fine morning F59 ½° at 8 35 and went downstairs to a Mr. Greenwood from H-x who brought a plan for the water wheel – breakfast with A- (and Mr. Gray came at 9) at 8 50 in about ¾ hour – then looking to see what sum of Lords rent A- owns to Lady William Gordon (vid. 30 August) and calculating for her she leaving the money £4.16.11 for SW. this morning to pay Mr. Lister the auctioneer who collects these rents - off in the yellow carriage to Thorpe at 10 – took A- to Nicholsons’ shop, and staid with her there from 10 ¼ to 10 50, and then set her down (to walk to Cliff Hill) at the far end of the northbridge at 10 55 and drove off to the White Lion for a ticket for the King x bar – off from the White lion at 11 and met Mr. J. Priestley on the road (he going into Norland) at 11 ½ and took him back in the carriage to his own house and alighted there about 11 ¾ and came way at 1 35 – both the brothers J and Walker P- the former brought his plan of his estimate and the greater intelligence of the latter much aided our conversation – said I had come over to tell JP. he could do me a service and himself too – Explained – he seemed to know very little about coal – JP. said he must take advice and consider about it – yes! certainly – a matter of consideration to all parties but I should be glad of a determination as soon as possible as I should set about goit or steam engine as soon as I could – I was not fast – there were 2 sides of the brook, either would suit me – but I had preferred applying to P- first – I thought the drain or goit would be a benefit to him and on the other were the Mcaulays with whom I knew Mr. Stocks would have influence – P- wished to consult a disinterested person – I said no coal-person would be so – I mentioned Kitchingman Childe – and Matthew Naylor as valuing tenants damages for me, I thought £6 per DW. – and Mr. Cooke of Elland called in to value coal damages for me, and Illingworth Miss Walkers’ coal tenant, Mr. Rawsons’ great man and very clever, but he certainly would not be disinterested – I said they would tell him (JP.) that the privilege was worth thousands to me – of that I left him to judge for himself merely observing that if he thought so, I should give the thing up – I did not even offer him more than damages, because I thought the benefit, to him and the expense to me sufficiently great – it could not be done for less than 10/. per running yard – might be – probably would be a 2 thousand pounds job – might be (but SW.’s survey would shew) from 2 to 3 thousand yards long – WP. measured the plan from which, direct across from about the low end of waste-wood to the head of Walterclough mill new goit, seemed = 1100 yards explain the benefit of the goit to JP. his upper bed 60 or 70 yards deep at Dumb mill bridge and 51 yards at Walkerclough mill (vid. near the bottom of last page) – my goit would begin at about 40 or 42 yards below the surface; and if ever his coal was wanted would save him 30 or 40 yards of pumping he wished I would loose his coal – I said it was not in my power to do what except perhaps about the upper 1/3 of it – never thought of working my own coal but gently explained how forced into it – the communication between R. and me underground pretty near – mentioned the assa-faetida for the 10 acres sold I had only a price between the 2 prices sold at by my uncle and it was odd that

that such objection was made to my sending anyone into R-‘s pits – it was suspicious – I should have no objection to anyone going into my pits – if anything was wrong, I should be glad to be informed of it; if not, what need of mystery – the law of no use – must give a fortnights’ notice of a chancery injunction, and that time enough for stopping all up so that nothing could be found out – But now I was pretty much at ease – it was now discovered that R- could not get the bit of coal I had wished to buy – for which R- bade 1 hundred and got me up to 5 hundred when I said he might have it – but they could not make a title to it – I believed also that he could not get Walker P-‘s coal – H- had offered a good price and was not likely to offer as much again WP. knew of the throw that had been found but said H- had been at great expense and must have some coal to pay for it – I quietly said yes! but he had a large quantity already and now that nobody could get WP.’s but H-, it made a great difference – if I did not let my colliery and perhaps I should not H- was naturally my agent for it; and the colliery would in case be almost as good as his won, so that he would be in no want of coal – said I should be glad to see but the Messrs. P- at Shibden hall – nothing wanted but a table large enough; and they would learn from my plans in 2 minutes more than their own plans or mere talk could shew them in 2 hours – said I should be glad to avoid the smoke of an engine, but if obliged to have it, I should easily get over it – the chimney would be carried up into the hill and Mr. Harper thought the nuisance would be very small – I could a 14 horse English for £420 (vid. line 12 of yesterday) and the whole outlay engine house road and everything would not exceed £1000 nor would the daily expense exceed 10/. (including coal fireman and wear and tear) – at all rates the annual expense would not exceed £200; and then I should do my coal work and benefit nobody – Mr. JP. might think of this when they told him the privilege was worth thousands to me and then judge for himself be it remembered I am not fast – if I was I must come into P-‘s terms yes! said P- ‘and you we all make what we can’ (How nicely characteristic!) he thought we should want some written document – yes! certainly said I – for my sake quite as much as yours – but that will be left to our attorneys – or I will shew you a rough draft of agreement for your perusal - I will shew you the old grant from Mrs. Firth to my grandfather – But we are both of us people who will come to the business without any wish to take any advantage one either side – oh! yes! to be sure, said JP- that their confidence in me may [?] with the length of the proposed goit je n’en sais rien – I doubt it – but SW. is to take the levels and I am to let JP. know the result and he will consider about and take advice and come over – In fear and trembling lest my goit and I should be too deep for him? I had told him his coal was not worth more than £10 an acre now – it could not got in one time – say 56 years how often would ten pounds double itself in that time? – Holt said I had coal enough of my own to last twenty colliers getting 150 years – Walker P- said my coal might not be so valuable for coal had been discovered in Soyland – a seam 9in. thick – in 1834 – some Lancashire colliers had come over but the property here was so divided nothing could be done – they thought it might be the Dule (Lancashire Dule or some such name) bed – WP. gave me a copy of the strata bored thro’ at Soyland mill (near Thorpe) in 1834 as follows

