I know a lot of people have said that The Hunger Games series aged like fine wine because as we grow older we come to appreciate the nuances and exactly how brutal the system there is.

Subsequently, it's also made me think that Enobaria, shark-teeth lady from District 2, winning her games by tearing her opponent's throat with her teeth may not be the sadism I interpreted it to be when I first read it. The way I see it now, a person using their teeth in a fight speaks of a desperation to survive. Which probably means that Enobaria had no weapon in hand at the time, was probably being overpowered by her opponent, and to survive she was willing to use her teeth.

Also, she got her teeth filed after her Games.

Did you like the movie?

I did!! I think the characters were played well and the story was told well but the singing just felt so out of place for me 💀 like I know that of course that’s a vital part of the storyline and the book, but when she first started singing out of nowhere I was like okay it’s giving high school musical LMFAOSKD

I feel like in the original movies, Katniss singing was incorporated way better and here it just seemed so abrupt and out of place?? but then again maybe that was the intention, since no one expected her to do that and it’s what ended up winning people over to her cause etc etc

Idk I have mixed feelings sorry for thought-dumping SKDNSNDN but all in all, I think they adapted the book pretty well and the casting was on point

#they left out some stuff that I thought was important like Snow’s relationship with Sejanus’ family cause that was integral #especially bc of the ending and how Plinth essentially adopted Snow as his son and funded his every move towards presidency #when in reality he’s the reason his real son ended up dead #one scene I’m kinda glad they left out tho was how when that district girl killed the capitol girl at the zoo and how afterwards #they strung up her body and paraded it around the Capitol to instill fear in the districts n shit #that was traumatizing to read like…. #like it was a big fancy parade honoring the Capitol girl (even though she deserved to die with how she was taunting that poor starving girl) #and as part of the celebration they just had the distric girl’s corpse swinging around as punishment #seeing that irl would have given me nightmares 😭

it rly depends on what ur vibe is bc berlin has soo many different faces. each district has its own thing going, its like different cities rly and hm also it depends on how much money u have lol searching for apartments in berlin is a nightmare. if u have a lot of time for apartment hunting and a good financial situation id personally choose charlottenburg, prenzlauer berg, friedrichshain or schöneberg. but rly id do some research on berlins districts and what makes them special bc it rlyyy depends on ur preferences <3

#these districs are quite central. u can also live at the outer edges of the city which can be super beautiful bc berlins got many many lakes #can also be shitty to reach from the city center with long ass commutes + depending on where u are theres more or less life #just google it a bit and check on google maps what kind of stores/restaurants/etc there are everywhere and what u want close #mail💌
