part two to lovers unite!

its been three weeks since you agreed to meet the pogues, and it was the best decision you've ever made. although your crush on jj has only grown since that evening in the ocean, you'd say you were hiding it pretty well... right?

you were working behind the counter at your shop when you hear someone walk in, you look up to see who it is, and you're a little surprised, normally your customers aren't wearing button downs and slacks. you see the very well dressed man walk up to you when jj steps in front of the counter, blocking him from you, "what do you want, rafe" jj says, his voice laced with venom. "just trying to support your little business, pogue" the man, who now you know name's rafe, says. you were taken aback from the sudden aggression from the two "umm do you need any help, sir?" you ask, quietly.

rafe smiles at you, before talking "yes, i was wondering if you were free after work" he says, steping around jj. "oh um i'-" you start to answer before getting cut off "no. shes busy, with me." jj says to rafe as you stand there, feeling embarrassed, and confused, by whats going on. suddenly jj walks around the counter to you and wraps an arm around you waist. "sorry, man. shes taken" jj says, with a smug smirk on his face. rafe scowls at jj and then walks away.

"sorry about him" jj says after he leaves. "oh- no its umm, its fine" you say, flustered. "i- i"ll be right back" you say before quickly walking to the bathroom to calm down. i mean, for fucks sake your crush just wrapped his arm around you and called you "his" obviously you were feeling things. when you come back out jj is waiting for you “hey i’m sorry it i made you uncomfortable by calling you mine and all that… rafe’s just- not the kind of guy you wanna date.” jj explains. ‘its fine, i liked it anyway’ you thought, “oh its- its fine. thanks for uh.. helping me get rid of him” you say with a soft smile “yeah, yeah of course” jj says with a smile before getting back to work.

you two finish your day up and go to the chateau, but your mind was still on what happened earlier. you were all sitting around a fire, drinking when someone got the idea to play truth or dare, "jj, truth or dare?" kiara says. "dare, obviously" jj says, taking a sip of beer "i dare you to chug that" kiara says smiling. jj chugs the remains of his beer before talking "boom! y/n, truth or dare?" he says, grabbing another beer. "uhh... truth" you say, scared of what his dare would be. "do you have a crush on me?" jj says, voice not even wavering. your whole world stops. how did he know? you thought you were hiding it so well. "uhh..." you say, trailing off. your brain couldn't process what he just said. "well? do you?" pope says. when you hear this you look around, all of the boys had a knowing smile on their faces. you realize it doesn't matter what you say, they know. fuck. how do they know? "um, yes i- uhm, i do" you say, hands shaking. before anyone can get another word in you talk again "do you like me?" you say, deciding to just fuck it. say whatever you were thinking, even if you regret it. "i do" you hear him say. wait, did he just say he likes me? "wait, what?" you say. snapping your head to him, eyes wide as saucers. "i said i like you, y/n" he says again, confirming you weren't crazy. "i like you, like.. a lot. and seeing rafe hit on you earlier i just- fuck. i cant lose you to someone else." he confesses. "i... i dont want to be someone else's. i want to be yours." you admit. "y/n, do you wanna go on a date tomorrow?" he asks, smiling. "i would love that" you say, blushing.

I need advice, please, you never answer my asks, even though you do with tkkrs spewing lies and hate. Please, I used to love every Jikook interaction, but since a while ago, I can't do it without thinking about how 99% of the fandom are tkkrs and hate JM. I want to enjoy their moments like you do, but it hurts so much to see all the hate JM receives. Sometimes I wonder if JK is worth it...like JM would be free if he dated someone else...tkkrs only want JK to be TH's sex toy, and if JM is with someone else, at least we could enjoy Jikook even if it's them just being friends. Or JK could shut tkkrs up sometime and try to defend Jimin...I gave up on TH confirming Jennie, he's a coward and doesn't want to lose his fans (tkkrs), so he's going to keep doing fanservice namedropping JK everytime he needs it... please, what is your secret? how can I enjoy jkk again? why are there so many people that believe JK is TH's boyfriend if JM is the one he loves? really, everything is so frustrating. Those asks are easy n take no time at all.

But anon, u asked for advice on how to enjoy Jikook moments despite the existence of tkkrs.

I will start by taking you back to this post I made when all hell broke loose that one time. It is incredibly important that people remember: your feelings are not Jimin's. This is the man who in 2018 was sent a death threat and he said that Armys were more worried about this person than he was. That he was alright and that no one should worry.

