Sabrina x John + Camera <3

Sabrina owns a polaroid camera, keeping pictures as mementos is something that started with her dad as a little tradition (even has a couple laying around of Candice from the good old days) and she still does it with Savannah, so you bet she would force John to take some and if he dares to complain about it or dare to say anything about vanity, she'd go: "Remind me again, who has billboards with their face plastered on them all over the region? Yeah, so smile, Seed, I don't want to hear it." 😂

Sunlight streams in through the window above the balcony doors, rudely awakening Sybille from her slumber. She’s curled up tight against Jacob’s side with her back pressed up against the wall. He lies between her and the rest of the room, shielding her from the world. The heat of his body keeps her warm despite the mid-November chill. 

Her face scrunches as she squeezes her eyes tightly shut and she groans, rousing against her will. Jacob’s thumb had been stroking soft lines on the skin of her upper arm, but as she shifts, he stops. His arm tightens around her. “What time is it?” she slurs, rubbing the crust from her eyes. 

“Just past eight,” he says. His own voice is low and rough, it almost lulls her right back to sleep. 

“Shit,” she groans.

“Go back to sleep,” he tells her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head and resuming tracing patterns lightly over her skin.  

“But there’s shit to do,” she mutters. What exactly, she isn’t sure, but she knows there must be something. After all the havoc she’s caused against the Project, she has no doubt she’ll be directly helping to clean up the very messes she made for them. 

She tries to pull away, to get up -- they’ve already wasted precious hours of daylight -- but he pulls her back down and pins her against his chest. “Already disobeying orders?” he asks. His tone is playful, but the pitch is low with just the right amount of vocal fry to send a shiver down her spine. “I’d hate to write you up for insubordination on your first day.”

Sybille huffs a quiet laugh and settles back down against him. “I think you’re lyin’,” she says. Her eyelids begin to droop as his hand drifts up to stroke her hair. “I think you’d love to find some way to punish me in front of your men. Show them you've got the Deputy under your thumb.”

“Not as much as I’d like to punish you privately.”

She gives the meat above his hip a light pinch before resting her head against his chest and throwing an arm around his waist. It’s then that she notices the open book laying face down across his stomach. “What are you reading?” she asks. 

“Meditations,” he answers, angling the beat up paperback towards her. The pages are yellowed and its cover is nearly falling off. On the spine is a tattered sticker marking it as property of the Rome-Floyd County Library. “Marcus Aurelius. Ancient Roman emperor and philosopher.”

“I thought the Romans were weak?” she teases, remembering the speech he’d once given her. 

“They were at the end. As all great empires are. They got too big. Too greedy. Too lazy. Singular men may have been strong, but when society tears itself apart, it becomes vulnerable to invading and destructive forces.” 

She hums thoughtfully. “And Marcus Aurelius was a strong man?”

Jacob is quiet for a long moment, and she doesn’t need to look at him to know that he’s deep in thought. The room is silent, save for the ticking of the alarm clock on the filing cabinets above them and the occasional shouts coming from the courtyard outside. In the quiet, Sybille nearly drifts off, but eventually Jacob says, “He was a good man.”

There’s a peculiar strain in the way he says it, one Sybille has come to learn means there’s a certain sense of longing. Regardless of the state it was in when he found it, it’s obvious Jacob has read this book cover to cover multiple times. He could probably recite parts of it in his sleep. 

The weight of her eyelids finally drags them shut, and she feels her own breath and heartbeat slow to match Jacob’s. The thick blanket of sleep begins to wrap around her. “Read to me,” she says, and her head nuzzles against his chest. She doesn’t know much about Marcus Aurelius, but she knows Jacob admires him. 

She’d like to know why.

But perhaps she’ll have to wait for another time. As soon as he begins reading to her, the vibrations of his chest almost immediately rock her back to sleep.

Currently thinking about Joseph and his visions... How he probably saw not just his siblings but also Lucas die in every imaginable way. And Lucas just withstood it.

How Joseph saw Lucas die in the helicopter wreck and yet the man crawled out and survived.

How Joseph saw Lucas die in multiple encounters with both Rebellion and his own people, laying his life down trying to do what he thought was right. And yet Lucas walked out of every encounter, sometimes bruised and battered but alive.

How Joseph saw Lucas be executed in the Jail by the Marshal saving Virgils life, and yet Lucas managed to disarm him before anything happened, keeping as many people alive as possible.

How Joseph saw Lucas be executed by his best friend for betraying them for Joseph. And yet Lucas survives, Joey unable to shoot him and the Marshal distracted when holding the death of Joseph's siblings over him and Lucas able to move so he only gets shot in the shoulder, still taking a massive hit but surviving.

How Joseph never tells Lucas about these visions so that the man doesn't know. This plays into him doubting the voice while they are in the bunker. He only tells Lucas when they are in the bunker.

