Eye For An Eye - Prologue
A Royal Flower and a Bloody Bee
“Madam Lilac.” An old woman walked into her office, using a cane as aid with a slight tremble in her walk. She bowed her head as she moved over to the chair on the opposite side of the desk the woman she addressed was currently sitting at.
“Miss Terian, it’s nice to see you. Do you bear good news, or bad?” Lilac’s mouth rested in its natural state, as it always did. She was always a woman of mystery, a purple veil covering the majority of her face, stopping at just under the nose. She leaned forward to hear the news.
As the frail woman sat down, she caught her breath for a moment before speaking, “Well, as good as can be in this situation. The final piece has entered the game. It will be a while before she can be played, and the chance of failure isn’t slim, but it’s our only hope I’m afraid.” She clutched her cane between her legs, rubbing its hilt in anxiety.
“I’m aware. However, I am willing to sacrifice whatever I need to in order to stop him. If this doesn’t stop him, then our fate may be sealed, but we mustn’t give up until all is lost.” Lilac’s lips pursed as she stood up from her desk, grabbing her umbrella, and walked around to her guest. “Let’s hope the red rain doesn’t befall us today.”
“Let us hope indeed.”
-------------------------
The rain poured outside as a small child ran through the streets of the slums, a bat in her hand with a few droplets of blood on the business end. Her clothes were also splattered with the red metallic substance. She panted heavily as she ran, her shoes heavily torn and what little clothing she had on her hardly helping her withstand the rain.
“Left, right, right… LEFT!” She yelled out, making the last turn she needed to. She didn’t know why this was all happening, why it fell to her, why she had to…
She didn’t want to finish that thought.
She ran for a tad bit more, before nearly skidding to a stop in front of a fairly nondescript, grey metal door. On it was a few words, hard to make out through the tears and rain filling her eyes, but the symbol on the side of the door convinced her it was the right place.
Tumblr media
She knocked aggressively on the door, finally shivering from the cold as she no longer had the warmth of her movements. She was jumpy, moving around agitatedly for a few moments for the opened a crack, and a moment later the full way, a comparatively tall man ushering her inside, and she entered without a second thought.
“So, you’re the one huh.” The man said from behind her.
She jumped as he closed the door, and she turned around to see him properly. He was tall, brown hair swooping over one eye and the other covered in a visor. She tried to take a step back, but upon finally being in a warm environment, realized how exhausted she was. Her feet were glued to the floor, and her hands involuntarily relaxed, her whole body slumping as her bat clanged to the floor.
“You must be exhausted. Here, I’ll take you to the bath, you can soak in there for a while, and when you get out, I’ll have some spare clothes for you.” The man proceeds to lift her up, and slings her over his shoulder, and walks her over to the bathroom, “Say, what’s your name? Considering how long you’ll likely be here, we might as well get to know each other. Mine’s Maybelline, but you can just call me May, k?”
The child struggled a bit before spitting out, “L-lil-ly,” still shivering from the rain.
“Lily, huh? Good luck then, Lily. You’ll certainly need it.

Multi-POV flashback story idea showed up out of nowhere tonight. 690 words of a first section. Let’s see if this goes anywhere.
A sample:
If the Queen Dowager had opened her arms again and held her daughter close and stroked her hair and assured her that she had done the right thing, the morning would have ended very differently. But she did not.

I read this European comic-biography of Degas and now I'm head over heels in love with the artist's art

Cân i Gymru 2024
It has just occurred to me that I can actually recreate Cân i Gymru for you all through the power of the Internet and Tumblr and such like. Given that Eurovision is out this year, please enjoy the Eurovision of my people.
The artists are much less important to us than the songwriters. Sometimes those are the same people, but sometimes not. The winners of this contest are the songwriters, though, the artists are just a necessary evil.
