before I get into anything, here are my timelines in this AU:

2 years between moto and season 11, atleast 5 months between s11 and s12, 5 more months between s12 and s13, 4 months between s13 and the island, a month between the island and s15, canonically a year between s15 and crystallized, 2 years between crystallized and the merge, 5 years between the merge and the events of DR

and jenna and ethan's ages during these times:

jenna: a year old during s11, almost two years old during s13, turned three a while after nya left, four during crystallized, six when the merge happened, and 11 in current time

ethan: a year old when the merge happened, and 6 in current time

I..know it's probably confusing, but I can attempt to explain more if you don't understand!

my fic for these two is currently being rewritten!!

and now, time to ramble abt the kids!! (warning, VERY long)

their full names are: Jenna Edna Lilly Walker and Ethan Ed Raymond Walker (you can guess who was named after who)

jenna was born just a year after moto, and ethan was born also a year after crystallized!

and from that, the age difference between them is 5 years

jenna inherits jay's powers, and ethan inherits nya's

ethan has ADHD and lacks good social skills due to being surrounded by only 2 people for most of his childhood, while jenna has anxiety, trust issues and some slight ptsd

oh and I can't forget to sprinkle the t r a u m a on them both

they have a good dynamic and bicker normally like siblings always do, but jenna sometimes needs to have her alone time and hates when anyone bothers her so she can snap at any time

while ethan is sensitive and cant control himself, especially if he sees someone distressed, but if he himself is the distressed one either no one should even come near him or he needs a genuiene hug or encouraging words from someone

I'm not sure when jenna will get her powers and will get her true potential, but until I figure it out, she gets her potential when she saw a certain someone in danger (kinda placeholder!!)

she didnt have control of her powers much at first, but would soon learn its abilities

and when ethan gets his powers, it doesn't go smoothly at all due to nya having been turned into the sea, so all the sudden power is..quite a painful experience without control

his true potential? realizing his worth and saving his sister from danger

I don't have exact birthdays for them yet, but the placeholders for now are may 23rd (jenna) and october 8th (ethan)

when they got a bit older, jenna decided to dye some streaks of her hair blue (and one time had a pixie cut), ethan didn't take any creative liberties with his hair but would sometimes style it when he's bored

jenna was named by jay, and while nya had wanted lilly she didnt mind and just she told him ''as long as you don't name her nya junior I won't throw you off a building"

lilly in the end was just given as a middle name

want a fun fact? jenna was the one that named ethan, the moment she saw him in his little blanket she just kept shouting "ethan! ethan!"

jenna always had a love for mechanism, while ethan would break a tv just by staring at it

tbf he does kind of have an intrest, but he finds it boring and just likes how it looks, but he is fairly good at it and just needs help

and jenna has a HUGE obsession for drawing and painting, while ethan likes cooking and is declared 'the gordon ramsey of the walkers* by jenna lmao

Jenna: dude please just open your own restuarant at this point Ethan: for the love of the fucking fsm Jenna-

jenna's special nickname is JJ! long story short, it was at first a shortened version of 'jay junior' that was actually a joke but then it became her actual nickname lmao

jenna is aroace and will go by she/they in the future, while ethan goes by he/him and will come out as bi!

jenna was attached to both her parents but felt closer to nya, especially after seabound

she'd watch her and jay in the sam x cave for ages

never remembering nya nor jay, ethan was wary of nya at first and tried to stay close to jenna but the moment she hugged him? he felt safe and knew it was right (shoot I'm kinda spoiling the reunion uhh)

jenna says she has no favourite uncle, but it's secretly cole and only he knows that

and she bullies kai, even when she's not ordered to do so by jay 👌

she does have a good bond with all of them tho!

jenna, in dragons rising, is 5'0 and will stay that height for a while until she hits a sudden growth spurt at 13 and is literally 5'6

and she'd be 5'9 at 16

happens with ethan aswell, he's only 6 so he's about 3'8 which is average for his age, but he'll keep growing taller and taller and he stops growing once he reached 5'8

