My favorite thing about threshold day is that people draw some absolute top tier fanart of those lizard babies and they look genuinely adorable like I just want to cuddle them like little kittens you all make them look so cute
I don't know what to tell you, man. None of that should feel like pulling teeth. If you truly dislike reading books, do yourself a favor and find another outlet for creativity that doesn't require it. Ask yourself if you want to be a writer or if you just want to be perceived as the kind of person who writes—if it's the latter, thrift a tweed coat with leather elbow patches and keep vaguely alluding to an unfinished novel.
for threshold day i would like to remind you all that the writers of enterprise looked at the worst voyager episode and decided that that was the one they needed to copy
Threshold Day is ending in my timezone and I just wanted to say that it was such a blast! I became a Voyager fan and started Trek posting in the past year and while I knew that Threshold Day was a Thing, I genuinely didn't think that so many people would earnestly participate. It's a silly fandom thing but it was so great to see so many people's wonderful art and memes. It really did cheer up a dreary winter Monday and I hope everyone carries the warp 10 salamander energy forward!
the whole "cats choose their owners" thing is really funny to me because ivy very much did NOT choose me. she was a slightly dim-witted and very rambunctious feral kitten, and that combination led to her getting herself stuck inside an old chipmunk nest halfway down the steep bank of the creek by my parents' house. from there she proceeded to scream her head off until both my mom and i came out to see what on earth was making all that racket, then we excavated her out of that hole like a sad little potato. she was grateful for the rescue, but definitely NOT grateful for the ensuing flea baths and conversion to indoor cat life at my apartment, which she reminds me of regularly. ivy i'm sorry for saving you from an early death due to predation/disease/cars, but can you stop biting me every day of my life please