So! The entries!
youtube
First up! Heno, meaning 'tonight'. The songwriters wanted to write something that would make everyone want to dance :). The artists are therefore a sexy Eurovision-style singer who hits notes I previously have only heard autotuned in Crypt of the Necrodancer, and a funky DJ man. This is the most Eurovision-y song, probably.
youtube
Yr Un Fath (The Same Thing), by Jacob Howells! He wrote this one himself. Lovely lad, from Llanelli. A gentle ballad.
youtube
Again, singing their own song! These are the songwriters! Exciting. This is Cymru yn y Cymylau (Wales in the Clouds), which is a very nice song about how no matter where they go in the world, they see Wales - and by extension their Welshness - in the clouds, staying with them. A route back home.
youtube
Mêl (Honey). Same again, they wrote their own song. This is a song about late stage capitalism and the environment and having hope for the future told through the metaphor of bees. Slight funk/soul vibe. The stage backdrop was increasingly filled with clipart bees.
youtube
Cysgod Coed (The trees' shadow). A ballad about lost love and broken promises. The songwriter is teenage girl Efa Rowlands, the singer is classmate Gwion Phillips.
youtube
This one felt the most like a Swedish Eurovision entry. The singer is half of Welsh band Lofi Jones, but no one even mentioned that, because he didn't write the song, so it's not about him. The song Pethau Yn Newid (Things Are Changing) instead is about how life is moving too fast and we should appreciate the time we have more, because he's aging and everything is changing and he can't keep up. They probably should have gotten someone older to sing it.
youtube
Absolute vocal powerhouse ballad, Ti (You) is part-written and all-performed by music teacher Sara Davies. The lyrics were a love letter her grandfather wrote to her grandmother before he died; Sara then wrote the music for it. The background photos are her grandparents. Her grandmother was actually in the live audience on the night.
youtube
And the last one! Goleuni (Lights) is by a pair of songwriters (one music teacher and one West End star) who wanted to write a song of hope for the dark times, because the world is shit but Still We Persist. They're both talented and established songwriters. The performer is a seventeen year old schoolgirl in the class of one of the songwriters.
~~~~
So!
Anyway I disagreed with the first second and third placings of the Welsh public so hmu Tumblrs who are we choosing
Hello! I hope you are well, I have some questions:
1- I know I've already asked this question and I think it's the third time I've asked it, but how would Hillarson's unit react if they found out that the red leader is in love with Tom? Would them suppose that would be the reason Hillarson cares so much about Tom?
2- If R!Tom were a cannibal, would R!Tord still love him?
3- What do Paul and Patryck think about their leader wanting to make Tom his own?
4- (It's a stupid question) What does R!Tord think of Tomme bear?
5- The entire Norwegian EFA unit is dead?
6- Are all sentinels programmed to kill soldiers? If so, do civilians also count? What if a sentinel came across a child, would he kill him?
7- What were Hillarson's unit's thoughts on having an EFA soldier join their unit? What were their thoughts after Tom attacked Finnigan?
8- R!Tom has depression?
9- Regarding the question you answered about their heights, are all your AU's the same height?
10- If R!Tom told R!Tord that he was bored, what would R!Tord do?
Thanks for writing such an amazing fanfic like regimen! I told my friend about the fic and now every night we start reading regimen and go through chapter 8.
When he read about Morales' death it affected him so much that he dreamed about him, I remember he told me, Hey, I dreamed about Morales 😭
Oh! He is drawing a regimen drawing for you! He hopes you like it, he hasn't finished it, but he's very happy to finish it, well this is getting too long and I don't want to waste your time.
Have a good day and take care of yourself! ^^
Hello! Hahaha I hope you're doing well too <3 Answers below the line
1- Notable people like Morales, Finnigand, Baxter, Corporal and Hilarson himself might feel disgusted for Tom as well as flabbergasted that that was the reason why RA was hunting him down. People who may not know Tom well might be sorry for him, and those who left the unit earlier on might even push for Hilarson to give Tom up faster.
2- Odd question but yeah, R!Tord would still "love" him 3- They think its weird but don't mind it much, its none of their business and it isnt the first time they went with the whims of their leader.
4- It's cute. He thinks its precious that Tom still has it.
5- :)
6- Sentinels are generally programmed to kill soldiers only. Civilians are usually avoided, but if a fight happens in a residential area some casualties may occur, but as their A.I. develops that happens less. So no, children aren't among the body count, usually.
7- The unit was....very hesitant. I wrote about it a bit in Regiminis but EFA soldiers have a bad reputation in the army, mostly because it's an accepted fact- though not readily admitted- that EFA soldiers aren't meant to survive their station. After the attack on Finnigand, they became wary of Tom and his reactions.
8- Yup.
9- More or less yeah! I might change it around a bit but they often stay around the heights I assigned.
10- :)
OOO IM EXCITED FOR THE DRAWING!! THANK YOU FOR LOVING MY FIC SERIOUSLY <3 Take care of yourself too!
