I read some of the reviews for Dragon Age Absolution on IMDB and it’s so funny that people seriously give reviews which just say “everyone is gay 2/10.”
Dude, what did you even expect? This is Dragon Age, there are always gay characters, it’s one of the gayest series you can find.
Look at this review, hilarious:
Tumblr media
Clearly written by someone who knows nothing about the series. They incorrectly refer to the characters with D&D class descriptions and they call the qunari mage “some kind of giant goat lady”. LOL It’s actually quite funny to read, but... if someone starts watching a tv show that is part of a larger series and then they get angry because it depicts the usual themes and topics of that series, well they have only themselves to blame. Hate gay characters? Maybe be aware if a 13 year old series has gay storylines and don’t act like the most recent entry has an “agenda”. Ridiculous. Homophobes always assume there is an “agenda” so they don’t even bother to check whether or not gay characters are actually new to the series they are watching.

Welcome! This blog is running a poll bracket between every single episode of M*A*S*H (excluding Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen). You can view the entire bracket here!
(other info below)
The Method
Each match in the first round has been randomly generated. I did it this way to have more of a variety between the episodes competing, instead of having episodes from the same season compete for a lot of the bracket. I could have also traditionally seeded it (so the "best" episode competes against the "worst"), but while I was up for running this bracket, I was not up for making a theoretical ranking of every single episode of MASH based on how popular it is on Tumblr. lol. That's what this poll is for.
Due to the sheer amount of matches in Round 1 (118 to be exact) I will be splitting it up into 4 groups of around 30 polls. I will also be splitting Round 2 into two halves.
Also, 10 episodes (again, random) will not appear in Round 1 and will instead be inserted into Round 2. This is due to the number of matches in Round 1 not splitting up completely evenly. (i'm glad there was the Challonge website to set up the bracket for me, it would have broke my brain otherwise)
Most episode descriptions are from Hulu. Some are from Wikipedia or IMDB if I didn't think the Hulu description was very good.
Why I'm Not Including GFA
I feel like GFA is on another level compared the regular episodes of the show, since it's basically a movie and does the task of wrapping up 11 seasons of one of the most popular shows ever made. And to be honest, I think it would be the obvious winner and be unfair to the rest of the competition. The point of this tournament to me is to determine what people's favorite regular episodes of MASH are.
Navigating the Blog
Every poll is tagged with the episode names (no punctuation except for apostrophes), the seasons of both episodes, and the round number. If you want to vote for a specific episode, theoretically you should be able to search the episode name, but if Tumblr's search function is being... itself, you can use this url: https://mashpoll.tumblr.com/tagged/episode name
Sending Propaganda
As you've probably seen in other tournaments, feel free to send "propaganda" supporting your favorite episodes. I'll be posting them without a response/commentary to try and keep it unbiased. I'll also tag it with "propaganda" so you can filter it if you just want to see the polls.
What's my main?
I'd like to try to remain semi-anonymous. I say semi-anonymous because I have posted about this poll on my main, so you can probably figure it out pretty easily if you're already following me.

Going through movies from the past that were set in the future, except that future is now our past (2001: A Space Odyssey style)
This is going to be a longish series so I'm going to make this a reblog chain, here's the current list I've made using IMDB. Here's the list lol
2019: after the fall of new york (1983) Defcon 2012 (2010)(edited) 2012 Ice Age (2011) 2012 (2009) tamala 2010: a punk cat in space (2002) 2010: the year we make contact (1984) 2009: lost memories (2002) 2002 (2001) 2001: a space travesty (2000) 2001: a space odyssey (1968) Equalizer 2000 (1987) Fantasia 2000 (1999) Death Race 2000 (1987)(edited) Cherry 2000 (1975) Blues Brothers 2000 (1998) Summer vacation 1998 (1988) Class of 1999 (1990) 1984 (1956) Class of 1984 (1982)
I've already watched Death Race 2000, and Defcon: 2012, so I'll put those first. I'd be lying if I said these were in any particular order
Death Race 2000
rating: 4/10
If you're going to watch this and enjoy it you need to know that it's a political satire from the start, and bizarrely funny. Unfortunately, it doesn't really make its point clear until the last five minutes, which is "America is gratuitously violent and there's no fucking reason for that" and "if anyone disagrees with that, hit them with a car"
The actual premise is "What if in the year 2000, America turned into a gratuitously violent, near-global state that celebrated each year with a cross-country race where racers try to hit as many people as possible. And also, what if there was a group who didn't like that and tried to stop it by matching a rebel leader's granddaughter in shotgun with the only two time winner of the cross-country race?"
Interesting notes:
there is a nazi flag in the first five minutes, and a character duo who have nazism as their motif. Because it's a political satire and it's a mile marker to show the level of issues involved. However they do end up driving off a cliff and there's an extended explosion scene
disappointingly, the guy who's supposedly gotten in multiple car crashes and has several prosthetics has no physical evidence of that
surprisingly, he DOES look like he designed his own (fake) leather dom outfit, cape included, with only vague descriptions of what one looks like
there's the funniest fight scene ever about an hour into the movie between this guy and another guy (played by Sylvester Stallone) dressed like a 30s gangster, while sax plays
Defcon: 2012
rating: 2/10 generally, 7/10 if you're genuine about enjoying it
I'm 100% sure this was someone's film school project, and if you like the idea of a 2010 emo dystopia movie filmed almost entirely in an abandoned mall, with three out of *maybe* eight characters voiced by TTS, you'll like this.
