A/N: These types are au's are what I like to read after a stressful day.

Coffeeshop!Kaeya is the first guy you see after you come in. He always greets new custumers and is happy to give new ones a little tour of the café. It's no different with you, a warm smile is the first and last thing you see upon entering and leaving, and if he's feeling like treating you really special he will also draw a little heart on your cup, and a winky face, with an eyepatch.

Coffeeshop!Diluc is always busy behind the counter but he always has time to his best customer , that especially includes you. He always seems busy when you come in but he already has your order memorized by now so he can bring it to your table no problem. There are other people who can do it for him but he really likes talking to you. He's not very keen on dating just yet but he's happy to have a snack in your company if you'd have him when he's on break.

Coffeeshop!Itto always carries around large boxes in and out of the café, and is the helping hand most of the time. He's also a pretty good waiter because he has a lot of people skills and can lighten the mood quite easily. It's what first drew you to him, and to the café because of him. He hovers around your table a little bit longer then the others and you can see him flexing his muscles under his tight shirt whenever he picks anything up, even though it weighs nothing to him.

Coffeeshop!Thoma is always running around the place helping whoever he needs to. He's rarely ever still and when he is he's keeping an eye out for any little things that need doing. The first time he really stopped dead in his tracks was when you walked in for the first time. He moved towards you immediately and asked to take your order without you even walking up to the counter. It was a little embarrassing for him but at least he knew he made an impression on you. A cute one.

Coffeeshop!Childe got burned a few times while making coffee because he's always in a rush to get the orders out. Luckily he never spilled any while delivering it. He's a big flirt, which you noticed right away, and he hasn't stopped complimenting you. But he did stop complimenting others when you're in there. He always leaves you cute messages on your cup or on the napkin. In fact it was his way of asking you out, writing it on the cup while handing it to you. You still have it.

Coffeeshop!Pantalone almost manages the place by himself. He's a little strict with newer people but ever without a good reason. Even though he's not really the boss he has the respect of everyone in the café. He always has an air of no nonsense and professionalism, which some have said tampers with the cozy atmosphere but you find it really charming, especially when he talks to you, always so polite, yet his eyes always seem like they're hiding something.

Coffeeshop!Kaveh suspects one of two things, either you're a caffeine addict, or you're there for him, because you're always there during his shifts. Now he doesn't exactly mind having a pretty face to look at while he's making you an order but he would appreciate you not distracting him while he does so. He can't break another cup, it's gonna be deducted from his pay. Again. You can smile at him all you want, but when your fingers touch his he always has the urge to drop the cup and take your hand instead. So please, just wait for him to set it down on the table.

Coffeeshop!Al-Haitham finds it hard to focus on anyone but you when you're in the café. It's not that has a one track mind, he can work on many things at once but he has noticed that when ever you're around he tends to make some mistakes with his orders. So when he notices you walking towards the café he tries to hurry up with the orders he currently has, that way he can concentrate on you properly and know that he won't be messing anything up.

Coffeeshop!Zhongli always gets a small smile when you walk in, setting the clean cup to the side and waiting for you to approach him, already knowing your order by heart but loving the sound of your voice. He never gets frustrated, even when the café is full of people to serve and he always spares you a glance on the way back. He's polite to everyone but especially to you, and one time when you were the only one left in the café and he noticed you were leaving he helped you pack up and kissed your hand while holding the door open for you. The café officially became your favorite after that if it wasn't already.

on an unrelated note, I wanted to ask: does anyone have any tumblr themes or ways to make posts chronological? We have roughly 150 episodes of UtahLIVE, and although most of them can be read out of order, there is a timeline (plus it would be more convenient for new readers. Ive gotten a lot of asks about topics or scenarios that have already been answered). If there are any tutorials/themes/tips let me know via DMs or ask box!