Types of Editing Services
With the launch of my freelance editing business, Gentle Sea Editing, tomorrow (1 June 2023), I thought it would be a good idea to discuss the different types of editing.
Some of these services are only applicable to creative writing works, but services like copy-editing and proofreading are relevant for any piece of writing.
1. Developmental Editing
A developmental edit evaluates the big picture and addresses issues at story level.
It looks at things like plot structure, character development, pacing, chapter and scene structure, descriptions, adherence to genre expectations, clichés, and overused tropes.
Usually, this type of editing service won’t take the form of actual changes to the manuscript. Rather, it comprises an editorial report addressing the strengths, weaknesses and issues of the work, as well as suggestions. There may also be some margin comments if necessary or if that is the specific editor’s style.
According to the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), the average rate for developmental editing is between $0.03 and $0.039 per word. That means that the developmental edit of a 90 000 word book would cost between $2700 and $3510.
I offer developmental editing services at $0.017 per word. So, the developmental edit of a 90 000 word book would cost $1530.
2. Line Editing
A line edit addresses writing style and craft on a line-by-line level.
It looks at things like voice, language use, word choice, tense, point of view, clarity and readability, filtering, filler words, show vs tell, pacing, and flow.
Usually, this type of edit takes the form of comments in the margin of the manuscript. Because this service involves stylistic changes, most editors won’t just amend the text; they’ll add a comment highlighting an issue and providing suggestions.
According to the EFA, the average rate for line editing is between $0.04 and $0.049 per word. That means that the line edit for a 90 000 word book would cost between $3600 and $4410.
I offer line editing services at $0.025 per word. So, the line edit of a 90 000 word book would cost $2250.
3. Copy-editing
A copy edit focuses on technical errors at word and sentence level.
It looks at things like spelling, punctuation, syntax, grammar, usage, paragraph structure, repeated words, typos, and style inconsistencies.
Usually, this type of edit involves the editor making actual changes to the manuscript and adding comments where necessary. Additionally, most editors will keep a style sheet as they work in order to maintain consistency. I give clients this style sheet along with the edited manuscript. If your editor doesn’t automatically do this, ask them for it. It’ll help you to keep your grammar and usage consistent if you make any subsequent changes, and it will help your proofreader.
According to the EFA, the average rate for copy-editing is between $0.02 and $0.029. That means that the copy edit of a 90 000 word book would cost between $1800 and $2610.
I offer copy-editing services at $0.02 per word. So, the copy edit of a 90 000 word book would cost $1800.
4. Proofreading
A proofread is the final review of a project. It focuses on proper formatting, layout and catching any errors not corrected during the copy edit.
It looks at things like punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, word use consistency, headers, chapter styles, scene breaks, paragraph styles, formatting, typos, repeated words and page layout.
Because the changes are mechanical, the proofreader will usually make them to the manuscript itself without adding comments. However, I would recommend that the proofreader still use Track Changes, so the author can make the final decision on the changes.
According to the EFA, the average rate for proofreading is between $0.02 and $0.029 per word. That means that the proofread of a 90 000 word book would cost between $1800 and $2610.
I offer proofreading services at $0.01 per word. So, the proofread of a 90 000 word book would cost $900.
Let’s face it: Editing is expensive
Each freelance editor decides their own rates, usually with reference to their experience and qualifications. So, you can get editing at cheaper-than-average prices; just make sure that the editor is still adequately qualified and good at their job.
Additionally, most editors offer combos, which allow you to get two or more types of editing at the same time, usually at reduced cost.
I offer a developmental, line and copy edit combo for $0.05 per word, which is 20% cheaper than the individual services combined. (That’s $4500 for 90 000 words.)
I also offer a developmental and line edit combo for $0.036 per word, which is 15% cheaper than the individual services combined. (That’s $3240 for 90 000 words.)
Finally, I offer a line and copy edit combo for $0.038 per word, which is 15% cheaper than the individual services combined. (That’s $3420 for 90 000 words.)
I firmly believe that the same person should not edit and proofread the same manuscript.
Which edits do I need?
Unless you are traditionally published, the editing services you choose is up to you.
If you are publishing a piece of writing, especially commercially, you need at least one type of edit. Trust me, your product won’t be up to scratch if you are the only person who’s looked at it.
I would not recommend skipping the copy edit and proofread.