The actual premise is "local tormented teen and co. go to a supposedly abandoned Earth to go scavenger hunting, but discover an underground human community, and the real way Earth was taken over (it involves imperialism)"
Interesting notes:
Pretty much every single scene without talking is overlaid with EDM and 2010 metal. The soundtrack's pretty good actually
One of the characters wears a CGI'd helmet, and I'm honestly impressed by the amount of effort put into editing it
I'm 90% sure the person who made this watched Battlestar Galactica from the filters over every scene
It's written like the person who made it has just learned they can say the fuck word and not get in trouble
I'm also pretty sure one of the cast members is the mom of another one of the cast members. Good for her
Shoutout to a couple throwaway lines about how colonization is bad and how in the story, the 2012 Mayan calendar thing actually has nothing to do with it (even though it seems like it initially). Surprisingly anticapitalist implications overall, I wish this was focused on more
Only problem I have with the movie is that I think it wrapped up too quickly, which seemed beyond the control of the people who were making it so I can't fault them for that really

Dagmara Dominczyk Filmography Review w/ Links Dag has had a great career! I think you can see her shift towards more interesting and prestige projects as she gets older, especially in the past 5-ish years, which is really interesting. Movies w/ her Polish accent have a ★ in the title, ♡ denote my favorites. If a movie isn't included, then I didn't want to watch it or couldn't find it lol. Additionally, I watched most of these projects on soap2day or flixxer!
Keeping the Faith - I could not find her in this? I think she might be improperly labeled on IMDb. Please send reinforcements and watch this Ben Stiller/Edward Norton/Jenna Elfman religious romcom.
Third Watch - Accessible on Tubi Procedural about first responders - Dag plays a morally dubious counselor that one of the EMTs gets the hots for. I actually beg everyone to watch this for a gorgeous shot of Dag over a voiceover "this chick is hot. if liz hurley and that other european chick who was in that one bond movie had a love child, this chick would be it" fair description! Rock Star ★ - Musical drama where Dag plays Tania, PR for a rock band and their resident hot girl. She's not in it a ton, but she's got a great scene where she gets to make out with Jennifer Aniston. Spoilers + transphobia CW - it's revealed midway that Tania is a trans woman, and while not really played for laughs, Mark Wahlberg's character is uncomfortable around her afterwards and she's effectively removed from the plot. The Count of Monte Cristo ♡ - Free on Youtube hell yeah! Dag plays Mercedes, the primarily love interest. She appears in the beginning scenes and after the 2/3 mark, but is pivotal to the plot. she's in some really gorgeous dresses and i assume the crew loved her because she looks fantastic the entire time. also, super great deleted scene here @ the 7 minute mark. They - On youtube! Unfortunately dull horror movie. Dag plays Terry, one of the adults experiencing night terrors based on childhood events. She only appears in a handful of scenes, but has a solo scene around the halfway point. It's alright? SVU ★ - On Hulu and Peacock. TW for CSA and graphic depictions of murder (its SVU). we all know SVU. if you don't im sorry you've missed out on the epic highs and lows of watching people get the shit knocked out of them and for a detective to connect it back to some random man they knew in high school. Dag has a prominent guest episode role as Kate, appearing at the halfway mark as a Europol agent who helps one of the characters track down a child trafficker. A lot of her walking around gorgeously and what's frankly, a great performance! She plays sensitive but firm detective very well. On Hulu and Peacock. CSA tw- suggestive images are shown of an actress who was 19 at the time, but portrayed at 14.
Tough Luck ★ - On Tubi. Please watch it. Honestly, I think worth the watch just for how weird it is. Dag plays Divana, the female lead and wife of a circus. owner. you read that right! there's a plot twist and i won't tell you what it is, but just know. i did not see it coming. On Tubi. Please watch it.
