Hay guys! So I’m going under the knife again! My uterus has fibroids and I’m getting them removed this fall. I’m asking for $7k to cover what my insurance wont cover. And also for funds so I can stay afloat after I take 3 weeks off from work. If you like you can also send funds to my [email protected] My Cash App-$SophiaChes My venmo is Sophia-Chester-1 Sharing this post and tagging others is just as important as making a donation. I would greatly appreciate any help.

I started making Spoonie cards for my Etsy store in case anyone wants something to send to their chronic illness buddies!
I only have the original hand painted ones up at the moment but if I get any interest I'll be making some as prints too so they can be more affordable.
Also always open to doing custom ones if you want anything specific like "sorry your neurologist sucks" or "congrats on finally getting a diagnosis" etc.

Period stomach pain is literally the worst pain I've been experiencing in my life. Few days in every month being in constant pain, bloated and bleeding. Endometriosis sucks so much.
I'm so bloated I can feel gas moving in my intestines and I'm farting like crazy. And cramps in my lower stomach make it all so unbelievably painful. And on top of it, it's all gurgling so loud in there. I might have an indigestion because of my stupid period.
Actually my whole body is in so much pain. I hate having v*gina more than anything

Sooo I ended up making the cosplay wishlist into a more general wishlist
It feels kinda weird, but since everything is expensive rn and I’m poor af on my little disability pay and not being able to work half as much as I want to, I kinda just figured…
Why not?
Anyways, just because I add the link to stuff it does not mean I ever expect anything, ever! 💞

11/6/2023:
Hello folks! So on Oct 13, I had my surgery scheduled and done to remove my Fibroids. In total they weighed 10 lbs in which it made sense as to why physically it looked like I was 5-6 months pregnant. I had a Robotic Myomectomy surgery done and I'm just glad I had it and done it when I got the chance to. I'm also glad that my parents and husband were there. At one point they said I lost a lot of blood and needed blood and I had to spend a night at the hospital in which I'm glad my husband stayed with me. I had no strong pain through it all and once I got home, I didn't have to take much prescribed medications at all. Possibly once or twice I took Tylenol and that's when I felt I may have had a fever or very minor pain. I never had to sleep all day or be stuck in bed all day. I decided to sleep in my bed with my husband and not in the living room on the couch.
My job and their absence company was very flexible with me to start on being on a Short Term Disability for a month while already being away. My Dr suggested for me to take that long off of time to heal from all this. Not only did he get rid of the Fibroids, but he said I had a case of Endometriosis as well and took care of that too, during my surgery. I'm grateful for Dr Garza and all that he did for me. I would totally recommend him to anyone who may need to be examined or surgery. I did have to be examined several times by other Drs and an MRI with contrast and ultrasounds in and out. I'm just glad things were able to be located and just transferred in order for me to not go through those experiences again. Some were unpleasant since well I don't like needles. At the end of it all I'm glad I went through it and just getting back to normal and now need to keep an eye out on myself and especially during my periods and monitor any signs of this again.
During my follow up appointment with my Dr I did ask to see if there was any way to prevent both conditions from happening again and sadly he said no. Previously I looked up if there were any diets or any vitamins I can be taking or doing and there was so much conflicting information. There was mention of taking fish oil, reducing red meat, eating more fruits and vegetables, eating grains or just going vegan/vegetarian. The only change I have done so far is just adding krill and omega-3 pills and found one that was combined. I also read that both conditions or at least the Fibroids are due to hormonal imbalance and so I guess I need to determine if mine were about that and currently still happening and a way to control or balance them. I don't know, but I know it will bother me for a good while and if there's a way for me to take care of myself in order for them to not return. I'll just continue to eat healthier and heal more since I know my body is still adjusting from it all and probably in shock from knowing it got more room now ironically. I just know that I'll just need to adjust to it all and see how things will go.

I finally got prints of my first three Spoonie Care Cards! I'm hoping to make this a whole series so we can all get cute mail without being told to un-chronic out chronic illnesses, but first have to trick the Etsy algorithm into actually showing them to someone 🙃

Yea uh trigger warning talking about meds
So I made a stupid decision, there these meds that didn't work cuz they gave me mild serotonin syndrome. while taking the meds I couldn't stop thinking that I'd take the pain over it any day, but now I'm off them all I can think about is that it didn't hurt.
Now I've got fibromyalgia, endomitosis and having a period for the first time in over a year, eczema flared ups all over my body that make it impossible to sleep and yea I caved and took one cuz I hadn't gotten rid of them yet. Best case scenario: I get cores done tomorrow, worst case: time will stop existing and I will cry
Wish me luck I guess lol

i dont think its fair to assume that i might have endomitosis just because i bleed 20 days a month..maybe vampires are real..maybe god wants me to meet the vampires that are real and smelling like blood 20 days a month increases my odds.. did you ever think about that?

Endomitosis in Drosophila Virilis
Endomitosis in Drosophila Virilis
Background & Purpose Endomitosis is a variant of the cell cycle that leads to the production of up to a thousand copies of the genome. During this process, the cell does not divide but the chromosomes increase in size as the number of copies of genes increases. The purpose of this lab was to investigate endomitosis in the salivary glands of Drosophila virilis larvae. It was hypothesized that…
