Jean: Oh my gosh! What did you do? Diluc will be so pissed! Didn't you say this was like 5k?

Kaeya: My, why would Diluc be pissed? I haven't even touched our trust fund [from Crepus].

Jean: What? Did you spend a whole month of your salary on a jacket?

Kaeya: Nah, my old man kicked the bucket. Used the inheritance.

Jean: Ah... Well, I do understand that you don't like him but... Was it worth wasting most your inheritance? Especially since you don't use the trust fund.

Kaeya: Oh no I have like a bunch left. My bio family's, like, crazy rich.

Jean: You... You actually never mentioned that. Like how rich are we talking about?

Kaeya: Oh, more than double the Ragvindrs. They're an old military family, plus they were, like, regents of Khaneri'ah for a while.

Jean: Oh....

NEW GOOFY IDEA FROM CLUE (In other news, the sky is blue)

Ok, so here’s my bullshit. It’s 100% incorrect and it came to me with all the subtlety of a freight train and all the lead-up of a sudden sneeze. But here it is:

Pierro is Kaeya’s dad. However, Kaeya also has ANOTHER DAD who I will call ‘General Alberich’ from here on out. Pierro and General Alberich were in the midst of a messy divorce when the cataclysm happened, but the apocalypse kinda backs up the family court system. After everybody got fucked up, Pierro and General Alberich had completely different ideas of what needed to be done and so they went their separate ways (Pierro deciding to make a new world with the Tsaritsa vs General Alberich trying to rebuild Khaenri’ah or whatever tf the Alberich clan is up to). Pierro wound up needing to leave everything behind in order to found the Fatui and so General Alberich effectively winds up with custody of Kaeya. So Kaeya is raised in the Abyss and is trained as the child savior of Khaenri’ah, then is left in Mondstadt to spy for the Abyss.

Fast forward like 18 years and now Pierro has received word from La Signora from her notes written pre-death that the current Cavalry Captain is some asshole named Kaeya Alberich (huh he looks kinda similar to the boss I wonder why ANYWAYS) and Pierro LOSES HIS SHIT because they went through that whole custody battle and the FUCKING APOCALYPSE only for General Alberich to put their kid in Mondstadt. Or maybe Kaeya ran away? Regardless, Pierro is now going to Mondstadt in order to find his kid and reunite with him + get him to spy for the Fatui. At roughly the same time, General Alberich is like ‘huh I haven’t heard from my son in a while maybe I should go check up on him’ and goes to Mondstadt to get Kaeya to keep spying for the Abyss. Meanwhile poor Kaeya is just living a relatively peaceful life in Mondstat and he just wants to keep doing what he’s doing and suddenly BOTH OF HIS DADS ARE POPPING INTO MONDSTADT AND ARE ASKING HIM TO START SPYING FOR THEM.

#genshin impact #clue's incorrect theories #this one is even worse than 'Kaeya is a segment of Pierro' because this makes no sense in universe and in a metatextual context #because Mihoyo would never include a canonically mlm couple in their games LET ALONE ONE IN WHICH THEY HAVE A SON TOGETHER #but I think this is really funny even if it is basically an AU #kaeya alberich #pierro #general alberich #IDK why I called him that I just couldn't come up with a name and that's what happened #I'll call this bullshit 'Kaeya has 3 dads bullshit'#because he's got his two alive dads and then Crepus who is dead RIP to a confusing king #imagine Diluc trying to figure out which dad to hate more #because like he's always hated Kaeya's bio dad but he always assumed that there was only one #and now there are two of them and one of them is the leader of the Abyss and the other is the leader of the Harbingers #so Diluc is actually I think who winds up the worst in this AU #but Kaeya is also having a rough time #because he has to keep his dads from destroying Mondstadt every 3 minutes #not because they want to destroy Mondstadt but because they keep arguing and fighting #and when you're both probably strong enough to kill Gods then your fights would probably destroy a city #IDK what this is #it's more of Clue's Bullshit and this time it's even more bullshit than usual #CW cursing

Mmmm Sanctuary back at it again bc Im gonna study Marine Biology in College, but just imagine the Harbingers as abyss monsters that live in really cold enclosures so you got sick once bc it was so cold but now next time you came in you were smothered in Jackets and warmth from...wait did they steal those Jackets?

Diluc got into the enclosure once and is banned from being put anywhere near their enclosure. Poor Childe got a bunch of owl scratches.