However, you might decide not to have your work edited developmentally if you have been crafting stories for a long time, and have enlisted critique partners and beta readers.
How do I choose an editor?
If you are having a novel edited, look out for someone with some sort of fiction/creative writing experience. It’s preferable to have an editor who knows something about storytelling and plot structure, especially for a developmental edit.
Try to get an editor who has obtained a qualification in editing itself, not just in the English language or creative writing. Editing is a whole different ball game and it requires specialized training.
Ask for testimonials if you don’t find them on the editor’s website.
Look at the person’s website and any communication you exchange with them. Are there errors and inconsistencies? Decide whether this is someone you would trust with your writing.
Editors should offer a free sample edit. This allows you to submit a small extract for editing in order to assess the editor’s competence and style. You should never have to pay for a sample edit!
If you would like to use Gentle Sea Editing, you can request a quote and a sample edit now.
i saw a post that you reblogged with a comment wherein you referenced working as an editor. i'm a college student looking to go into fiction editing, and i was wondering if you had any tips or suggestions?
I've written a few different posts about this in my "on editing" tag, but most of them are a bit old.
My path to editing wasn't a straight line. I have a BFA in theatre, film, and creative writing, and I took a lot of English courses. I've always been a voracious reader. I've been a writer since before I can remember. I basically started editing when friends came to me and said, "You're good at words. Can you help me with my words?"
I was also lucky enough to fall in with a group of excellent writers/betas/critiquers/editors when I was fandom baby back in ye olde X-Files days. I learned SO much from them. And most of what I learned, I learned either from being critiqued or from critiquing others. I cannot stress how much being an active member of fandom has helped me become the editor I am today.
Suggestions:
Get editing-specific training. You don't know what you don't know--and there's a surprising amount of stuff people don't know, even if they've studied English or writing. There are quite a few certificate programs out there now, but you don't need one of them to get work. You do need to prove that you know what you're doing, though. Usually by being able to pass editing tests or by providing excellent sample edits.
Read, read, read, READ. If you know you want to work with specific genres, read as much from within that genre as you can. Read books on craft, too, whether they're intended for writers or editors.
Find your people. There are some great Facebook groups for editors. There are also major editing associations where you can meet people, network, find possible job leads, etc. I, for example, am a member of Editors Canada and a Professional Member of the CIEP (UK). ACES and the EFA are a couple of major American associations. Australia's is the IPEd. You don't have to be from those countries to join their associations--but you'll probably find that the local ones have the most relevant content.
You DO need to find ways to hone your skills. If you don't want to do a whole editing certificate, you'll want to find courses or professional development related to the work you want to do.
Fiction editing (all editing, really) breaks down into different types of editing. You might like doing all aspects of this. You might find you only like SOME aspects of this. Generally, those types of editing are:
Developmental (sometimes called structural or substantive) editing: This is big picture editing. Are there plot holes? Do the character arcs make sense? Do scenes have a purpose? (Personally, this is my favorite type of editing. I just love getting into the guts of a story.) I do full developmental edits, but I also offer manuscript critiques (developmental editing lite; usually cheaper, but still very helpful for getting to the bottom of big picture issues).
Line/stylistic editing: This type of editing is often about the style and language at the sentence and paragraph level. It tends to be quite meaty. A line editor will offer suggestions for reducing redundancy or repetition, clarifying meaning, polishing dialogue, etc.
Copy editing: Sometimes copy editing and line editing get rolled up together, but if someone hires you JUST to copy edit, it means you're looking at the mechanical issues with grammar, punctuation, etc.
Proofreading: Literally reading the proofs before they go to print. The proofreader's eyes are the last ones on the document. These are the folks looking for the misplaced comma or the wrong page number. Have a crazy eye for detail? This may be your jam.
The various Englishes of the world have major differences. If you want to edit US, UK, Canadian, or other assorted varietals of the language, you have to know those differences--and they're more than just spelling and punctuation.
There's no one style guide for fiction. Publishers often have their own. That said, most of THOSE are based either on the Chicago Manual of Style (US/Canada) or the New Oxford Style Manual/New Hart's Rules (UK).
You also have to figure out if you want to pursue an in-house position or work freelance. Real talk: publishers outsource a ton of copy editing and proofreading to freelancers; some publishers even outsource the other styles of editing. Often, acquisitions editors at publishing houses (the editors who champion a work and try to get their publisher to buy it) do some of the developmental and line editing work.
