This is it. This is the end. They've fucked things up for the last time, and Cellbit is going to be furious.
Pac clutches his hands to his ears, breathing shallow and quick as he presses himself back against the tree trunk. Panic is seeping into every pore of his body, fingers trembling beyond his control. He screws his eyes shut, begging this to stop, for him to wake up, have this all just be a bad dream, a bad dream—it can't be real. It can't be. Forever's okay, Richas is here, Mike is safe, and Cellbit—
Cellbit isn't angry.
He's mumbling under his breath, now; soft words even he himself doesn't understand. The wood of the tree trunk behind him jabs painfully into his spine, but he doesn't care. It's the only thing keeping him even somewhat sane right now: he can live with a few scrapes.
"Pac?"
That voice again, calling out to him. He shakes his head, pressing his hands tighter over his ears, elbows folding in an effort to hide himself from view. There's a quiet conversation from in front of him—Cellbit's voice is nearer than Antoine's; in fact, it sounds like he's right in front of him—
"Pac."
There's a gentle touch on his arm and Pac jerks upright, throwing his back roughly against the tree trunk once again. Cellbit yanks his arm back, expression equally surprised as he stares back at Pac. A moment of silence passes, the only noise between either of them being Pac's frantic breathing. Then, Cellbit slowly lets his arm down as he crouches nearby.
"Breathe, moço. It's okay."
His voice is calm despite the audible wobbling, hands placating despite the way they tremble. The crouch is purposefully careful; as non-preditorial as possible. So he's guessed the issue. It's not really a surprise. (He always was smarter than them.)
Pac forces himself to look up at the other man, heart thunking against the inside of his rib cage as if it's going to burst out and run away.
There's no malice in his gaze. Only concern, and worry—some directed towards Forever, Pac is sure, but most of it is directed at him. This is...not an easy realization for Pac to come to.
He's not mad.
"We're going to figure this out, okay?" Cellbit continues, eyes still focused on Pac's own. "We're going to get Forever back. And then we're going to find Richas, and Mike, and then we're going to get the hell off of this fucking island." He takes a deep breath, immediately schooling the slight flicker of anger that flashes across his face.
But Pac sees it. He can't help it; at this point, it's almost like a sixth sense he's become aware of—always watching, always alert. Stay on guard. Eyes always open—if he wanted to use the other man's own words against him.
"I'm sorry," he mumbles, shaking his head as he manages to tear his gaze away from Cellbit's. "I'm sorry, Cell. I'm so, so sorry."
"Why are you sorry?" Cellbit's eyebrows furrow together as he scoots a half-step closer. He doesn't reach out a hand, though. Not again. "Pac, this isn't your fault. None of this is any of our faults." There's a small flinch, something that says he doesn't quite believe the words he's saying. "Well...I have no one but myself to blame, for some of it—but you didn't do anything. Okay?"
The words have to roll around in Pac's head for a moment before he can manage a small nod. He glances up to see the other man offering his hands out, trying to help Pac to his feet. There's no trace of anger, no trace of fear. Only despair.
Slowly, hesitantly, Pac accepts.
When they're standing once more, Cellbit carefully lays his hands on either one of Pac's shoulders. It's a position Pac wasn't expecting, and he can't do anything but blink as he stares back at the other man. "We're getting out of this," Cellbit repeats firmly, gaze snapping—not with anger, but with determination. "I promise you."
Pac struggles to swallow, simply nodding in response. Cellbit nods as well, removing his grip. He turns to return to the warpstone, and it's all Pac can do to get his wobbling knees to follow.
He knows Cellbit isn't the same. He knows he's trying so hard to be different, be better. He's heard the other man apologize a hundred times, and accepted them every time—because he's trying, and thats more than Pac can say for some people.
But it doesn't change the way his eyes zero in on Cellbit's clenched fist as they walk back to the waystone. The way his gaze catches on the knife sheath hanging from Cellbit's belt—a fairly new addition to his typical outfit. The way he's prepared for the other man to explode at any minute.
But he doesn't. The calm air carries over as they warp back to the main square, meeting up with Antoine.
"I...I can't do this anymore," Pac murmurs moments later, interrupting Cellbit and Antoine's conversation. Both of them glance over in surprise.
Cellbit reacts first, nodding. He reaches a hand out, setting it on Pac's shoulder. "Get some rest." His voice is so much more gentle than the harsh tone Pac is subconsciously expecting that it's nearly jarring. "I'm going to look around a bit more."
Pac just nods, already reaching for the warpstone at his belt. But something catches his left hand and he glances up to see Cellbit's fingers wrapped tightly around his wrist. Startled, his gaze shoots up to the other man's face, but Cellbit's piercing eyes won't meet his own.
"...be careful out there, Pac." His voice is low, but not dangerous. More...exhausted.
Pac nods, carefully squeezing the other man's fingers in return. "I will," he whispers, removing his hand from the fierce grip in order to rub it across his warp stone.
He collapses into a heap on the floor of Chume Labs the moment he arrives.

