small duck polycule hc for you. but whenever callie kisses sol or calder a flower blooms in her hair and when she collects enough she gives it to them as a bouqet

Thats so cute. Contraproposal, she usually let the flowers fall and They grab them every time. Sol makes nice arrangements, is the one who makes pretty bouquets and gives them to the boygirlfriends. Calder likes to collect them and put them on water to be sure they stay alive. She might make flowercrowns for them.

Occasionally she's in autumn for > spring form and they get a lot of dry leaves to crunch and play with. If she's on her winter style it's nap time for Sol cuz she makes a nice snow ❄️

sorry ANOTHER hc bcus im also obbsessed. whenever callie makes a leomund tiny hit she makes a triple bunk bed but by the end of the night all three of them always end up in calders bed. calder always complains "we all have a bed we dont ALL have to sleep in MY bunk" because he is deep down in his heart a little brother. but he always moves over and never actually suggests anyone leaves

I swear I can hear Calder/Jake's whiny voice complaining like that. He's so whiny. But if they AREN'T on his bed by the end of the night he wakes up all frowny.

It's not like Calder is Jealous. He loves Sol and Callie and loves that they love eachother. But ooohh. If they decide to be kissy kissy woth eachother and don't bring him on the mix, he gets all pouty. And he never invites himself because he WANTS them to invite him. He's entitled little brother. He doesn't get MAD but gets pouty until he gets distracted.

Sols always played like a fiddle and gives him kissy kisses and oh ño I'm sowwy♡♡♡. Callie tries to work with him into not be cranky like that. But it's not a real problem.

Ok. Take two on me not wanting to talk about the sad frog so talking about the frog in a polycule (being sad)

Ok so.

Sol is a very willed person, we all agree right? And his love language, 100% is acts of service. He loves doing things for his loved ones, help others, do his best.

Well. Think about this.

He's surprisingly low self esteemed.

He doesn't just like doing things for others, he thinks he doesn't deserve the same treatment. He's good coating his real feelings, and reading feelings on others to do his best. He's not the boy wizard, he's the frog pal. He's the accessory. He isn't the main character, he doesn't want to be, and he's happy with his place as it is. It doesn't make it less wrong.

Calliope and Calder hold their feelings on the sleeves, both are outward. Even when Callie is winter, and she keeps her feelings under a thicker frozen cape, Sol knows what she is going thru, he knows how to help her.

The bad side is they aren't very good to subtle stuff, and Sol is all subtle stuff: he convinced himself that Calder and Calliope are in a relationship, and he's the accessory. Since anyway he does like doing things for others, it's very well hidden that he hops away when they are together for that reason. He's really good at keeping his feelings coated, and sometimes not even him knows what's going on.

It take it a long time, a winter Calliope with a colder mind prone to logic, and a very subtle commentary about leaving the cold bed so hey can snuggle, for anyone to notice that there was something hurting Sol deep inside. Coated enough that he didn't knew, or could ignore.

ok im back and i thought even more about duck team bed sharing (not admitting i have a favourite trope or anything)

sol & callie are both AWFUL TERRIBLE sleep partners. sol is constantly moving in his sleep. callie is clingy in her sleep. sol sleep talks. callie snores like a middle aged dad. for any normal person it would be impossible to sleep with them... except for calder! calder grew up sharing a bed w his two giant sized brothers, so being squished and jostled between 2 full unconscious people feels like home. especially after the first few years when he had just left home and was completely alone in ezry being sandwiched by callie and sol is warm and cozy . also, when he has nightmares about being trapped in ultrus helm, its nice to wake up to the sound of soft murmering and ryhtmic snoring.... calder definitely still complains but also wouldnt have it any other way

anyway. they r soft and cute and silly to me 👍

Nooo that's so cute!!! HOME IS WHEREVER THEY ARE ;0; Calder feeling homesick, missing his family, hating but loving being all alone... till the day he's assigned the D team and boring missions late night end up with em all piddled up on Calder's bedroom . He havent slept like that on years.

Froggo likes to sleep on a pond. He doesn't get to do it frequently. But he likes to sleep on a pond.

Rainy day Calliope melts a little and shares a pond with him whenever she can. Calder tried, because of course he hates when they are doing things and he's not there [insert here cute yell whisper] water gave him haches and raising skin and almost drowned when he dozed up.

He cranking sleeps by the side in a folding chair with his hand on the water.

Sol insist they don't have to, but appreciate the effort for acomodate his froggy self. And over thank, because he have that OH NO. Don't do things for Mr. I'm do things for ya. Servicial acts are my love language. Please I don't deserve attention and love just ignore me.
