Seems like an Eye name but it's much too soon for that.

I am also curious- oh, I assumed you just talked about it but apparently you're just digging around Martin's mind palace.

I mean, no, yeah, that's fair. Jon doesn't give the vibes of someone who's the most emotionally open.

Jon feels sad everybody, that's totally a new experience. Totally. But seriously, I'm pretty sure this man is the poster child for "I am straight up not having a good time right now" and he doesn't even realize it.

Though I will say, I'm super happy with Martin here. Man's putting up boundaries and expressing frustration when those boundaries are crossed. Season one Martin would have been a doormat even for a Jon like this who actually does care about him.

"Me thinks the spider doth protest too much." That came out way too adorable, given that the joke is about Martin being spidered by Annabelle.

I think one of the things I like most about this episode - apart from the fantastic examination of Gertrude's time as Archivist from a fly on the wall perspective - are the small bits of the Fears that we heard about (like Paul Mckenzie and the Sandman) but also a couple that we didn't...

Like what the hell is The Grinning Wheel? That sounds horrifying! I'm intrigued....

She took Sarah to the woods with a strange book of astronomy and suggested she go and chart the stars. The brave stargazer stayed beneath the canopy, never quite lost herself to the cosmos, though sometimes when Emma looked into her eyes she could still see a reflection of uncanny constellations.

The Vast always has such a banger aesthetic! goddd I am so in LOVE with this part.... I want stars in my eyes too! 😩
