A list about how one could potentially percieve Gortash as a bottom and/or more submissive partner (and definitely not just cuz my brain worms demand it)
That man is all about power. But that's taxing y'all. Yet control is cool. And where could you possibly give up your 'power' while still retaining control? In the bedroom. Just like a lot of other people in higher positions or with some amount of 'power' like it. As well as control freaks. Yk man studied and got a safe word and all but he'd also shoot his shot in 2 seconds flat if you tie him up like a cute little xmas present.
That dude worships the floor Durge walks on. He praises Durge's achievements in multiple instances, and cherishes the letters and all (mf has a scrapbook, ffs). All in all, down bad simp behaviour. Would 1000% sub for a partner like that and just in general do everything that's being asked of him and more because he's an overachiever.
Banites are professional bootlickers. Their hierarchy is based on who can kiss ass the best. The number 1 employee of the month gets to be Bane's chosen and probably a rimjob.
The whole fist bit. I don't need to explain, @laubritter has already blessed us.
He was raised by a bottom. It runs in the adopted family.
He already considers Durge to be a god. He literally says that. And while Durge has a divine spark they're not a god. But Lord Gortash does not give a flying fuck despite knowing that. See this post for reference.
Also like, he can be submissive and a top, or he could be a bottom and so fucking dominant. He could also just be a service dom or really into the whole worshipping bit. Perhaps a praise or degradation kink here and there. That man checks a lot of boxes thanks to being a conundrum. Also also, switches are a thing.
But yeah, bottoming and subbing are not mutually exclusive, though he does strike me as daddy's good little boy who will go down on his knees as soon as the right person looks at him funny. Because his dairies read like that. Yk, his most personal possessions.
But that's just me. Also while I'm at it, I'm a supporter of the quickshot bit that's been going on. Have you seen his Ludwig VI pants? The ones that highlight his crotch? Yk there's some compensation or smth going on there. It's the Mercedes Benz of ancient times.

BG3 Appreci-May-tion Event
What is it? A BG3 Fandom event to appreciate other fandom creatives! For every day in the month of May 2024, we've created a corresponding prompt list, which you can use to write fics/draw for other people's characters. Whether it be for a Tav, Durge, OC, or even a reader character set in a specific fic's universe, we encourage you to show your appreciation for the other talented authors in this fandom. Where is your prompt list? You can find the prompt list right here! Who can participate? Anyone who'd like to! Whether you're a writer, an artist, or another creative, we're welcoming absolutely anyone who would like to join in ♥
How do I participate? Using the list below, select one of the prompts you're interested in, and write a fic involving another creative's OC/Tav/Durge/Reader. When the day corresponding to the prompt you picked comes, post your work! Be sure to link to the original creator's work! Give our Tumblr a tag (@bg3-apprecimaytion) as well as using the event's tag #bg3apprecimaytion2024 so we can see and reblog your works! If you'd like, we also have an AO3 Collection! When is it taking place? Throughout May 2024!
Can I get creative with the prompts? Absolutely! In fact, we actively encourage you to do so - the prompts have been left vague for this reason. Just keep in mind that the fics/art you're creating are serving as a gift for someone else, and that not every author may be comfortable with receiving certain forms of content.
Do I have to do every prompt? Definitely not! The prompts are there for when you want them, but there is no pressure to do all of them. Can I use multiple prompts? Of course! Just post the work on the day for either of the corresponding prompts.
I finished my prompt late. Can I still post it? Yes! The prompt's assigned days are there as an organizational guideline, but we're more than happy to have you post your creations when you can.
Who is running this event? It's being run by me, @thedreamlessnights!
I have another question that I don't see here. Perfect! Send us an ask, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

How many references of the same damn character can I make before I get bored?
Yes.
Some design and related rambles below because I'm in A Mood
There's uhh, selfharm mentions in there on top of the typical Durge shit. Just in case anyone needs a heads up.
I keep tweaking his design every time I draw him, but I think I'm decently happy with it now? It's mainly the burn scar that has been annoying me because I both want it to unique but still somewhat fit the game texture..
I wish I knew how to mess with texture maps to make him custom ones so that all the scars in game match The Lore, but ughh learning that is way too much work.
The scar run down so far:
THE BURN SCAR is a souvenir from Cania. It covers almost the entire upper left half of his body, but on his arm it ends abruptly at the elbow because the explosion that caused it took off his whole forearm so the limb is "brand new" and therefore, scarless.
Yes, he can regrow limbs like an axolotl. However here, I think healing magic was involved too. Just because of how extensive the damage was. I'm imagining his forearm blown off and what's left of his arm charred nearly to the bone. Same with his face, his cheek was definitely gone. An absolutely terrifying image and one that's for sure seared into Gortash's brain forever.
THE VIVISECTION SCAR is Kressa's work of course, but its shape is pretty atypical for how most of the fandom does Durge's scars. The arms of the Y incision don't extend towards his shoulders and go underneath his pectorals instead. It's mostly because his organs have fuck all to do with the tadpole Kressa was studying so I headcanon those experiments to have been done purely for sexual gratification, not scientific at all. Which makes cracking open his ribcage feel like too much of a hassle to me, she can still get in there for a rummage through his stomach after all.
