I meant to post this sooner but I got caught up with holiday and work stuff. I wanted to try and create my interpretation of Wednesday and Enid's looks from the Wednesday show. Okay, so this isn't one of my first screenshots. Most of the old ones have either been deleted, or I no longer have the Sims in my save. But I did make this "Holidays Across the Decades" lookbook almost two years ago, and since then a few more pieces of CC have been created or updated.

1810s: Caroline's gloves and shoes by @peebsplays. (Keep a look out for an update to the dress).

1900s: Nellie's dress by myself.

2020s: Diwali outfit by myself. (This was originally not associated with any character, but I put it on the 2023 Girl of the Year, Kavi).

By including Nellie and Kavi, I was at a number that didn't divide evenly. To make the rows even I added Nicki in something similar to her NYE outfit.

I've changed computers/hard drives too many times to still have any of my first screenshots, so the earliest I can go is the start of my blog. (Honestly though even in that short time period my style has changed a lot.)

One of my very first lookbook models from October '21 vs. the version of him in my game now. He went from teenage Disney catalogue model to battle-scarred adult vampire hunter. 🧛

Happy New Year everybody!

Since it's been really long since I posted anything I just wanted to drop a note.

I haven't given up on the Sims yet, but, as it seems, I am on a hiatus. Or should I say that I am on a recoloring/building hiatus? Because I do occasionally open my game to play a little. It just doesn't manifest itself to something shareable.

This winter I've had some stubborn health issues, so my capacity has been low. It's boring and very annoying, and sometimes painful, but at least it's not something really dangerous. Still, I'm struggling to find energy even for real life things, so there is not much left for simming.

I was able to have some tiny bit of progress in my story at least, but even that might be difficult the coming months, if I'm not feeling any better. I hope to be back with recolors and what-not in a few months, but until then; I'm still around, drooling over all the wonderful cc you make, and enjoying your lookbooks and stories. It's very inspiring! 💖

will i ever escape CAS ? probably not <3 anywho not sure how comparable these are bc my screenies are now taken w gshade + edited, but i’m rly happy with where i’m at :) i still think i ate w chayton tho, i’ll def be remaking him in my current style. i think the biggest difference is my uninhibited use of skin details, i’m an absolute fiend for facial texture, highlights, and blush now 😌 i’m also finally at a place where i’m proud of my content + editing style. i miss making lookbooks, but they’re also sooo much work 🤧 maybe some day i’ll do another. anyways, here’s to one year on simblr !

the  official  holiday  of  love  might  be  over,  but  romance  is  never  truly  out  of  season.  with  their  ten  year  anniversary  coming  up,  renee  carlisle  and  her  wife  taylor  moreno-carlisle  are  inviting  the  entire  company,  employees  as  well  as  all  signed  artists,  to  the  love  themed  party  of  the  year.  having  gotten  married  relatively  privately,  they  have  now  set  their  mind  on  making  their  anniversary  a  happy  occasion  for  everyone.  keeping  their  plans  to  renew  their  vows  at  this  occasion  private  for  now,  all  everyone  knows  is  that  this  event  will  include  a  live  set  by  danai  herself  and  endless  love  themed  amusements  for  the  guests  to  take  their  minds  off  of  their  daily  struggles.  renting  out  a  gigantic  old  farm  venue,  they  spared  no  expenses.  from  a  fair  with  several  love  themed  games  and  rides,  to  taking  boats  out  on  the  nearby  lake  and  feeding  the  swans  or  sending  cute  notes  to  your  loved  ones    —    there  is  no  end  to  the  amusements  one  might  find  here.  there  is  only  one  rule,  renee  and  taylor  are  asking  guests  to  leave  their  phones  at  the  front  gate,  wanting  to  keep  this  event  private  for  the  safety  and  comfort  of  all  its  more  or  less  famous  guests.  but  does  everyone  truly  follow  those  rules  ?    who  knows.

it  isn’t  all  to  often  you  get  invited  to  an  undercover  vow  renewal  super  bash,  but  it  is  certainly  reality  for  everyone  working  at  revolution  records.  so  now  it’s  time  for  your  muses  to  pack  their  things,  maybe  form  some  rideshares  and  make  their  way  out  of  the  city  for  a  weekend  of  fun.  generally  speaking,  they  are  invited  to  stay  there  from  saturday  around  noon,  until  late  afternoon  on  sunday.  their  stay,  including  accomodations  and  food,  is  paid  for  by  the  carlisles,  who  felt  after  their  super  private  wedding  the  vow  renewal  party  should  be  all  the  grander.  the  only  thing  they  request  is  for  all  the  guests  to  leave  their  phones  at  check-in.  this  party  is  expecting  a  fair  amount  of  high  profile  guests  and  they  are  supposed  to  feel  safe  and  free  attending,  just  like  everybody  else.  however,  there  might  be  some  ways  in  which  your  muse  could  trick  the  system.

saturday  is  the  time  for  partying  and  exploring  the  grounds.  there  is  certainly  enough  time  for  them  to  get  around  to  all  the  experiences  the  pair  has  prepared  for  them  as  well  as  catch  up  with  all  their  labelmates  and  co-workers.  they  might  also  send  out  roses  with  notes  to  their  ( more  or  less )  loved  ones,  that  will  be  delivered  on  sunday.  sunday  will  start  with  a  celebratory  brunch.  for  this  reason,  guests  have  been  asked  to  follow  a  semi  formal  dress  code,  encouraged  to  wear  outfits  with  red  or  pink  colours  to  celebrate  the  love.  the  brunch  will  be  followed  by  the  actual  surprise  vow  renewal,  featuring  a  touching  speach  by  cfo  nikhil,  and  celebration  afterwards.  there  will  be  champagne,  there  will  be  cake  and  pictures  taken  by  the  hired  photographer  but  most  importantly  a  performance  by  danai  herself.

i hope everyone is feeling that they can upload whatever they want about their game, their screenshots, lookbooks, or whatever. i hope everyone feels like they can be themselves in this community.

it doesn’t matter if you’re using reshade or not, it doesn’t matter if you aren’t editing your screenshots, etc. your blog doesn’t have to look a certain way to fit in either.

just find your style, and go for what you like and how YOU want it. honestly i really like the blogs that are personal and doesn’t look like everybody else’s.

i still try to find my own style, but before i really struggled bc i felt like i had to “fit in” here on tumblr, like that i had to have this “aesthetic” blog & design and so on, but when i designed my blog after how other simblr blogs looked like, it didn’t feel like my blog or my style at all, and i wasn’t really enjoying tumblr.

anyway, it’s the middle of the night and I’m just rambling. also, sorry for bad english 🙃 but probably you’ll get my point anyway.

just do your own thing and let your blog look like whatever you want as long is something that you like! and not because it feels like it should look a certain way.

I thought about doing this with Amos Doogler or Leonardo Spiel, but I don't feel like I've played them long enough to know concrete facts. I decided instead to just do my new Lookbook sim Daniel, because then I can say whatever I want give him a bit of personality and depth! 🙂