Im probably gonna hold off on sharing my other accounts for a few reasons (there might be some people who already know my other blogs which is fine idc welcome to my twisted mind etc im just not going to advertise them here). My main blog is basically a spam blog where I dont tag anything. I dont really post original art and my fandom art is few and far between. 90% of my work just goes in discord DMs or servers 💀 I think the main reason though-and this may or may not make sense to some of you-is that I don’t want your opinion of me to change how you view the story. This is a super specific example, but for all my fic readers out there: have you ever joined an authors server, and then after meeting them you feel a bit odd about the fic since the creator isnt exactly the person you thought them to be (not necessarily in a good or bad way)? That’s exactly what I don’t want happening with this blog. Basically: Nooo what if you find out about me as a person and realize im cringeeee aaaaa [image of the werewolf transformation (you know the one)] That being said, we’ll see how things go, I guess! At the very least, I’ll probably put my socials out when I’m done here (we got a ways to go before that happens though, so dont even start to worry about that) that was a lot of text for one answer. yeesh 😬 sorry about that

i will do my best!!! it will be under the cut for length!! HEED TAGS SERIOUSLY THIS IS SUPER LONG. ITS FROM LATE NOVEMBER TO NOW. ITS SO LONG. PLEASE.

NOV 24-29: okay so! after Minsk got arrested, CD stayed with their dad for a while, since their dad found out how their face got burned and he did a skin grafting surgery on their wound. CD is scared of catmons after this. While CD is in surgery and recovering, their dad (Atley Deo) takes over the account briefly (his tag is #pater plantarum). He is the head of Deo horticulture, a plant based business. Auzi owes Atley a blood debt. Atley asks about service mon and everyone and their mother suggests a smeargle. It is revealed that CD's mother and Atleys wife died in childbirth. Joltiks boyfriend breaks up with them while CD is out. When they come back they are very woozy.

NOV 30-DEC 1: CD decides to adopt an eevee egg from @/allthatglitterzz, and they receive a smeargle service mon to monitor their heart "arrythmia" , lovingly named Stencil. nobody thinks its an actual arrythmia and also people are even more theorizing that he is a plant. Speaking of that arrythmia, CD has a heart attack while home alone, and Stencil calls Joltik instead of their dad to come help. Their heart had stopped entirely, but a zap from Tik sets it back going again. Joltik calls CD's dad, and then leaves before Atley comes home.

DEC 2-DEC 6 : The eevee egg hatches! She is a beautiful baby girl and her name is Porridge, Pidge for short. CD is diagnosed with the TIsm for plant identification reasons /joke. CD and Joltik watch a lot of competition reality tv shows.

DEC 7-DEC 8: Nothing really important happens

DEC 9- DEC 15 : Joltik asks CD to catch them in a pokeball. CD keeps buying candles and they keep going missing, much to their annoyance. CD catches Joltik and it goes poorly, Joltik gets a bit messed up because of it. His candles continue to go missing, people begin to theorize about litwik. A new problem arises: a resident with a mightyena that is hopped up on X attack is roaming campus. DEC 16- : A candle appears on CD's windowsill, looking a lot like a litwick, although it has no flame. its merged into the windowsill and cannot be moved. It continues to amass more wax. CD names it Kerosene, after being hounded a bit by anons. DEC 17 -18 : Pidge briefly goes being, being found in Joltik's dorm. She knocks over a drawing filled with thunder stones and evolves into a Jolteon. Mightyena guy comes back, CD is on duty and patrols to chase him off. CD runs into him on patrol, and Pidge gets her ear torn off by the mightyena. CD goes offline, and Kerosene takes over the phone. It is implied that Kero evolved into a lanpent and consumes the mightyena to save CD. Kero uses a spirit box to communicate, saying that CD was at a pokecenter, and asking for help as she is lost. Joltik comes to find her. DEC 18 -23 Nothing overly important happens. CD accidentally helps Joltiks eevee Mint evolve into Umbreon.

DEC 23- 26: CD's dad finds out about the mightyena attack, and wants to assign CD a bodyguard which they think is stupid. their dad makes them stay home for a while. Tik comes to visit and watch shows while Atley is out. Atley comes back early, but isnt mad, just starts interrogating Tik a bit.