I don't work in-house, so I can't give you a ton of info on how to break into the side of things. As I understand it, you usually have to be located in one of the big publishing centers (New York, London, Toronto, etc.). And you usually work your way in from the bottom up.
I've done all kinds of editing over the years. Nowadays, I mostly work in fiction, and I mostly work with independent authors or authors who are trying to polish their work before sending it out to agents. While it's true that a publishing house will edit your book (and foot the bill for it), the market is hard right now--especially for first-time authors. Publishers are less willing to take big risks or pour a lot of money into books if they're uncertain of a return on that investment. So, even if you're hoping to go the route of traditional publishing, it's in your best interests to get that first manuscript in the best shape before sending it out.
...this is already getting long! One of these days, I'm going to offer some training of my own, I think. Hopefully!
I’d imagine that Guts and Griffith would have pretty interesting yet still extremely loving relationships with the non-biological kids. What would they be like?
For Griffith: Jan (Yan) is like a mini Guts. He sees so much of his husband in him. The white hawk constantly finds himself wondering if Guts was like their son or had similar habits to Jan when he was young. Like Jan's aptitude for climbing anything that looks even a little climb-able. Trees, stables, walls, storage sheds, the palisades' turrets. Anything. No matter how high or dangerous. The boy is very adventurous and tough. He might be quiet, but he is never one to back down from a challenge and his disregard for safety coupled with his interest in sword play reminds Griffith of Guts to a T. Knowing that his husband grew up without the guidance or love of a father figure, Griffith would try to be that figure for Jan (alongside Guts of course). He wants to teach Jan to be strong, sharp, and methodical with a firm but kind hand- something his husband had not gotten as a child. So while Jan frequently prefers to spar with Guts because of their similar temperaments/styles, the boy is still endlessly enamored by his long haired father's eloquent fighting style whenever he steps in to teach him new forms. Jan considers it the challenge of a lifetime to try and keep up with Griffith's moves. Their bond centers much around their time practicing sword play, only because Jan has a passion for it and very little patience with academics in contrast to Efa. He is a wild-child and Griffith loves his unpredictable nature, even if he has to try and rein it in every now and then for his own safety. He will let the boy have his freedom, so long as it isn't too far from his arms. Rather it be fencing or walks together through the gardens, Griffith savors his bond with his son (even if he has to unceremoniously climb up walls after him to bring him back to the safety the ground)
For Guts: Efa is his precious, precocious daughter. No harm must come to her. He doesn't tend to put a ton of importance on blood relation for his part- although his mind is still blown that he ever ended up passing on his blood at all. The fact that he took part in making a human is not lost on him. But even if he didn't father Efa himself, she is just as much his child as Jan is. For Guts, he's still just baffled that any kid wants to hang around a him, much less kids of his own. Having only ever swung a sword with his arms, swinging a giggling daughter around still melts his heart at the utter surprise of it. She's his perfect little girl. So much like her mother and yet still so much like Griffith, too. It reminds him that despite the odds against him, he'd found happiness with the people he loved. After the miserable start in life that he'd had and losing or nearly losing the things that meant the most to him, he isn't about to pass up a moment with his children. She will sit quietly with him while he does reps with his weighted sword, and when he can pull her away from her dolls or books to play fight a little bit with him, he is always bemused by the very Casca-like fire that sparks whenever she feels like he is showing her up. With Casca's temper and Griffith's death glare, he knows that she'll make a formidable fighter someday. Their bond is relaxed and close. Even if she spends a lot of her quiet time with Griffith or Casca, Guts will always be the wolf that dutifully guards her.
Thank you for this ask, I hope you enjoyed the answer, love ♡ As always, my AU is forever developing as i draw and write for it (and mind you i am in no way a good writer especially with world building) So i am always open to thoughts/theories that you might have about this setting 🥰 My apologies for the wall of text haha 😇🙏
The prison is the frontline war in a society that seeks to censor and control people and ideas. The current wave of censorship in schools and public libraries is an extension of the more highly advanced structures of control that have and are being developed in prisons and jails. The prison has always been a testing ground for perfecting surveillance and creating unfreedom.
Return to Sender is an exhibition that maintains that the prison itself is censorship, which is multifaceted and complex. Therefore, the only way to end prison censorship is to end prisons. This is a call for prison industrial complex (PIC) abolition.
