I’ve watched FMAB a thousand times but Greed’s death STILL gets me every fucking time. 1. Him realizing that Ling is going to get hurt and possibly killed by Father if Greed doesn’t leave his body, 2. Greed coming to terms with the fact that he’s definitely going to get killed by Father but he’s willing to make the sacrifice for Ling, and 3. Greed discovering that what he wanted was what he had the entire time, and that was true friends who would stick with him through thick and thin, who would share the same experiences and failures and triumphs and still love him despite his homunculus status. I’m so.

Also I’m SO pissed at the fact that Pride got to live but Greed didn’t. In my brain I kept saying “Well yeah I guess it makes sense for all of the homunculi to die bc they came from Father and HE has to die” but then I remembered that Pride LIVES and that makes me so salty. Out of all the homunculi Greed deserved to live the MOST AND I JUST. FUCKIGN.

Do Steve and Eddie make Easter baskets for the kids as they get older? I was just talking to my mom about how she used to hide our baskets along with the eggs and they were impossible to find. And it made me think about Eddie being devious with his hiding spots.

istg you and i are on the same wavelength bc i was literally drafting an easter drabble when this notif came in.

Yeah, they absolutely do the whole Easter thing - just for the memories and tradition of it all. Their kids don't even really know what Easter is about other than the bunny and eggs and all that - Steve is pretty sure Hazel thinks it's to celebrate all the new baby animals and he's not really interested in taking that away from her.

It starts the Saturday before Easter when the girls dye hard-boiled eggs (which typically goes about as well as any extremely messy arts and craft project with three young kids). They argue throughout the entire process, and to an outsider they all probably look pretty miserable, but when Steve says, "If I hear another word about who's allowed to use which colors, I'm packing all this up and we'll be done," he gets a united chorus of protests in response.

(And Eddie is no help whatsoever because he's too busy coming up with the most intricate egg design possible).

When all the eggs are dyed (and the girls are done arguing over whose were ultimately whose), they put them in their little Easter baskets with the fake grass and leave them outside their bedroom doors.

Overnight, Steve and Eddie the Easter Bunny swaps out the eggs for candy and little toys and things like that, and hides the eggs around the house.

Eddie is an absolute rat bastard about how he hides those eggs. He does not care that Hazel is only four, and barely three feet tall. He absolutely will be hiding her sticker-covered mess of an egg on top of the tallest bookshelf in the living room.

"If she's smart, she'll realize she can see it when she stands on stairs," he says gleefully.

"Okay, and then what?" is Steve's question, "Is she levitating up there?"

The girls love it. They have the best time going on a wild goose chase for all the eggs, and the tradition lasts a lot longer than it probably would have otherwise for that exact reason.

An honorable Harrington family Easter mention is when Eddie does such a good job hiding one particular egg that no one can find it.

Steve: If I have to be stuck with a rotting egg lost in my house I will go insane and die

It takes Eddie three hours to find it (inside a spare roll of toilet paper - Steve comments, “No wonder none of you freeloaders could find it”) and he misses the Easter morning cinnamon rolls.

all that comes to a head when rose tyler becomes the bad wolf. in that moment, she sees everything. everything everything. the doctor's past, and the doctor's future. every horrible thing they did and will do.

and in that moment, with all this truth streaming constantly into her brain, most amazing person in the universe rose tyler looks at him and goes "i want to save you. you are worth saving."

So a little while ago me and my friend @latersgayt0rs kinda realized something about the ROTTMNT movie.

Leo’s plan at the end made perfect sense.

And I don’t mean that from a writing standpoint— of course that made sense for plot purposes— I mean from an in-universe perspective. Leo’s perspective.

People say it was suicidal, or say he didn’t have to do it that way, which is a totally valid interpretation! But me and Ferr saw it a little differently.

So, let's look at all the facts of the situation. After regaining their ninpo, the turtles all fought Krang Prime (or, Krang One) with everything they had. EVERYTHING.