DEC 27-30 : Christmas present from dad!! It's a sprigatito named trowel!! Technically Juniper's first canon interaction with CD! @/sinnohstruggles

DEC 31: Lucretia Minsk escapes prison

JAN 1: the nuytsia project arc starts. should be tagged #the nuytsia project but is occasionally mispelled as #the nuystia project. Summary: joltik is infected by a parasite that makes them compulsed to protect and take care of CD, CD is revealed to be kept alive by a living plant inside them after being stillborn. Atley gains remote access of CD's phone for a brief takeover to try and explain why he did what he did. Atley then proceeds to let himself be taken to jail without struggle. CD is very very sad and distressed by the events of the arc. ARC OFFICIALLY ENDED JAN 8

JAN 9-12 : not a whole lot of importance here, cd gets sleepy and slow in the cold because plant. Juniper and CD start dating and they are cute lmao JAN 13-20 :CD's granparents get in contact, finally hearing that Atley is in jail. They attempt to get custody of CD, all of the pokemon, and all of Atley's assets. Atley did not get along well with his parents and a Lawyer will be in contact with CD, as they are being taken to court. CD quits their job as an RA and drops out of college due to stress from the oncoming court case. They begin lashing out a bit, because of the stress. CD has an argument with Juniper where Juniper attempts to help them but CD feels like they are being treated like a child. They throw the phone at the wall in frustration and Kero takes over the account. During the court case, CD has a heart attack due to the stress, and their grandparents use that to win the case, gaining custody over CD and all of Atley's assets.

JAN 21-22 : CD is taken to live with their grandparents. Their pokemon are taken from them, leaving them only with Stencil, Trowel, and Pidge (as well as Kerosene who is there secretly). CD is locked in their room at the grandparents house during this period, not allowed to leave. The house is cold and they feel slow and sick, not allowed plants or anything from home. They are fed food that makes them sick. CD begins sending audio messages to their friends, but they are short because they get in trouble when caught. It is revealed that the house is in Icirrus City. Kerosene evolved into a Chandelure in order to melt the window and get CD out of the house. JAN 23-FEB 1 : CD's phone is still broken, so they post audio recordings for a while. While in the Snowy forest, CD finds a eevee named Kiwi in a basket, who becomes very clingy and comes along with. It is revealed that CD has now been declared a missing person by their Grandparents. ALSO JUNIPER AND CD ACTUALLY STARTED DATING THE 28TH I FUCKED UP. Anons start hounding CD to go to moss rock because they think it will activate CD's latent plant powers. CD notably doesnt want Kiwi to evolve and gives kiwi 5 everstones. Kiwi dips once they get to pinwheel and loses all their everstones somehow, evolving into a leafeon, much to cds dismay. CD goes home very grumpy about this.

FEB 2- :Silvervine arc starts. should be tagged #silvervine arc. Summary: kiwi roots into cd, merging into them and making them a leafeon hybrid. minsk kidnaps CD, brainwashing/mindcontrolling them with her control over cat-mon. The hybridization merge makes CD have a rush of endorphins and dopamine to minimize the pain, giving them a floaty fuzzy feeling. cd helps minsk with some gardening ;3 lore is dropped, and CD escapes, fully hybridized, but still somewhat conditioned to listen to certain command phrases told to them by minsk, and feeling floaty fuzzy when they fall into leafeon instincts. THIS ARC ENDED FEB 5TH FEB 5th- Onward: Juniper went to a psych ward after stress from CD not wanting to see him post hybridization, he is still there. CD is briefly blocked by both tik and juniper. CD goes to live in lostlorn for a while. CD kinda breaks up with Juniper??? unclear. CD can now spead to cat mon and understand grass types. they meet a tropius named Yache who joins their team. CD lives with Juniper's pokemon team for a while before an argument happens and they leave again. now theyre kinda homeless! also! they turned into a leafeon for a few days and now they can kinda do that sometimes maybe work in progress I hope this was helpful!!!

How you’ve gone from delivering coffees on set to watching on the sidelines as people actually act out the lines you’ve written in a script sometimes just goes right over your head. Like you’re aware that this was obviously the end goal, this creational transfer, to see your words actually brought to life in a scene. It’s surreal and incredible and you’re also attempting not to look a gift-horse in the mouth because you’re aware that it could all go downhill at any moment. You’re not asking for the film to be some sort of blockbuster box-office success but…you’d like your parents to see it, Austin too? You’re going to be proud of it no matter how well it does because you’ve earned that.