Quickly, lets pay attention to this part one more time

His fans were more concerned than he was. I do believe this to be the case 1000% right now too. You are more worried about the vermin than he is. You are more worried about Jikook antis, than he is. He doesn't care. If he cared he would pull away from JK. If he cared we wouldn't be getting a Jikook documentary. If he cared why would be continue providing Jikook content despite knowing some people will not receive it very well??? Despite knowing there are people who wanna kill him for hanging with JK?

If he cared we would be starved for moments on official content. He would keep away from JK if antis were affecting him. Period. There is no "poor Jimin." He's more than okay.

Anon, my advice is to keep this in mind. This is what I do. Jimin doesn't care, so neither do I.

So instead I laugh at them and mock them because they are just wasting their time and energy. No amount of hate and death threats are gonna stop Jimin from loving those he loves. And this is the truth.

Plus, why be concerned with people who believe members hate each other? Like in what world does that make sense?? Anon, you have seen the fuckery i share on this blog. These people are brainless and stupid. As we speak they claim that wasn't JK with Jimin in Tokyo. How can u take such people seriously??? I know I don't. I can't. So my advice, this is up to you and you only. Its is up to u to treat these people like the mental cases they are; by not taking them seriously. Report, block and move on. Go watch a happy Jimin compilation or something. If u can't take the hate, then unfollow all report pages, mute key words, stay on the clean side of twitter. Believe u me, it exists. Curate your timeline anon, it is possible. Even on twitter.

I promise you Jimin does not care. He used to but he sure as hell doesn't anymore. You remember this crucial part, and you will be able to enjoy Jikook in peace.

Plus, if you've been paying attention to JK, you will notice he doesn't feed tkkrs. He really doesn't. Not like in the past. And the dude has made it clear he doesn't like them... not even a little bit. And can u blame him? Look at you and how u feel. Now imagine JK, Jimin's boyfriend seeing this hate. Imagine how he feels. You can tell he ain't about tkkrs. Especially this year. Even they know it and so they rely on V for tkk content. (Denying them moments is the most JK can do. Interfering or trying to shut them up wouldn't work. If it didn't work with V, twice, it won't work with JK either)

CHAP 8 — party time

summary: Kai, one of your closest friends, invites you as a plus one to one of his best friend's birthday party. but the bday boy is kinda cute…can you steal his heart?

warnings: alcohol and jealous yn i think thats it

March 18th, 2023 aka party time

having never been to a party before it's only natural for you to stress out a little. if "a little" meant a lot that is. your especially nervous since you aren't exactly allowed to be going and It seems impossible to be going to your first real high school party in your senior year but here you are, contemplating what to wear. casual? formal? shit why didn't you ask if there is a dress code. too late now, casual it is! Sure, it's a safe choice, but you're only looking for one person's attention, so it shouldn't matter, right?

looking at yourself in the mirror, you wonder whether or not beomgyu will like your outfit. who am I kidding Of course he'll like it, he complimented your outfit the first time you hung out, and that was just your school uniform, so this should be okay.

turning your phone off and throwing it in your bag so you can be out of the door as fast as you can, you run down the stairs to the front door, trying to be as quite as possible so your mom doesn't know your going out. seeing Kai waiting impatiently at his car.

you run up to the car, quickly opening the passenger door, and jumping in the car. you wince at the sight of the car, empty water bottles everywhere, and fast food bags scattered around.

"Jeez Kai, do you ever clean this thing?" you question, throwing handfuls of empty water bottles into the back seat to make room for your legs.

"Don't disrespect the mojo dojo casa car y/n" he said "Also Soobin and I share this car, so this isn't my mess," he added while starting the car up and pulling out of the driveway.

"Is Soobin already at the party then?" you questioned, getting your phone out of your purse to tell beomgyu that you were on your way there.

"Yeah, he stayed the night at Yeonjun's place the day before to help set up the party," he tells you.

"Well How long will it take to get there?" you asked, looking at the time on your phone, wanting to see your friends already there as soon as possible.

"around forty minutes, but yknow we would have been there sooner if you hadn't taken so long to get ready."

"Wooooooww the disrespect is crazy, I just wanna look cute for pictures okay?"

"Maybe you're right" You pull out your phone and connect it to the Bluetooth in the car, playing a favorite song of Gyus that he told you about on your study date.

after a surprisingly pleasant and calm car ride of listening to chill music Gyu has reopened to you and let the air breeze through your hair, Kai, and you are finally just around the corner from the party. even if you're at the end of the street you can already hear the faint sound of music and the smell of alcohol coming from yeonjun's house.