King Victor Von Doom & Prince Kristoff of Latveria
Thank you to the wonderful @ecairnsart for my Von Doom Royal Family Portrait! I'm once again in awe of your beautiful talent and art. ID and more below the cut~
[ID: Victor Von Doom sits front and center on an elaborately carved wood throne as the King of Latveria, the back of the throne shows a letter D engraving, and there is a detailed open mouthed lion’s head carved into the visible arm, the other side is covered by Doom’s cape which is draped over it. Doom wears a furred cape fastened by detailed decorative clasps, and a fine sash crosses his tunic. The medals on his chest represent his heritage, one is a symbol of the Roma flag, one is a letter W to represent his mother’s symbol, one is a pentagram to represent magic. Doom’s eyes are locked on the viewer from behind his mask. One arm rests on his knee while his other hand holds a unsheathed medieval inspired longsword by the hilt with its sharp end resting on the ground. 
Two black dogs sit at Victor’s feet, while his son, Kristoff, stands to his right and just behind his throne. Kristoff also wears sashes and medals on his suit that represent his heritage and place as Prince of Latveria. He wears a fine cape with the symbol of Doom visible to the viewer. Unlike Victor who is completely armored and wears a hooded tunic and cape, Kristoff’s hood is drawn down, while his face and hair are visible, he wears gloves rather than metal gauntlets. Kristoff’s armor is minimal and the only visible parts cover his neck, jaw, and the lower part of his head. Kristoff’s eyes are also on the viewer while he stands proudly beside his father. His left hand rests on the pommel of a sheathed renaissance era sword. 
The unmasked version shows Victor’s face, the right side of his face shows a jagged scar that runs from under his eye, down his cheek. /END ID]
Artist Notes:
Doom of course is seated front and center, with the dogs at his side and Kristoff at his right hand. The throne is elaborately carved wood and kept relatively dark so that it doesn't draw the eye away from the main figures of the painting.
The portrait composition is inspired by 18th/19th century aristocratic/royal portraits. 
Doom’s sword, inspired by Maleev’s various paintings of Doom featuring a sword, is a medieval inspired longsword. In contrast Kristoff’s sword is a renaissance era inspired weapon, reflecting Victor as the medieval king and Kristoff as his younger heir. 
Victor’s sword and position upon his throne works well as a kind of powerful element, like most royal portraits, it is intended to project a particular image of Latveria's rulers - specifically one of strength, in a bit of contrast to the early portrait representing Doom as a paternal figure and friend to the children of Latveria as represented by a young Kristoff.
You asked me to use some symbolism relevant to their backgrounds for the medals and such: I used a W - like shape from his mother’s chest of magical items in one of Victor’s medals and also on the top of his throne. A wheel-like design (as on the Roma flag) on a medal to represent his heritage, this design is also present in the medallions and on the chest/shoulders holding Kristoff’s cloak. A pentagram symbol on another medal and on the hilt of Victor’s sword to represent his use of magic.
Both of them are wearing somewhat "fancier" versions of typical outfits that we've seen them in from the comics - I've pulled various elements in, (the sashes and medals from Doom's wedding issue) and from Kristoff's appearance in New Avengers. 
Victor’s scar is designed after Jack Kirby’s unmasked Doom drawing.

This art commission is a companion follow up to a previous Von Doom family portrait art that Ecairnsart created for me, in the older piece Victor and Kristoff have a more whimsical vibe, with Victor reading a book of children’s tales to a young Kristoff while their pet tiger lounges by them.

After Ev presented this piece I knew that I needed an art that showed them in later years, that it needed to be something more somber and austere than the fanciful family portrait of Kristoff’s youth. I wanted to show that years have passed, how the hardships and their personal choices have created a sort of invisible gulf between them but they have a deep bond as adopted family that they can’t ever fully sever. Both are dressed in their best clothing and armor, their portrait shows the image they’ve created for themselves, this is how they present themselves to the world. In contrast to the older portrait there are no colors nor fantastical tiger, instead there are two dogs that give off an almost cerberus vibe, guard dogs instead of a powerful but tamed tiger. Kristoff is waiting just outside of the shadows as Victor’s heir to take his place on the throne of Latveria while Victor sits at the ready to swing his sword in defense of his beloved country and people.
The call back to Victor being the “Lion of Latveria” is in the engraved lion’s head which I thought was another brilliant idea from Ecairnsart. I love how much thought they put into every detail of their work, and how they brought in Victor and Kristoff’s Romani heritage. Ecairnsart also created an unmasked Doom version which I absolutely love as much as the masked version. I love how Victor’s unscarred side is the one he presents to the viewer while the scarred side is hidden a bit more, how he might be uncomfortable being seen unmasked and that perhaps this version of the portrait is one he keeps only in family living spaces in the castle while the other masked version is prominently displayed in the public spaces of the castle. I’ve been a big fan of Ecairnsart’s work for years now and every new piece they create only reminds me how wonderfully talented and dedicated they are to their craft.
I love Victor & Kristoff very much and I’m overjoyed to have another family art of them to cherish.

you unlock a new level of interpretation for Lucilith once you start understanding it as the monsterfucker/lover relationship it is, the human-nonhuman dynamics
Angels have worship built into their bones, cannot prioritize themselves for the life of them, they are not functional if they cannot devote themselves mind and being to another, (reciting prayers is a stim)
Sera and Emily do not seem to enjoy being in charge at all and will invoke some idea of a higher power whenever they have to make a decision, people pleasers first both of them

I'm using Vaggie and Lute as further evidence, even if we arent sure if exorcists are heavenborn or not
I don't think Lilith could handle an equal relationship with another human soul after her experience with Adam, she'd be so hyper avoidant of ever being taken advantage of or side lined but she wouldn't want a partner complicit but resentful or broken into submission
But a creature made for Servitude before anything else, is most fulfilled when submitting to the will of another, just straight up biologically incapable of having underlying personal motivations, now thats something she can trust to share her life and kingdom with, her own personal little angel
he needed a God and She could use a message bearer
The point is Lucifer's head is only clear and quiet when Lilith has him on his knees thanks for coming to my ted talk
