uses), this means they have 10-year contracts and so they'll only begin negotiations from the latter half of this year through 2026. As some of the members are due to enlist starting this year (Taeil, Jaehyun, Doyoung and Taeyong are the four oldest Korean members), it's assumed they are speedrunning negotiations ahead of that deadline, and it could be why we've seen solo and sub-unit projects for Taeil, Taeyong, Jaehyun and Doyoung in the last year. I'm highlighting those four in contrast to a member like Mark, who is easily NCT's most prominent member (alongside Taeyong) who still doesn't have a solo EP, and it's probably just a coincidence that he's Canadian and not up for military service. And so his negotiations can happen much later. Given the state of SM's dwindling idol portfolio and how they've been handling NCT so far, I expect almost all the members to re-sign (WayV is the wild card here), but I expect more bleeding from EXO and other legacy acts.
Anyway, I'm already rambling.
Baekhyun/Taemin have been associated with SM for a decade and that's not going to change even with them leaving the company, for two reasons:
They are still signed under SM for group activities.
SM stans won't relinquish that connection no matter how hard those idols attempt to rebrand their image. Like I've been saying, most fans of SM groups are actually company stans despite what they'll tell you.
So long as the make-up of k-pop fandoms remain dominated by SM stans, nothing is changing significantly for SM in this space in the next 5 years. Their new girl group will debut to much fan fare, Taemin and Baekhyun will continue being included in conversations about SM talent and influence, and SM company norms will continue as they have like every other time a high-profile talent has left their company - just fine.
The one caveat I didn't include in my prior post (linked above) but feel compelled to include now, is that the non-compete HYBE placed on Lee Sooman in 2023, expires in 2026. Given everything I've mentioned about how SM operates and the cult-like following LSM has both with his staff and k-pop stans generally, if he establishes a competing agency in the next 5 years, that could dramatically impact the life of SM Entertainment beyond any of the expected M&A scenarios I mentioned in point 3 of my linked post.
Overall, expect more of the same but there's a chance we get more fun times ahead. :)

SNSD/Girls' Generation Reading/Information
This is based on whatever I can pick up from SNSD. This is a psychic reading. There may be tea so I won't list names.
Some members are really close and are best friends, almost like family.
1 member is generally very disliked by the members and most of them think she is very dumb and ignorant.
Most of the members are dating at least someone. A couple of the members have no interest in marriage or having children. A few members are only into casual dating/flings. One member is particularly known to have many backups/options.
One member enjoys picking her nose and then flicking her boogers at others.
One member is very self-conscious of her looks, especially her hair. She is fearful of balding.
Some members are heavy partiers and also drink a lot. These members have also experimented with drugs and are recreational drug users. They like going to raves/clubs. A few members may be addicted to drugs/alcohol/smoking - I'm sensing pain killers in particular for one person.
A couple of members cannot sleep.
One member is very spoiled and thinks she is better than the rest of the members. She is quite arrogant and makes a lot of sharp comments that are quite condescending. Staff are scared of her passive aggressiveness/vengefulness.
One member likes to use her mental health as an excuse for things and as a way to market herself.
One member insists to have hot/pretty bodyguards around her.
One member hates showering/bathing esp washing her long hair so she can go on without showering for days.
One member has a shopping addiction and cannot stop buying luxury goods.
One member is in a long-term relationship. The love between the partners has died out but they are together for the sake of their career. She doesn't want to marry him.
Several members have cheated on their partners.
A couple of the members are particularly kinky.
One member likes to eat a lot of different food but will not finish any of them, so there's a lot of leftovers and she doesn't pack them up. Lots of food waste.
One member likes to sit in a way that's considered impolite/rude in public.
One member litters a lot and also doesn't pick up after her pet.
One member has a dog and uses the dog as an accessory. She actually doesn't care about the dog at all and the dog has starved on many occassions.
One member likes to post on forums/Naver etc and spread bad stuff about the other members or other idols.
One member really hates a lot of male idols and their groups, including BTS and EXO.
Several members actually do not get along with their parents or siblings and a few have some money issues with the family.
Two members want to leave SNSD.
Several members suffer from eating disorders or mental health illnesses. One has recovered from an eating disorder.
A couple of members have dated within the company, including staff/manager.
Several members have had to do some extra stuff to get their solos/acting gigs.
One member has gone on a date with several popular kpop male idols.
One member likes to date younger people like a huge age gap.
One member likes to make fun of people too much; it's usually seen as a "joke" but really she's laughing at others.