Donnie fired that big barrage of missiles, Mikey threw an entire goddamn SKYSCRAPER at him! Everyone gave it their all, but when they combined their powers and tried to punch Krang Prime with ALL of that—

He stopped them by simply flicking his fingers. He knocked Donnie and Mikey off the building, both unable to catch themselves so Raph of course had to go save them.

And Leo was left alone.

With all of that prior information, what else was Leo really supposed to do in that situation? 

Sure, he could ask where the others landed and form a portal to get them back up there, but again; Everything. They threw EVERYTHING they had at Krang Prime, and he flung them away like it was nothing. Who’s to say he wouldn’t just do that again? Or kill someone?

Not to mention Leo had to be exhausted. It was nighttime when the movie began, then daytime in the middle, then it looked pretty dark when everything was going on at the end. Maybe that was just dust and debris kicked up by the Technodrome, but hours had passed with no sleep, no rest, only action. Only fighting.

Leo went from the first fight to the Krang to the subway tunnels fight, to the stuff that happened in Metro Tower, to his 1v1 with Raph, to this fight with little to no breaks in between. Physically at least; again, he did not sleep between these times. And emotions had to be going INSANE after Raph was taken.

How do we know he even had the energy to make enough portals to get everyone back up there then be able to portal them/himself around during the fight? 

So, Leo was tired. Leo knew how strong Prime was. And most importantly, he knew the stakes.

If Krang Prime was not stopped here, then the entire world would be destroyed. His family would be killed. Everyone would die.

Leo had NO choice. There was no other choice, no other option for him. No other route to take. 

He HAD to lock Krang Prime back in the Prison Dimension. And the only way for him to do that and keep him inside was to teleport them both.

There was no other alternative that would have worked.

besides the whole "sam is emotionally abusive" argument I keep seeing fucking everywhere (I need it gone!!), it's very obvious that a lot of people don't really understand the effect that the demon blood had on sam as a person. idk in my mind, it's always kind of compared to deans moc arc. like yes, sam was willingly drinking it, as opposed to dean not having control over the mark's influence (besides taking it on in the first place after leaving sam alone in the wake of his non-consensual & third possession but dw about that rn). in concept, the demon blood had the same effect on sam that the mark did on dean, in the way that it fucked with him innately (dean telling sam he should die, when dean's always gone to extreme lengths to save him, while sam calls dean weak, when just the next season he sacrifices himself because he's the "least of any of them"). it's not really present in the first half of the season (up to 04x14ish), when he's not consistently taking the demon blood, but it's especially obvious in the second part of the season. after reestablishing his relationship with ruby (after she guilt trips him and tells him it's his fault for people dying but we'll move on for now), he very suddenly goes from being very willing to talk to dean about hell and console him, to not really being there for dean. and while I don't love/agree with him calling dean weak for being traumatized, I think it really shows how it was making sam, an undeniably compassionate person, very closed off and cold, which is devastating in its own right, and part of the reason why the demon blood arc is so amazing.

idk I just see a lot of people constantly hating on sam for shit that he did while being high on the blood/while the blood was fucking with him, and I think a lot of those things are very un-sam things that he spends the entirety of the next season apologizing and trying to make up for. like sam in his right mind is a person who would not necessarily do the things he says/does in that season and I think that's forgotten a lot. for me, the bottom line is, if you hate sam for things he did in s4 and then turn around and immediately defend dean for things he did in s10, there's something going on there and it's not just blatant hypocrisy from the narrative.

My betrothed and I are oscillating so wildly between whether or not we’re going to be able to keep Wyvern. If we need to rehome him it’ll be because it’s the right move, and we’ll leave him better off in terms of manners to help him find the right place.

He is pushing me to move more, but having him four days a week might be too much for me. We still can’t bathe him and it’s unclear whether being able the bathe him will help with our allergies.

I think he’ll come around to the cats but right now all interactions are overseen with food assists to keep him from barking. He’s improved on potty training and there hasn’t been more accidents but since he can’t communicate his need to go out it’s just Constantly Going Out to prevent accidents.