THE SMALL STOMACH AND CHEST SCARS are all stab wounds. I like to think they would've healed fully long ago, but Ezra subconsciously keeps that from happening because they're like mementos to him. It was... a religious/masochism thing between him and Helena. A tad messed up, but he liked her a lot okay.
THE THIGH SCARS are self inflicted. Some are cuts, some poor, frenzied attempts at flaying the skin off to maximise the pain. They start to fade and heal post tadpole because he forgot about the habit thanks to the orinbotomy, but he used to pretty much selfharm his emotions away. Sad? Pain. Affectionate? Pain. Guilty? Nothing some more pain can't fix! It started in his youth when selfharm was his only way to get some clarity of mind when the Urge started to muddy his thoughts and it escalated from there to using it for everything.
THE HAND SCAR is also of the self inflicted kind, but that one is really old. He was around 12 when he stabbed his hand out of fear that if he didn't use the knife he was given to hurt himself, he was going to cause harm to someone else. It was pretty soon after killing his foster parents so the panic was understandable, got him banned from the kitchen for years tho. The scar never faded completely because he was really weak and sickly as a kid due to not feeding the Urge, which messed with his healing abilities (amongst other things) making it stick.
THE HEART SCAR is an another old one. It's from the wound he was killed with when he transformed into the Slayer for the first time. It's symbolic and one of those scars that don't heal because he doesn't want them to. It marks the death of the person he was before Bhaal and serves as a reminder of that whole event. The paladin who killed him (a close friend and mentor actually so that's fun) ran him straight through with a sword so there's a matching scar on his back too.
Those have all pretty much always been there and the only change is the lore of the stab wound scars, though. I just felt like talking about them because I like giving those things A Story.
And since I'm already babbling, I also added some stuff!
He didn't use to have his nails painted post nautiloid, but I had the bright idea of Shadowheart seeing the remnants of chipped off nail polish and because of that offering to do them for him at some point. Probably not until act 3 when they finally reach civilization, but still!
I once mentioned in passing that he collects rings and never implemented that into his design, but here it is now! It's mostly a case of him feeling like he should wear a ring out of habit and ending up going a bit ham with it.
Old wedding band mark :) only sticks around for a bit post nautiloid and eventually disappears, but I still included it anyway for the angst. You understand.
One day I'll do a proper colour reference and decent art of his clothing to go with it, but this will do for now. I just love him so much, he can fit so much lore on him and it's driving me a bit crazy. My beloved hairy bastard man.

4,5 and 25 from the tav ask meme ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)
Well, well, what will it be.
4. What would your Tav’s romance scenes look like? How many would they have?
Not gonna lie, didn't even think about it. Somehow. So I will not be able to write out several scenes, but I have one in mind that I want to draw in near future. It looks like this.
Player Character and Durga flirt back and forth. When it comes to a kiss, PC gets down to Durga to be on the same level (shorter races obviously don't need to do that). Their faces are getting closer, their lips almost touch. Then Durga runs her fingers through the Character's hair, and sharply clenches it in her fist. Doesn’t tug, just grips and holds the character’s head in a strong grip. Her eyes are wide open while she examines PC's features with a smile. Her face overall looking crazy. She doesn't loosen her grip yet. Both characters are silent for a few moments. Narrator says that you're not sure what is going on on Durga's mind right now, but you have doubt that it's anything nice and peaceful. Right after that she relaxes her fingers, her face becomes significantly softer. She caresses PC's face with a slightest touches of her fingers, saying in a silky whisper "You are so beautiful, I cannot believe my luck to see you every day" as she exhales. Then she takes a step back and leaves with the smile most dreamy. If you got scared and weirded out, you stay in place. If that scene made you horny, you follow her💕
Following her is 18+. Durga is not very into sex, though it's wouldn't be excluded from her romance, she's more likely to get pleasure from foreplay, big fan of touching and teasing, very sensual. Sex is reserved for later and deeper stages of relationship. Durga would go all the way with the person she has no doubts about and trusts absolutely to. However if you are a trustworthy person to her there is a high possibility of feral fucking, which is a big leap from tender touching, but she is Durge after all. Let's be honest, you would expect something like this right after that "kiss" scene. I think you should be able to choose the mood of your... "bedroom" games with her of course. Not everyone want to risk their life while having fun in bed.
5. Describe their idle animations!
I'd say, she would read some, of course. But not books. I want her to read letters. Playing on the amnesia theme, it seems right to imagine that you find some correspondence in your journey that Durga would find familiar (probably because some of it she wrote herself). She would read these letters again and again, trying to remember what those lines mean to her.
Also she would absolutely play some musical instruments. Not a tambourine (it's not in the game), but a drum or harp, flute would work. Maybe add to that a few dance moves too. Bonus fun if dance combo ends up with something that looks a lot like a killing move. After that she would definitely straighten up abruptly and begin to look around, checking to see if anyone saw it.