The Forest Of Walkers(tm) as a moot of mine once quoted (we both hc jay to be very tall, finn I am looking at you)

and yes, that small part of the drawing of them walking is them in the future, I have no exact design yet and just wanted to throw that in bc of the free space lmao (I will post their future designs tho trust)

fun fact: when me and my friend were still planning what jenna and ethan would be doing after the merge, instead of staying with lloyd they had ended up with sora and arin

in this au, maya and ray are a tad closer to nya than they are in the actual show, they visit regularly to check on her, jay and jenna (soon ethan aswell)

both them and ed and edna SPOIL HER TO DEATH. they'd gladly take jenna any day

..which actually happened, seabound stuff :")

from the way all the ninja grieved, it was extremely lonely for a 3 almost 4 year old kid, especially with how everything happened so suddenly and how she can't yet process grief well, she only had cole who'd stay with her alot when she wasn't at her grandparents

even at their places it felt gloomy, but she loved to distract herself when she'd be in the junkyard by helping ed collect scraps and build with him (when her love of mechanism began)

and she loved to take walks with maya or ray at ignacia, or watch ray blacksmithing

it calmed her down a bit, but she knew something was still missing

edit: jay was also not in the best place after nya left, and wasn't able to spend time with jenna because she reminded him so much of nya, so he went to the lighthouse before he got too far

crystallized was..not the best experience either

because of spoilers and still planning out some more stuff, time to jump to post-crystallized

jenna grew much closer to nya, and had went to school 2 months after ethan was born!

she started in first grade, and was chaotic as fuck

she beat a kid in her class once just because he didnt like her drawings, obviously did not end well but she won and she was proud af 😎

during the timeskip after the merge, when ethan hit 4, lloyd would do some sort of homeschooling for him since he and jenna never left the monastery

no but like this isn't inaccurate lmfao. the first block of the story (s1-5) are so hit or miss for people. it truly is just some dudes fucking around in their basement. and it's hard to recommend bc like. everything About it is just some guys fucking around in their basement. it's very early '00s humor and without the benefit of nostalgia goggles (im pretty sure I first watched it in middle school?? '07 or so maybe??) it's reasonable for people to have that 'what..what the fuck is this' reaction to it

I forget who initially made this meme but it really is Like That lmfao. the sudden pivot into 'oh okay this is actually serious and part of a larger story than dudes dicking around in a canyon' and tbh I think once you get to season six and beyond, the first five become much easier to get through? because it's all laying the groundwork for characters and foreshadowing and junk.

and yeah like!!! it all comes down to the worlds worst wifeguy causing so much pain and trauma and suffering because he couldn't cope with the dead of his wife. like excuse me dr loser mcdeadwife, you still have a whole entire kid who needs you!! now look at her! jfc!

You may know Tara from The Morning Show (as Gayle Burns) or from a guest role in Ryan Murphy's AHS (season 9). She was also in the horror film 'The Cleansing Hour' with Ryan Guzman. In 2015, she co-wrote, produced and starred in the comedy 'BFFs'.

Tara also played a social worker Liz Dade in s13-15 of E.R., overlapping with Angela Bassett's time in E.R. as the troubled Dr Cate Banfield.

Another ER social worker was Erica Gimpel who played Pauline Barrett, the victim who fought back at the gas station (episode 5x13 of 911 (fox)) - and you may know her better as Coco from 'Fame'.

Tara's late mother, Pat Carroll, was also an actress. Her favourite role was as Ursula in the 1989 Disney animation of The Little Mermaid. She also had a guest role in E.R. among many others.

what if the empty was actually the big bad of s15, not chuck. silly meta with very little proof that i've been thinking about for weeks but.  

like, ok, bare with me. so, the empty was thee title card of the season, right? which to me feels like it should have been a larger presence than it was. and yes, the empty gets cas in the end, but mmmm, that doesn't feel like enough. ever since the empty was introduced, it's been vindictive, spiteful, and furious at being disturbed and awoken by cas.

a point was also made to establish that the empty is an ancient cosmic entity that exists outside of god's control. 

god has no domain in the empty. the empty also doesn't belong on earth or in heaven or other realms, but from what we saw in the episode where cas makes his deal, it can leave it's dimension and invade other realms. we also see this when it visits Death's library. 