"I can already hear the music, Kai." You close the window on your side of the car and text beomgyu telling him you're right around the corner. "Yeah well Yeonjun is kinda known for throwing parties," Kai says pulling into the driveway.

you slowly step out of the car, closing the door behind you. the sound hits you in the face immediately, Putting your hands over your ears you try to look for beomgyu, You thought it would be easy but there is just enough people in the front yard for you too not be able to see the front door from where your standing. thankfully Kai grabs onto your arm guiding you to the front door, maneuvering through the sea of people. the second you reach the front porch you see beomgyu standing there waiting for you.

"Hi gyu!! Happy birthday!!" You run up to him embracing him in a hug, then slowly pulling away not wanting to make him uncomfortable at the sudden affection. "Hey y/n!!" from Beomgyu's pov though it felt as though a million butterflies flew through his stomach, heartbeat going up to one hundred, making him a little nervous.

"I'm gonna play pinball with taehyun in the basement, Text me when you wanna leave y/n," Kai says, leaving the two of you alone at the front door.

"wanna get a drink? nothing with alcohol of course." he chuckles, gesturing for you to follow him to the kitchen, and of course you do. "Is Jiung here with haerin yet? I think they left to get here before me," you say checking the time on your phone, really just wanting to be around your mutual friends to start having 10x more fun.

"Yeah they're here, I'm pretty sure that there in the kitchen so we're going in the right direction if you wanna see them."

"cool, cool cool cool."

"You seem a bit nervous y/n, are you okay?"

"Well im not exactly allowed to be here."

"oh my god just don't get in trouble cause of me."

"I'll try not too"

After a little bit of back and forth talking and walking through a maze of hallways you finally make it to the kitchen, You see your friends talking among themselves and with someone you don't quite recognize.

"Hey y/n!!!" haerin yells out to you. "This party I really fun, I already made a friend, and she's like totally awesome," she says gesturing to the girl standing opposite to her, damn she's really pretty, is beomgyu friends with her?

"Hello! Y/n right? My name is Rami, so nice to meet you!" Maybe it's just you being a lil jealous of her beauty but you're getting major bad vibes from this girl.

"Hey, Rami...do you know the bday boy?" you ask, intertwining your arm with beomgyu's as if your dating. he doesn't seem to be at all surprised with your behaviour though, even leaning into you.

"No actually, Yeonjun invited me" she giggles. "I only came to make friends honestly. I did get you a present though beomgyu!" She reaches into her bag pulling out a $100 dollar gift card and hands it to beomgyu.

"Oh my god Rami this is too much, You really didn't have to." beomgyu muttered, moving away from you slowly taking the gift into his hands. feeling a bit like you've been showed up, you reach into your bag hoping that he would prefer a gift that had a lot more thought put into it. but you feel nothing. the book you bought for him is nowhere to be seen. you forgot it.

"What did you get for beomgyu, Y/n?" she says, clearly seeing the distraught on your face from not having the gift with you. and beomgyu looks at you the a look of excitement as if he's been waiting for this.

"Oh...umm" you don't know what to say, opting to lie about where your present is. "It hasn't come in the mail yet" You hope and pray that beomgyu couldn't tell you were lying. it doesn't seem like he did but everyone else definitely did.

"Oh well that's a pity," Rami says, jeez What was her problem. you might have been a little jealous of her beauty but what did she have against you?

"That's okay y/n, I'm sure it'll be worth the wait." beomgyu tells you, giving you a reassuring look, and patting you on the back.

"Well I dunno about you guys but I could really use a drink right now!" Rami says, only looking at beomgyu, then dragging him away by his sleeve towards the drinks station, looking you in the eyes the whole time.

"what the fuck" you say, crossing your arms while giving haerin the nastiest death stare.

"Don't look at me Y/n! I didn't know she would practically steal your man okay?" Hearin announced as if pleading her case. "Also..."

"What??"

"I may have already given her your number"

"Why?!??!"

"I thought you two would get along okay? so like sorry in advance if she texts you later"

"You better be sorry, if she gets to beomgyu before me I swear to god man"

"Yeahhh, it does look like she wants him too. I guess this is just the universe telling you to ask him out already"

"I'm working as fast as I can okay?" you say, defending yourself as you try to peek over to where beomgyu is. haerin does the same, looking in the same direction as you.

"You have got to be kidding me" You see what might be your biggest fear right now. Rami has her hand rubbing up beomgyu's arm, looking at him with half-lidded eyes, as she pours him a drink. thankfully he declined it.