Had just written all the above of today in an hour at 4 ¼ - Miss Priestley with us the whole time – changed my dress before sitting down to my journal how will the matter end? shall I get the privilege or not? – then wrote as follows to ‘Mr. Samuel Washington, Crownest’ – ‘Shibden hall. Tuesday 3 October 1837 – Sir – I shall be obliged to you to let me know the earliest day you can take the levels of the brook, from the gapstead in the bit of wall between the Bunker hill and Parkfield in Lower Place land, going along Mr. John Priestley’s land down to the lowest extremity of my Southolm land – I am sir, etc. etc. etc. A. Lister’ – JP. particularly inquired what n° of vent pits I should require I said I could not exactly tell – something would depend upon himself air might be carried in pipes 200 or 300 yards and the drain would be so deep I should make as few vent pits as possible unless he gave me to leave to make as many as I liked and I found them cheaper than pipes – at any rate I should want the privilege of a place to bury the scale in – thought about 1 ½ yard cube per running yard would come out – but all should be buried so as to leave no nuisance – not a bit of scale to be seen – I should do it as I had done that in my own land – JP. had best come and see – But I thought I could manage very well with 6 vent pits in JP-‘s land supposing the length 1100 yards went downstairs at 4 ¾ - George gone for A- ¼ hour ago – out, about a little while then at 5 5 off to Mitham to send my note by little John – he went to Mr. George Robinson’s on Monday (yesterday) to work in the land and eat at home – walked forwards meaning to go to Crownest – met A- not far from on this side of Hipperholme lane ends – sent George back with the note and returned with A- and back at 6 – then out with Robert Mann seeing about road for the platform carts till 6 40 then ¼ hour with A- dressed – dinner at 7 10 – asleep – coffee –read the newspaper – came upstairs 5 minutes after A- at 10 pm at which hour F61° - fine till about noon – then a couple of hours rain or more afterwards tolerably fair – but damp warm disagreeable afternoon and evening – raining fast about 10 1/2 pm

96. Actor/actress you’d like to see play a companion?

I don't really think about fancasting much, I have to be honest, so...hmm. I don't know. I think there are lots of actors I'd like to see on DW, and lots more who could do a good job that I've never seen! But it's hard to call any to mind right now. :P

I'm gonna say maybe Anna Torv, (relatively) off the top of my head? If she could be persuaded to take a job outside of Australia, anyway. Because A) she's an incredible actress, B) she's relatively obscure I think, since I've only seen her in Fringe, and C) it would be fun to have another Australian companion.

98. Which characters fate would you changed?

I mean, there are plenty that I have mental fix-its for! Ones whose fates I don't like, but am comfortable adjusting in their post-canon phases: Zoe and Jamie (though EU has kind of done that for Jamie already); Peri (Eu's done THIS five or six times but I've never been satisfied :P ); Metacrisis Doctor; Donna; and maybe Amy and Rory (I'm okay that they ended up together but unhappy that they got uprooted from their lives).

Exits I would flat-out write differently: Maaaaybe Jo's? I'm glad she's happy with her guy, but I wasn't convinced he was good enough for her. Definitely Leela's--I know Big Finish has made a lot of story out of her being on Gallifrey, and that's cool, but on its own that ending made NO sense for her. Adric's because it was SAD and MEAN-SPIRITED and having written a hated character is no reason to inflict that death on his friends, even if you don't like him. Peri's again (her ending is so weird I feel like it fits on both lists). And you know who I MIGHT have actually left on Gallifrey, maybe? Nyssa. Nyssa might actually have been happy there, I'm not sure. I would NEVER write Rose's second ending the way it happened in canon, for the same reason I would change Metacrisis Doctor's (because I find that relationship Very Very Bad on many levels), but that's fixable post-canon.

(I apologize if this is just a list of strange names to you. :P I'm surprisingly okay with about half the New Who fates, which is more than I would have guessed off the top of my head.)

100. If you could write an episode of DW, any ideas for what you’d do?

Oh, FUN!

I have a lot of ideas for things to do with DW (like every other fan), but if I had just one story I would use it to revisit a Classic companion. There are a bunch of good choices here, but the one I have the most well-developed story concept for is Turlough, so let's go with him!

Turlough's origin (what we know of it) is very bound up in his home's political troubles, and I love his character arc in canon, so I'd do something that lets us explore more of both those things. I'd do a political intrigue story on his homeworld or another planet associated with it, where he runs into the Doctor & current companions and helps them out, and we also get to see (after some initial shadiness just for fun) that he's grown into an unambiguously heroic person and responsible leader of his people. I think that could be a really good story, and ALSO wouldn't need much exposition if you handled it right. Just reveal his connection to the Doctor to the current companions + audience at the same time and you're good.

