once again i ask of you to please stop looking towards celebrities and influencers for political commentary and their takes on catastrophic and inhumane world events and to instead focus your attention on experts, journalists and world leaders

Oh boo hoo the people who made a CHOICE to buy the fucking video game and put it on their platform and encourage more people to make their same CHOICE are feeling harrassed.
You know. I called for no herassment to general public because it's counterproductive. You're just creating enemies. The general public feels like it has no stakes in this game and someone is atacking them for liking a franchise that was a big part of their childhood. So you are actively turning public opinion AWAY from yoir cause!
Did I ever defend terfs or any publically anti trans asshole? No, I literally called for phisical violence against them!
But with the general public that would be the wrong aproach. Make it their problem and thwir intwrest to help you.... that's why I ussualy quote a poem at people who say that this outrage is pointless. Look up "first they came" by Martin Neimöler. And then look up the author and where he stood before and after events in the poem.
Wanna be an activist? Convince people they need to stop those events from hapening again, and helping you and your cause is how they do it.
And believe me Shouting at people and herassing them will lead to spite, alienation and disdain. So stop sabotaging our comunity and do some thinking

I'll be honest, having seen a lot of the boil over, I think the thing that keeps catching a particular subgroup up about the finale is that the finale unequivocally says two things:
c!Dream was not always this way, he was at one point, just a 20 something year old running around in fields with his friends.
c!Dream was, and still is, unmistakably and indisputably human.
I feel like these two facts, being presented in such a way that there's no way for it to be misunderstood, are sticking points for that group because it forces an understanding that they have been actively been working against.
c!Dream did horrible things, but he was still human. He was human the entire time. He wasn't born evil, he wasn't a one-dimensional purely malicious villain that existed only to fill a role. He was human. He was human, and he did horrible things, and those horrible things did not negate his humanity. c!Dream was a human, and he was hurt, and he handled that hurt poorly, and he hurt people as a result. He wasn't always this way, he ended up this way because of how he was hurt and the poor choices he made to handle that hurt.
It's vicious towards people who've been stuck on this idea that c!Dream is inhuman, that's he's a monster, that he was always selfish, evil, "the problem". Because they need that simplicity in a narrative and can't handle the implication that anyone can end up being horrible. That there isn't a neat little line between good people and bad people, and that anyone can both be hurt and hurt others.
c!Dream is an ugly, vicious reflection of what someone can become when they believe their goal is worthwhile and they don't care if what they're doing is wrong. He is though, above all else, a human. Just a person. Who was hurt, and made bad choices. Nothing more, nothing less. Familiar and terrifying.
I feel like there's a certain group out there that absolutely cannot stand this idea that anyone can do horrible, irreparable damage, for much the same reason that some people don't like mirrors.

I really love Doc breaking kayfabe at the end of his episode to talk through how "If you and Grian ever teamed up you could destroy the server" is very funny
But also that telling stories like this together, respecting and trusting each other to play antagonists to each other, IS teamwork! It was really neat hearing him talk so directly about his perspective on roleplay, and lovely how much Doc respects Grian as a fellow creator & storyteller

Maybe a little overly serious approach to the situation, but y'all have GOT to be more respectful towards the creators you watch and consume content for. fWhip's message about getting a lot of hate is honestly abysmal.
Like, don't get me wrong, I love lore-related series! I think they're a lot of fun and I love watching them. But give non-lore series a chance! They're also a lot of fun!
These creators are all responsible adults who are very capable of creating boundaries for themselves and deciding amongst themselves what rules they want to follow when joining a project.
Obviously, there are many viewers and community members who this isn't directed at. :D
Please don't send hate to anyone, it's not helpful. If you don't like something, don't engage with it. Just leave it at that. Show respect to the community you're apart of, and to the creators that head it.
(It's fine to be annoyed with something and talk about it, but don't force a creator to see that negativity. It's not benefiting anyone.) The more hate a creator gets, the less they engage with and organize fun things for the community. Please remember to be kind.

I think the most prevalent type of person that I've personally encountered who used the term Bi Lesbian to describe themselves is someone who was deeply engrossed in one identity, only to discover they were part of another, but the former had become too integral to their personal identity. I.e. A person who was labeled as a Lesbian for years discovering an attraction to men but loathe to abandon the label of Lesbian while still wanting to embrace her bisexuality.
which is a shame because bisexuality itself fucking rules, and i hate how our community frequently makes bi wlw feel like they are 'less gay' than lesbians.
there are a lot of anxieties around bi wlw in our community, and this all reminds me of the 'can bi wlw be butch/femme' and even 'can bi wlw say dyke' 'arguments' that have been brought to my table. (they can and have done so longer than we've all been alive, btw)
i'll remind everyone that both times i stood up for bi wlw in this manner, i was harassed off of this website. we have got to be more normal and inclusive of bi wlw/nblw. our community depends on it.

the tumblr version of the roleplay formatter has been merged into the mobile version.
Tumblr media
why the change at all? we hate change: because managing two sites is double the work and it makes harder to update the coding on both platforms seamlessly. having two sites hosted on different platforms doubles the chances for bugs and glitches and it doubles the load of work. i'm only one person and i deal with chronic health issues which limits how much time and energy i can plausibly pour into a hobby. simplifying the formatter will be more efficient and kinder on my health long term.
why i merged the tumblr version into the carrd version instead of the other way around?: the tumblr version only works on desktop while the carrd version is adaptable to mobile devices hence why i've been calling it "the mobile version" but it works on desktop just as well. it made the most sense to keep the version that works on both desktop and mobile.
what is changing and what's staying the same: you'll only have to update your bookmarks if you have the url bookmarked :) i have added the night mode option from the original tumblr version to the mobile carrd version so that feature is still available and as far as the editor itself goes all features remain the same.
the con: the only thing i couldn't add to the carrd version is the toggle between 1080px and 540px boxes. this is because of how carrd adjusts the width of the content to device screen/resolution. if i add fixed sized boxes it will not work on mobile, which is why the carrd version was created in the first place. since this was the least used feature it was sacrificed to the gods :B
conclusion: the original link will remain active with a button redirecting to the updated carrd link, previously referred to as the mobile version.
you can keep using the formatter the same way you were before, just in a different url. unless you were already using the carrd hosted version, in which case nothing changes for you except having night mode now.

hazbin hotel hate is just fandom purists clutching their pearls. as a gore enjoyer, nothing is actually good or bad in terms of content they just hate the vulgarity.
the creator even had to apologize for making a jeffrey dahmer joke where hes in hell. its wild.
honestly it does kind of seem that way. i have little to no interest in ever watching it, but everything i've seen gives me the impression that people just didn't vibe with it (too edgy, automatic cringe response, whatever) and promptly tried to come up with reasons why it was morally bad.