"Jesus fucking Christ dude, why would she offer him alcohol?"

you basically spend the rest of the party trying to watch the two of them without them noticing, a little thankful when your mom calls you asking where you are. in the end, Kai takes you home having to apologize for sneaking you out.

Okay hi before we start this reading i wanna clarify a few things:

Okayy so onto the reading ->

I asked a general question on whats going on with him right now and tbh things don't seem so bad? Like it's just mostly him working and being busy with so many things like basically overwhelmed by the amount of things he has to do (now this is interesting bc isn't bts on a hiatus rn??? Why does he seem so busy? This can be his own album maybe? Or personal things too tbh not just work), tbh it's more like " i have the potential to do all of this yet im not really doing shit so i feel so overweight" or at least that's how he feels bc what im seeing is kinda different from what he sees quite the contrary actually like he seems to be slowly and surely working on his projects and things, the only problem i see here is his how he views this when in actuality everything is actually pretty balanced but to him it's all mushed up together, almost like everything is blurred out from his pov.

His biggest problem has to be not being able to focus and he REALLY hates this ( no surprise considering just from this reading he seems like a VERY hardworking person) it's like he heels all the things he has mastered all over the years are just leaving. The cup that he has been filling up for years and years now is getting empty all over again. This makes him feel like his young self all over again and he doesn't like it one bit, tbh it sort of seems like ( unresolved) trauma from the past are taking a toll on him, like they're hunting him down. Im telling u this all is happening inside his mind, on outside everything seems fine.

Now how long has he been like this? For a couple of months now. But whatever this is it genuinely is affecting him a lot, doesn't matter how much i try to make it seem insignificant, to him at this moment is everything.

His problem specifically is he's not used to this now this can be about him sort of not being with the other members like before( he definitely is still in contact but not as frequently as before) and he seems to not like this or it could even be just the fact that nothing that's been happening lately is really worth celebrating orrrr it could mean whoever he's dating rn, they're not on good terms with each other oorrrr it could just be all of them packed together. Another problem thT i see is him not beinh able to balance whatever that's been going on( which like shouldn't he be used to this by now? Like he's a veryyy famous artist ofc he neglects some personal stuff but u see now that he has more time it's actually affecting him way more negativly " like shit i really neglected all of this? " and now it's all crumbling down on him).

The best thing he can do to fix this? lmaoooo okay okay hear me out i got the empress, now this can mean a few things:

Needs to focus more on relationships with women ( his mom, sister and his gf )

man i know yallre just worried for them and it comes from deep appreciation for what the band has done up until this point but, why all of the nihilism??

sure funeral grey and fuck about it are.. pretty vapid in a few ways but, they each have a least a lyric or two worth something and sound generally catchy? rsd and self sabotage are pretty good imo, and seem genuine/vunerable even if they showcase Bad Stuff for awsten. and we havent got to see really *any* of the record thusfar because theyve been so busy, so there can be hidden gems. no ones gotta deny the clear appeal to general audiences, but i dont think we have to shit on it *so* heavily. ultimately they seem to want to keep growing and making music. they are probably pretty wealthy but its likely not enough to drop everything after one last poorly performing album. i especially can’t imagine that awsten would want to “let Them win” by leaving from feeling miserable due to ending up the same as every other artist or “failing” to play the industry game.

it would be ideal if they took these next few months before ymas tour to take a genuine break (minimal writing, no studio, nothing) and let fans know a vague release date but that its for the best so that they can put their all into it. i know realistically that probably wont be how it goes, but i trust them to recognize their own burnout and take *somewhat* of a break before their art suffers for it. even if they were planning on this being the last album before a hiatus, i cannot imagine theyd want to flop hard instead of going out on a bang. this doesnt have to be “the end of a good band” etc, awsten has openly talked about how much criticism theyve gotten from the start even on black light.

how hard is it to take the bands experimentation at face value or at least give awsten the credit of knowing when enoughs enough?

wow this is long and im not even sure if my response will encompass all of this but i'll try

i think the nihilism is reasonable tbh. it's not like awsten changes his bad habits online and it's not like this fanbase gets any less annoying and the songs don't get stupider etc etc. everything and nothing ever changes with this band at the same time. they get older, but habits still stay and never leave.