Duskwood - thoughts, observations and summaries. (DW-TOS) Part 2!

And I came back with the second part!

82 - Jessy sends us a message asking if we send messages to Hacker, if we answer yes, she replies that he is scary. If we say "I happen to like him, actually." Jessy says, "I bet you're the only person in the world who likes this guy. But don't get me wrong, I don't think he's behind the kidnapping. He wouldn't take such chances talking to us."

83 - Jessy then comments that she had a similar conversation with the others, but it was about the MC. If we say, "If I were you, you wouldn't trust me," Jessy replies, "But I trust you. If others knew that I sent you a message, they would be irritated with me. Anyway, I think it's better if you don't tell him too much "

84 - Another message in spy mode, this time between Thomas and Dan. Thomas contacted Dan, and Dan asked where Thomas was. Thomas replies, "You know what? It doesn't matter." Dan then asks what was going on, and then Thomas responds by asking if Dan was still part of the deal.

85 - Jake sends us a message, asking what it was all about (referring to the conversation between Dan and Thomas). We can say that no matter what it is, it seems to be highly suspicious and Jake agrees. He then comments, "Maybe we can find out together what that means. I found it more than strange that Thomas disappeared after the news of the body appeared."

If we say "Wait, how did you find this out? I didn't tell you about it" Jake replies that he is not going to put all his cards on the table for us. At least not for now.

86 - We then started seeing a message notification between Dan and a guy named Poke. Poke contacted Dan to be sure, and also said that Dan knew the time and place. Dan then tries to make some price offers, I think. In the end Poke says he was sorry for the girl.

87 - We talk to Jake again, and he asks us what we thought all that meant. And we can guess that Dan is buying something from Poke, and that he's asking for good money for that thing. Jake says he thinks the same thing as us, and he praises us by saying "good job". Jake also comments that the thing that is purchased is highly illegal, as Dan made sure not to mention the thing.

88 - Telling Jake that we should get to the bottom of this, Jake replies that he was going to get Poke's number. If we say "And what should I say?" Jake says "I didn't say the plan was perfect ... Can't you try to get this person involved in a conversation? Say you got a friend's number. Maybe you can get somewhere with this or not. If it doesn't work out, you can say you sent the number to the wrong number. Doesn't that sound convincing? " He then asks for time to find out the number.

89 - Jake contacts us, and says he managed to reconstruct a part of the image (of the medical prescription) And he says that we should take a look at it.

90 - Jake wonders why Hannah put a prescription on the cloud. For he could not understand what it would take a person to carry this in the cloud.

91 - So Jake says it would be better to search the almighty internet for what SSRI means. (SSRI was what we could see in the prescription)

92 - In this part we can place a bet with Jake to see who finds out the fastest =]

93 - We found that SSRI is a medication to treat depression.

94 - If we ask Jake if he knew that Hannah is suffering from depression, he says he doesn't know, so he says it didn't make sense and finally says he would talk to us later.

95 - We can then ask Jake if he was okay, he replies that he was okay, and then we can ask if we did something wrong, then he says "No, of course not. Let's talk later. I have to do some research" and then he goes off.

96 - We decrypt a file, this time it was a written file.

97 - Cleo sends us a message saying she was in front of Hannah's apartment, if she asks her what for, she says she went there at random, and says "But I think it wouldn't hurt to take a look".

98 - Cleo then tells us that it really wasn't spontaneous, and that she had thought about it asking herself "Would Hannah do the same for me? And I'm sure she would. She would have done it on the first day, as soon as knew. " We can then tell Cleo that we would like to have a best friend just like her.

99 - Cleo says to us "If it makes you feel better, I'm not invading. I know where her emergency key is hidden." And before entering, Cleo decides to call us and says "As you know, two heads are better than one"

100 - On the call, Cleo walks around the apartment and goes to the second floor, when she hears someone's footsteps, and when that mysterious person opens the door, we can't see who it is because the call hangs and then falls off. (If I'm not mistaken, was that the end of chapter 2? Or was it 3? Wait ... it was the end of chapter 2)

101 - So, now in chapter 3, Cleo, apparently a few minutes after the call dropped, she sends a message. She then tells us that Thomas was at the door. Cleo says she is still in the apartment with Thomas and says she would speak to us later.

102 - Jessy sends us a photo of a newspaper article reporting the body that was found. She was angry because the article was too short about something that should be given more attention, but apparently Duskwood likes to ignore the disasters that occur around the city.

103 - We returned to the group where all the guys are and Thomas finally appears and comments that it was the police and tells the group that the body found was not Hannah's. But we still don't know whose body it was (we only discovered this more recently in chapter 7, but I'll leave that to comment on when I get there).

104 - If we ask Thomas if he was at the police station all this time, and soon after he came to tell the group that the body was not Hannah's. He replies that before that, he was crying like a baby after we told him about the body, and then he went to the police. And then he asks us if we are happy now. After we answer him, Thomas says nothing and goes offline.