Bad Apple - I'm not even sure what to say about this movie? Dag plays Gina in a crime (?) thriller. She's sprinkled throughout the movie and is the main love interest for some guy. I genuinely enjoyed this movie but I'd suggest watching it under the influence of something to maximize the viewing experience. The Five People You Meet in Heaven - on vimeo Religious made for TV movie set in the 1940s/50s. Dag plays Marguerite, the main character's wife and oh my god she is so pretty. she's so gorgeous and talented. what was i saying? its set in a boardwalk? okay. i'll even ignore the weird racist subplot with like. a genie. sometimes we have to pay the fucking bills okay. 24 - on Hulu. Who the hell made this show up? 24 is a drama series where every season takes place in 24 hours and every episode is one hour of the day. Insane concept. Dag appears briefly as an evil lady - she's got a gun and looks great and wears some gorgeous earrings. Trust the Man - 2000s romcom! Dag has a brief role as Pamela and goes on a date with one of the male leads, there's a follow up scene where they talk briefly. Not a lot of screen time, but you know. If you're in a bad romcom mood. Mentor - on youtube Dag has the lead female role as Julia, a graduate assistant who's romantically involved with an older writing professor. She is great in this, injecting a bunch of charisma into a fairly bland film. Lonely Hearts - Warning for Jared Leto and moderate violence. Drama based on the real life murderers Martha Beck and Ray Fernandez - Dag plays Delphine, one of their victims. Dag is once again, a real talent and can truly transform what's on the page. She's got a brutal scene where she confesses her pregnancy to Salma Hayek that she executes perfectly. Also, she looks absolutely stellar in the 1940s styling. She appears around the 2/3 mark, which I recommend skipping to to minimize your Leto exposure. Helena from the Wedding - On Pluto Tangent time! My friends on discord and I made this horrific little fake movie universe called Going Down with all of our favorite middle aged actresses (including Dag and Melanie Lynskey). and who is in this? Melanie and Dag! They're paired together and have nice chemistry in this indie drama. It's pretty slow and they're scattered throughout the film, but I still recommend watching for Dag's microbangs.
Higher Ground ★ ♡ - on Roku. Do not. ask me about this film. don't even bring it in my vicinity. Dag plays Annika, the best friend to Vera Farmiga's religious main character. Dag is fantastic, she's witty and charming to Vera's more demure character and they are super homoerotic. Like Tough Luck, I actually beg you to watch this. The Good Wife ♡- On Amazon for free. Lawyer procedural - Dag has a prominent guest role as a lawyer(?) for a South American company. Honestly she's not given much, but I love her suit. I mean, its the good wife, it's like pretty good. Suits - On Netflix and Peacock Dude this is the show Megan Markle is in? Huh? Anyways - Dag has a brief role as a woman who faced sexual discrimination in her workplace. She's only got 2 scenes, but she's like...there! Felix the Painter -On Vimeo A short film about a struggling artist, but more importantly, Dagmara looking stunning and speaking french. Go girls! On Vimeo Person of Interest - Free on Amazon - TW for domestic violence Dag plays a woman helped by the main characters in escaping her abusive husband. Not the most creative role ever, but Dag does well with the stuff she's given, especially in a really short timeframe. The Immigrant ★ - On Pluto - TW for domestic violence and nudity. Dag has a minor role as Belva, one of the burlesque performers working for Joaquin Pheonix's character. She's only got three scenes, two in the beginning and one closer to the 2/3 mark, so not much to say, but a good film overall. Jack Strong - On Tubi A Polish drama featuring her husband Patrick Wilson, Dag plays a FBI agent going undercover in Poland during the Cold War. While Dag's role is fairly minor, her real life history as a Polish immigrant who fled to the US due to her father's political ties makes it worth the watch. It is, however, NUTS that she didn't actually get to play a pole. what the hell guys.
Boardwalk Empire - On HBO Dag has a guest role as a drunk bar patron. She's engaging to watch and I mean, it's Boardwalk Empire. Worth the watch. Let's Kill Ward's Wife - On Youtube A dark comedy film made with some of her friends and husband, Dag plays Ward's wife and does. guess what. get murdered! She's insufferable (but ngl I was on her character's side), which means she did her job well, but jesus. I could not stand this film.
The Deuce - On HBO Dag's got a brief role as a. adult film consultant? and wears a pretty turtleneck and has curly hair in this 70s drama. This is where she met Maggie Gyllenhaal, who would go on to cast her in The Lost Daughter! Also, apparently Dag's scenes were heavily cut down in this episode :(
Abe - On Youtube Dag plays ARIAN MOAYED's wife. It's a drama about a half Israeli, half Palestinian family. Unfortunatley, in light of Noah Schnapp's actions surrounding the genocide occuring in Palestine, I would suggest you not watch.
Prodigal Son ★- Free on the CW Drama series! Dag has a small guest spot as an assassin called the Nightingale. She looks great and gets a fun fight sequence! The Assistant - On HBO Maybe this film was good? I don't know. I was hunting for Dag and she got ONE LINE at the VERY END. Mattmac jumpscare halfway in and his big sad horse eyes.
The Lost Daughter ♡ - On Netflix Drama featuring the Olivia Colman! Dag plays Callie, pregnant sister in law to Dakota Johnson's character. I watched this movie when it came out and did not recognize Dag at all! She's scattered throughout and I barely understood this film, but, oh Dag. Her Jersey(?) accent was a beacon of light to my confusion.