The way Jonsa shippers keep insisting all over the Jon tag that Jon Snow is only interesting if he gets together with Sansa. We know!! Jonsa has always been a Sansa ship - by and for Sansa stans. 

Every Jonsa post I have read makes it clear how much they dislike book Jon Snow, his canon relationships and story arc. Which is why they rewrite the character with the Jonsa version being this unrecognizable, mangled and mutilated OC blob who has even less in common with the book version than even the show version.

That’s why they don’t read his chapters and headcanon his personality, narrative themes and story arcs as some kind of fairy tale prince whose story will have meaning only, only if he loves and marries Sansa.

That’s why they erase Arya from Jon’s story and write ‘metas’ on how GRRM will repeat Jon’s entire ADwD story with Sansa in TWoW, why they turn Dany into a villainous monster and keep telling everyone that Jon is boring because his story so far has apparently only been about prophecies and dragons....

Oh and also their Sansa is the most interesting character in the whole series  - her chapters are all about Sansa being an adept politician and making treaties with other leaders, negotiating, trying to save people, understanding her privilege, learning about other cultures, conflicted between duty and love, butting heads with her deputies, trying to grow food and she will teach Jon Snow how to be a wise politician leading to Jon murdering the evil Daenerys for his truest and fairest love in all of Westeros, Sansa Stark.

We get it - the bastard navigating the Westerosi class system and bigoted prejudices as he earns his way to the top will only be interesting as a prop side character to pro status quo Sansa Stark. And if GRRM does not write Jonsa, then the whole series is boring and useless and has no point to it....

The story is apparently not about the outcasts and the underdogs, the dregs of society, the characters who are trying to make something of themselves in an unjust world, who are ambitious and want better things for themselves, who are kind and want better things for others. Nah, all that is boring for these shippers.

 Again, this is what happens when one skips entire chapters of the characters and instead read Jonsa ‘metas’ and farcical theories on how GRRM is writing the entire book in secret code and all the characters in Jon’s story like Sam and Satin are actually code for Sansa and stand ins for Sansa, that whenever Jon thinks of Arya he is actually thinking deep in the recesses of his brain about Sansa, that Jon had a crush on Sansa because he couldn’t resist 11 year old Sansa’s beauty, that growing up he settled for ‘ugly’ Arya because as a bastard he just could not hope to ever get beautiful Sansa. That Jon’s story from AGoT to ADwD has no point or purpose and his actual story only starts when Sansa gets there....

If one really thinks that Jon Snow’s 42 POV chapters is him being a ‘cut and dried fantasy hero’ and that the character will be boring if he plays a main role in defeating the existential apocalyptic threat from beyond the Wall - a story that he has been part of from book one - in a grimdark high fantasy novel and instead his character will only be interesting if he transports to Disneyland, settles down with the most beautiful, wise and fair queen Sansa and they had ten children and lived happily ever after, then perhaps the Jonsa section of AO3 would be more suited to one’s reading than A Song of Ice and Fire by GRRM. Just saying.

What are your headcanons about the ghosts in Danny Phantom, what they were in life and how they died?

....That is a LOT of ghosts to go over, but I only really have a headcanon for one. I wouldn't say that thinking Ember died in an accidental house fire is a headcanon, since she talks about it in her song, in a very vague way. I haven't thought much about her backstory, aside from her being an outcast girl with big dreams and an unrequited love for a guy that asked her out as a joke or on a dare and then stood her up. This is also in her song. Some people think her name was "Amber" in life, but I think she was actually Ember, a girl that was named for her fiery-red hair.

My headcanon is for Nikolas "Skulker" Armbruster, who grew up as Jack Fenton's neighbor and got into ghosts because of the Fentons and their ghost-hunting. He didn't want to hunt them, though, he found them strangely beautiful and wanted to put them on display.

He went by "Skulker", because he thought it was more impressive than "Nikolas" and dyed his blond hair green and spiked it up, as well as started wearing biker leathers. His weapon of choice was a crossbow passed down in his family and various hunting traps.

After learning how to hunt and capture ghosts from Jack, who used to be a very competent ghost-hunter and is in recent years bumbling around with it because he actually didn't want to do it anymore but Maddie wants to study ghosts extensively, he started a big, fancy ghost museum that was shut down by newly-appointed ghost Sheriff Walker. During the shut down, Walker wounded him badly and he fled, where he was taken in by a witch.

The witch had a beautiful ghost with her, her younger brother that she used a spell to keep him with her, and he tried to capture him. Angry, the witch cursed him into that smaller, weaker form and then killed him.

He made his robotic body resemble who he was in life, to an extent, and he's not sure if Jack recognizes him or not, but he certainly did a double-take when he saw him and also Danny, who strongly resembles Jack's younger brother, Clay (OC) Fenton, a ghost-sympathizer that went missing after Jack went to college.