One member in particular is super heavily in debt and is always borrowing money/forgetting her wallet at outings. Some of the brands that she has endorsed are angry at her because she promised to make some posts/videos but they were of subpar quality or never happened.

[ARTICLE] 231018 Lay Zhang Is All-In: K-Pop Superstar and ‘No More Bets’ Actor Is Ready to Take on Hollywood
Tumblr media
As an original member of K-pop powerhouse Exo, Lay Zhang enjoys household-name status across wide swaths of Asia. But after conquering the world of boy bands and embarking on a wildly successful solo career, the Chinese actor, singer-songwriter, dancer and fashion icon just wants to collaborate with Joe Wright.
“I loved ‘The Darkest Hour’ and would like to have the opportunity to work with [him],” Zhang tells Variety of the British director. “I like a movie that can dig into the personality and conflict.”
For K-pop talent looking to cross over to Hollywood careers, the field is crowded. Blackpink’s Jennie Kim scored a buzzy role in Sam Levinson’s HBO series “The Idol.” And after signing with CAA in 2021, Aespa became the first K-pop act to perform at the Governors Ball and Outside Lands music festivals. But Zhang is perhaps best poised for the pivot thanks to his starring role in this year’s massive box office hit “No More Bets” (nearly $530 million worldwide). He’s already laid the groundwork: “No More Bets” got a limited release in the U.S. in September, while his solo debut EP, “Lose Control,” hit No. 4 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.
Last month, the 31-year-old pop phenom signed with Range Media, the management company behind Bradley Cooper and Tom Hardy, and embarked on a 13-day trip to the United States, where he took meetings with executives at production company Escape Artists (“The Equalizer”) as well as Sony casting director Ashley Marks.
“I want to be an actor who can bridge between Chinese and American culture,” says the hoodie-wearing Zhang, who prepped for the stateside swing by binge-watching “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “I hope that the success of ‘No More Bets’ in China is just the beginning of being able to be recognized as an actor in the U.S.”
Zhang, who is fluent in Mandarin, Korean and English, is still figuring out some of the cultural nuances. When asked who his favorite music performers are, he offers up Michael Jackson and Chris Brown before catching himself and checking with his manager. “Can I say that?” Then he settles on a controversy-free dream collaboration.
“The Weeknd would be at the top of the list,” Zhang says. “I really like the way he’s changed pop music, and he’s incredible what he’s able to do onstage.”
After wrapping concerts in August for his Grand Line tour in Shenzhen and Beijing, Zhang is looking to expand into the lucrative U.S. music market, recording with such producers as David Stewart and SoolGotHits (Beyoncé) during his visit.
On the film front, he will be seen starring opposite Jackie Chan in next year’s “A Legend,” the long- awaited sequel to the 2005 martial arts adventure pic “The Myth.” The big-budget production gave him an opportunity to work with one of his career inspirations.
“He does his own stunts,” Zhang says, explaining what’s most impressive about the “Rush Hour” star. As for his other bucket-list team-up, he says with a laugh, “Tom Cruise. He does his own stunts.”

Someone sent me an ask about the differences between my Kpop DR and this reality and at first, I answered that there weren't a lot of differences which... ended up being wrong. I remembered some things and decided to shift back there for a minute just to see so here's a list of some major differences that I noticed! I don't think this is all of them, just the things I saw. These also aren't in any specific order, just what comes to mind first!
Wonho didn't leave Monsta X
Soojin didn't leave G-idle
New Jeans debuted later (march 2025 specifically); as far as I can tell the members are the same
Rosé released "Stay" as a solo song instead of it being a group song
Aespa has different members; including the four here, they also have Koeun and Hina. I believe they were trainees here too!
CLC didn't disband (however, they are currently focusing on their solo careers)
Tao left Exo in 2019 instead of 2015.
There aren't any big political issues in my DR (it's pretty chill) so Lay was and is still active in Exo comebacks. The only one he wasn't there for was Obsession due to, I believe, scheduling issues.
Jae didn't leave Day6 but did debut as a soloist
Itzy's song "Boys Like You" had a very different sound and concept (it was more of a horror thing actually it was really fun! definitely a darker concept than they usually did)
Jisoo got into officially acting and is pretty good at it (I think she's gotten past the "idol actress" title!)
Again, these are just things I immediately noticed! There were some more differences with songs but most of it is just groups here releasing songs we released there. So... yeah! When it comes to "knowing" the future of kpop here, honestly I doubt it. I have seen some things that are the same (specifically certain comebacks) but there have been some really weird differences too. My DR is a lot more idealistic so a lot of the "bad" things didn't happen.

