Sometimes it’s the professionals who don’t understand your pain

Having to explain why you’re hurt, when the professional sees the person who caused you the hurt as a human being..

You’ve only heard a facet of the story, in my world, this person who inflicted the pain would never understand how I feel either so how am I supposed to feel?

There are cultural nuances happening, that some people who are not a part of our culture have ever experienced so please don’t tell me that the other person who had inflicted the pain would understand how I feel, this person is surrounded by friends and family on the daily and has a huge ego and decides when, how, and the frequency of people enter and exit in their life

THAT person KNEW exactly what they were doing and were controlling the situation to their own benefit

Mine? Ever since I established boundaries, family and friends have left me alone, no one is ever by my side - I have to beg or bribe for company.. and constantly telling people how I would prefer to be approached is getting exhausting. I’m done with people who tell me they love me and then the next want nothing to do with me

It’s giving people the benefit of the doubt when things go silent and you’re torn between telling yourself that they love and care for you, they’re just going through a lot right now, and leaving because there’s nothing left for you there

You’re left hanging on during dead communication, waiting for a new cycle of that someone being interested and caring about you again, is it worth it? Especially when they ignore your messages, how are you supposed to find out what changed for them and why your feelings only deepened?

So, when I tell you I was hurt and you haven’t heard the entire story or even if you were in my shoes, how am I supposed to feel?

These are my physical headcanons for mal Bertha from descendants.

Like earlier I mentioned that mal would look cool with purple, blue, and green hair like the one above. So that way she can represent her parents but with a little bit of mal flair mixed in it. Purple:mal blue:hades green:maleficent.

Her outfits are so hideous in descendants 3 literally so I went on Pinterest and did my thing. And I gave her a real aesthetic. Idk what to call it but it’s basically just edgy.

Her color palette is black and purple. Deep purple and lots of black. She’s not a pretty pink princess lol

When she dresses formal I kind of want a elissabat from monster high type of style. Like poofy dresses but leather corset you know what I mean

Her makeup is always dark and wild and bold. I’m talking graphic liner, dark eyeshadow, bold black lip

Shoes are always some form of boot so that’s one similar thing to the movies lol

changes and trends in horror-genre films are linked to the anxieties of the culture in its time and place. Vampires are the manifestation of grappling with sexuality; aliens, of foreign influence. Horror from the Cold War is about apathy and annihilation; classic Japanese horror is characterised by “nature’s revenge”; psychological horror plays with anxieties that absorbed its audience, like pregnancy/abortion, mental illness, femininity. Some horror presses on the bruise of being trapped in a situation with upsetting tasks to complete, especially ones that compromise you as a person - reflecting the horrors and anxieties of capitalism etc etc etc. Cosmic horror is slightly out of fashion because our culture is more comfortable with, even wistful for, “the unknown.” Monster horror now has to be aware of itself, as a contingent of people now live in the freedom and comfort of saying “I would willingly, gladly, even preferentially fuck that monster.” But I don’t know much about films or genres: that ground has been covered by cleverer people.

I don’t actually like horror or movies. What interests me at the moment is how horror of the 2020s has an element of perception and paying attention.

Multiple movies in one year discussed monsters that killed you if you perceived them. There are monsters you can’t look at; monsters that kill you instantly if you get their attention. Monsters where you have to be silent, look down, hold still: pray that they pass over you. M Zombies have changed from a hand-waved virus that covers extras in splashy gore, to insidious spores. A disaster film is called Don’t Look Up, a horror film is called Nope. Even trashy nun horror sets up strange premises of keeping your eyes fixed on something as the devil GETS you.

No idea if this is anything. (I haven’t seen any of these things because, unfortunately, I hate them.) Someone who understands better than me could say something clever here, and I hope they do.

But the thing I’m thinking about is what this will look like to the future, as the Victorian sex vampires and Cold War anxieties look to us. I think they’ll have a little sympathy, but they probably won’t. You poor little prey animals, the kids will say, you were awfully afraid of facing up to things, weren’t you?

Starting off with hair. I know y’all see in the second and third movie her gets lighter but I loved her d1 hair so much!!! When I was younger I couldn’t tell if it was blue or black and then I realized why not have both!! Think of robecca steam from monster high

Next is her outfits. Once again they were hideous in descendants 3 but better than Mal’s outfits. Like why is she wearing all red, white and black her colors are freaking blue and black. Anyway they always make her have a bunch of leather in the movies too but she is an auradon girl. She needs heels, lace, frills all of it

So I went on Pinterest again and gave her aesthetic Princesscore since she is a princess, but sadly I couldn’t find any dark blue Princesscore outfits besides the one above which sucks. So please imagine those outfits in evies color scheme