throughout the seasons the empty is shown to have a clear agenda against cas. it targets jack to get to cas. it wants cas to suffer. and it /knows/ who cas loves. it knows all of cas's weaknesses. so, why wouldn't it toy with the winchesters? make them suffer, make them lose everything?

another thing we know about the empty is that it can take on various forms.

and this post about the disconnect between early seasons chuck as "an absentee authorfathergod" vs s15 chuck who is thirsty for revenge really got me thinking....what if that wasn't chuck at all in s15. what if it was the empty posing as chuck, wreaking havoc for the sole purpose of making cas and the winchester's suffer?

like i said i don't really have much "proof" to back this up it's just a silly little thought, though i'm sure if i rewatched s15 i'd start connecting dots to prove the theory but two things i do have to offer is, 

first: “chuck” disappearing all the people. Sure, god could do that, but there's just something about leaving the world utterly Empty that pings little lights in my brain. there is a profound sense of emptiness throughout 15x18 which then culminates in cas being taken by the empty. we already know there was a clear parallel being made with charlie and sam losing their significant others in that ep and then dean losing cas. so it would be all the more fitting it it *was* the empty responsible for all those losses.

second: lucifer and lilith coming back. both were in the empty. god supposedly has no domain in the empty. 

now spn has been finicky about it's lore in the past, like cas has come back / been brought back before by god / gadreel but those instances were before the empty was introduced as a concept so. ignoring that for a moment, one could reason that god shouldn't have the ability to bring back angels and demons from the empty. in fact, billie literally keeps jack stashed in the empty for a while specifically because god would not be able to reach him / detect him there. 

later the empty contradicts this saying that god isn’t supposed to have domain over the empty but that’s a lie and that billie has promised to fix this glitch. they also say they’re warded from entering earth. however, isn’t that exactly what an evil entity would say to mislead you so you don’t figure out they’ve been possessing god’s vessel the whole time? yea. 

anyways so, when cas comes back in s13 it's because the empty decides to release him. so, the empty-possessing-chuck would totally be capable of bringing lucifer and lilith back for funsies too. and LIKE HELLO:

lastly, the empty's pretty pissed at jack too for exploding inside it and making it loud. so when jack "becomes god" that's the empty leaving the chuck vessel and taking over jack.

and finally, what does the empty do best? put people to sleep and create illusions. the empty wants to sleep. the empty wants quiet. and who would threaten their quiet more than the winchesters? especially the one looking to bust out his angel. so, dean and sam think they won but they're sleeping. that over saturated heaven? sam's whole life post-dean? nothing but a dream. the empty won.

ok so thomas england is DEFINITELY one of the players who i imagine as part of the Prehistory Fridays Gang. so first he was around for everything in prehistory (along with fletcher berger, sebastian diaz and his partner, erickson hendricks, rhonda elliott, our lady of perpetual friday, fenry marlow and their dog homer, fitzgerald massey, jessi wise, and mrs silk who was then miss silk. and then also baby york and his dad parker, who was dating miss silk. obv not all of these people were necessarily fridays players at the time though maybe they worked behind the scenes). so THAT was a whole thing.

honestly part of the problem of being LITERALLY retconned out of the game is nobody remembers you anymore. thomas england was only around long enough to get joke lore, we were only really just starting to flesh out relationships between the players when he got incinerated, and he didnt get any of that. and what adds to this problem is, well in the fridays style of lore, we dont necessarily think about what a player does outside of blaseball, or at least we DEFINITELY didnt early on (and didnt get ANY new entirely unlored players until relatively late af in the game — so like, after sixpack on s4d86 our next two were fenry and yass statter jr in the s13 and s19 elections respectively). so as a result there isnt any kind of a precedent to fall back on for what i think about what he did?