We Own this City ♡ - On HBO- Warning for graphic violence and police brutality. Biopic about the Baltimore Police Department's Gun Trace Task Force and the horrific corruption that took place. Dag has a supporting role as Erika, a FBI agent investigating the Task Force. Not a super prominent role since the show balances between flash backs and the investigation, but a well made show that's very worth the watch. She gets to play a flute. The Accidental Wolf ★- I did not see this but Arian Moayed wrote and directed this? Succ supporting cast I love you! You can find Dag presenting Arian an AAM award here. My Love Affair with Marriage ♡ ★ Dag plays the lead in this funky animated film about womanhood and marriage. Honestly on first watch it wasn't my favorite, but I've really come to love it's weird musical numbers and plot. Dag has a great vocal performance as Zelma, she really has some magnetic quality to her voice. Succession ♡ ★- On HBO Dag plays Karolina Novotney, head of Communications in this drama series. The show is a little slow and honestly not for me-- can you imagine. No, Succession is the series of all time and she plays THE Karolina Novotney, hot lesbian and resident man hater. Give me a scene where she isn't glaring Tom down. Go shivlina, go girls, I'm a fan. She delivers a fantastic and subtle performance, particularly in the fourth season. I love you Karolina Novotney. Bottoms ♡♡♡♡♡- BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dag plays a milf Priscilla ♡ - On HBO. Dag plays Ann Beaulieu, Priscilla's mom. She's pretty wonderful in this as well and gets to show off such a wide range of emotions. I love anything period piecey and Priscilla is a greattt film that actually engages with the crazy power dynamic between Elvis and Priscilla. Love Miller's Girl - On Netflix This movie was nottt for me, BUT. I loveee Dag's character in this. She's a mean horny lady named Beatrice and I swear to god my mind was REWIRED hearing Dag say "Or are some cunts....remarkable?" Honestly blows everyone else out of the water since they're doing these godawful Tennessee accents.
Congrats if you made it to the end of this review! Feel free to message me or send an ask if you watch any of these.

Al Pacino is 82 and a small production shouldn’t be able to afford him so I wonder if maybe he isn’t in many scenes even though the story is about him (like Brando in Apocalypse now and Charlie is Martin Sheen, lol, you see what I mean)
Kinda depends on what synopsis you read lol; Billy (Pacino) is obviously pivotal and idk if he’ll just have a few scenes from the original description at least—he sounded and still sounds more impt than that. But I think Alex will def have more scenes overall and is about his journey more. The later descriptions also give Emily more of a role.
Here’s the IMDb synopsis:

a few of my favorite disturbing horror movies
morbid and gross stuff <3 this isn't the worst of the worst, I think most of these are probably safe for people who are just getting into more disturbing horror. You're not gonna see, like, Vomit Enema Ecstasy or anything on here, lol. Still, tread carefully! Blanket TWs for things like suicide, self harm, and sexual assault, I'd look into the individual films more closely if you're worried about potentially upsetting material.
Also, most of these are not in English. I noted what language each of them are in, but they all also have English subtitles available!
Anyway here you go:
1. Martyrs (French)
A young woman's quest for revenge against the people who kidnapped and tormented her as a child leads her and a friend, who is also a victim of child abuse, on a terrifying journey into a living hell of depravity. (via IMDb)
Why I find it disturbing: Deeply depressing. The gore might be bad but the crushing of your soul is much worse. Extreme depictions of trauma, guilt, and GRAPHIC self harm.
I've seen objectively more fucked up movies since I first watched this one, but I honestly don't think anything has hit me quite like Martyrs. It made me feel hollow and empty inside lol. Excellent film, if you can handle it I definitely recommend it.
2. Ichi the Killer (Japanese + a little English)
As sadomasochistic yakuza enforcer Kakihara searches for his missing boss he comes across Ichi, a repressed and psychotic killer who may be able to inflict levels of pain that Kakihara has only dreamed of achieving. (via IMDb)
Why I find it disturbing: Gross! Nasty! Vile!
This one is much more comedic in tone than my last pick. It probably won't upset you emotionally, but it'll gross you out and shock you, and show you some borderline unacceptable content.
3. Eden Lake (English)
Refusing to let anything spoil their romantic weekend break, a young couple confront a gang of loutish youths with terrifyingly brutal consequences. (via IMDb)
Why I find it disturbing: Children doing terrible violence. Grim, bleak nihilism.
The ending of this movie cemented it deep in my soul and hurt me very bad :)
4. Inside (French)
Four months after the death of her husband, a woman on the brink of motherhood is tormented in her home by a strange woman who wants her unborn baby. (via IMDb)
Why I find it disturbing: Gore and blood! She's stabbing people with those bigass scissors and you see ALL of it.
Probably my favorite home invasion movie, it's got great tension. It's also just so so nasty <3
5. The Sadness (Mandarin)
A young couple trying to reunite amid a city ravaged by a plague that turns its victims into deranged, bloodthirsty sadists. (via IMDb)
Why I find it disturbing: Like the description says, lots of sadistic violence.
"Zombie" action horror, but nastier than anything else I've seen in the subgenre. They really go all the way.
6. Art of the Devil 2 (Thai)
A group of high school friends reunite after two years when one of their fathers' committed suicide. They all spend the night at their friend's place. When darkness falls, strange things begin to happen to them one by one. It is as if someone is using the black arts on them in revenge for an act this group of friends committed together back at high school. (via IMDb, but specifically someone named Ploy P. bc IMDb doesn't provide an official description. Thank you Ploy P.!)
Why I find it disturbing: Nasty and gross, very visceral to me.
This is actually from a popular Thai horror series, but you can watch it as a stand-alone (it's the best one IMO). I love anything about curses and black magic and the repercussions of using them, so this is just right up my alley. And it's got an awesome atmosphere!

