Hey. i've been working on some things and wanted to send this.
Have you washed your epidermis, and are the soap(s) you use effective/non-irritant? Run a vacuum over the carpetting of your room? Run a wettened cloth over shelves to reduce the dust/bacteria? Washed the dishes you used today? Air-ed out the smell from your clothes, dusted the sweatstains/your armpits with baking soda? Done the dental hygiene? Hydrated (fresher breath), gotten your micronutrients? Stretched/physical activity? Played a fun show on the TV (yo gabba gabba on roku)? Gone to the library with your Mom or someone else? Found an article to send to your Mom/asked if that's something she might like? Found a self-esteem/mental-health specialist whose communication style you vibe with?
Sometimes we forget to care for ourselves (when we feel especially down or out of sorts.)

I want to apologize for taking this long to respond, as I don't regularly get asks!
That being said, to answer each of your questions one by one,
-yes I have. Within the cold winter months, my skin is very prone to drying out and breaking out however I use Native brand body wash and it helps a TON! I also use it for my hair and it works very well. Very much recommend. And also moisturizing regularly. I think some people could benefit from lotioning their whole body after a shower, especially if their skin is very sensitive/dries out. Sometimes it's not the soap itself, just the lack of oils!
-i do not have very much carpet, however you did remind me to sweep today so thank you! Pet hair is WILD.
-i very much did wipe down my shelves, as well as some tables and counters, something I've been putting off because I'm just a little bit of a procrastinator.
-I did a load of dishes today!! Usually it is something I struggle with due to my muscles and joints in my hands, but today I was able to and I am proud.
-honestly, I have never thought of doing that before. Will have to keep that in mind! Thank you for the idea.
-i am very proud to say that I am about two weeks into brushing my teeth every single day. Sometimes I even do it in the shower when my legs decide they're on limited warranty. It's helped quite a lot, actually.
-thankfully my mom keeps us very well stocked with bottled water so I never forget to go without(thanks, Mom!) I actually tend to prefer it now that we have a ready supply.
-been trying to add more protein and fats to my diet lately and be more mindful of other things, so yes! I have more energy than I used to as well as growing stronger muscles^^
-I'm not really one for TV shows, however when i do, I usually watch them with my little sibling. Our current favorites are Adventure Time and The Amazing World Of Gumball. I think they're very impressive(TAWOG for the multimedia style, and AT for its ability to create complex characters that I enjoy)
-i haven't been to a physical library in quite a while but I've taken up meditation! It's something my Mom has been very dead set on me trying for a while and I finally caved and she's been kind enough to lend me her Teal Swan account. It's helped somewhat, I think. Besides it's nice to have some sort of "ritual" before bed.
-My mom and I differ very much on what we find entertaining/enjoyable so I actually don't know on that. I have however, made her a very super secret Valentine's Day gift that I hope she'll love. (It's heart shaped earrings. I make them by hand and she's been very thrilled by me and my little sibling's craftsmanship when making jewelry, insisting we make her bracelets from our extensive supply from Christmas)
-I will say that I prefer things very direct, but I also like to feel like I am listened to. So anyone who embodies those two aspects are very much wins in my book.

ooooo, ok. so ravenclaw barty (bc im starting with the question). I honestly like it. I feel like he's both sytherin and ravenclaw (like me) and i honestly like him in both houses. ig sytherin is a little better for him but honestly i still like him in both. idk why it just feels kinda right?? (and he still gets cute moments with evan in both houses so i cool with both lol)
hmmmm... a headcanon of mine..... i'm gonna stick to the marauders fandom bc why not. one of my fav headcanons is just soft reggie. like just for james. he's srsly so adorable and he loves to cuddle with his bf (even tho he's to embarrassed to ask at first so james just kinda pulls him into a hug/kiss every time he senses reg doesn't wanna ask and reg gets all flustered. he does get comfortable with it eventually tho). another one of my fav headcanons is abt wolfstar. I feel like siri is the one who stays with rem after every full and they just snuggle and enjoy each other. even before they get together (rem is so scared of ruining everything by confessing so he just holds it in bc he just loves siri so fucking much that it physically hurts him to even think of losing him.) anyways one day after the full they're chilling on rem's bed and siri just whispers i love you bc he needs to say it and they both just freeze. siri apologizes over and over and rem is just kinda stuck on the fact that siri actually said i love you?? to him?? and then he registers that sirius is crying so he just kisses him before he can think abt it. it ends well ofc. my day was pretty good actually! i hung out a friend's house (i haven't seen the friend in a while so it was cool to see them again) for a while so that was nice. although the misgendering was kinda annoying.... im doing meh. im rly anxious abt my upcoming presentation and also everything i've gotta do but i'm ok rn. how r u? ur day honestly sounds nice (i love lazy days so i may be biased lmao). I hope it was nice to have a relaxing-ish day tho.