but here's what i DO know;

i disagree with the wiki on this one: neither of his parents are from the UK (there is no way). i like to think like, at least one of his parents is native, and hes lived there his entire life

his legal name is thomas england + thats whats on all his blaseball stuff, but typically with other islanders he'd use pelekane (which is what some of the last few members of the hawaiian royal family called england in ʻolelo hawaiʻi). so its like, his career name is thomas england

he loves doctor who, and not just because its from the UK. like, hes seen the TV movie and at least one of the peter cushing movies and most of classic who, listened to a whole bunch of audios, reads the comics and the novels and like every EDA, has a subscription to dwmag, his bar for media quality is on the fucking GROUND so its literally all good he just loves dr who so much. he also probably has a cosplay of literally every doctor (including the shalka doctor and like the curse of fatal death ones too)

despite this he DOES. NOT. know ANYTHING about UK culture. he is constantly having amelia bedelia type misunderstandings of what things are. (ex: beans on toast = toast, peanut butter, jelly beans / "the tube" = "big pneumatic tube like the one for salmon, except people sized" / thinks john lennon's name was actually "john lemon")

he cant tell a single british accent apart he just identifies all of it as "british accent". fitz massey is from australia and is completely unaware that he thinks they are british. it is extremely lucky that he has never met anyone from ireland because they would probably strangle him. (weirdly though: despite him identifying approximately 50% of kiwis as british seemingly completely at random (absolutely no common criteria has been found at all. not looks not age not location nothing), he identifies 100% of scottish accents as "aotearoan")

he plays ʻukulele! maybe he worked at a ʻukulele store for a time at some point, even if it was like a summer job during high school... i like to think he's what got heat into playing :')

obsessed with choose your own adventure stories. he loves them.

I'll start if u don't mind; I think she's actually an epic mom and ppl who hate her don't realize the writers cannot fucking write women at all in the slightest and actually she loves Lloyd and she's an epic mom !!!

SO. i agree VERY MUCH WITH THIS STATEMENT. you can tell if you rewatch ninjago that they had no clue what they wanted misakos character to be. she definitely suffered the most from the “ninjago was originally 2 seasons” thing. by the time they figured out her character (which to me is s13) it was too late for her :(. also people who think she hates her son are so funny. so many ninjago fans cannot separate their own projections onto characters from canon so they just make up the most random bullshit about characters they don’t like. there’s more i’d say about this but i’d actually be kicking a hornets nest.

i’ve said this before but i REALLY think misakos character would’ve benefited so much from a sad backstory. i love the idea of her having a terrible mother and the whole breaking the cycle of abuse we could’ve had it all….. like the idea of misakos mom being what ppl think misako is would have been the best ever to me. her own mother not liking her and thinkjng she’s an inconvenience and getting in the way of her career is SOOOOO *kissy noise* the only thing i’d change would be her mother leaving her somewhere. personally i’d make it where misako ran away or got lost and her mom was like “aw :(. anyways!” and never bothered to look for her. think billy batson from shazam but less sympathetic for the mother character.

i actually wish they had made misako silly…. like another reason i feel like her character suffered is bc they were so insistent on making her a female wu that it feels like she isn’t even her own character sometimes. like the wise mentor trope is cool but im so over making every female character the hashtag epic girlboss. but if they were so insistent on making her a wise mentor why the FACK didn’t they ever use this or bring this up?????????

i’ve rewatched ninjago from beginning to end like 5 times and i swear they NEVER mention this once. like other than misako giving nya some advice here and there they never show misako actually. MENTORING nya. which makes no sense bc we the audience know that misako is capable of teaching fighting skills and wisdom. ninjago is very much a ‘tell don’t show’ type of show and misakos character suffers because of it so much :’(

i’ve said this once but misako and cecil SHOULDVE BEEN SIBLINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know some ppl prefer the exs route or just them having always not liked each other which i can see but come onnnnnnn. cecil literally looks like if they had to make a guy misako. you know stitch and the pink thing that looks like stitch but a Girl. that’s misako and cecil but siblings bc yes i know that stitch and angel the pink one are dating.

the ronin misako dareth friendship was interesting. it could’ve been cool but writers decided to immediately drop it. but also i think it was really weird?? the ronin misako part anyways because they put that in after shadow of ronin so that makes it so awkward to me lol. no clue how shadow of ronin did so maybe they just chose to ignore it but knowing what happened in that game makes it so funny in a really awkward way

season 9 was great that scene where misako tells lloyd to leave her behind…… ough. would’ve loved to see her interact with the other elemental masters a bit more but i’ll take what we got.