Hellsite Nostalgia Tour 2023 Day 261
The One You’ve Been Waiting For
“The One You’ve Been Waiting For”
Plot Description: time ticks away as a clan of nazi necromancers plots to unleash Hitler’s captive soul from an enchanted gold pocket watch
You have no idea how much I want to skip this based on description alone
Would I Survive the First Five Minutes??: I don’t know if I could necessarily avoid being the first victim who burned to death from this watch, but I certainly wouldn’t have picked it up AFTER that happened
Dean, babes…stop touching things. You’re just breaking—DIDNT YOU JUST AGREE TO STOP TOUCHING THINGS??
It’s so weird make Dean reiterate that he hates nazis AGAIN when you could just as easily NOT PUT THEM IN YOUR SHOW. AGAIN.
Wtf wtf wtf, why’d they just burn that girl’s date?? Who is she? Why’s she important?
And a [fandom redacted] reference? When MY mind went to the pocket watches the Doctor and the Master had and stored their memories in?
Oh, of course she’s a great grandniece it something
Ok so I have been sitting here going “this girl is so familiar but I just. can’t. place. her.” So I go to the IMDb page for this episode and find the actress
Tumblr media
IT’S GIGI DARCY FROM THE LIZZIE BENNET DIARIES!!!
Can she stop getting abducted??
The fact that this aired in mid November 2016 and they’re talking about the falling of empires and unstable nations and that being the perfect conditions for their leader’s return……..I fucking hate it
Ok ok ok. This is such a weird moment for misogyny. Like, I’m glad Gigi isn’t gonna be Hitler, but the fact that they won’t put his soul in her because she’s a millennial woman is just….like…what now? So they’re doing a blood transfusion into the necromancer guy so HE’LL have that family blood in his veins…because it’s VERY LITERAL. This episode is awful lol
Whyyyyy’s he need to go on twitter so badly? I’m not joking at all when I say I hate this episode. If this was supposed to be some kind of commentary, it’s not really making the point it’s trying to, but if it’s not (which I suspect), it’s really badly timed
WHY DID YOU EVER HESITATE SHOOTING HIM, DEAN?
Man, can’t believe Dean accomplished what River Song couldn’t? Didn’t?
Also…this arrived today and I just…the exhausted sigh I let out when I opened the package

this is a good spoiler free description of the movie on imdb
Tumblr media
i had no idea what to expect from the movie going into it and no matter what you think is going to happen you are just dead wrong lol. it starts out a little slow but then takes you on a wild crazy and totally bizarre ride. i lost track of the amount of times i said “what the fuck” 😂 and my jaw was on the floor by the end of the movie. it’s one of the most unique horrors i’ve ever seen.

Anna May Wong as Annabelle Wu in a Forty Winks (1925) promotional photo. Forty Winks is considered to be a lost film. This would have been an interesting movie to watch judging from its description/plot summary! Plot summary from IMDb: “The Butterworth family attorney Gaspar Le Sage, and a suitor for the hand of Eleanor Butterworth, persuades a beautiful Eurasian adventuress, Annabelle Wu, to help him steal the official plans for the coastal defense of California from Eleanor's brother, Lieutenant Butterworth. Annabelle gets the susceptible lieutenant drunk at a roadhouse, steals his keys, and gets the plans. Blame for the theft is placed on British secret service agent Lord Chumley, engaged to Eleanor, who immediately sets out to clear his own name and save the family honor. He prevents young Butterworth from killing himself, recovers the documents, and saves Eleanor, who has been abducted, in desperation, by Le Sage.” -Pamela Short And yes, I did copy & paste this from the last I posted photos from Forty Winks. Lol. Her costume here is very art deco-ish. Since there are a lot more new fans since DCM/Atlantis era, I thought I might compile a list of the links and names of Minho's dramas and films he's been in! I'll put it all under the cut and I'll try to keep it update since he seems intent on being booked and busy lol
The Pianist (2010) [youtube] - "Oh Je Ro is a musical genius who had always dream of learning the piano, but had to work in a piano factory as tuner instead of going to school in order to support his sick father. He had despaired of ever being given a chance to learn and thought the name his father gave him sounded like "Oh, Zero", signifying his lack of hope in the future. This changes when he meets an elementary school teacher, Yoon In Sa, and begins a delicate love story with her." (personal note: While you can tell it's his first time acting outside of SHINee's mvs, he's still super cute (granted, I'm very biased, so that anything I say with a grain of salt lol)
Salamander Guru and the Gang (2012) [dramacool] - "A pair of common thieves and a young computer hacker run a fortunetelling scam, while helping people with their personal problems in their spare time." (note: Kibum and Taemin do cameo in this, as well)
To The Beautiful You (2012) [viki] [dramacool] - "A high school girl who's inspired by a gold-medal High Jumper devises a scheme to motivate him by attending his school."
Medical Top Team (2013) [viki] [dramacool] [Minho-only cut] - "A team of elite doctors treats patients while dealing with power struggles within the hospital."