But at the same time? You also want it to have every opportunity to be perfect…which is why you’re not sure if the lead actor is going to work for you.

You literally cannot believe you’re thinking about this again.

You’ve already run Austin down the very long conversational road on how when you were there with the casting director during auditions, everyone felt like they had found the perfect cast for the roles. But…the longer you watch this lead work with your script, the more you feel as if they’ve made some sort of mistake. You’re trying to give a little grace; Austin suggests you speak more with the actor and director on how to hone the character in your script but…something just doesn’t feel right.

Are you overreacting? Are you being too much of a perfectionist? There’s this headache pinching its way to your temples, a pounding in your ears as you pace slowly in front of your couch where Austin is. He’s sprawled out on the cushions, your cat on his lap, watching you walk back and forth as he pets between the feline’s ears,

“I mean, I feel like I’m losing my mind,” You continue, running a hand over your face. “I dunno what to do—it’s too late to get another lead, I mean, we’ve been shooting scenes Austin. So I’m just supposed to what,” You stop pacing and look down at him, gesturing with your hand, “grit my teeth and bare it?”

Austin takes a short breath in through his nose, “Look, first I just want you to stop puttin’ a hole in the floor.”

You look down at your feet and roll your eyes but there’s a hint of a smile tugging your lips. Fine, you’ll stop pacing.

“Second—trust the casting director and yourself. You obviously saw somethin’ in this actor when you saw him audition right? That’s how he got the part. Maybe there’s some sorta disconnect goin’ on now. He’ll get it.”

Sighing you nod your head a little—you know Austin is right. Maybe you’re just overdoing it? Once again so concerned with something to be perfect, no mistakes, that you can’t even enjoy the process. Just because things don’t feel right yet doesn’t mean they won’t ever be. You know that this lead role isn’t as consuming as what Austin had to do for Elvis but, in context, that was two years of his life that he had to settle in. Maybe this actor for your script just needs a little time to find where he fits.

“Y/N,” Austin waits until your eyes meet his gaze, “You know how much grace to give him, alright? If it keeps feelin’ wrong, put your foot down until it’s right.”

You nod softly—right, okay, right. Gonna take it one day at a time, see where they’re at by the end of the week. That headache that was settling on your temples suddenly takes a sudden and jagged poke behind your eyes, making your draw in a sharp breath. One hand goes to your temples, rubbing at them with your thumb and middle finger.

“You gettin’ a migraine?” Austin asks, concern mapping along his voice. You can hear him stand from the couch, approaching you before putting a gentle hand on your arm.

“No,” You clear your throat, pulling your hand away, “No, I’ve had a headache for the past few days. Just comes and goes.”

He hums lightly, pushing your hair over your shoulder. His hand settles on your neck, tipping your chin back with his thumb so that you’re looking up at him. His eyebrows draw together a little as he looks you over,

“You look flushed baby.”

Opening and closing your mouth, you shake your head because you are…he is not going there. “M’all worked up.”

Austin smirks a little, thumb running along your jawline, “I’ve seen you worked up before, it’s not this.” You’re about to say something else when his hand moves to touch your forehead and you attempt to bat him away because—

“I’m not sick.” You’re just not. You have no time at all to be sick, the headache is from stress probably, not getting enough sleep or eating enough. That’s it.

“Oh so we’re gonna be stubborn?” He asks, “Shocking—that’s cute.”

You huff dramatically, pushing him away a bit with a hand on his chest even though you don’t really want him to go anywhere. Austin knows exactly what to do with his proximity and regardless that he’s annoying it works every single time. He tears down your defenses, your walls, makes you completely comfortable…which you suppose in general is never a bad thing.

But in this case? You are trying to prove a point and you are definitely not sick because you’re too busy to be. Just ain’t happening.

“I’m not being stubborn, I’m just tellin’ you like it is—you’re wrong. I don’t get sick; I have an impeccable immune system.”

Austin laughs a little, “Oh I’m wrong?” He shakes his head, planting a quick kiss to your hairline. “Alright, whatever you say.”