[NEWS] Chen - 221116 Teen Vogue: “EXO’s Chen Opens Up About His Long-Awaited Homecoming With Album ‘Last Scene’”
"“A lot of things changed, and my thoughts changed during my recent hiatus,” he tells Teen Vogue.
Kim Jongdae, best known initially to fans as Chen, a member of the record-breaking group K-pop EXO, shared a promotional image for his third solo album of a mostly bare room replicated nine times. Shot through a sheer-curtained window, each photo is bathed in a different rich color – purple, blue, orange, green, and in the center, a muted gray. In each one he plants himself in a new position as if surveying the room from different angles, swathed in warm-hued light. He sits on a windowsill, stares through to the outside, and leans against a counter looking straight into the camera. The effect feels like an old-fashioned slide projector scanning through some kind of homecoming, illuminating the memories of a static environment with an ever-shifting perspective.
The idea of homecoming feels fitting for Chen. “A lot of things changed, and my thoughts changed during my recent hiatus,” he tells Teen Vogue over a video call from Seoul. The hiatus he refers to is the mandatory military service that is required for almost all men under the age of 28 in South Korea. After enlisting back in 2020, he was discharged in April of this year.
This new album is ironically called Last Scene, despite it being his re-entry into the world of making music, and its release acts as a sort of bookend to this break. His last solo album, Dear My Dear, and EXO album, Obsession, were both released in 2019. There’s a calm ease that radiates from Chen as he muses on approaching his comfortable creative bedfellow with a renewed frame of mind. “I was able to look back on who I am and reflect on what I am feeling,” he says. “There were a lot of questions that I asked myself throughout this process. It was a time for me to discover more about myself, and I spent time contemplating what I needed to be able to express my stories and ideas.”
The result is a compact but full six-track album, led by its titular song which is an orchestral, epic ballad about heartbreak. Fans will likely feel a soothing sense of familiarity with his genre of choice, as it’s one that has defined his solo output and led to him being dubbed the “Ballad King.”
Time feels omnipresent in conversation with Chen, in both the answers he gives and the space he lingers to take pause in his reflections. Each sentence feels completely intentional, like he doesn’t want to let a single important word go unsaid or clumsily expressed. In a field as fast-moving as K-pop, taking time is a luxury. It’s a concept that sits firmly at the center of the industry. Albums are numbered, birthdays marked with commemorative merch drops, group anniversaries dutifully celebrated like festivals, and metaphorical timers run down, for men at least, to the moment they choose to enlist. Chen’s military service overlapped with a landmark date in his career, EXO’s tenth anniversary.
Chen found fame in 2012 when EXO debuted as an all-singing, all-dancing, all-superpowered group (their concept literally involved each member taking on a particular power to be associated with). Like the lightning that a fresh-faced 19-year-old Chen adopted as a force, they sliced blindingly through the scene to become one of the most successful groups in history, amassing millions of fans worldwide and an enormously dedicated following that’s still anomalous in modern pop music. At the inception of that decade, Chen bowled over new fans with a juxtaposition of unassuming, boyish looks and a velvety, cavernous vocal prowess that lent itself not only to the 15 albums that he’s been a part of with EXO (to date) but to subunit EXO-CBX (alongside bandmates Baekhyun and Xiumin), countless K-Drama OSTs, and the now-three solo albums to his name. As anyone evolving through the ages of 20 to 30 can attest, it’s a period of time chronicled by immeasurable growth and some rather momentous personal life changes.
“With the spotlight comes the responsibility to keep working on myself, and to do my best in every given opportunity. I think these areas have been the biggest areas of change for me: a growing sense of responsibility, and to continuously strive to be a better version of myself, especially on stage,” Chen reflects, once again musing on the nearly packaged decennium of his fame. “When I look back at the past ten years, it still seems like a dream to me. Who else could have experienced what I’ve experienced, and go through what I’ve been through? There are times, even now, when it’s hard for me to grasp onto the fact that I have experienced these things, and that I am a person in the spotlight.”
He’s been fondly reminiscing a lot recently, maybe as a result of being able to celebrate milestones not usually afforded to his contemporaries. He thinks about the early days of EXO and the memories built with its members. The mention of his eight friends elicits a visible warmth that radiates through the screen. The value he places on them is inarguable, especially their support around the release of this long-awaited comeback. “I can’t fully express it in words, but each member gave me a lot of encouragement. They were a great source of strength for me,” he says. “I can still remember how each member treated me like nothing was happening, as though everything was just the same. I get overwhelmed thinking about it.”