105 - Jake sends us a message, and he says he decided to read the conversation between MC and Cleo. We can tell him that this no longer surprises us, but then he apologizes and comments that after our phone call went down, he was a little worried. We can ask him "Well, what do you want me to say?" and he replies "I know it's not comfortable for you. But I would like you to look at it from my point of view and understand why I am doing this." We can ask him "So is it important how I feel about you ?!" Jake replies, yes, he cares what we think about him. We can tell him that we also care about what he thinks about us. (Then he replies with a smile :) )

106 - Jake asks us why we thought would take Thomas to Hannah's apartment. We can guess that Thomas was trying to recover something there. Jake says it is a very logical assumption, but to be honest he was not sure, and it was better to wait because he was sure that Cleo would tell what had happened.

If we tell Jake that we think something wasn’t right, he responds "Do you think? I didn’t notice anything.", We can answer him because we think something was wrong, saying that Cleo wanted to say something, because of Thomas . We then found out that Jake has problems deciphering emotions through text messages, and he says that MC managing to do that is of utmost importance.

We can then tell Jake that we have never heard of anyone who has had this problem before, and Jake replies, "There are few people who can openly admit their faults. I usually find it very difficult to do. "By thanking him for telling us something like that (you know, something so personal, admitting your failure? I think it takes a lot of courage and trust with the person you are talking to. Who likes to admit their faults openly to other people? Especially to those you hardly know?)

Jake says we could talk about it in more detail again in another moment, if we wanted to know more. But now there were more important things to talk about.

107 - We then started talking about what we found in Hannah’s cloud (That written note. Unfortunately I don’t have a printout of the note, so I’ll describe the note in other post) Jake tells us that he read it several times and couldn't understand what it meant. We can then share with him our thoughts on the note, we can say that Hannah wrote that note because she was trying to process something, because the text was very emotional. Jake tells us that MC is incredibly observant.

108 - If we ask Jake if he never thought Hannah's behavior was strange, Jake says no. Asking him "But you know Hannah personally, right?", He replies "I don't think I can say I do, no", "Does Hannah even know you?" Jake just says that he will one day tell everything, when the time is right.

109 - Asking him about Poke's number, Jake replies that he needs more time to find out and asks if we still remembered what we were going to tell him.

110 - When commenting on Hannah's antidepressant medicine, Jake says he had no idea that she suffered from depression. However, he says there is no need to worry about this for the investigation, as it would not have hurt herself, and that it was not even under discussion.

111 - Jake then says that until now we already knew the most important things, and then we can comment on the body, and ask if Jake was trying to avoid this issue. He says no, at least not intentionally. He also says he already knew it couldn't be Hannah's body and asks us if we had discovered anything in the meantime.

112 - It is then that we can comment on the legend of Duskwood, the legend of the mwaf. Jake asks if we want to talk about it, but then we can answer him "When the time is right". Jake says "Are you making fun of me now?" and we can answer "It doesn't look so good, does it?", Jake then admits that it made him laugh, and that he deserved it because he always made us wait to know things.

113 - But even so we give Jake a chance and we tell what we found, commenting that it is about an old legend, about such a man without a face, that he goes after people who have committed terrible sins, and drags them to the forest, and they say Hannah is one of their victims. Jake says he understood, but that he generally doesn't have much hope about legends and ghost stories. He also says that we weren't supposed to misinterpret him, but he was still going to check, but that he was going to find out Poke's number first.

114 - We talk again with Jessy and Richy about the legend of the mwaf, and about the fact that Alfie saw Hannah being dragged through the forest. Richy gives his opinion that Alfie, like him, was born in Duskwood, so he must have heard about the man without a face several times, and having heard about Hannah's disappearance, it's easy to mix reality with imaginary stories.

115 - If we say that we do not believe that this is what happened, Jessy says that she agrees and that the mwaf is a real clue and that we should go further, whether or not Richy was with him, since he did not believe in those things. In the end Richy decides to stay so things won't get out of hand

116 - As the conversation ends, Richy realizes that he hasn't added us yet.

117 - Richy asks us a favor, asking us not to instigate Jessy too much with all this mwaf history. He also comments that Jessy is the type of person who WANTS to see the monster, that he is real. We can then tell Richy that we are only after facts, that is, behind clues, not monsters, and that makes Richy feel more relieved. We can also ask if Richy is in love for Jessy, he is embarrassed and asks us why we think so. When we say it's just a feeling, he is speechless and denies it, but then asks "But what if I liked her?" , we can say that we don't care about that and he replies "That's good. As long as you don't think I'm in love with her." (he makes a spelling mistake, but I don't know what it would be like in English) When we correct him, Richy says that we pay a lot of attention to details and says that he will talk to the MC later.

118 - We decrypt another written file and send it to Jake. After he took a look he said that this note was completely different from the other. We can say why we found that note different by saying that "It's easier to understand" Jake agrees and adds that the first note was mysterious, almost enigmatic, while the second note seemed to be talking about an experience. And we can say "A diary?" Jake agrees and says that our discovery was really important, and he praises us saying that we did a good job.

119 - Jake says he wants to try to do something new with us, taking notes on some of the most important key points, and after he and we made our conclusions, we would compare. When we say that we think this is a good idea, he replies that he is happy we found it.

