"okay, okay! just—" the kisses continued unabated until you were able to catch your breath and pull away slightly. billy pursed his lips, eyes fixed rather impatiently, but solely, on you.

the corners of his mouth pulled upward in a smile. his face was flushed, eyes alight with mirth. the arms around you slackened for a split second and without delay, billy planted a kiss on your lips. "that's more like it." he smiled triumphantly as he swooped back in to give you another, this one a little longer—greedy beyond imagination.

"hey," you muttered softly as you pulled back from the kiss, his lips comically chasing after your own. you stopped him with your palm across his chest before he could follow through on his impulse. he pouts when he sees the smirk on your face. you'll indulge him, you think to yourself, but first: "how was the tour, hotshot?"

his demeanor brightened. he grinned that goofy grin of his, his eyes fluttering shut before kissing you again—one last time. "well, since you're dying to know..."

• he's got a surprising knack for pickin' up on things while he's on tour (such as that time where he developed those killer chopstick skills). this time around, he's gotten to travel to some cold climates and after finding out what the whole fuss around ice skating was abt, he's definitely gonna wanna skate with you once he's back home.

• inform him that you've never ice skated before/weren't exactly the type to keep steady on your feet and omfg he's gonna get such a kick out of the thought that he's going to impress you with his "rad" skills 🥴

• renting a skating rink for the day is simple. getting ready and putting your guys' skates on? quick and easy! but after that?? you don't even have time to process wtf you're doing when billy practically drags you to the rink, your legs wobbling all over the place as you try to keep up with him. sure, his excitement is very endearing, but bro chill, PLEASE!!

• the second you step foot into the rink, it's game over.

• billy gets a little too carried away with wanting to show off that he immediately forgets to grab a hold of you.

• contrary to ghost!billy, alive!billy is extremely unfamiliar with what's it's like to be abandoned. there will be a bit of a disconnect when it comes to empathizing with you, but don't let that steer you away from the fact that he DOES indeed care.

• tell him about your past and the cobra will be mad and sad for you all at once. he never really thought about it before, but being left behind by the people you thought cherished you sounds beyond terrifying to him and he can only imagine what you must feel.

• he's quick to tell you that you're 100x more than whatever those bozos were and assures you that he would never do the same thing they did. he means what he says, but sometimes, his words end up sounding a little more harsh than what he originally intended to get across.

"they were total d-bags anyway! if anything, it's good they left y—!"

• and there he goes, seemingly missing the point entirely. (we do not phrase the second half like that 💀)

• he knows he's screwed up once you look at him with a pained look in your eye and he immediately tries to backtrack and fix his mess-up.

• then, he's at a loss for words and doesn't really know what to say. he honestly feels really guilty and he can only sit next to you as none of you utter a thing.

• leave it to the cobra to get you and him back on your feet though! if there's anything he despises more, it's pessimism and gloom, especially when he's the one being a major kill-joy.

• that being said, billy places a firm—and a tad heavy—hand on your shoulder which catches you off guard. turn your head and you'll be faced with a beaming smile (it's blinding, even!)

"hey, i know just what you need." your silence prompts him to continue. "confidence!"

• there he goes again, and atp, you're inclined to think he's not taking this seriously. you're more than ready to leave until he stands right in front of you, preventing you from going anywhere.

"c'mooon. look, you gotta recognize your own worth. show em all what you're made of! trust me, the cobra sees it in you. we just gotta get you to see it. now you're gonna need a shot of it—a lot of it actually. lucky for you, doctor billy is in!"

• and just like that, billy will take the 'love yourself' concept to extreme mode! he's gonna be super supportive <3

• any form of self-deprecation from you will be met with opposition, STAT. mf is going to be your no.1 hypeman fr!

• surprisingly, jammin' out to his music is a huge help and is something he loves to initiate! he loves doing this thing where he strums his guitar and has you repeating lyrics after him (many of them on the spot, specifically made for you). the fact that most of his songs are in first person gives you the chance to insert yourself into the music. plus, it gets you to smile!

• will spoil you rotten, regardless of what you say. for crying out loud, you're tight with the b joe co! it takes a special kind of person for that and he's only gonna want high level stuff for you!

• distancing yourself will be very difficult. wherever you go, he goes (unless his stardom doesn't allow for it like when he's on tour).

• it's at times like these where you're more likely to overthink, but rest assured, billy plans on keeping a stable connection with you through call!

• act differently around him in the hopes that he sticks around longer and he WILL notice and WILL call you out on it. this isn't you and he's not gonna wanna play dumb. he won't just "stick" around—he doesn't like it when you put it that way—and he'll clarify that he just likes being with you, the real you.