There’s clearly an unbreakable bond between the group, something forged in the unique whirlwind they found themselves in 2013 when their album, XOXO, and its lead single “Growl,” became the first K-pop album in over a decade to sell a million copies. It’s impossible to overstate the stratospheric success Chen experienced alongside the rest of EXO, and this concept-appropriate lightning-in-a-bottle moment has filled his thoughts of late. “A memory that suddenly comes into mind is, and I don’t know why, but it’s when we first released our Growl album. It’s the album that played the biggest role in making EXO who we are today, and I had a lot of fun.” He adds that sometimes videos of performances of the song, which are cringingly early 2010’s in their styling, will pop up on his YouTube feed but he’s too embarrassed to click. “I get very shocked watching myself.”
Chen gives the impression of a traveler making stops on a journey through his own past, which is what homecomings often feel like. Like we’re watching an old movie with characters we vaguely remember. The memories we cherish aren’t always the ones we thought we’d hold dear, and moments of insignificance sometimes metastasise into the building blocks of who we become later down the line. “I want to tell my younger self to learn to enjoy each moment a bit more,” Chen says. “I was very young back then, and compared to my age and experience, I received so much love and popularity. I wasn’t able to receive this love and appreciation as wholeheartedly as I hoped. There were times when I blamed myself for this. I look back and wonder now, only if I knew how to enjoy it a bit more. I might have been able to attempt and achieve more things. There’s a sense of regret that remains in me.” Revisiting familiar haunts also makes us confront the reality that our perception of spaces entirely changes depending on where we visit them in our lives. For Chen, the industry and fans may be the same, but he is different.
He’s channeled that new perspective into this album which, alongside the titular ballad, ventures into fresh solo territory like leaning into the R&B and pop that litters EXO’s discography. Those genres are sprinkled into the fourth track on the album, a relatable, and self-penned, ode to unrequited love called “I Don’t Even Mind” which he says took two hours to write.
“It was supposed to be a sketch, so I was a little suspicious when the team told me a couple of days later that these were the final lyrics that were chosen for the song. I said, ‘Are you sure? Is this right?,’” he says, laughing. The art of songwriting isn’t something that necessarily comes naturally to him, but it’s something he notes that allows him to express his interiority in new ways. “I think I get my inspiration from my day-to-day life. It might be a word that clings to me from a conversation with someone, or I also like to write songs based on my personal experiences. In the past, I used my imagination to write songs, but with ‘I Don’t Even Mind,’ I wanted to capture myself, just as I am.”
Another crucial distinction from previous releases was the power of learning to share the load. In interviews around his last album, he mentioned being so stressed he found it hard to sleep. “With the first and second solo albums, I had a lot of ambition and desire. I was quite stubborn about what I wanted to do, and I expressed this quite clearly during our meetings,” he says. “I decided to let go of my stubbornness and listen to the voices around me.” Looking outward and accepting help from others also helped him focus on his true motivations through the reeds. “You know I love music, but I don’t think it’s possible to do it by myself. I know it’s a very cliché answer, but my fans are my biggest motivation. The reason why I could do my music until now is because I have people who love me and support me, and because there is someone that is listening to my voice.” And as for being able to get some shut-eye? “I slept well.”
After any homecoming comes a period of bedding in. The newly familiar becomes comfortable again and focus shifts to where we point that solace next. Within the gilded trappings of stasis grows possibility and the chance for further success with the safety net of security. “As time goes on, I want to be more authentic and be open to express myself fully,” Chen says, hopeful for the opportunities yet to come. “I hope to be someone who is approachable and relatable to my fans, not just in my solo activities, but also in my group activities.”
Once again, talk turns back to EXO, a homecoming within his homecoming. “To be back on stage as a group, to sing together — I missed being together with the group the most,” he says. “It’s already been 10 years for [EXO] as a group, and I can’t wait to see who we will become in the years to come.” For Chen, the future hopefully looks a lot like what he’s known before, just saturated with new lights and colors. And that’s everything he could hope for."

❃EXO's chances of surviving a zombie apocalypse❃
A/N: because why have your first post be romantic or suggestive when it can be unserious and downright weird.
Tumblr media
Xiumin/Minseok: 9/10
✾ Let’s be honest, this man is way too good at sports not to survive far into a zombie apocalypse. Pretty sure those skills will translate and be useful in some way. He can outrun them so easily that he never truly finds himself in any danger.
✾ Xiumin actually possesses functional brain cells and a good dose of common sense which means he makes good, well thought out, decisions. Unlike the beagle line, he won’t get himself stupidly killed.
