Chapter 11 in my story The First Ones is starting today. Seventeen posts are in the queue, and updates will be on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday as usual. If you want to read it you should follow my sideblog @kyriat-stories, because I will not repost here. 😊

We start with a visit to the royal family, but the main focus will be on Noor and Eira, as before. Drama is on the way!

The King of Manthos, the young Mijararos, had payed a friendly visit to King of Selinódasos, the wealthy King Akrísios, who was also married to Mijaros' aunt, Queen Laonome. This was a courtesy visit, but with an agenda. They had an important issue to discuss: To strengthen the ties between the two kingdoms through an agreement on marriage.

When seeing his potential wife, King Mijararos was quite startled.

- But she is still a child! I don't think this is a good idea.

- Well, you knew her age already, didn't you? She is almost ten winters.

- When grandmother said "marry your cousin" I didn't realize she meant Princess Nikh. I always assumed she meant Princess Euthalia. This is not what I had prepared for.

- Princess Euthalia is already spoken for. We have already made an agreement with the Kingdom of Koiláda Chalkoú.

- I don't mind cousin Mijarare, Nikh said, I know you will be a kind husband. And also grandma and uncle Heraklis will be there, so I'm not afraid.

- Thank you for that, Nikh my dear, but it's not that easy. There are expectations that you simply can't fill.

- There would be a long period of engagement of course, at least three winters. The important thing now is the agreement, not the fulfillment.

- I hear you uncle, and I respect that, but I ... I just can't. The age difference bothers me, and it will probably do so for many years. The gap is too large. I'm sorry, I will just have to decline.

- Mother will not be pleased, Laonome said. The whole family will be so disappointed.

- It can't be helped aunt Laonome, this is impossible. I will have to look for a wife elsewhere I'm afraid.

- Is it my fault cousin Mijarare? Am I too ugly? You don't love me?

- Of course I love you! Just not in a husband-and-wife-way, okay? Besides, you are the prettiest girl in the whole kingdom and any young man will be proud to marry you, as soon as you get a bit older.

- I'm really sorry uncle. But might I suggest that you consider my brother Linos for Nikh? They are closer in age, and he is second to the throne.

- I was hoping for a more prestigious marriage, so I don't know. It's not what I had planned for my daughter. This is most unfortunate.

- My men! Laonome cut in. We must be able to solve this somehow.

- I don't see how, Mijararos answered.

- Not me neither, Akrisios agreed.

- Dear nephew, would you consider marrying Euthalia, if she wasn't spoken for?

- I would. We are about the same age at least.

- So if we can reach an agreement with the King of Koiláda Chalkoú to let her go, would we have an agreement? Even if the dowry would be lower?

- Why should it be lower?

- Because we would have to offer something to the King of Koiláda Chalkoú. As a compensation.

- Do you think he would be willing to discuss it?

- It's worth a try.

- And Euthalia, how would she feel about it, would she consider living at Manthos palace?

- Oh, absolutely. She wasn't very keen on going to Koiláda Chalkoú, that's for sure. She's been sulking for weeks now.

- Ironically, that sounds promising. So maybe we have an agreement then?

- Provided the King of Koiláda Chalkoú agrees; yes!

- When I come home, Mijararos added, I will suggest that the house of Manthos and grandmother assists with the compensation, just to make sure he will think it's worth it.

- You make it sound so easy, Laonome laughed.

- What?

- "I will suggest that grandmother assists". That woman is not known for accepting any suggestions easily. Unless it's in her interest.

- It's just a matter of making her realizing just that, it is in her interest. I know what I will have to do.

A linenfication and recolor of two of the cloaks from Valhallan. Details and download under the cut.

If you are a historical player like me, I'm sure you love the cloaks from @valhallansim. Personally I can't live without them, but I wanted to give them a linen look, and also the colors from the Knossos and Efrosyni palettes to go with other outfits of mine.

I've had these in my WIP folder for some time and was planning to make a larger set, but you know, things happen.

Both these cloaks are in the hat category. Valhallan also have a necklace and bracelet version, but I couldn't make the linen pattern look good on them.That means you can't use these with any other hats, crowns or other stuff from the hat category. On the positive side, you can use them with necklaces and bracelets. 😋

You will need the original mesh from Valhallan for these to work in your game.

They are siblings and quite close, because they understand each other. Nevertheless they are both looking for life partners, and they both have the looks, and even the charm, but these two also have "complicated personalities" and oozes trouble. We feel sorry for the poor guy or girl who might find themselves marrying one of them.

The Kingdom of Koiláda Chalkou, also known as Copperdale, is not very large, so their castle is modest, yet beautiful. I think you will find that your Early Civilization sims will enjoy it very much.

Built on the 30x30 lot Golden Peak in Copperdale.

Ground floor: Entrance, kitchen, dining room, reception hall, throne room, WC, King's bedroom, anteroom, bath First floor: Guestroom, Princess' bedroom and bath, reception room. 

Almost every EP is used in this build, and some GPs, SPs and Kits are also used. More details here.

I haven't built something in a loooong while, I've been too busy with writing on my story and some real life stuff. But when this beauty showed up in a party in my Early Civ save I just couldn't resist making a background story and a house.

Both the sims and the house have a lot of cc, but is very playable, and I think they look smashing!

I will release them as soon as they are finished 😊

Do you have the Patch-day blues?

Patch-day blues: Game not working. Mods not working. S4S not working. Discord help unavailable. It sucks.

Cry unstoppable under your blanket -> Does not help and gives you a wet blanket and red eyes

Drink a lots and lots of wine -> Does not help and gives you a headache

Go for a long walk -> Does not help but you might feel refreshed. Or exhausted.