Bonus idea of the reverse AU too where Childe and friends tends to you, a Ginormous Barn owl, or other abyssmal animal oooh Maybe a Manta ray even. Yummy thoughts.

oh my goodness yessss all the Abyss creatures under your care get so worried when they see that you might be getting sick- Childe, Kaeya, and the other Harbingers thrive in particularly cold environments so you getting sick is quite common at first. of course you eventually get used to it, but even the slightest hint of coughing or sniffles makes them (Childe most of all) whimper in concern. coats start mysteriously appearing for whenever you seem cold and all you can do is wonder where on earth they got them from!! (they've been stealing them. Columbina specifically) but you can't really complain because whenever you let them drape the jackets over your shoulders you're met with resounding purrs and happy coos, so in a way it's a win-win for everyone <3 oh, and the absolute best thing is going from the Harbingers' cold enclosures to Diluc's toasty warm one <33

speaking of Diluc he HATES THE HARBINGERS. absolutely DESPISES them!!! he tolerates Childe because you love him so much but all the other Harbingers??? no no no, you shouldn't be spending time with them, they're dangerous!!! go hang out with Albedo!! or Kaeya!! or for goodness sake him!! if you're ever spending time with him and he sees one of the Harbingers looking at you, he'll immediately move to block you from their view and glare at them (he definitely pouts if you're paying attention to them instead of him but of course he'll never say)

OHOHOHOOO YES Childe and co maybe finding you with injuries and helping you recuperate,,,, perhaps first seeing you as more of a patient but growing to care about you a lot,,,, yesssss <33

Another Diluc and Kaeya Make Up AU...

Kaeya is ambushed by a group from Khaenri'ah claiming that the time had come for him to complete his mission. Of course, Kaeya had made up his mind a long time ago that he could never go through with the plan and says as much to the group. A battle ensues until a mystery person reveals themselves, claiming to be Kaeya's sister/brother.

Kaeya remembers them.

He doesn't like them.

The two fight until Diluc shows up and saves Kaeya. Together, they push back until Kaeya's bio-sibling is forced to flee. When Diluc demands to know what's going on, Kaeya tells him that the time has come and that he needs to leave Mondstadt. Diluc protests, surprising Kaeya but the captain is set on leaving to protect Mondstadt. Diluc tells him that if he's leaving, he's not leaving on his own. Now Kaeya tries to protest but Diluc is equally as stubborn.

They leave by the next morning and set out across Teyvat with just the single goal of staying one step ahead of Khaenri'ah. Unfortunately for them, Kaeya's bio-sibling wasn't going to take their loss laying down and has convinced themselves that Kaeya had somehow been brainwashed.

Diluc and Kaeya proceed to bond and regain their brotherhood while being followed by Kaeya's insane bio-sibling who is tracking them down, determined to get him back.

Was Kaeya... Like... Actually adopted?

I don't ship Kale*c, nor will I ever, before anyone says anything. I very much do see them as brothers either way, I am simply questioning the legality of Kaeya's adoption.

Because... Like Kaeya didn't have any protection in the inheritance, it seems. Diluc very much legally sold off the mansion, and I would get if Crepus, like, left the mansion to one kid and the winery to the other or something but, like, Diluc owns both of them?? Like legally.

It's never even mentioned that Kaeya gave him his part of the will and that's... At this point it should've been mentioned if it was canon I think.

So either Mond has, like, the shittiest laws to protect adoptees in inheritance or he was never adopted. And I'd much rather it be the second.

Talking lessons

(Pierro is not Kaeya's bio dad HC/Fatui adopt Kaeya AU) There is a reason why Kaeya doesn't speak in front of others for a long time.

Context/lore:

In this AU, Kaeya came to Teyvat with limited knowledge in Teyvat's common language. Most of the words he knows are outdated, and he's more proficient in reading and writing rather than listening and talking.

Pierro push Kaeya to study hard so he can listen and speak fluently. He brings him to meetings so Kaeya can experience real-life verbal conversations and told him to remember or note down words that he doesn't understand to ask Pierro later.

It takes Kaeya a long time to actually starts talking to someone other than Pierro because both of them are perfectionists lmao. It would be easier if Kaeya has someone around his age to talk with (like Diluc in the canon universe), but in this building, only Pierro and the Tsaritsa knows how to speak Khaenri'ahn fluently

when it rains, the alberich clan gets the urge to do something chaotic:

-caribert became the loom of fate

-clothar went into a dialogue about it, leading to the start of the abyss order

-kaeya's bio dad left him in mond for some...reason unclear yet

-kaeya confesses his origins to diluc leading to a fight that gave him his vision

i guess the drama of storm sound effects was too good to be ignored