Because It's the First Time (2015) [dramacool] - "A group of young people gather on a rooftop and tell their stories." (note: Taeoh's friends absolutely did not deserve him 😤)
Canola (2016) [dramacool] - "Twelve years after having lost her grand daughter at a market, grand mother and grand daughter become reunited. But things are not as good and perfect as they were twelve years earlier. (note: his first movie! 🥺)
Drinking Solo (2016) [dramacool] - "The story depicts people drinking alcohol alone for different reasons and the romance between Jin Jeong Seok and Park Ha Na. They both work at a private institute for people preparing for their civil service examinations in Noryangjin, Seoul. He is an arrogant, but popular instructor and she is a rookie instructor who struggles to survive in the private institute world." (note: full disclosure, I could not stand the main leads, but I was watching this for Kibum anyways, and he was phenomenal lol Minho just has a cameo appearance in this, and that's episode 5, I believe)
Derailed (2016) [dramacool] - "Four runaways trying to survive and make ends meet struggle day by day. Enter Ma Dong-Seok. He tried to help but they took advantage of the wrong guy. So it's the classic mistake of wrong guy at the wrong time." (note: one of my favorite roles he's done. he didn't have to go as hard as he did but he did and i'm grateful)
Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016-2017) [viki] [dramacool] - "Revolves around an elite group of male warrior youth called Hwarang who grow through passion and love in Seorabeol, the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla." (note: i have watched this....many times. I love it unapologetically. Kim Sooho has done nothing wrong ever in his life)
Somehow 18 (2017) [dramacool] - "A handsome orthopedic surgeon loses his first love who committed suicide when he was in his high school days. To save her he gets the chance to go back in time."
The Most Beautiful Goodbye in the World (2017) [dramacool] - "The story revolves around a family with their highs and lows when their beloved mother only has one month left to live." (note: I bought this one on dvd so i could watch it when I'm ready but it sounds so sad 🥺 i have to psych myself up for it)
The Princess and the Matchmaker (2018) [dramacool] - "Princess Songhwa refuses her fate of marrying someone who matches her marital harmony. There are four men on her future husband list with different fate signs. Refusing her fate, she decides to leave the palace and find her husband by herself. Seo Do Yoon is a person who interprets marital harmony signs. He is very skilled at his craft and, consequently, selected as the one to read the marital harmony signs between Princess Songhwa and the four men on her husband list."
Illang: The Wolf Brigade (2018) [dramacool] - "Set in the distant future where both North and South Koreas agree to establish a joint government, which has been in preparation for a duration of seven years, the plot focuses on political uprisings on opposing sides which grow fierce when a special police unit is formed to stop the chaos." (note: 🥺😭)
The Battle of Jangsari (2019) [viki] [dramacool] - "A unit of student soldiers on a diversionary mission for the Battle of Incheon during the Korean War in 1950." (note: yeah so i was a complete mess for like the last twenty minutes so just prepare yourself (it's well worth it, though, he was absolutely amazing in this))
Lovestruck in the City (2020-2021) [dramacool] - "Park Chae Won, an honest and overly passionate architect who loves the city streets. After a woman that he calls the “camera thief” steals his heart one summer night and then disappears, he is unable to get over her. Lee Eun Oh, a freelance marketer who spontaneously decides to adopt a false identity in an unfamiliar place. She accidentally ends up falling in love with Park Chae Won while posing as the free-spirited Yoon Sun Ah."
Yumi's Cells (2021) [viki] [dramacool] - "The story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi-from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action." (note: just, so adorable so far. Minho plays a side character who shows up occasionally (heavily in the first two episodes), but the story is based off of a web comic that I read when I found out he got cast as Wook and honestly it's worth the watch even if he wasn't in it)

TWN: Witchers
So! I was minding my own business a few nights ago, playing a game on my phone, when I thought to look up the names of the actors who played witchers in TWN season two. My train of thought was as follows: "Oh, TWN didn't give us much personality for many of the witchers, maybe the actors that played them have had other, similar roles I that actually had personality, which I can use as a basis for their witcher’s personality. Alternately, I could stalk their social media so see what kind of a person they are." Lo and behold, IMDb had only officially credited the actors who had been credited by Netflix in the show. Said actors, the witchers they acted as, and their Instagram account handles are as follows:
Basil Eidenbenz - Eskel (basil.eidenbenz)
Paul Bullion - Lambert (paulbullion)
Yasen Atour - Coën (yasenatour)
Nathanial Jacobs - Everard (n.amosjay)
Jota Castellano - Gwain/Gawain (jota.castellano)
Chuey Okoye - Merek (chueyokoye)
Kim Bodina - Vesemir (doesn’t have one)
Henry Cavill - Geralt (henrycavill)
Now, that's all well and good, but in the wide shot in S2E2 where almost all witchers can be seen in one frame (here's a link to a tweet that has said picture, and some close-ups), we can see eleven (11) total witchers, and Eskel, who barges in right after said wide shot, makes a total of twelve (12) Netflix-canonical witchers. Didn’t Geralt say that there were 20 of them, when he last counted? What about the other 8 TWN? Turn on your location, I just wanna talk —
Speaking of Netflix-canonical facts, I figured refreshing my memory of TWN's page on the witchers who died in their sleep (Everard, Gawain (spelling discrepancy), Merek) couldn't hurt. Disappointingly, said page revealed no other information about said witchers.