When we finish our notes, Jake compares them, and depending on what you answered, Jake can tell you that surprisingly our notes are the same as his (again, I don't have a print of the text, so when I get to that part of the game I will do some prints and comment on it.)

120 - Jake begins to summarize all the clues that have been found. We know that Hannah visited a family, and in that family there was a woman named Iris, Hannah was accompanied by an unidentified man, and his support meant a lot to her. They were talking about something that Hannah already seemed to know, she hoped to find out more and Hannah was feeling very guilty about this family. In addition, it is commented at the end of the note on "The emerald eyes".

121 - We can guess that this note is related to Hannah's disappearance. Jake comments that this may be the way to find out Hannah's exact steps in the days before she disappeared.

122 - Jake then ends (or tries) the conversation by saying "Very well. I think that's it for now. Or is there anything else we should talk about?" And at that point (if you have premiums) you can ask Jake "Tell me your name". He replies "My name? Why would you care about my name?" And then we can say to him "Because I like you." "Please" and then he finally reveals to us that his name is Jake. So we can say "Hello, Jake" and he replies with "Hello, MC" "I'm getting careless. This is not good" and we can ask him if he doesn't feel relieved and Jake says "Yes, strangely. At the same time, it's dangerous to open up to you. There's a lot at stake for me." we can tell Jake that he can trust us, and he replies "I want to trust you" Then right after he asks us "So now I would like to find out more about you", When we ask what he would like to know about us, he responds by asking if we are dating someone. If we say "No" and ask him why he would like to know, he replies "I don't know. I ..." when we say "Yes?", He says "I think you're fascinating" (Aww Jake, you know how to conquer me, don't you? Did I just think that this would be something Sherlock Holmes would say if he were in love? Just me? Ok .-.)

and of course, we can answer him saying that we also find him fascinating =]

Quickly Jake says he better go before he blushes, and then he says he'll talk to us later.

123 - Richy sends a message to the group saying that something is now on a date, which will be on Sunday at 2 pm, we found out shortly after he was referring to the search he would have in the forest to try to find Hannah, that the women of church at Duskwood are organizing, Miranda, Cleo’s mother, she’s the one who’s leading the women’s group.

124 - Cleo sends us a message and says that Thomas is hiding something. Cleo says he was shocked to see her there. She asked him why Thomas was there at Hannah's apartment, he replied that he was at the police station and was told that the body was not Hannah's, and then he said he went to the apartment to find clues, because now the time was even more essential than before.

125 - Cleo realized that she hadn't heard Thomas use the key when he entered. She asked him how he got in and Thomas smiled and said it was clear that he had the key, and even made a kind of joke about whether Cleo didn't remember that he was Hannah's boyfriend.

126 - Cleo comments that Hannah and Thomas had fought a few weeks before she disappeared, and that he had returned the key to Hannah.

127 - Thomas took something from the apartment.

128 - After Cleo talks to us, she will talk to Richy, she said that when she was running she heard voices and jumped over the junkyard fence. Richy doesn't seem to care about that, and says that if Cleo wanted to reward him, she would just make the famous pyramid cake. And Cleo was already doing that.

129 - Richy says it was his voices arguing with Paul (Richy's dad) and then he says "She got lost outside again because he wasn't paying attention." (Who is "she" that Richy commented on? Was it his mother?)

130 - Jessy sends a message to the group of legends saying that she had an idea, that she was sure that in the library there was a book that told about mwaf.

131 - Jake sends us a message saying he got Poke's number. And we found out that we have to call Poke because he has a private account, luckily the connection fails so Poke is obliged to send a message to us.

132 - We found out that Poke is a keyring. And then it all makes sense, Dan bought a key from Poke so Thomas could get into Hannah's apartment.

133 - We talk about it to Jake and then he asks if we had talked to Cleo. We can comment that Thomas took something from the apartment, Jake asked if we knew what he had taken, of course we don't know, but we can guess that he took something that linked him to the kidnapping.

134 - We can also comment that Thomas lied to Cleo about the key.

135 - And we can tell that Hannah and Thomas had a fight. Jake is incredulous that Cleo has known this for so long and only tells it now.

136 - If we ask Jake what he thinks of all that, he replies that we have enough reason to be careful with Thomas. However, we should not yet feel safe with others.

137 - We asked Jake what we (MC) should do now. He responds to act normally around Thomas, as if we don't know any of this. Jake also says that we should find out about Thomas's side.

138 - Jessy went to the library, but the book had already been borrowed, and on top of that it was not known who was with it, and whoever had the book with it was already 4 days late to deliver.

139 - We see a conversation between Phil and Jessy. He said he was disappointed that Dan hadn't shown up on the first day of work.

140 - Apparently Cleo went to snoop around the bar (she had already commented that she would go to the bar to try to find new information, but she didn't tell us when she went.)

141 - We heard that Cleo asked Phil some questions about Hannah, and he was very rude. Saying that Hannah was flirting with someone, and that it was just a matter of time before she messed with the wrong guy.

142 - Richy asks if he should talk to Phil, if we say yes he will talk to him after he leaves work.

