gently slides you two silly scar headcanons..

1) he has vex wings, same as cub, but thinks they're scary-looking so he keeps them folded up. they're pretty thin and only semi-corporeal so he can pull this off with minimal discomfort most of the time

2) he is a very subtle shapeshifter but just. has never noticed ghfsjf. (so things like hair color, body type, face shape, and the appearance of nonhuman traits like his ears + tail change gradually over time. scar is and has always been completely unaware of this) (this is partially an explanation for why i draw him looking completely differently depending on the series but also to account for his many characters + skins. plus it's hilarious)

I'm planning to do some fanart (of fanart, bascially) of the "Epic" musical and -

It's been three days and I have scrapped four different sketches. It went something like:

"Nah, too complicated"

"Too messy"

"What's a composition?"

I feel like I might be a better writer than artist. I never have so many "restarts" when planning out a fic. XD

I finally finished my Trojan horse inspired designs!

These are for a small skyphos I made, with one design being featured on each side of the piece. I wanted the images to match in some way so the left piece is of the acheans burning their camp and “leaving” after dropping off the horse, while the right piece is of the horse before the gates of Troy. To kinda fill space I added the tips of the flames to the second piece, it also helps to connect the two sides.

The flames don’t match up perfectly but if you think about it, technically the camp isn’t present in the images (it would have been in between the two pieces) so it makes sense they may not match up! it’s totally not because I was messing with the flames and didn’t want to worry about them matching up 1:1

Okay, but also the composition of Epic? It’s so good! Like timing the beats of the music in Survive to coincide with the deaths. The musical motif representing Athena showing up, and then the intro and outro to indicate that it’s a mental conversation.

Not to mention that there’s the way that he’s releasing each saga independently. In a culture dominated by binge consumption, it’s really cool to be able to get to listen to each individual saga and sit with it and replay it before moving on to the next one. You can actually take your time, which is great!

Like the musical is just so good and you can tell how much of a passion project it is!! Especially because it started off as one guy as an independent project and how much it’s grown over the past year or two into its own community and how he encourages fans’ involvement and passion. I just really love Epic the Musical, and I think it’s gonna be a must-have on any Greek mythology musical lists!!

i actually think the transitions and the bridge are pretty good it just feels like the actual verses fall flat on their face. and um well the chorus i suppose