✾ Despite all the chaos, he is incredibly organized, keeping precise track of what he has and needs.
✾ He can properly take care of himself and could run this thing solo. He is not dependent on others to do things for him and he strikes me as someone who is perfectly content to be on his own. The only reason he would team up with the others is for the company and because he finds their idiocy amusing.
✾ He has the added bonus that the zombies think he is adorable, like a pet, so they will keep him alive even when he does get caught.
Tumblr media
Suho/Junmyeon: 5/10
✾ Remember that time when Suho fell asleep during carting? Yeah, he is beyond exhausted before the apocalypse even starts and will probably die by accidentally falling asleep. Suho will try to ‘rest his eyes’ and before he knows it a zombie is gnawing on his arm.
✾ Honestly trying his hardest to keep the rest of the members from dying, but instead of appreciating his efforts, they keep making fun of him for it. They are really testing his patience but he feels too responsible for their safety to leave them to fend for themselves.
✾ Not that anything he says matters, they never truly listen to him so instead he has to be the one to get them out of the dangerous situations they get themselves in.
✾ If he doesn’t get eaten due to his permanent exhaustion, he would be the type to accept his fate. The members will drive him insane to the point where he will simply give up and walk into a hoard of zombies with open arms.
✾ If you pair him up with his babies Kai and Sehun his survival rate somehow increases. Nobody touches his babies.
Tumblr media
Baekhyun: ?/10
✾ Okay, so he either survives until the end or does something stupid and gets himself killed.  His survival rate is either 10/10 or 0/10, there is no in-between.
✾ Like Baekhyun is an ace in most games so he has the ability to outsmart the apocalypse if he puts in the effort. He is competitive enough to take it seriously, too.
✾ His survival truly depends on whether he gives in to his intrusive thoughts and let’s be fair, he has many and zero impulse control.
✾ He would, for instance, believe that he can successfully pretend to be a zombie to blend in with them. He has a lot of dumb ideas and will either act on it himself or get someone else to try it out.
✾ Obviously, his plans wouldn’t work and he, or his chosen guinea pig, would get eaten. Then again, it is Baekhyun and somehow he always manages to come out on top, so who knows, he might survive.
Tumblr media
Chen/Jongdae: 6.5/10
✾ Okay, this man is a father so he gets to enjoy the father buff. If his family is with him, he is near unstoppable. Chen can be competitive and has a lot of energy, so technically his chances aren’t too bad.
✾ His main issue is that, well, every zombie and their mother can hear him from the other side of the planet. He is absolutely oblivious as to why the zombies keep finding him.
✾ Like Chen, please use your inner voice, zombies are not deaf and you are giving them your location whenever you talk.
✾ Will ‘accidentally’ push Chanyeol into a zombie when he jokes about being the C in CBX and finally find peace. At this point, he kind of deserves it.
Tumblr media
Chanyeol: -10/10
✾ Hear me out, this man is a mess.
✾ Technically, he could survive but he is another one that for sure will listen to his intrusive thoughts. Like let’s be fair, Chanyeol has mastered an array of weird skills just because he can’t stand being bad at something; he will be just as determined to figure out how to survive during an apocalypse.
✾ The type to “I saw this in a film” and try it. He will quickly discover that most of it won’t work because those are movies and not real life. Still, he will have the biggest motivation to figure things out, even if most of his sources are fiction.
✾ The problem is that he is way too much into this whole apocalypse scenario. He will try to out-apocalypse the others or will make up some sort of stupid competition to kill time because sitting still for five minutes is for losers.
✾ He comes up with the “Who can get closest to the zombie without getting killed” game. Baekhyun might have helped.
✾ To be honest, it doesn’t quite matter how good his cards are in the context of a zombie apocalypse, he will probably die within a day because he has two left feet and a very intimate relationship with the floor.
Tumblr media
D.O./Kyungsoo: 7/10
✾ Pair him up with another member, and suddenly their chances increase.
✾ His cooking skills make him so incredibly valuable. He will make sure no one starves, and can make a decent meal out of pretty much anything you give him.
✾ The others try their hardest to keep him alive because being in an apocalypse does not mean one has to eat grass.
✾ Then again, he would not hesitate to sacrifice the others to the zombies if they annoy him.
✾ The only one able to keep the beagle line from doing stupid shit with his threats.
✾ You can’t really count on him outrunning the zombies, though. We have all seen this man attempt to play soccer, he is not made for physical activity. He will not survive with his physical skills and will absolutely accept his fate rather than try.