From my understanding the people on twitter were more upset with her response to biblegirl, who tweeted something along the lines of “the sooner we accept that most adults do cocaine the better” (not the exact wording, she deleted it now cause the response was overwhelmingly negative, but the sentiment was normalizing cocaine use bc it’s prevelant) and Denali responded “tea”. To me that’s a lot more 🤔what do u mean by that🤔 than anything she said on the podcast.

But from what I remember, I thought there was some truth to it. Many people do it, it's not just rampant in the lgbt+ community but everywhere else. Does it make it okay? Absolutely not but from what I took from it is that there's just so much shaming for it and I think harm reduction should be discussed. That's not to say that you should glorify it and I don't think they are, however its such a delicate & complicated topic that people are quick to jump at each others throats defending their stance, etc.. With Nali replying 'teaaa' I think also it has to do with the fandom's reaction to it as well.. like, it always gets weird?

I remember when s13 had been announced and people did their digging and found out about her mugshot etc.. the fandoms reaction gave me an ick because people were very much 'omg how scandalous teeheee 🤭" gossiping and theorizing it... and then again when she'd made a joke about her mugshot on the GITMS segment and then people were actually thirsting over it on twt.. like it was weird imo.. and yeah, she was open about it and to some extent you could argue "she made it our business" but I think this'll probably be the last time she does share about it and I don't think she owes us any more stuff about it if she doesn't want to. That's just me though.

Could the tweet have been worded better? Yeah, but again, the tweet from Biblegirl was deleted and I can't really go in depth. But tbh I don't want to go further into depth or back and forth after this ask and another i have, because this blog is mainly for reading [and occasionally writing] drag race fic and thirsting over my faves.

There def is a discussion to be had when it comes to people who have used it and people entirely against it, and there's many points to be shared on both sides. I've seen some of it while I was scrolling twt a while ago bc I follow a bunch of dr girls [obvs] and local queens.

As for Denali, if you no longer want to support her that's fine and your right. If you need/want to separate yourself from that, do it and if you're a follower or mutual of mine that wants to unfollow me there's no hard feelings. If you do wanna keep following me you can black list 'denali foxx' and 'denali' so you wont see posts with her tag. I cant speak for everyone else who may not tag but I can for my blog because I always use them and tag accordingly.

Drug use and talk happens and it's not a cancelable offense, in my opinion at least. There are many many queens who openly talk about substance use but I rarely even see anyone bring it up: Willow and a bunch of s14 girls doing shrooms, Camden talking about how blackout she was while touring last year and not knowing how she got safe to her hotel room, Sasha C mimes sniffing coke or smoking on stage, all the open stoners, etc.. when it comes to this and other topics people are very pick and choose when it comes to their faves so idk..

but again, this is all my opinion and ramble and its okay if we have a difference.

instinct says new who s1/s4/s10, classic who s12/s25 and like, i am right and i know that because they're the series' that everyone ever would pick. well maybe people would pick s13 classic because pyramids of mars rightfully is a banger episode but overall i think sarah is better in her earlier series - not that she's ever NOT good but like, she's at her strongest when she's more than just tom baker's funney friend, and s12 has genesis (which unpopular opinion, is more boring than everyone thinks) but objectively, it's a best. and of course s25 is remembrance, happiness patrol, silver nemesis, greatest show, and you'd probably struggle to get a better run of episodes (no i don't care what people say silver nemesis IS good it's FUN and dr who is no good when it's not FUN)

and you can't beat the way the end of s1 makes you feel. i don't care what people say, the slitheen are fine actually. actually all of s1 is so raw - the end of the world? father's day? dalek? boom town? (yes everyone who hates boom town is WRONG christoper eccleston is SO POWERFUL). and how can you dislike s4 like really. 10&donna are in the top three iconic doctor/companion duos of all time. they are just that good. there's actually not a single episode of s4 i find a bit of a slog which i do in pretty much every other new who series. and do i even need to say why s10 is the best? it's moff actually following through on his potential. it's the gorgeous and devastating finale. it's bill potts!!!

so yea i think i stand by that as best. unfortunately i think the masses are right on this one. but in terms of best to me, classic s7 (liz shaw BELOVED), s11 (because sarah is the best in her first series, she really is), s23 (trial of a time lord is good actually everyone else who hates it can shut up. do they not like fun????); and new s5 (anyone who hates amy can fight me and also like. it does make sense. like it's silly and overcomplicated but you're telling me the big bang doesn't make you feel?). they're the best in my heart and i won't be dissuaded