But, yeah, that's a lot of ghosts, and I haven't really thought of headcanons for most of them.

Also, as a side note, Jack and Nikolas fooled around a bit when they were teens but they didn't do anything further and it was mostly exploration. Still enough to make Danny feel ill if he ever found out. 🤣

Actually, I do have headcanons about Walker, too, but this is already getting pretty long. To put it vaguely, he was a sheriff in life that was killed by a thug during a prison riot and was taken in by the old Ghost Warden as his deputy. The old Warden went missing and was presumed dead after going to take down the Fentons, and, due to his nature, Clockwork couldn't see what happened to him. (Another OC, Gaea, Master of Form. Clockwork similarly can't see what Ghostwriter is up to, since he's Master of Fate or something, I can't remember right now.) Anyways, Walker got the job, changed his appearance to look more intimidating because he looked too sweet for the job and was ridiculed before and the rest is history.

duck: Ooof, with these two the verb definitely comes to mind first and how John would be joking to Sabrina about having things ("inaccurately") thrown at him and how he always "skillfully manages to evade them" (is it skill or luck, is up for debate).

"It was one sandwich. And you should have known better than to lurk around, Seed." He quirked an eybrow, "The cup?" "That was all Savannah." "I must ask... are there any other Donovans I should be looking out for, Deputy?"

The Project better have his insurance covered, that man is getting too comfy. 😂

📚: Favorite book or series?

My favorite series is, to no one's surprise, The Prophecies Begin. For whatever reason, though, one of my favorite books is SkyClan's Destiny. I reread it a ton when I was younger. I don't even especially like SkyClan; I think I just thought it was fun that there was a special secret fifth Clan where basically everything goes lol. They became really boring once they moved to the lakes; I always had a fun headcanon where essentially, SkyClan left the gorge to move to the forest only to find the four Clans gone, and then just kinda set up shop there. Too bad that'll never come to fruition though :P

⛺: Favorite clan?

I have a MAJOR soft spot for WindClan, especially the tunnelers. I don't think I would be a good WindClan cat lol, but I have a huge soft spot for them.

💓: First warrior cat oc?

My first warrior cat OC is Mousetail/star, who I made with a friend (who is still around Tumblr lol-- I'll ping him if he wants) when we were like 9. We were on the old Warriors site (rip) and the name generator gave us both the same name, or same prefix different suffix (it was like Wildhead or something it was not very good) so that night we sat around thinking about all the warrior cats we could and putting down their prefixes and suffixes and then we picked two off the list. His is Leafstorm/star (yes that's the name of a canon cat no neither of us owned Battles of the Clans yet; it would have been one of the newer books out) and they are sisters.

She used to be a fursona but as I grew and changed I kind of left her the way she was, so not so much anymore. She (and Leafstar) are the leaders of FernClan, a Clan we made with each other and any friends we could rope in (and yes, we were both the leader because we couldn't decide who should be deputy).

They were Brambleclaw/Squirrelflight kits at first inception and later once we decided that was cringe became random horseplace kits that were adopted into ThunderClan. All creative decisions have been left mostly as they were (although we did get rid of the comphet-- Mousestar has a kittypet wife who replaced "generic grumpy man cat mate") so the poor girls are basically constantly trapped in bad fanfiction hell.

I do still love her very much despite all that. She can't really be separated from Leafstar so I don't talk about her much on this blog though lol.

SWTOR Alliance Commander Ask Game

@dishonored-pendletwin came up with this ask game, so I figured I’d give it a try with my Sith Warrior Tyrrnith

1) Who’s your Alliance Commander? What class are they? Alignment? Random other facts you wanna share? Tyrrnith Zarmahan is my Alliance Commander. Sith Warrior, neutral (leaning slightly on the dark side), and generally a strict but honorable-type of leader

2) What’s a reason or two you like that this character is your Commander? Tyr’s been my oldest and favorite character of my SWTOR bunch. In universe, he also has the most leadership experience and arguably the closest ties to the Emperor, apart from Yulizzia.

3) What’s a reason or two you don’t like about them being Commander. Tyr can seem rather aloof and distant, and isn’t the best with understanding people on an emotional level. He tries, but he isn’t that good at it.

4) Why did this character of all your OCs become Commander? See 2.

5) Who did they side with? Did they stay loyal or go saboteur? Or maybe you headcanon they defect properly? Tyrrnith still remains loyal to the Empire. However, he doesn’t trust the new administration fully. He’s even slightly cautious around Vowrawn and Acina, his friends. However, he is still loyal to his homeland and remains dedicated...for now.

6) Are there any NPC’s from the class stories you’d like to see/HC join the Alliance? Ex: Master Timmns, Ardun Kothe, Watcher One, etc. Wouldn’t mind seeing Lord Rathari, since Tyr did spare him. And he became friends with Timmns.