Tumblr media
Kai/Jongin: -100000000/10
✾ Listen, this man will die within the first five seconds of the apocalypse.
✾ It is not a question of whether he dies, more so than how. There are so many ways that he can get himself killed, even without the apocalypse playing a major factor.
✾ He could give himself food poisoning when he tries to cook or trip over his own feet when he tries to run away from the zombies. He does not really have a great sense of self-preservation.
✾ 10000% the type to think that they could befriend the zombies because “zombies are people too.” Luckily for him, the zombies do think he is adorable and won’t immediately eat him when he gets too close.
✾ But yeah, if it isn’t for the others constantly monitoring him, he is dead.
Tumblr media
Sehun: 1000/10
✾ Last to die because his members will do everything they can to keep him alive. Maknae privileges and whatnot.
✾ He is very much dependent on his members to do basically anything, but the thing is, they would do it without question.
✾ He will complain the entire time and whine constantly.
✾ If Suho dies, you might as well kill him too. How is he supposed to sleep without his emotional-support-hyung??? So yeah, the only way to really decrease his survival rate is to eliminate his members.
✾ Honestly, we all are simply living in his world, what Sehun wants, Sehun gets. It might even extend to the zombies. He would just ask them to stop trying to eat him and they would oblige because, well, Sehun asked.
✾ He is 1000% responsible for the cure being found. It has nothing to do with Sehun finding it himself. Instead, when/if he gets bitten, the members will stop at nothing to find a way to rid him of the disease. Sleep? Who needs sleep when Oh Sehun is dying!?

Do you think when it comes to foreign members sm treat them equally with k members??
Yes.
Naturally, there are ought to be xenophobic staff members, who are probably mean and microagressive in daily life, however, the company itself gives the same opportunities.
Don't listen to the buzz fans produce. Look at the history and the facts.
Yuta was the first Japanese trainee. He was debuted as a Rookie earlier and he was pushed alongside Jaehyun and Taeyong. He was a pannelist on a TV show, he was a guest MC, he had cameos prior to debut. Here he is in an EXO's MV together with Jae. Yuta is allowed to make his own image (the hairstyles, the rock vibe of recent). And let's not pretend it was Yuta's idea to launch himself in Japan with "the Japanese with most IG subscribers". Or that he personally contacted all Japanese magazines to get a pictorial.
Shotaro was debuted after a few months in the company and got a lot of brand deals, magazine covers, was established as a dancer (ConNextion), films a lot of pre-debut promotional material for the Japanese market (the roadshow with Yuta, what is NCT with Sungchan).
Ten debuted in t7s, got 2 solo songs before Taeyong, is in SuperM. Is getting a solo album ahead of all 127 vocalists this year. Together with Jisung he attended tap-dance classes in SM.
Xiaojun is pushed as a vocalist a lot. A song with SM's DJ, covers, guesting on Korean TV shows where he sings live, KunXiao duo, now he is a music show MC. He also acted in a Chinese tv-series.
WinWin never put much effort in learning Korean or hip-hop based idol dances, and yet noone mistreated him for it.
LSM first took Lay who was exiled for bad behaviour from SM back and later gave Lay a whole company in China. NingNing gets a lot of spotlight in aespa's MVs.
Chenle, Renjun, Kun - all were hosts of a Chinese language radio show. Yuta got a radio show in Japanese as well. Renjun will soon have more covers on YT than Doyoung put out.
It's Koreans who hate on foreign members, and Korean TV companies that don't have enough opportunities to offer (although it seems to change).
Yuta doesn't get many lines because he is not the strongest vocalist in 127. On the other hand, Renjun gets a lot of highlight moments in Dream songs because he is a lead vocal.
"Zoo" got its own stage for SMtown. And 3 out of 5 unit members are non-Koreans (Giselle is half-Korean, half-Japanese, but Korean public doesn't accept her easily).
It's an idol's responsibility to have NingNing's (and Xiaojun's) attitude and better oneself constantly to trample all "company's attempts" at getting in their way.
Ask yourself, why both Hendery and Xiaojun are Chinese, and yet it is the "more hateful" mainlander who is on Korean TV.

"K-pop agency SM Entertainment has released a preview of its upcoming music releases for the third quarter of 2023.
Today (May 11), SM Entertainment released an earnings report for the first quarter of 2023. In it, the K-pop agency previewed plans for its line-up of upcoming releases in the next five months, up until the third quarter of the year.
According to the report, NCT member Taeyong is set to release his first mini-album in the second quarter of 2023. This would make him the first member of the boyband to officially go solo, though many of them have released solo tracks in the past.