I finally got all of my Crab Con orders!!! I haven't used anything yet bc I wanted to get a full pic of everything together.
Included most of the individual order pics as well, for close ups that are easier to see.
Pic 1 - full haul! Yes, I went overboard. I couldn't help it, we have an amazing seller group!
Pic 2 - EarthWaterFire Studio, Mary's store. Blue Mango is new, but everything else are reorders my crabs love. Plus some free samples! I couldn't add the pic, but I also got a couple beautiful dishes & some deer poop from her.
Pic 3 - Crab Cuisine Co, first time ordering! But I did win a free prize from her that the crabs loved. I got some cookies for enrichment toys, and some oils bc I need to get better at giving them more fat options in their diet. It's super important for molting! (Also, best free sticker)
Pic 4 - My Hungry Hermit, first time ordering. Got an awesome book that contains a ton of info on safe and unsafe foods, based on LHCOS's science-backed information. The shop owner is one of the people who have been helping with putting together a new database for the group! Also got burning bush leaves, bc crabs adore them for some reason, and a really cute mirror to add to their tank for enrichment.
Pic 5 - A Little Crabby Co-Op! Savanah is super sweet & did a really nice session on 3D printing during the Con. I'm finally gonna give my printer another try, with her help! This is why I love our seller group, everyone is super supportive. I got some "toe dipper" ramps for my pools, and shell opening measuring rings.
Pic 6 - South of the Ocean, first time ordering. They have some really neat foraged stuff, I hope some pheasant feathers & oak buds. Apparently their Better Than Leaf Litter is a huge hit with crabs too, so I'm excited to see what mine think. Also got a nice lichen heavy stick & some bunny poop!
Pic 7 - MT Pet Emporium, first time ordering. They have a lot of unique proteins and whole items that are great variety for enrichment. I'm excited to get one of the fish heads into my tank. 😂 The barnacles are bigger than I expected too, I haven't decided whether to put them on the sand or in my salt pool.
Pic 8 - BioactiveFX, one of my favorite stores!! Courtney has a degree in animal nutrition & is doing a lot of work to get proper foods available in multiple places for people to have access to. She really wants to get them into pet stores too someday. She also sells fantastic cholla & cork bark. I have a bunch of cork but got a flat with a bunch of lichens for my crabs to nibble on. Also got some moss, lichens, lotus seed pods (the enrichment possibilities!!!!), and stocked up on a bunch of dunaliella salina, an orange algae that my crabs think is the Best Thing Ever. Doesn't matter how big the pile is, it's gone in the morning. Also important to mention wild burro poop, which is new. Yes, I bought a lot of poop, okay, Hagrid is gross & loves it. 😂😂
Pic 9 - Just 2 Old Crabs, another favorite food shop! She cooks and dries all the stinky stuff so we don't have to! 😂 I already have a ton of her food and the crabs devour it. Excited to have a bunch of fresh stuff for them! I've been feeding a ton of last year's food to finish it up so I can set up all the fresh stuff I got this year. They're gonna eat so well!
Pic 10 - First time ordering from Hermit Grub, their foods look gorgeous! Excited to see what my crabs think. They have a VERY well stocked pantry now.
Not shown individually (pic limit) - Coenobita Curiosities, they sell the original curiosity cubes! There's multiple shops on etsy that have taken the idea from them, so make sure you buy from the right shop. They send their cubes out with delicious popcorn to use in them, a sure way to get your crabs checking out their new toy. I got a bridge as well, for my beach topper.
Not shown individually - I also got some Java moss & duckweed from Josh's Frogs, along with a couple bromeliads & a couple spider plants to try in the tank. I need to get them taken care of today, they're still waiting... 😬

Had a great start yesterday but got stuck when my boss sent me and URGENT request as I was trying to take my lunch break.

I ended up going to lunch over an hour late by the time I left. I was super super starving/ ravenous, and I ended up eating more than I had planned.
I made croxk pot taco meat with:
one pound of ground beef
2 cans of rotel
some onions
bag of broccoli slaw
taco seasoning
I added the broccoli slaw because: I'm going to be the only one eating it!

As such I can add whatever I want!
Broccoli slaw makes it more volumous for a significantly lower calorie count than using 2 pounds of ground beef. I obviously don't mind veggies at all.
That was good!
I had 4 little tacos with the little Mr. Carb tortilla taco shells, I had a taco bowl that I used as dip with some quest protein chips, so that was all good.
Then my sister called and we were visiting. THIS IS WHERE I WENT AWRY.

I plowed through a fiber one brownie or 2, a fiber 1 cookie, some kodiak bear Graham crackers and cool whip.
(Sigh)
It was just kind of a free-for-all; I don't even know what happened.
Went over my lunch talking with my sister by an hour or so.