• for as much as billy gets sidetracked with other things, he genuinely does care about you and feels terrible when he realizes that he’s been getting too carried away with stuff. out of everything, you’re one of the only constants in his life and he is willing to pull out every trick in the book to help you feel less alone and loved <3

• if you need words of affirmation, he'll do it in a heartbeat, but he does get kind of hurt that you would ever think that way of him—that he'd leave ever you. throughout his life he's been a dick, sure, and he still may be a jackass, but ever since you came along, you've influenced him for the better, which is something you may not always realize.

"i'm better than that! you know that... right?"

• it's hard trusting someone's word when you've had such a rough history, but take a bit to search for any shred of doubt in his eyes and you'll only be met with sincerity. realize that this is good for you, that you're not alone in the healing process. after that? crack a smile, whatever the size, and affirm it. you're not where you stood back then, things are better.

It's not a request, I just came to tell you that I love your headcanons! <33 It's great to see something about Billy again after so long.

Honestly, if I have to say anything, it's that Dtmg was a series that had the potential for a good plot! The writers had the opportunity to give us a mystery and clues about the world of ghosts and what could have happened to Billy, but they only gave us chapters with absurd plots that only entertain thanks to Billy's charming and narcissistic personality. I know this series has been canceled for years now... but it still leaves me unsatisfied, I need answers but I only end up getting more unresolved questions :/

Anyway, it was just a simple opinion that I wanted to express since I agree with you on many things about this show (The amount of theories and headcanons I have about Billy and his family is starting to worry me...)

• for the former [1]: not once does it feel like billy loves you any less than he should. sure, he may be the world's no.1 heartthrob, but trust me, if anyone makes his heart beat a trillion times a minute, it's you.

• his manager and the rest of his team abhor it and are totally against the idea of billy having a relationship that's anything but a PR stunt, so imagine their faces when the cobra, out of nowhere, announced that he was dating someone? and that they weren’t a celebrity??

• ffs, they’re all about to have a stroke and billy's just grinning, all toothy n' shit 😭

• a major part of their entire careers depend on him being single, so they'll go on to do whatever it takes to keep you two a secret.

• easier said than done bc even though they'll never say a word, billy cannot for the life of him keep a secret, ERGO? he's going to be watched 24/7. mf has been this 🤏 close to spilling the beans. it's a miracle the public remains unaware.

• sneaking in to his mansion is a struggle on its own, but once you're there, it's smooth sailings and you two are free to do whatever you desire. outdoor dates aren't as common, but you both try to make the best out of the situation in his mansion. it's ginormous as it is, but billy insists on adding more rooms to it just for you.

• remember his pet crocodile, wendy? i love the theory that he never even had a crocodile, but a dwarf caiman (scientific name: p. palpeBROsus) as supported by the details in the ep 'where's wendy'. bby's a dumbass, but honestly, i can’t blame him on this one. imagine he just walks up to you, holding this wild animal like some newborn child, and is all, "hey babe, check it! isn't my princess just adorable? goochie-goochie goo! yes you are. yes you are!"

• your reaction aside, say hello to 'croco'-parenthood (wendy loves you btw!)

• it's canon that he rarely called people by their own name when he was a star, and i hc that billy uses your name more than he does petnames. the occasional 'babe' is used, but other than that, it's your name. he, on the other hand, loves being called petnames! throw in his real name when you two are having a moment and mf becomes all putty in your hands <3

• regardless of your status, it's nothing but the best for bjc's s/o! i hc that alive!billy is big on gift-giving. being financially smart is not in his vocabulary (hes got people for that!) and he has a habit of getting you the randomest shit you ever seen and things you never even knew existed.

• songs about you galore! he's still a narcissist and it's evident in his songs, but take a closer inspection at some of his newer lyrics and you'd see that something's shifted. the double meanings teasingly poke at the surface!

• for as much as his manager complains about your relationship, mf doubles down and he doubles down HARD. there's no way he's ever going to break up with you. his manager can suck it and he literally pulls the good old, "fine! i guess i'll just find some other manager who—" and say less 'cause that'll do it.

• he's a dick to the ppl he works with (intentionally or not; refer to episode 14's Let's Do Lunch) and the only one who can knock some sense into him is you, which makes part of the team grow fond of you.

• billy will still have to participate in some PR stunts with other celebrities. you tease him about it, and there'll be times when he'll also be in on the teasing to get a reaction from you, but jokes aside, he's there to remind you that it's all for show and that none of that is real. he will definitely make it up to you via vigorous attacks of hugs and kisses.