What up I haven't watched any sunny for like 3 months so my mind is a perfectly smooth blank slate - what seasons/eps are you poking around at most rn, I'll go watch them too :)

!!!! OOO yes ok i have a few eps ive been specifically fixated on esp since s15 came out...

i have been dissecting "The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award" and "Gets Quarantined" because they really reflect the writing of season 15 and I think its probs intentional.. mostly the way the gang describes 'playing the game' in the Award ep with the bright lights, fun colors, and funny banter... reflects the visual/surface-level aesthetics and writing of s15 and the subtext of Gets Quarantined (I wrote up an essay on this but forgot to post it so hopefully ill get around to that soon LOL) is very useful when reading s15! so I've been rlly into those eps ... I ESP RECCOMEND COMPARING THE ENDINGS OF "GETS QUARANTINED" AND THE S15 FINALE IF U WANT.. the whole thing abt 'creating a visual harmony' and how the gang does exactly that w audio/visuals at the end of Gets Quarantined and how they Very Much Do Not attain harmony at the end of s15 despite the framing making it seem that way at first glance is just so... so good. mwah.

but also s3 as a whole i have been rlly into the past few months! it's just so great cuz I think s3 perfectly captures most of who these characters are at their core, obv not EXACTLY cuz they were always hiding shit but its so so close... esp when u watch s3 then jump to like s15 u can see so clearly the kind of ppl they're PRETENDING to be in later seasons compared to who they really are in earlier seasons... but also how frank is basically the opposite cuz while the younger half of the gang builds up their facades over the years, frank's facade fades away!!!

and ive also been rlly diving into s13 lately... like oh my god there's so much to that season that I feel like I never see anyone rlly talk abt?? like.. i think its just a time thing. like an episode from season 7 is gonna be a lot more beloved than an ep from s13 by default I think cuz we've just had more Time with it... but man s13 has some rlly good depth in a lot of places. also I just have a good tolerance for 'bad writing' ig so I don't care </3

and lastly ive been obsessed with 'Mops Twice' !!! I've been trying to rlly get a good reading done on that ep... currently, I'm rlly fixated on the ep's use of the color red and esp how its used on the lips of both female characters?? wondering if its sort of a play on the concept of a 'red herring' esp since the color red was used in that kind of way in The Sixth Sense which mac n charlie make a big deal over in s5... idk I just feel like that's another instance where newer seasons don't get as deep analysis but there's a lot there to pick apart!! (my main theory is charlie is an extremely unreliable narrator who makes himself out to be the underdog/hero/victim in a similar fashion to how the narrative of Fight Club can be read... n he makes everyone else out to be the villains in very stereotypical ways complimenting noir tropes.. like deetress being the sorta femme fatales.. macdennis being queercoded villains... idk there's just a lot LOL)

TL;DR... "The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award" & "Gets Quarantined" from S9, Seasons 3 & 13, and "Mops Twice" from S14 have been my main focuses as of late!

it seems that she's younger than the other three, maybe like 13-14? lloyd did call her "wild kid", and sora herself who IS a kid called her "child" (ik she just called her that because they dont know her name or smth), so imo she's definitely younger

okay so he's probably the third oldest, if lloyd is 25 then it'll make him like...27? honestly not so sure but misako called him a "grown adult" in seabound, so if he's 27 post-merge then in seabound he'd be 21. crystallized 22, and pre-merge 23. agh this is hard

Nya:

she, as we all know, is kai's younger sis, and in the flashback when he held her he looked pretty young. so there's probably a 1 year age difference between them, making her 26

Jay:

i hc him being only a few months younger than nya, so he's also 26

Cole:

he's the second oldest i gurantee, maybe like..28 or 29? 28 probably

Zane:

he may be the oldest but who the fuck knows anymore

it seemed like she ruled imperium for quite a while, even when sora was younger, so lets say she's like in her early 50s aswell? or even late 40s, maybe she started her reign when she was like 20 something so that wouldve made her time as empress nearly 30 years