“That’s right whatever I say,” You mumble to yourself as he pulls back, possibly a bit petulantly. Should have just lied and said it was a migraine to have Austin help you into bed and make a cup of a tea.

Crossing your arms over your chest, you let out a long breath.

You are definitely not getting sick.

You wake up about an hour before your alarm and roll over in a fitful attempt to fall back asleep. The sheets are sticking to you, your body is hot, and the heat from Austin which is usually comforting is making you feel like you want to peel your skin off. Throwing the comforter back, you pull yourself from bed. The minute your feet hit the floor, you’re overwhelmed with nausea and quickly walk to the bathroom, not closing the door completely behind you. Once your feet are on the cold tile, you feel a little bit better, wiping sweat from your forehead as you glance at your very pale face in the mirror.

Oh no.

Your cheekbones are splotched pink, you’ve got chills, skin heated, slightly congested, and a ringing in your ears from the headache.

You’re sick—you cannot fucking believe this.

Groaning in miserableness, frustration and fatigue, you turn the water on to wet a washcloth to at least wash your face. You run the fabric along your hairline, cheeks and then finally wipe along the back of your neck. The door creaks open slightly and you pray it’s your cat but of course it’s Austin, leaning against the doorframe to look in on you.

“You alright?” He asks softly, tone concerned as he gives you a once over. His voice is caked with sleep, slightly gruffer in some places, dirty blonde hair mussed in a bunch of directions. You’d love nothing more than to tell him you were fine and to go back to sleep, but you already know you won’t be able to fake anything.

Sighing, you shake your head as the room starts to spin and you slowly take a seat on the closed toilet seat, “Please don’t say ‘I told you so’ when I’m dyin’.”

There’s a soft laugh from Austin as he comes into the bathroom, crouching in front of you. “I wouldn’t do that—I’ll at least wait until you’re feelin’ better.”

You smile despite how terrible you feel, shaking your head as Austin pushes your hair away from your face so he can get a better look at you. He smooths some back from your forehead, leaning up to press a long kiss to your hairline.

“I think you have a fever.” He whispers, gently kissing your cheek.

You want to tell him not to bother or fuss, the last thing you want to do is to get him sick too but he doesn’t seem like he cares or that he’s going anywhere. Ironically he can be quite stubborn too…but in this case? You’re grateful.

“Let’s change your clothes, get you back into bed.” He stands up.

Sniffling, you move to take off the shirt you wore to sleep in, “I gotta go to set.”

Austin scoffs, “You are not goin’ anywhere.” His voice is firm, shaking his head as he puts the shirt in the hamper before disappearing into the bedroom. He brings back one of his sweatshirts, the black waffle-knit one that’s super soft and helps you pull it on over your head.

Crinkling your nose, “Austin, you know what I’m dealin’ with there, I have to go.”

“Yeah, all this stressing you’re doin’ is probably why you’re sick.”

You squeeze your eyes shut for a moment, feeling a wave of emotion crash right into you that you do your best to swallow down. You know he’s right but…at the same time? You can’t help but feel like some sort of failure—which you know makes no sense but…this is your first big thing, your first step into a world that you thought was closed off to you. Missing a day just feels like you’re already letting yourself down.

“Look at me,” Austin murmurs and you can tell he’s crouched down again, your eyes opening to see him eyelevel with you. “There is no shame in takin’ care of yourself, okay? You’ve worked so hard for this, staying home to get better does not somehow translate into you bein’ less.” He holds your gaze for a long moment, making you swallow over a lump in your throat,

“You understand me?”

You nod softly, sniffling, running a hand over your cheek. “You’re pretty good at 6am bathroom pep talks.”

Austin smirks, moving to wrap his arms around you, “Grab onto my neck.”

Once you do that, he hooks an arm underneath your legs and scoops you up bridal style to take you back into the bedroom. Setting you down on your side of the bed, he pulls the sheets back to help tuck you right back in.

You sigh softly, running a hand through your hair—maybe with some extra sleep you’ll bounce back in a few hours (or at least that’s the hope). Regardless, Austin promises to call in sick for you, brushing some of your hair out of your face.