143 - Dan talks to Jessy, apologizing for what he had done, he said he had forgotten. Then he invites her to a date at the Black Swan.

144 - We found a photo of a raven carved in a tree in the forest.

145 - Jake starts writing, but then gives up, so we can talk about what it was, that it was the crow sign. Jake asked if this had anything to do with the legend we had mentioned earlier.

146 - Jake says he's going to leave it to us, and we can say "Because you don't believe that, right?", And then he says "No, because I trust you. I would suggest showing the photo to your friends."

i replayed kz again tonight and managed to beat it in 4 hrs instead of 11 !!! which is rly cool imo, i think i got a max of like 50 deaths or less for the full run ??? i was just playing regularly but usin the prism blade for the cool blood effects, not in speedrun mode for the counter, and i managed 2 drag my friend into hyperfixation hell with me :} but also i have some thoughts and opinions im not rly sure how to compile in a meaningful way, so here’s the like. pure brain-down-on-blog post version under the cut. if this gets auto-tagged into the real actual tag for this game im very sorry for my hubris im just. thinking emoji

so id like to start this with the final boss makes me SO sad :( like yeah she doesnt have much dialogue but idk she just makes me so sad. she’s so desperate and she Knows shes going to lose and im just like. no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you’re so cool!!!!!!! Please Be My Friend We Can Work Together. I Know A Guy :c like usually final bosses are like weirdly emotional for me but she was just SO COOL and realizing like WAIT THIS BOSS OPERATES UNDER THE SAME RULES I DO was just like WOW even if as i kept dying (and i think i spent like... 3 hrs on the final boss alone lmao the first time, i killed her on my third attempt this run which was very cool of me) i finally realized that she IS pretty repetitive and got all her patterns n variables down super easy, but like, fighting another null who Should for all intents and purposes be just as absurd and powerful as i am, and eventually being able to down her effortlessly, and then the withdrawal affects of the chronos kicking in as well, and its just like. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

dont even get me STARTED on that ‘to be continued’ like yeah there’s a dlc comin but the game mentions repeatedly that its just the first act which has me like OKAY. SPECULATION TIME (what am i speculating on? literally no idea im not even rly at the speculation phase im still in the WOW COOL VIDEO GAME phase)

and i rly like the dragon/fifteen but the first time i saw him i was just like. who’s this f*llmetal alchemist looking bitch ??? what’s he doin here?? go HOME and controlling him is AWFUL i hate the dragon tape so MUCH >:C but also he’s like. cool. i want to know more about him n his plot 2 take down Juncture n the government n whatever.

but also i was listen 2 Full Confession bc it’s just. what the heart wants rn. i need to be sad and caffeinated in order to get into the Writing Zone rn and then i was THINKIN like my friend mentioned while we were playing the dragon tape that the song that plays is very similar to Full Confession (which i had sent him earlier while i was losing my mind over the final boss) and then i was like. Hm. these are very similar but have such wildly different moods -- Breath of the Serpent is much more like. ‘you’re going to be afraid of me’ while Full Confession is like ‘i’m afraid of you’ and i think that the different Vibes from these two soundtrack bits about important Null characters is just like. WOW and i wonder how a version of it that was purely Zero’s might be. would it be more triumphant? more flat? what desperation or emptiness is in there that could be drawn out by this melody??? i dont KNOW and i can’t write music unfortunately but im just like AAAAAAAAAA

i also rly wanna know what snow has going on ??? like. shes clearly important. she is a vital npc. but Why. she didnt even rly do anything except Show Up???

fuck V. all my homies hate V. the motorcycle fight was a lot of fun tho i rly liked that section even if my therapist was mad at me afterwards

also i think elizabeth/the little girl is rly cute and the fact zero was just like. ‘hm. well guess i have a daughter now’ so fast w/ her (at least, with the dialogue trees me n my pal kept going down) and im just. So Hoping we can rescue her in the dlc :( i miss her so much and im so like. worried abt that like pls give me back my daughter you dumbasses i cant even read ur dialogue without my brain being like ‘yeah these r just squiggly lines, boss. gl’

i also want to believe that the masked men arent real (bc idk, it’s just easier for me to process that they’re the result of chronos withdrawal) but the problem w/ that is like. they definitely kidnapped elizabeth, and i want so desperately to believe that elizabeth IS real n that zero genuinely wants to protect her (and by extension, the part of himself that is still human)

ALSO THE PSYCHIATRIST i was just like. Okay. I Must Get A Good Grade In Therapy. n kept being nice n cooperative and helpful to this clown ass and then THAT ENDING ??? like i didnt even get the Bad Therapist Ending i was just like. fucka you! attacka you with a rock! (i do however want to try the therapist boss it sounds like a lot of fun) but i just. i hate him! he sucks! find a better therapist zero u rly need one im sorry for ur problems disorder :( like hes clearly a guy who just works for the government n wants 2 keep a leash on our man

n the contradictions, hes like. yeah ur killing everyone related to chronos so it can no longer be produced ♥ but dw ur special we totally wont just withhold chronos from you as soon as u finish ur tasks dw about it ♥ and its like. Hm. I Dont Think Thats Right !!!!