My next meal was a snack pack from Walmart. Pretty good-it was A little turkey stick, a cheese stick, some carrots and some broccoli with ranch.
I took my tea with me to my meeting.
Went to dinner for one of the persons birthdays. I was really looking forward to this dinner but I overate. I had way more chips and salsa than I needed and I was very nervous/stress eating. Ugg.
I am trying really hard to make some new friends, or more close friends. I realize that the loss of my close friendship with the gal who is now living with my ex wife left a big hole. (Like she was my best younger friend and we would do a lot of stuff together, Including dinners, concerts and weekends away).
I'm scared that I have left myself in a social wasteland. *IF* my relationship with my girlfriend ends, I will be absolutely socially devastated.
I visited with my other best friend on the phone after raising home from dinner. I had told her about the weight regain --going from 243 now backup to 252-257.
She took a beat and asked "What can I do," and it broke my heart.
The thing is: I don't know.
I don't know what YOU can do; I don't know what I was doing that was making me so successful in the 1st place! I've been at this for so MFN long--I've been exercising for so long, I've been dieting for so LONG!
What was the magic key that helped me drop that weight earlier this year????
Yes I understand that not drinking alcohol anymore is probably part of it.
I am continuing to not drink until I lose more weight.
I don't know what else is part of the mix.
I do not want to regain this weight.
I actually need to physically lose probably another 50, 70, 100 pounds, Depending on what my muscle mass is. (Not really worried about it until I get closer to the finish line, to see where my muscle mass is at that point-- but I mean I could be done in 50 to 60 pounds if I have enough muscle mass)
That brings me to today and the stupid things that I do while I'm at work.
I ordered a dr Westin's weight loss bundle which I am currently now regretting.
I literally purchased it like less than an hour ago, and I am deep on the REGERTS stage.
It looked good but then I went into the "how to eat guide" and it's basically all the things that I try to stop doing over a year ago.
Low carb, fasting & lots of supplementation.
It looks like you need to order so many more supplements than what actually comes in the weight loss bundle. It was already over $200!!! AND I didn't get to apply my coupon, so that was 20% that I didn't expect to spend. Would have been $40. Saved.
Yes, so yeah stupid things I do. UGGGGHHH.
But here's some things I did figure out this morning: I can probably take twice as much glucomanan as I have been taking, or close to it.
it looks like up to 9 g a day is shown to be clinically safe.
I need to buy more of that stuff.
What else?
I am eating the plainest meal I've had in a while.
3 eggs and some egg whites.
My eggs didn't have any hardly any egg whites! I added egg whites--so I have no idea how much this meal is so, it's anywhere from 210 to 300 calories. I'm guessing!
I didn't measure the egg whites; I just added them to the Pan.
( I am still working so I am trying to get fed while I'm still at work because I need to go vote today).

Back from spending time in Seoul for a week with C and her friends and I must say I'm very impressed with the city and am so glad that I made the trip with them. The city had great energy that did feel a bit different from the rest of the cities that I've been to. Everything also felt a bit more dispersed than say Tokyo/Osaka so there was a sense that places felt a lot less crowded. I think what I enjoyed most was that every other shop had mini art installations in addition to the retail space, and it felt so creative and refreshing -- as if they did not care simply about sales or efficiency but also prioritising art and expression. That was really nice to experience, and it was completely different from when I was there 8 years ago. The difference in weather might have played a part but I really enjoyed the chilly climate, though the dryness not so much. Not only was it a nice trip personally but it was also a great one with C and we both agreed that it was helpful for our relationship. I also learned plenty about her coping mechanism and how best we can both manage down/away potential conflicts and try to disengage our hotheadedness. There's still a long way to go in becoming the best partner to C that I can be but I think I've made good progress, and just need to remind myself to be as kind and patient as I can be. Overall a really nice break after a few trips overseas that didn't exceptionally felt like one
Next up would be a June trip with my mum and her sibs and I do really want to make it one that she enjoys and have a good time
Beyond that, for the next couple months, I'll probs be mostly occupied with trying to plan for the proposal -- lots to do with the video, location and ring to finalise so best need to stay focused and discipline, let's go mate! Good progress so far and everything's on track -- so far so good
Fitness/skincare-wise I also think I'm doing okay, but I should look after my diet a little more (in terms of watching daily caloric intake and limiting needless junk food), but I still want to give myself some wriggle room on the weekends. Got to take my vitamins more religiously as well and to up my protein consumption
Not much else to add here but as we're ramping up for the biggest rebalances in May/Jun, time to power through and attempt to bring my work game to the next level. Always keep reaching for higher and staying hungry. I can feel the team trying their best in managing me and I ought to give try to give more. Because I know I have it in me to make it. Take nothing for granted and never settle dude. I need to take advantage of this positive momentum
Just want to leave a little note here that the next post, I'd want to devote some lines to pursuing my hobbies -- which at the moment are film and fashion (?) / or maybe just dressing a bit better than I have been