i think the new songs for the most part are passable but aren't really "parx songs" in the classic sense meaning "playful, but with some serious passion entwined in it that really gets you hooked". it just feels really edgy yet somehow generic when he tries to push some of these sex lyrics in and it just feels awkward especially coming from him of all people. and the complaining songs (as i call them) about shit he always complains about (fans, music critics, being a d list internet celebrity at best) is so fucking tired and also some of the things he complains about are usually his fault and something he can stop.

i do think they want to keep growing and making music but i also feel like they're trying to convince themselves that they are in the first place bc things just don't flow the same anymore especially now that they don't even all live in the same place. i don't think they're sticking to whatever plan awsten had in his head for this album from the looks of it bc i have a feeling it's been reworked a lot and he's kind of stalling its official announcement to rework it in the first place.

as of taking a break, while that is a good idea and you know they probably won't anyways, have you seen awsten? he barely takes breaks and even when he says he does, it just means he's lurking without saying anything because he doesn't wanna say shit. he legit has not taken a real break since goddamn 2010 because even after he finishes something, he's always onto something else. in fact, i'm pretty sure the only reason there's such big gaps between the eps was just to gather the resources and promo they needed to record them in the first place bc they're always making some shit no matter what. i don't trust him to take a break even if they're burned out bc he'll always have something to say and write as stupid as he manages it.

it's ironic you use the term experimentation considering they're really just relapsing into that modern distilled pop punk sound when their last album was experimental one. i feel like if awsten's trying to go mainstream on the radio, let him; it won't necessarily mean it's the best they've put out. and awsten never knows when enough's enough; he'll take things too far every time (love, internet jokes, etc etc) and won't jump back until he stops posting (only for a little while of course and he'll still lurk himself in that time) and come back so that everyone tells him they love him and he'll believe it until he takes things too far again and the cycle repeats like it always does - iz

• although you can't really "feel" him, you'll for sure feel that air pressure on you when he's being affectionate—which is basically a lot of the time.

• he was heavy on touch even before you two were a thing, but now that you're actually dating, it just heightens by 100%. he's developed this strong attachment to you that he's gonna cling to you both subconsciously and instinctively.

• very overwhelming at first tbh.

• when he's scared, he'll immediately wrap himself around your body snake-style. sad? he's going to latch on to you, begging to be held. even if there's nothing to trigger a reaction from him, expect him to frequently place his ghostly hands on your shoulders, place his arm around your shoulder, or wrap his arm around your waist. that, and he's a huge cuddle bug.

• even more ironically enough, bby's got a strong case of being touch-starved too! thing is, despite him not outwardly saying it (and him just not being aware of it) he's more in tune with how he feels about you that he bears no shame in being overly affectionate.

• the same can't be said for you tho 😭💀

• he's doesn't really pay much mind to other ppl's body language most of the time. key word here: most.

• he'll gradually start to notice how you tense up whenever he hugs you/clings on to you and he will say something about it—all in good nature ofc!

• he's gonna crack a joke about how it feels like he's hugging a wooden plank, and honestly? his heart sinks a little, but that part he refuses to say aloud. he'll ask you about it, but as you do your best to explain/defend yourself, the rising heat in your face does not go unnoticed.

• he may be an airhead, but when it clicks, it CLICKS.

• suddenly, any shred of doubt he had in his mind has vanished. mans knows what's up and he's going to give you that signature cheeky look of his.

• you can deny it all you want, but bbys caught you red-handed!

• accepting physical affection is gonna be quite the process, especially when your love is the billy joe cobra.

• if you need time to adjust, he's gonna try to dial it down, but as mentioned earlier—touching you is an instinct. it's hard for him, but he genuinely does try. he'll chuckle out a small "sorry" to compensate tho <3

• if you're the type to accept his affection early on, but refuse to admit the fact that you actually crave his touch, well lemme ask you this: do you have any idea of what you've just signed yourself up for?

• he's got to admit tho, the feeling of you melting into his "touch" is pure bliss. his ego shoots through the roof and this could end in either one of two ways: [1] he'll nuzzle himself closer to you and soak the moment in or [2] he'll be the little shit he is and go all "oh you sooo've got a thing for me" as if he wasn't the one who's head over heels for you rn.

• needless to say, he thrives off your reactions.

• and when he's feeling overly affectionate? he's gonna be the type to drag lure you away from whatever it was that you were doing (preferably to a couch or a bed), smooch your forehead and hold you close. if you're the type to get flustered or grumble at the sudden affection, it will not matter. nothing is going to stop him from snuggling the hell out of you. he'll do this thing where he'll lovingly sigh before letting out a smug "sorry, not sorry."