also i wanna learn more about what Juncture has going on??? what are they like. Doing besides poisoning water n making lighters ?????? it’s clearly a lot

also the art for this game is just so GOOD,,, like. i didnt rly notice a lot of the backgrounds my first playthrough bc i was just losing my mind the whole time trying to solve each puzzle but the second playthrough im just like. AAAAA. and the soundtrack? effervescent. groundbreaking. perfect. So Good

and the GAMEPLAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my GOD i was SO vibing with it, the difficulty curve was kinda extreme imo but as soon as i started like. Getting It? and started looking at each room less like combat/fighting and more like a puzzle that needed to be solved it made it so much easier 2 get into the headphase of ‘okay how do i clear this’ and it was just like. YOOOOOOOO

and zero is just a lot of fun 2 play as. legitimately everything about him is just so ridiculous. his dialogue options? ridiculous. his design? absurd. the implications that hes like. 22 and just having the worst 10 days of his life? mood, buddy. this guy likes samurai movies and card games and mushroom pizza and has worn the same outfit every single day for who knows how long and hes also a war veteran, an emotionless serial killer and a drug addict. and hes 22 and 5′10. literally NOTHING about those traits make sense together but here he is, just Vibing.

i love him so much. im going to make a self insert oc that’s just giving him a friend who knows how to cook n is just like ‘oh wow, that’s rough buddy’ when hes like ‘i only feel alive when i kill people’ and conveniently knows how 2 get bloodstains out of things bc i think he needs that kind of person in his life since his like. therapist is conspiring against him n he keeps having 2 kill his friends

also, unfortunately, i want to get every achievement, which i feel like is going to become hld....2!! where i get all but 1 of them and am stuck at 96% for 2+ years >:T

Love is complicated.

To me, it’s not about having a partner. Actually, loving someone regardless of romantic feelings is way more important, in my opinion. These things can co-exist, and loving a friend is just as important loving a lover.

The lack of it can hurt, especially being forced out of it. But feeling love? I don’t know. It’s one of the most beautiful feelings ever. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by it.

I really love this article on it! It’s about the 8 types of love the ancient greeks had, and as I greek person myself, I think highly of it. I highly recommend reading it!

Random Season 5b thoughts:

It’s a good thing those last few episodes were so good, because I spent most of the first half pissed at Lucifer. The episodes were good, but he really was a super bad boyfriend/partner.

However, those last two episodes were so good/emotional, it totally made up for it!

Maze would be a good choice for the Ruler of Hell.

Though I’m still a bit annoyed that they just kinda glossed over her betrayal... again.

They also glossed over Chloe’s kidnapping.

One thing they did not gloss over though was Ella’s storyline. I was impressed with how they handled that one. And her scenes with God were great.

I liked God a lot more than I thought I would. I don't think his relationship with Lucifer got the time it deserved, but the important parts were covered and he admitted that he had made mistakes.

Having God join Goddess in the other universe was a good choice.

Chloe telling God that he’s a bad parent was so satisfying.

Actually, Chloe was just great all round in 5B. A+ Girlfriend and the mother/daughter stuff really made up for the lack of it in 5A.

It was good to see Penelope again.

However, the whole having to take turns supporting each other is bullshit. You can support each other emotionally at the same time.

Dan’s reaction to finding out he had slept with Goddess was everything I wanted and more.

Dan Espinoza: Naked and Afraid was a ridiculous episode... but it was worth it for that last line. Perfect use for the one F-bomb.

It still was a fairly cruel prank though, even if it was good to see what Lucifer had been planning in 5x08.

Seeing Linda and her daughter start to form a relationship was nice.

The musical episode was one of my favourites; it was a lot of fun. I particularly liked the Every Breath You Take scene, but it was Trixie’s song that had me crying.

Speaking of crying, I’m fairly certain I cried all through the second half of Is This Really How It’s Going to End? First it was seeing Dan die, then seeing them have to tell Trixie. And then, just when I think I’m okay, there was the funeral!

And just when I’m through that, the finale happens...

We got to see Azrael again! Yay! But her only line broke my heart. Because as soon as she said it, I knew what it meant. And the look on Lucifer’s face and the way he cried over Chloe’s body... crying again.

Lucifer going to Heaven was great, and the scene where he chose to save Chloe was heart-breaking.

He finally told her he loves her!

And did he put that ring on her wedding ring finger?

It was good to see Mr Said Out Bitch again. And he said “fork” instead of “fuck” in Heaven. The Good Place reference anyone????

Melting down a demon blade for bullets was a great idea.

Having Lucifer refuse to kill Michael, despite everything, was great. It shows just how much he has grown.

It was interesting seeing more of Lucifer’s siblings. Not at all what I expected.

I don't like the fact that Lucifer is God and think that he would be absolutely terrible at it (better than Michael, yes, but that’s a low bar). I can understand Amenadiel’s reluctance, but I still think it should have been him.

My hopes for next season:

They change Hell to make it fair.

Dan makes it to Heaven.

More focus on day-to-day Deckerstar.

Michael petulantly sitting on Linda��s couch while she wonders how in Heaven and Earth there is a patient harder to deal with than Lucifer.

Okay, with only a few days to go I have thought of another theory to explain that line in the 5b trailer.