In addition, veteran K-pop boyband SHINee are set to release their eight studio album in the same timeframe. In a previous SM Entertainment earnings report, the agency had earmarked the record for released in May 2023. It is currently unclear if those plans have changed.
SM Entertainment has plans to release nine projects from current artists and debut two new acts in the third quarter of 2023. Three artists – namely EXO, NCT Dream and NCT – are set to release studio albums in this timeframe. In addition, SHINee’s Onew is set to drop a repackaged album, presumably of March’s ‘Circle’.
Meanwhile, the artists who are planned to release new mini-albums are TXVQ‘s Yunho (aka U-Know), Red Velvet‘s Wendy, SHINee’s Key, D.O. of EXO and Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon. Notably, Taeyeon’s solo release had initially been planned for release in April, according to SM Entertainment’s previous music line-up preview."

But do you think sm will let ji go just like that? What about your opinion on this? I mean on ji's contract renewal. Is there a huge possibility that he will renew or the other way around?
Tbvh I never wanted to answer these kind of questions, The admins told me to avoid Them. because before all this happened we knew everything we got rumors about CBX and Chanyeol conflicts with SM and Jongdae's issue with SM that they don't give a fuck about him and stuff, even about Ksoo.
But the issue is! Those were all rumors the admins said if they shared them and something doesn't go as they said then that would harm their credibility. So I don't share some stuff just because some fans here are so hateful and wait for the smallest slightest chance to jump on the admins and talk shit and attack them ( from what I've saw in the 1500+ asks in the asks box) . I still can see in the asks box hurtful and hateful asks talking shit (to the other admins). So I play it smart and don't share anything except KAISOO related and if I'm sure from it, because at the end of the day no one appreciates the efforts and they just bash you for providing info if it doesn't go well with their fantasies or imagination or what they heard! Sometimes the issue is so controversial you can't share anything about it.
I can't know Everything! Nor could the previous admins. Of course sometimes I and them just say our opinions on an issue ! And I saw from last posts, sometimes they shared just mere rumors they heard and they clearly mentioned as : "It's just a rumor" or " this is just my opinion" but people think of it as a fact! As a confirmed info from your side! And they hold you culprit for it if it doesn't happen ! Hello? It's just a rumor they clearly said it in a disclaimer.
Sorry not sorry for the rant.
Back to Topic, I was told by the admins that this is how I should write in terms of separated paragraphs as the " full length no spaced paragraphs" tend to get overwhelming and hard to read. I was taught to write the same way they did because this is what this audience was used to and they know how to consume and read the content of this page like THIS. I was asked to write in colors and bold characters when it's an important point . I even get my posts reviewed at first haha . Am I being recruited or what?
Back to the topic again, 😅 I just noticed I didn't go the topic earlier.
They won't let him go. They still want Exo as a group! Which is why they set this stupid condition in their exclusive contracts that if they want solo activities under another company it should be a company they made themselves or in a company of each other. For example Ji can make a Unit with Ksoo under Ksoo's company D'You get it?
So this is why I think he can do something under Ksoo's or Chanyeol's or Baekhyun's or His own company. Which brings us back to the point of "Yes! There's hope and room for Kadi Unit" but IF Ksoo's company wouldn't be only focused on managing his acting career.
When a band members leave the company there should always be someone under that company to ensure the safety of the Name of the band and the brand of the band and handle projects and profits and solve problems and issues related to the " band and the company" 's older conflicts upon unpaid shows or unpaid promotions or unfinished projects etc... to settle everything down before all of them leave if they all want to leave (which is what I think Exo would do) though Suho is still studying Business management on a larger spectrum he's engraving himself in the business world on a deeper scale he's meeting with big companies CEOs and shareholders and managers and businessmen in SM and in the industry to get the skills to build an empire of a Company. Suho is very smart ! He's not leaving until he's ready 1000%. Ji is the same he's given the best projects and deals and promotions when he asks for them, SM has no plans on Letting him go him and Baekhyun.
But Ji still has the choice to leave when his contract ends, I mean no one can stop him when it's officially expired! Unless! They give him a very very tempting and convincing Deal with Immense profit. And his exclusive contract that he signed last year after the original 7+3= 10 years contract ended will be frozen for two years due to military so he ain't going nowhere for the time being. Seeing that SM said only one member didn't sign the contract and that was Ksoo. So his exclusive contract he signed with the members last December will be frozen until he comes back.