“Are you leaving?” You ask, your eyes already closing.

“I’ll be here—just gonna run out and get some groceries.” But you’re asleep before you can reply.

The next time you wake up, you have no idea what time it is. Completely disoriented, you reach out for the bed beside you but the sheets are cold. Your head is pounding and you run a hand over your face to try and figure out which way is up. Groaning a little, you push yourself up in bed and pull the sheets back. Your head is clouded and that’s putting it kindly…you feel like your brain might actually resemble a shrink-wrapped piece of ham at this point. Blindly pushing the bedroom door open, you frown as you attempt to get your bearings and look for Austin.

You wander through the apartment, eventually finding your boyfriend in the kitchen where he’s…

“Are you making soup?”

He turns a little to look at you, a soft laugh leaving his lips. “Yeah, I told you I can cook you know.”

Pulling the sleeves down over your hands, you walk in, sniffling, looking around at the various ingredients. He really went to the store to buy things to make chicken soup from scratch—no one has ever done that for you before, other than your mom. It’s just…really thoughtful and sweet and while you know Austin is those things, somehow this is surprising to you.

“You didn’t have to do all this.” You offer him a small smile.

“I wanted to—looked like you were in on your deathbed in there.” He teases, using a large wooden spoon to stir the pot before approaching you.

You put your hand up quickly, turning away to sneeze not once but twice. Ugh. You move to grab a napkin to blow your nose, tossing it away and washing your hands. That does nothing to help the pressure in your sinuses—you thought you’d feel better with some sleep but clearly it’s going to take a few days. So annoying.

Austin reaches for you to attempt to pull you into his chest, “No, I don’t want to get you sick.” You state, even though you’re not strong enough to push him away. You fold way too easily against him, closing your eyes. The heat of his skin is comforting and you find yourself melting on the spot when he brings his hand up to massage one of your temples.

“I’ll risk it.” He presses a long kiss to your hairline, “Don’t be fallin’ apart on me, alright? If the roles were reversed you’d be tellin’ me I need to take care of myself. Same goes for you.”

He’s right—especially if something like this would have happened to him on the set of Elvis, you’d be the first person to tell him he’d need to slow down, get enough sleep, eat enough, try not to stress into making himself sick. Taking care of himself was a priority…though you have to admit it’s a lot easier to say than advice to give yourself. You tip your chin up to look at him, nodding softly,

“Seems like it might be a dealbreaker if you’re gonna make soup every time.” You tease a little and he leans down to press a kiss to the bridge of your nose.

“Stubborn,” Austin repeats, smiling a little at you, “But I love you.”

You hum, wrapping your arms around his waist to squeeze him as you utter the phrase back. You’re feeling better already.

no pressure but if you DO decide to send mundane things you think rocket would have an interest in, i would be eternally delighted

as you know, of course, rocket didn't really get a childhood. even the lovely memories he might've had playing tag with lylla & teefs & floor are more bittersweet than nostalgic. so when you tell him that coloring is relaxing and meditative and that it reminds you of being a little kid, he just blinks at you, and scoffs, and goes about his day.

but he pays attention. he watches you. and you seem to really enjoy it. and rocket doesn't like to miss out, so after you go to bed one night, he flips through your coloring book and opens your box of crayons.

they smell weird. waxy. he likes the feel of the fibrous paper wrappers under his fingers, though.

maybe if he had torn out the pages he'd ended up coloring, you wouldn't have noticed his additions so quickly. or if he'd just been more normal about his coloring. but rocket's style is too meticulous. unique. the colors he chooses don't always make sense - how d'you know? you ain't been around the universe long enough yet to say what's weird an' what's not, he reminds you smugly when you confront him. on the other hand, you realize that you have no idea what the high evolutionary did to his eyes. maybe he still can't see red - or maybe he sees more colors than a terran human like yourself could even dream of. either way, each stroke of color is deliberately applied. in fact, rocket's probably one of those people who adds more detail into the pictures: makes the boring humans look like other lifeforms he met once, or changes their clothes to reflect something he saw one time on a space station out in the lumyra system. i imagine he's actually really good at drawing in a particular, precise sort of way - he maybe hasn't consumed a lot of narrative or conceptual art, but he can glance at a mechanical diagram and flawlessly recreate it years later.