• because of this secrecy (and your daily work/academic schedule), you're sometimes not allowed to go on tours with the cobra, but god save the ppl on his tour bus bc he will be on call with you hours upon hours chatting up a storm. he takes his phone everywhere he goes until it's time to actually perform. 

• if his concert is being broadcasted, he's for sure going to do that thing where he looks straight into the main camera when he sings bits of his songs. he's done that before, but it just intensifies now that he's with you.

• all in all, it's a sweet relationship and he's keen on bringing you back little souvenirs from his tours! (mainly bjc merch but still, sweet nonetheless!)

• as for the latter [2]: mostly the same as the above, but billy will NOT hesitate to show you off the second he gets the chance 💀 say g’bye to the ordinary life!

• news channels, forums, the fans, the WORLD—everything is in utter chaos at the revelation. does he care? not at all! if anything, the attention he's receiving from it gives him life!! within days, you two automatically become the official sweethearts of beverly heights.

• pda all the way (only if you're cool with it babes, no pressure! ) and this guy will never not be seen in public without holding your hand, having your/his arm around his/your waist, or having either of your hands in each other's back pocket. you two are THAT kind of couple.

• as with any celebrity relationship, there's bound to be threats sent your way. billy's unaware that stuff like this even happens, but when he is made aware, he's gonna be devastated.

• his groupies (i.e. those three lovely ladies, you know em!) are a handful of the ones to actually warm up to you and will hype up your relationship through and through <3

• why are you treating him like some d-listed average joe? he’s the billy joe cobra!! why aren't you quick to obsess over him? shouldn't you be squealing, fanning yourself, literally be on your KNEES for him?! he doesn't get it, he's definitely put off by your sincerity, and he takes it personally.

• he's not used to this level of 'genuine', and although he displays somewhat of a grumpy demeanor around you, he gradually grows to appreciate you immensely.

• case in point: he gets into a spat with his bro spence, gets deeply upset by it and NEEDS someone to talk to. rajeev? he's more focused on solving his friends' squabbles than hearing out what bjc's got to say—something that the cobra catches on to pretty quick. shanilla? she's as sweet as ever, but her little bias towards brometheus is still very much evident. we never vent to kids y’all. and so, he goes to his last resort: you.

• you do. you're there to assure him of his doubts and underlying fears, you let him know his feelings are valid, and most importantly (much to his surprise) you don't overly coddle him. it comes as a surprise to billy because never before had he felt so heard. you treat him in a way that's foreign and different. its a good kind of different though!

• as soon as you offer the dude a hug, mans literally bursts into tears and crashes into you. its been settled. you’re his comfort person! from that point on, sweet bby actively wants to be near you for as much as he can ♡

• he respects your input and appreciates your honesty (despite him being a giant pissbaby when it comes to something he disagrees with) and absolutely adores how considerate you are with almost everything you do!

• you make some lunch and set some aside just for him? he's over the moon!! bonus points if it’s one of his favs!

• he doesn't like sharing his munchies, but you're an exception. a bit. relish it!

• adores when you visit the mansion! you're very mindful of his and his fam's possessions and he's at ease knowing that you're not the kind to touch and toy with his things without consent like some of his fans used to do (he loves them, he loves the attention, but there are lines that just cant be crossed!)

• his trust in you is high, maybe even foolishly so.

• doesn't mean you guys can't fool around with some of his stuff! in fact, he encourages you to partake in some hijinks with him. whether it be pulling pranks on the wright family or making a mess of the tiki room, he's all down to do fun shit with you!

• having some down time and just chillin' is also something he likes to indulge in. it feels great to just unwind, watch reality tv and laze around without having anything to prove to anyone. it's just you and him (and spencer, occasionally) and it's moments like these which he subconsciously cherishes.

• he gets a boost of serotonin when you partake in his hobbies, even if it's something you wouldn't necessarily like. going to taste-testing events, going on a shopping spree, bonsai trimming, pottery—he appreciates your efforts and is more than willing to do the same for you (even if the loveable jackass complains along the way, he could never say no to you!)

• tldr; unlike his past relationships (be it romantic or platonic) you don't take advantage of him and it really does him some good. you’re there for him at his most vulnerable and he gradually learns to bear no shame in expressing how he really feels about himself and the life he lived. you’re part of what makes him realize that fame doesn't define him and little by little he starts to gain a new sense of self confidence. it's a love so soft that he most definitely deserves!