The reason why those words “would be a lie” is because Lucifer doesn't know what it feels like to love someone - or at least, he can't remember, having been alone for so long. And how could he honestly say he loves Chloe when he doesn’t even know what love is supposed to feel like?

Rec Notes: This one is between BluBallz and Our Mojo and does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s 3000 words of playful smut but there is some emotion in there too, with even a twinge of angst at the end.

Rating: Explicit Status: Complete Word Count: 22,921 (1 chapter) Author’s Summary: Having a sex life with Lucifer is... complicated. (Basically, Chloe and Lucifer figuring out their sexual dynamic in a post-S4, established relationship sort of situation.)

Rec Notes: This may be a long one to get through (nearly 23,000 words is a lot for a single chapter) but it’s definitely worth it. It’s a very realistic look on how someone would find it intimidating to be with someone as experienced as Lucifer, and captures Chloe’s insecurities well. It also depicts a very healthy relationship between Chloe and Lucifer, shown by things such as Chloe’s willingness to try new things and Lucifer’s acceptance of Chloe’s limits.

The Anonymity Gambit by SerotoninUp

Rating: Explicit Status: Complete Word Count: 5,843 (1 chapter) Author’s Summary: Chloe didn't intend to take up Lucifer's invitation to Lux's annual masquerade party, but with Trixie at Dan's and the house a little bit too quiet, she changes her mind at the last minute.

Rec Notes: This is set in early Season 3 and is a good fic for those who like it when Chloe lets her hair down and joins Lucifer at Lux. But what makes this fic special is the ending; after the playfulness of the majority of the fic, the sudden bit of angst really hit hard.

Rating: Teen Status: Complete Word Count: 3,080 (1 chapter) Author’s Summary: Maze had asked Chloe to write down 100 things she loved about Pierce, and she'd struggled to even think of one. Now, back home after her disastrous bachelorette party, Chloe considers the answer if she'd been asked to write down 100 things she loved about Lucifer instead.

Rec Notes: This is a great fic in which drunk!Chloe tries to convince herself that she is in love with Pierce, and instead proves that she is in love with Lucifer. And don't forget to check out the sequel where Lucifer gets to read the list.

wink wonk, wrote a thing based on a discord convo. contains references to surgery, anaesthesia, mild panic.

“Are you comfortable, Mr. Nikiforov?”

Victor nods. He’s as comfortable as one can be when one is naked (save one thin cloth draped over him to preserve his modesty), lying on a table with an oxygen mask strapped over one’s face and three gigantic silver lights looming over them.

“Good,” the anaesthesiologist says, turning away from him briefly. “I need you to take deep breaths in and out and start counting backwards from 100. Can you do that for me?”

Victor nods again, looks up from the masked woman beside him, back to those enormous lights. He sleeps under lamps at home, he thinks, but nothing this big. For some reason, the thought strikes him as hilarious. He giggles under his oxygen mask. Is the drug working already, or is this just nerves?

“100… 99…”

Lord knows it could be nerves. He’d spent the night before tossing and turning in bed next to Yuuri, trying to keep his mind off of all the articles he’d read about this surgery over the past two weeks. More specifically, the articles he’d read about how it could go wrong.

“98…97…”

He’d been a nervous wreck on the drive over this morning, and sleep deprived and hungry to boot. Yuuri had been amazing, though. When he’d finally broken down and confessed his fears in the hospital parking lot, Yuuri had held his hand and promised him that everything would be okay. He’d kept up a gentle litany of reassurances all the way up until the orderlies had wheeled Victor into the prep room. He’d sent him off with a squeeze of his hand and an “I love you,” and Victor had, he’d..

“96, ninety… ninety-“

Wait. What had he…

His mind is so foggy that he can’t remember what he’d said in response. Had he even responded? Had he told Yuuri he loved him before they brought him in here? What if he hadn’t? There are so many things that can go wrong… so many… what if he never gets a chance to say it again?

“Wait,” he tries to say, turning his gaze back to the anaesthesiologist sitting next to him. “Wait, stop. I have to tell… I have to…”

He can vaguely hear a rapid beeping somewhere above his head. The anaesthesiologist finally turns back to him in response.

“Mr. Nikiforov, I need you to relax,” she says in a calm, reassuring voice. “ Everything will be okay, just keep taking those deep breaths, remember? 96, 95…”

“No,” he pleads through the mask, trying his hardest to stay awake as the edges of his vision grow dark, “My husband… I have to tell… my husband…”

The anaesthetic is kicking in now, and his eyelids feel like they weigh a ton. They keep slipping shut despite his best efforts. Doesn’t she understand? She has to take this mask off so he can go and tell Yuuri that he loves him, before it’s too late…

“Your husband is just outside in the waiting room, Mr. Nikiforov. Don’t worry.”

He can barely hear her. The rapid beeps from the heart monitor are slowing as the drugs’ effects continue to work on him. He can no longer keep his eyes open, and the sounds seem muffled and indistinct. He feels light and heavy at the same time. But he can’t sleep yet! He needs… Yuuri… he needs to tell him…

“…Love you” he murmurs into his mask, and sleeps.

(he doesn’t like, die on the table or anything dw! the surgery goes off without a hitch and he super tells yuuri he loves him as soon as he wakes up lol)