in any case, he's realized you're right. there's something relaxing about it - pulling color out across a soft sheet of paper. changing it. making something of it. it's liberating. it's freeing. he can do whatever he wants. go wherever he wants. he particularly likes it when you bring out older coloring books - the waxy smell has grown on him, combined with the scent of the shabby-soft, faded paper. he likes the simpler images over the more complex ones, too - but mostly because it leaves him more room to create what he wants on the page.

next time mantis stops by, she brings some coloring books that quill had sent along from terra. you and rocket pour over them, exploring each page. after he's done with captain-shit for the night, he takes a break from the new ship he's been building to sit with you and color in the common area.

it ain't like being a kid again, he tells you one night, thoughtfully.

you blink over at him. what?

coloring, he says. it ain't like being a kid again.

you wait, looking over at him while he thoughtfully selects another crayon.

being a kid was bein in a cage, he tells you quietly, turning his eyes back to his page and pressing the waxy tip into the paper. he doesn't look up.

Okay, so... how does this work?

If you would like to take part in the gift exchange, please REPLY to this post. Reblog all you want, but you won’t be included in the draw unless you reply. That’s just the easiest way for me to keep track of people. I’ll let this post circulate until November 25th. After that, I’ll chuck all the names in a hat and randomly assign Secret Santas. Once you have your person, feel free to contact them (anonymously - this is supposed to be a secret) and ask any questions about what they might like in a gift. Pairings, favourite tropes, etc. Which brings me to another biggie:

To anyone who wants to take part in this, please change your ask settings to allow anonymous questions!!!

Every year I have quite a few people come to me telling me they can’t ask their giftee questions because of this. That means I have to try to get a hold of them, which slows the process down for everyone and drives me to drink. I’ve gotten to the point where if your ask box is not set to allow anon questions and your Secret Santa cannot contact you, I won’t be trying to get in touch - I’ll just remove you from the exchange.

So please, even if you’re sure anon asks are already allowed, double check. If you’re not sure HOW to do that, google is your friend.

Posting Date.

You can post your finished pieces starting December 24th. Please don’t post before this and please make sure your gift is posted by the end of December. Once the 24th rolls around, you can reveal yourself as your person’s Secret Santa by posting/scheduling your creation on your blog and @/tagging the person. Also, please tag your entry with #merry pitchmas 2022 so that I can find them all and combine them into a master post once everyone has posted.

“But I don’t have any money!”

You don’t need money for this! No, dear friends, all you need is some time and your imagination. You see, this exchange is all about getting creative. Your gifts can be fanfiction, fanart, gifsets, manips, and anything else that falls under the header of fanworks.

What pairings are accepted?

All pairings are welcome. However, please make a point of contacting your giftee if you aren’t sure which pairings they enjoy.

Also!

If you change your blog name at all over the next two months PLEASE let me know. It’s really, really difficult to hunt people down if you don’t. I put a lot of work into making a list of who has who and that gets completely effed up if User007 has changed their name to ButtercupPony85. Again, I have reached a point where I will not be combing through tags and blogs looking for people.

In closing!

This is all about having fun.

You know what isn’t fun? Putting time and effort into giving someone a gift, only to not receive one yourself. Every time I’ve done this previously, there have been people who have said yes to taking part who have gotten their gift and then not followed through in giving theirs. Refused to reply to messages and left someone without anything. Luckily, there are some lovely, wonderful people who offer to help out and dedicate even more of their time to coming up with something for those people.

PLEASE DO NOT SAY YES IF YOU AREN’T PLANNING ON HOLDING UP YOUR END OF THIS.

It’s not fair.

If you aren’t going to be able to finish your gift in time, or at all, please let me know. That way I can contact the person you have and let them know it’ll be late or arrange for something else to be done for them.

This is all about having fun!! I started this so that everyone could have a good time in the fandom around the holiday season. So that people who may be headed towards a rough holiday season or who might not get gifts elsewhere will have something to look forward to and something to work on during what can either be a really great or really tough time of the year.