thank you so much for saying this!!! 🩷 this is exactly how i feel 😕
i posted about this briefly yesterday but obviously we are all very upset that some of the upcoming performances are without kun 😭 i love him so much and he loves wayv so much it’s a shame he can’t be there. i genuinely hope there is a valid reason for his absence such as him having a solo schedule that’s important to his career on a similar level or because of his health. if it’s any other bs i’ll be extremely skeptical. i hope ess em comes out with a statement explaining this in a timely manner.
but it’s been horrible to see how some “weishennies” who have claimed to be ot6 act like ot5s…….
i’ve been feeling like a lot of them are ot5 at heart, i’m not sure if it’s resentment, or they just don’t care about ww, whatever it is, it’s sad to see especially when yunqis have explained the situation many times and anyone who keeps up with him on a superficial level knows he is busy.
i also talked about this on the nct level as a whole, how every member fandom is screaming crying throwing up at the doors of the ess em building begging them to give their bias a solo schedule but when my bias has solo schedules it’s a problem ?
don’t even start with him missing group schedules being the problem because that’s ALL on ess em. like the last tweet above said, this man is promoting wayv more than that company ever could even when he’s doing things on his own…
i also touched upon this a while back but i am in full support of all nct members having solo activities because the system and the way this group is set up can really screw them over unfortunately. as someone who loves nct and all of its members, i am 100% in favor of them having solo schedules. obviously as an nctzen who is there because i love the music, the members, and their dynamic first and foremost, i wish ww and everyone else can be there at all times when they are needed for group schedules. but unfortunately, the incompetence of ess em and their failure to properly plan things more than a week in advance makes it impossible for this to be a reality.
all in all, it sucks we don’t get w6yv. i am so sad and i hope it either changes or we get the explanation we deserve.
but i am so happy for idol winwin and even in the face of this bad news i will be celebrating his participation in these events. these “nctzens” and “weishennies” who are acting like the people in the first tweet just hate winwin because the set up is a lose lose situation (lol): he either doesn’t participate because he has other activities, or he does participate and people hate him because all the sudden he’s not the one they want to see.
i am grateful that it appears we will be getting more ot6 content going forward. hopefully after the group officially became 6 (more certainty going forward), and ess em is being forced to get their mess together (thank you exo), things will get better. i am hopeful for the future of w6yv and i know that they will only be more successful! please love and support all of them ❤️

haha yeah i saw nonfans saying they were impressed with suho’s act and liked him because it felt so…. personal? like idk if you’ve seen it but fans were literally meeting & taking pictures with him in the streets. obviously things like that concern me sometimes because of saesangs & whatnot but i think with junmyeon, people know better by now lol. another thing i’m glad about regarding his festival performances is that it proves he can carry a stage on his own (just him and a live band at that)! this might sound strange but sometimes i worry where suho stands as an artist in today’s industry because he’s a relatively weak dancer and a huge emphasis as been put on dancing/performing in kpop these days. like jongin delivers god-tier performances & goes viral because of his dancing, and i guess i can’t stop comparing junmyeon to other members because their music appeals to kpop stans more? obviously you don’t need to be a good dancer to deliver a good performance, but it is something that troubles me a bit lol.
i know!!! so many people were really impressed by his performance and they really liked it! it's so astounding to me because like, that's literally Suho of EXO, like help ... know your elders. that's kpop ROYALTY ... that man wrote history ... anyways, i am very glad that the audience loved him so much, especially because (unlike kai, for example, because you mentioned him) he didn't perform any exo stuff and just relied on his solo releases. and people loved it! he was very charming, too. i just .. god, i just love him so much, watching him up on that stage really just made me cry.
i think he is underestimated a lot. in exo, he is one of the weakest dancers and people love to make fun of him for that. he is not as well known as a vocalist as baekhyun or jongdae, and he isn't as regarded as an actor as kyungsoo but ... that doesn't make him worse? in fact, junmyeon is a very talented vocalist, a very skilled singer, a good actor ... you name it! i think what we have to keep in mind is that he knows himself and his audience, and as his audience we should have faith in him as well? like, i'm sorry but i don't go to see junmyeon perform as a solo artist and expect him to dance? that is not who he is and not the music he makes, and we as his fans know that. i'm aware it's always different in front of a general audience but it was a very balanced line up for the mik festival and the people clearly loved to see him and have him for what he is. i wouldn't be too worried. he has found a niche and a market for himself. junmyeon is not stupid either, he is very aware of where he has positioned himself as an artist. he has learned to play to his strengths and how to appeal to an audience. (the same goes for his variety appearances as well).