So I went back to IMDb and saw that on the full list of credits, two more actors are credited:
Joel Adrian - Hemrik (Instagram, S2 wrap post)
Max Kraus - Tolbert (Instagram, Instagram post about 'The Good Part' of working on TWN (the few shots of using google maps to get to what i can only assume is the set is a Mood))
They're both uncredited for four (4) episodes, which is HALF THE SEASON. I am EXTREMELY angry about this. What the fuck.
Up to 10 named witchers, yaaay.
The tweet I linked to of the wide shot with almost all witchers visible in it gave the remaining two witchers the names of Diever and Vartok. However, google is unhelpful, as is instagram. And yet I persisted.
I swear to goodness I waded through IMDb for at least an hour trying to find names of stunt performers who were in both S2E2 (Kaer Morhen) and S2E8 (Family, in which there was a big battle at KM), but my search was unfruitful. Desperate, I went to Instagram.
Now I’d like to rant here a moment about how I Do Not Like Instagram. It’s hosted by facebook — sorry, “Meta” — and on the iOS app, you have to hit the screen Six Different Times to get to posts you’ve liked. That’s at least four times too many, in my opinion. So this was unfamiliar territory for me. I thought I’d be able to use IG’s search function, and it would work, and I’d easily find the actors’ names and wash my hands of the whole thing.
So you can imagine my disappointment when IG’s search function failed me.
Nevertheless, I stomped through the metaphorical swamp of IG, and I have emerged successful.
Just so we're all on the same page, I was trying to find the actors/stunt doubles who played the witchers labeled Diever and Vartok in the wide shot. Any sort of canonical confirmation. Their names would be nice, but not necessary. From the other images in that tweet, I was looking for an Asian man and a white guy with a beard. Can't be too hard, right?
lol NOPE
For those curious, my actions were as follows:
Jota Castellano has a picture on IG of him and five other witchers. (I’d post the pic here, but I’m on mobile, and I need to sleep but I need to finish this post more, let me live)
In the description of said photo, he tags all the TWN-canon witchers. #Vartok gets you literally nine results, so I decided to look under #Diever.
Before perusing said tag, I decided to go in reverse chronological order using the “Recent” tab, as opposed to the “Top” tab.
Y’all. I don’t think I can properly express the feeling of excitement that overtook me when I saw what I can only guess is a character poster for an Asian witcher. I was honestly about to jump out of bed, but I resisted and clicked on it.
Lo and behold, I’d like to introduce y’all to Nicolas Wang, who played Diever in TWN.
Since Nicolas Wang seems to care about giving proper credit, I was pleasantly surprised to see that he tagged a handle I was unfamiliar with.
Meet Lachlan Parkinson (edit: this used to say 'Peterson', I was wrong, his last name is Parkinson), who played Vartok in TWN. As of the time I’m posting this, their most recent IG post is of Peterson’s eyes blacked out with black veins around them, similar to the effect we saw on Cavill’s face when Geralt took whatever potion he took in I think S1.
So far as I can tell, neither of them has been credited on IMDb or in the Netflix credits. I don’t know if that was a stipulation in their contracts, but here we are: all twelve TWN witchers have names and actors.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk, I guess?

Team Smithereen reunion special when?? (never)
Nostalgic for Team Smithereen again. That show is literally so violent but it’s puppets so it’s fiiiiiine isn’t it lol
I think they may have lost episodes actually. Perhaps stuff that was too disturbing to put on Disney’s website? I’m really only saying that cuz I’ve been watching their behind-the-scenes videos, & there was new footage I’d never seen before. Felt like one of those lost episode creepypastas but like. it was literally right there?? Like one of the bts videos showed a shot of Whoop on fire with his skeleton visible... that’s not in any of the episodes I’ve ever seen.
... Anyways, when I was a kid I had a dream that there was a Team Smithereen special episode (longer than the usual ~2 minute length) where the boys meet up after being separated for years. Stunt Pig was just not there for whatever reason... prooooobably because he likes making everything worse & they didn’t want to look for him, lmao. And they talk, just like in the pilot! (though, if you ask me, I rlly dislike their voices in the pilot. I much prefer how they sound in the actual show...)
As you can probably guess, Whoop and Thrill Kat were my favorites. Also, when I was a kid, I thought Thrill Kat was a girl. I don’t really know why, like maybe it was because of his voice..? Though tbf, the descriptions for the episodes used to be notoriously vague, they only mentioned characters by name in a few episode descriptions (Whoop being the exception, his name is in at least 1 title), let alone referring to them using pronouns. I also used to call Brave Little Francis ‘Stitches’ as a kid, since I think I learned his name last.
genuinely though, does anyone know if all the episodes are available somewhere?? There’s fragments of the series on youtube and vimeo, but I KNOW that’s not all of it. Like, I think my first exposure to the Ring of Fire stunt or the Smoothie stunt episodes was literally just behind the scenes footage. 2 of the stunt lab episodes are missing from what I can tell, and I think the aforementioned really disturbing episode shown in the bts footage is the one listed as ‘Maui Owie’ on the imdb page, since it’s the odd one out.