7) How’s your OC feeling about the current Malgus situation? Tyr is definitely not the biggest fan of Malgus, and wants him to at least be restrained. He might’ve seen eye-to-eye with Malgus during his New Empire Revolt years back, but now, Tyr is convinced that good ol’ Mal is just insane by now.

8) Are any of your other OC’s part of the Alliance? If yes what do they do for the Alliance? Do they get along with your Commander? Let’s say all of them are. Yulizzia (Knight) is the Alliance’s Deputy Commander and  A'vash'l (Agent) works as the Alliance’s Spymaster alongside his husband Theron.  Baduenda (Trooper) and Hadisha (Hunter) act as frontline commanders and/or enforcers, Ascillan (Consular) and Lavissia (Inquisitor) are advisors to the Force Enclave, and Aellisu (Smuggler) works in the underworld with Hylo. Tyr gets along with some better (Yuli, Ael, A’vash’l), but is a tad bit distant with others (Badu, Lavi). 

9) How does your OC feel about Odessen? (Bonus: how do you feel about it) Tyr’s not a real big nature guy, and tends to prefer civilization to wilderness. Despite this, he has grown fond of the planet, even considering it to be a home.

10) How does your Commander feel about being the Commander? He’s had his doubts, absolutely, but for the most part, he’s been able to keep them underneath a confident exterior.

11) Favorite place in the Alliance base? Tyr really likes the cliffs just above the personal starship landing pad (the one connecting to the hangar) as a good meditation spot.

12) Favorite mission in KotFE? Why? The Hunt, because it gets across the tone of the expansion perfectly and acts as a great opening.

13) Favorite mission in KotET? Why? The Dragon’s Maw, mainly due to just how different it is from other missions in the game.

14) Least favorite mission in either? Why? Anarchy in Paradise, because good GOD those fucking Skytroopers and Knights.

15) Is your Commander successful because they’re skilled? Or are they perhaps just really lucky? Definitely because of skill and his ability to inspire people, though I like to imagine Tyr’s been lucky on occasion

16) From our OC’s point of view, SoR -> KotET wasn’t a fun experience, did they develop any fears as a result? Tyr lost his homeworld of Ziost, which killed off a lot of his family, too. One of his biggest concerns is losing anymore members of his family (especially his brother Aellisu), or any world in the Empire suffering the same level of destruction as Ziost.

17) AU time! If your Commander wasn’t Commander, which of your other OCs would have likely taken their place? Quite a few. The best contenders would be Yulizzia, Baduenda, Lavissia, or A’vash’l. Wouldn’t imagine the Alliance lasting long under Lavi’s rule, though.

18) Who’s someone your Commander hopes they never have to deal with again? Valkorion. Hands down. As well as any former member of the Dark Council that’s not Vowrawn or Acina.

19) Does your Commander hold on to/still use any titles they earned before KotET? (Darth Nox/Jedi Battlemaster/Cipher 9/Wrath/etc) Or have they completely replaced them with the Commander title? He still uses his Empire’s Wrath title from time to time.

20) Share something, anything at all, you want about your Commander that you’ve not really gotten the chance to share before but really want to! Tyrrnith doesn’t admit it, but he’s quite fond of animals and caring for them. His Whitefang, Mal, has been one of his most trusted companions, and the Alliance’s official mascot.

Since I have the beginning and end part of Lucas' and Joseph's arc during FC5 planned out I just realized that I never really thought about how they fell in love so I'll just collect some notes here:

-it isn't cheesy or love at first sight, it's slow and building, all growing from a mutual respect the two share

-Joseph respected Lucas from the very beginning, maybe not him as a whole but his courage and will power (since man managed to pull himself out of a wreck while he was actively dying and then still only wanted to find Joseph to finish his job)

-Lucas is of course grateful that Joseph saved his life and gave him the opportunity to choose what he wants, he allows him to leave and search for his colleagues and friends. He comes back to him every now and then, first only because the few doctors they have want to check on how he's healing, and then at some point just to talk with Joseph, learn more about him and why he does what he does

-they both learn about each other and realize that they are pretty similar. Both having a strong sense of righteousness and truth, both wanting to fight for what they believe in and that they both feel the need to protect those they love. Of course many more but I'm still pretty tired rn so I don't know any more off the top of my head

-they talk during the night since it's more peaceful and since then Lucas can come by undisturbed. I have imagined them sitting by the shore near Joseph's church so much its been rotting my brain. Either there or the dock

-their relationship only really starts after Lucas saves Joey and spares John sparking a debate between him and Joey where Lucas has to confront what he's doing and how things will continue

(im using my main to talk about hope and bones) so one of my friends made a little headcanon: Hopeshine caused Reedwhisker's death so Ferretdash can become deputy of Riverclan, while mistystar's death was just by a heartattack (rip granny u-u)