The exhibition features writing and art by incarcerated creators that examine how prisons enact censorship and limit free expression for incarcerated authors, readers and artists.
Welcome to Return to Sender, we look forward to your visit.
Tell me about this thing you want to write? Pretty please? Cherries on top?
Oh man there are a million different things I wanna write
The main two are New Powers (formerly titled Aqua, and which I actually did write a few chapters of before realizing that what I was writing wasn’t consistent with what I wanted and decided to retcon it and rewrite it)(still haven’t rewritten it)
And the other is EFAE, or Eye for an Eye
Both I do have overarching plots and a buncha characters, so take your pick and I’d be more than happy to share
⚠️ Mention of Adultery ⚠️ Prince Consort Garrett finds out that his husband is having an affair with the Queen of Windenburg.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Prince Consort Garrett (G): Hey...is everything good? I barely see you at home. Prince Cardan (C): Yes, everything is good. Just a lot of meetngs, a lot of receptions. Nothing to worry about. G: Good becuse I wanted to ask where have you been during Einar’s birthday party? C: I was there, you saw me. G: Yes I did, but at some point you vanished.
Tumblr media
C: You know how I am with large crowds. I had to move away and take a breather. I didn‘t want to ruin Einar’s birhtday by being a grump. G: Hmm makes sense. Still, also what’s up with the cryptic messages you sent to my niece? C: You are going through my phone? G: No..I just saw the message that came from her.
Tumblr media
C: Ah this...it is for Efa, her granddaughter, she is going to be six soon and we want to surprise her with something. G: Really? Does this involve condoms? C: [looks at him] Oh..ehm..not really. [to himself] Shit why did she write that I told her not to be too direct. G: Cardan...
Tumblr media
G: Since when... C: ...after Helga came home again. G: That is almost four months. Why? And..you had sex with her while our son had his birthday right? C: [looks at him and nods] G:....still why? C: It just... G: It did not just happen, an affair of four months doesn’t just happen.
What is the Philippines' policy on education?
The Philippines MBBS fees ranges from 2.5 Lakhs to 25 Lakhs per year. Whereas the cost of living is approximately around Rs. 10,000 - 15,000 per month.
The Philippines' most recent educational policy has put a strong emphasis on increasing access to all educational levels. Despite initial doubts from President Rodrigo Duterte over the readiness of the Philippines' teachers, schools, and administration to undertake the change, the K-12 reforms of 2011–2016 were effectively implemented.
K-12 expands on the reforms started by Benigno Aquino III, the predecessor of Duterte, whose "10-point plan" aimed to increase the number of schools, broaden the range of available vocational programmes, and enhance science education in the Philippines.
In addition to K–12, the government introduced the Education for All (EFA) initiative in 2015 with the goal of ensuring that all Filipinos acquire what the UNESCO refers to as "functional literacy": the capacity to read, write, and perform simple math. EFA focuses on delivering education to adults and children who are not already enrolled in school as well as on eradicating school dropouts to reduce inequity in the Philippine educational system.
A boost in funding
After years of underinvestment, a significant boost in finance has made the most recent reforms possible. According to the World Bank, between 2010 and 2015, government investment in the Philippines increased by 60% in real terms, which made it possible to hire more teachers and lower the student-to-teacher ratio.
Despite this, the Philippines continues to invest significantly less in education as a percentage of GDP than many other comparable and neighbouring nations, spending only 3.5% in 2017. Comparatively, the GDP allocated to education in Vietnam and South Korea is roughly 5%.
Education for all in the Philippines
The Philippine government has worked to develop a more egalitarian educational system in recent years. Concerned that the extremely specialised instruction occurring in private Muslim schools was "making kids into virtual foreigners in their own country," DepEd issued an order in 2004 calling for an uniform curriculum at Muslim schools, the bulk of which are concentrated in Mindanao.
DepEd did agree, though, that "Arabic language and Islamic principles are not taught in public schools, leaving Muslims unaware of their religion." As a result, Arabic Language and Islamic Values (ALIVE) is now part of the basic curriculum in Muslim schools.
last thoughts
Since pre-colonial times, education in the Philippines has advanced significantly. Although the quality of education is great, young students who want to graduate can always benefit from learning more. You can supplement your formal education and improve your employability when you're ready to enter the workforce with the courses we've linked to throughout this post.