Everything We Know about Laura Milkovich
So, in the 11x09 promo a photo of Terry and some girl is shown. We know from the episode description that the storyline for this episode will be about a “surprising truth” about Terry’s past. Ian&Mick in the promo are also carrying a box, which will eventually be set on fire (we know this from a different promo).
I decided I wanted to make a list of all the mentions we’ve gotten of Laura Milkovich over the past eleven seasons just so we all know the canon facts! Not to say that Shameless doesn’t have a continuity issue... because we all know they most definitely do! I’d take this with a grain of salt I guess.
**Note: we have never seen her onscreen ever and it is alluded that she was never around.**
1. 1x03
Mickey mentions to Lip that his mother went to go pick up Iggy from prison and that they were throwing a party for him later.
2. 2x09
Ian says to Mandy: “you’re lucky your moms dead”, Mandy agrees with him.
3. 2x10
Mandy tells Ian that sometimes Terry mistakes her for her mother and rapes her.
4. 3x01
Mandy says: “I’m not my mom, thirteen with my brother on her hip”. And continues on to say that her mother was twelve when she got pregnant.
5. 10x08
When Ian and Mickey go to get married at the court house, if you zoom in on Mickey’s papers, we see that his mother’s name is Laura.
6. 10x12
Mickey says: “...before my mom ran out when she still could buy us Christmas presents...”.
This could all mean a number of things, many have speculated that maybe all the Milkoviches have different mothers. Idk! There’s also a woman listed as a character named Rachel on IMDb that SORT OF resembles the pic, again idk! But any who:
If I left ANYTHING out please let me know, although I believe that is all... until hopefully 11x09. Maybe we will get some answers!
Also if you want more on the Milkovich family tree, or things about them mentioned throughout the series, maybe I’ll make another list and go much more into detail! There’s so many things I find interesting lol like the Aunt Mandy visited in 3x04 (Aunt Rande), maybe she’s Sandy’s mom LOL! Idk! Anyway:
Thanks for reading! 💙☺️

ok i don't know where it came from but a new description for the episode says gerri's giving roman an ultimatum mmm that's different from drawing a line in the sand
inch eresting...if you have that i'd love to see it! imdb and the hbo schedule still have the same summary as far as i can tell
that being said, though, i don't necessarily see those as being all that different in terms of descriptor (i've been casually referring to it as an ultimatum myself since i see those as sort of interchangeable lol). i think in either phrasing, it comes down to gerri giving roman a choice...the difference instead being, presumably, "here's a line and if you cross it we're done" versus "here's an action you need to do/follow and if you don't or can't, we're done" (or vice versa)
either way reading the description again it seems like the likeliest outcome is "if you can't stop flirting with me/if you keep talking about me dating other men/if you continue trying to spin something sexual out of this, we can't work together any more", but there's also room for it to be a business strategy choice or a renegotiation of their alliance...plus there's always room for some dreadful surprise where it's none of those things! 🤪🙃

do u have any recs for woman led revenge stories?
hello friend! i have been consulting ppl for recommendations bc i was only able to think of one on my own but i still wasnt able to come up with much unfortunately... but what i have is this:
my immediate thought was Colombiana (2011) starring BELOVED zoe saldana, this film is FUCKING EXCELLENT and SO FUN ive seen it so many times and it always hits!! zoe witnesses her parents get murdered as a child and grows up to be an assassin, slowly taking out those who hurt her family. its very john wick-esque and VERY satisfying to watch her get her decades-old revenge.
my sister recommended Widows (2018) with viola davis. i havent seen this one but i rmmbr wanting to very badly bc the trailer looked great and also like. viola davis...hello. heres the imdb description: "Four women with nothing in common except a debt left behind by their dead husbands' criminal activities take fate into their own hands and conspire to forge a future on their own terms."
my sister also recommended Halloween (2018) with jamie lee curtis. again havent it (or any of the halloween movies LOL...) but i think essentially its jamie lee curtis' character, who is a final girl, getting revenge on michael meyers. relatedly, the second part of this like reboot/revisit series, Halloween Kills, just recently came out so if ur into that then theres smth else u can go see !!
i was rly trying to think of recs by way of books but all i could come up with was The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix, but tbh it wasnt RLY a revenge plot? it was still a fun read tho; it's about a group of "final girls" (survivors of serial murderers) who have been meeting for support, as it says on the tin. but then they start getting targeted by a new killer...and predictably it spirals from there. so its kind of a revenge against their past trauma ig? as they deal w the new killer? for sure woman-led tho!
and my sister rec'd the Millennium series by Stieg Larsson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first book of this series). i havent read them nor seen the movies, and i think she said specifically the second book in this series is moreso a revenge plot. not totally sure on this one, sorry!
i wish i had more for u but i hope that there was at least one thing on this list that seems interesting!!! if u come across anything good in this theme yourself, pls do let me know!!