Kick your computer really hard -> Does not help and your toe will probably hurt

Read a Sims story on tumblr -> Does probably not help either, but you will have a nice time, and maybe feel inspired. Which is a good thing for when things are back to normal. (Because it will be. Soon.)

First of all, thank you for wanting to read my story from the beginning! It fills my heart with joy! 💗😌

I did a little checking, and unfortunately you are right. If you use a tablet or mobile, the link-format (tumblr shortner links) I used in chapter 1-5 are problematic. If you use a PC it should be fine, but from tablet the previous and next links will not take you to the correct post.

I will fix it, but it will take me a week or two, since it's a lot of links. If you don't want to wait, you could use the archive to find the correct post, but it's not ideal.

I'm so sorry for this! 😢💗

A new chapter in my little story is now starting - the first of sixteen new posts were published today on my sideblog @kyriat-stories. The story is still centering around the sisters Noor and Eira, set in "Minoan" times. I hope you will like it! 😊💃🌸

- Did you hear him, Noor? "Hope you continue your science career, even though you are now married" and yadda yadda. He is such a hypocrite!

The families had come together to celebrate Mezamura's wedding, and Teteriu had just finished his speech for the bride.

- I'm sure he meant well, Eira. He wants what best for his sister doesn't he? And Aurelio seems like a decent man.

- Yeah, it's nothing wrong with Aurelio, he is fine. But Teteriu just say things he doesn't live by. Pretending to be something he isn't. If he really meant what he is saying, why didn't he let me continue my studies? And this big party... giving them your old house... he is just showing off.

- The party is great though, and we all needed something to celebrate after this terrible summer.

- Oh sweet Astanna, yes! First uncle Itaja, then Telamon, and Nashuja wanting to leave Manthos for good. It sure hasn't been joyful.

- Well uncle's death wasn't that unexpected, he was getting older, and I'm just grateful Nashuja was still here when he passed. But Telamon...?! Did you learn exactly what happened?

- Not really. They just told me he was found dead outside the shelter where he lived. From what I've heard he had stopped drinking, but maybe he had a relapse? Or maybe he was robbed? Or struck by lightning? I don't know. I'm still in a bit of a shock, because deep down I did hope to see him again.

- So how is aunt Simadhne coping? Is she feeling better now?

- Well you know. Since we moved in after uncle's death she's been kind of busy with helping with the children and cooking for us all. But when Nashuja is leaving... I fear she will fall apart. We will all miss him so much. And knowing we will never see him again... It is unbearable!

- And Pamesijos? Will he go with him?

- Not if I can prevent it, Noor whispered. How can I loose them both?

- Really makes you think about the sacrifice they made, doesn't it?

- What do you mean? The war?

- I mean our parents Noor, when they let us both go. We were so young! About Khará's age actually! Can you imagine how it must have been for them?

- Well it was different. They wanted to keep us safe.

- Yes, exactly! Not so different from this situation, when you think about it.

- I've never thought about it that way, but you are right.

- But I'm not sure if I ever could have let Khará go, under any circumstances, so I totally understand your reluctance to let Pamesijos go with Nashuja.

- You will have to let her go some day anyway...

- What?

- I mean, she will move out, get married, have her own household. All of our children will. It is terrible, but true!

- Noor! Do you have to talk about such excruciating future visions? Can't we just enjoy this party and have some fun?

- ♫♫ Ναι, να ζήσουν, ευτυχισμένοι για πάντα! ♫♫

Happy New Year everybody!

Since it's been really long since I posted anything I just wanted to drop a note.

I haven't given up on the Sims yet, but, as it seems, I am on a hiatus. Or should I say that I am on a recoloring/building hiatus? Because I do occasionally open my game to play a little. It just doesn't manifest itself to something shareable.

This winter I've had some stubborn health issues, so my capacity has been low. It's boring and very annoying, and sometimes painful, but at least it's not something really dangerous. Still, I'm struggling to find energy even for real life things, so there is not much left for simming.

I was able to have some tiny bit of progress in my story at least, but even that might be difficult the coming months, if I'm not feeling any better. I hope to be back with recolors and what-not in a few months, but until then; I'm still around, drooling over all the wonderful cc you make, and enjoying your lookbooks and stories. It's very inspiring! 💖

I'm sorry, there is nothing here. I was not able to participate this year.

Why?

As most of you know I've been on a hiatus this autumn, that is, I've been busy with travels and other real life stuff. I still am. Yes, I'm home now, but my home is also filled with other people, needing my attention. So there is less time for simming. And no time for creating and participating for Simblreen.

Some days I get my own bucket filled with treats and goodies, that's all. Or that is the fantastic thing actually. They just share it freely from a good heart to make me and other simmers happy! Send them a thank you note or at least a kind thought. 💗 You are all very special people, and I love you! Happy Simblreen!

CHAPTER 15 - TOWARDS A NEW HOME (part 1)

Late afternoon, Brindleton Bay harbour

In the early evening light, the Countess, together with the Seafret brothers and a lot of luggage, managed in time to get the last available tickets for the Brindleton Bay - San Sequoia route.

Their journey would then continue by train to Chestnut Ridge. The ship looked like a simple transport ship with every comfort and many rooms available!

The ship also had a gourmet restaurant, which the group used during the dinner hour.

It had already been a few weeks since the ship had set sail from Brindleton Bay harbour.

As usual, the group had dined at the restaurant. Reira was unfortunately not very well and decided to go to her room to rest.

After some time, Mimoko went to check if the countess needed help. She went the same way as the woman and indeed found the young woman lying unconscious on the ground.

Mimoko tried to wake her up in vain. Fortunately, a member of the crew was passing by and seeing the old woman in distress, he rescued Reira.