She possibly has a small mirror that she looks into, but not to admire herself. She looks at her face to understand who she sees in the reflection.
25. What is something they would die on a hill over?
Life is a horrible disease.
Killing is natural.
Parent always answers to a child's call. If doesn't, then all of them should be cured as soon as possible: parent - to punish, child - to bless.
...
and that Enver Gortash is a genius, of course.

*trips into your askbox and a bunch of tav questions fall out of my pockets* oh shit dude sorry-
For kyvir: 1 + 2 + 8 + 16 (but specifically besides the romance) + 17 + 36 + 53 + 66
(🧡 - @zoneofsmites)
(Tav asks!) Oh boy oh boy lots of questions, here we go!
1. Why did you pick the race you did for your Tav? Tiefling pretty. Tail, horns, claws, fun eyes. I am weak.
2. Why did you pick the class you did for your Tav? Well, initially I made him a paladin because I thought that was a fun dichotomy with Durge's whole deal. And it was! But as I played through the game and started getting a grasp on his character he just... felt more like a bard. I don't know how to describe it really, he just had bard energy to me much more than he had paladin energy. I originally made him a bard for my current run mostly to test it out, but it fits him so perfectly that this is just him now.
8. What deity, if any, does your character worship? Setting aside Bhaal, he kind of borderline worships Bane? Obviously he doesn't properly worship him, Bhaal would never tolerate his Chosen worshipping his rival like that, but there's definitely a great deal of respect there. I've mentioned this before, but this is very much what saved Gortash from a knife in the back as soon as Kyvir caught him snooping around: he had too much respect for Bane to kill the head of his temple out of hand without at least making an effort to find out what he wanted. (It also delights him to no end when Gortash mentions that Bane admires him, which is why Gortash says it.)
16. Which of the companions does your Tav trust most?  Besides the romance? Hm. I'd have to say Lae'zel. Partially because she doesn't tend to go in for lies and manipulation so Kyvir is confident that she won't try to trick him and if she did he'd catch her out on it immediately (boy's got a suspicious mind), but also because she will always go for what she thinks is the best course of action. If he goes too far he can trust her to put a stop to it without letting her affection for him get in the way, and he can also trust her not to decide he's gone too far based on silly moral grounds (like him being a little too brutal with an enemy) like a lot of the others would. I think there's a period (probably after he almost kills Astarion) where he trusts Lae'zel's judgement over his own.
17. Which of the companions does your Tav distrust most? Initially Wyll, later Jaheira. Kyvir struggles a lot with understanding genuinely good people, especially early on, so he spends most of the first act desperately trying to figure out what Wyll's angle is. And also Wyll's a monster hunter, and Kyvir may not know what he is but he knows "monster" would about cover it! By the time he remembers he's Bhaalspawn he trusts Wyll not to do anything dramatic without cause, but Jaheira outright says "I'd kill you if it weren't for the fact I don't think you've earned that mercy" and that... isn't as different from Bhaal as she would probably like to think. It's not that Kyvir isn't of the firm opinion that his friends should kill him if he goes too far, but hearing Jaheira say outright that she'll kill him if she decides he's gone too far but she won't do it now because he hasn't earned that mercy is... different. He likes and respects Jaheira, but he's never going to be able to forget that.
36. What is your Tav’s favorite type of environment? Like in a tavern, a library, out in the wilderness, underground, etc. Kyvir loves a good tavern. Or a good brothel, for that matter! As a bard those are basically his natural habitat, and as a Bhaalspawn they're both excellent hunting grounds. Aside from that he quite likes libraries; they tend to be quiet without being entirely empty, and while he likes to pretend that he's very cool he is in fact a huge nerd and would happily spend a whole day hanging out in a library. Maybe with Gale, they deserve a quiet, chill day to be nerds together.
53. Is your Tav easily tricked or deceived? Kyvir does the deceiving, he is not being deceived. He is very difficult to trick because tricking people is kind of his whole deal. It would just be embarrassing if he was easy to trick. The one exception is that he is quite susceptible to any manipulation that involves the manipulator convincing him they love him. Astarion's attempt doesn't work because Astarion's not a very good liar and he also starts on it too quickly for Kyvir to buy it, but there's a reason he falls hook line and sinker for the Emperor's proposition. (This also plays a part in why he was so unflinchingly loyal to Bhaal for so long, he is so desperate for love that the lies have to be pretty obvious for him to catch them.)
66. Does your Tav consider themselves a hero, villain, victim or something else? Oh, villain for sure. He's the monster hiding in the woods that parents warn their children about, Bhaal's perfect assassin, and for most of his life he was relatively at peace with that. It wasn't until he began working as a bard as well as an assassin and started working with Gortash (and also Bhaal resurrected and left him as a separate entity rather than taking back his divine essence then and there, yes I am adding that to Kyvir's backstory) that he started wondering if he really wanted to be the monster indefinitely, and even then he was still aware that he was the villain. It's honestly probably not until post-game when he's travelling with Astarion that he really starts to internalize that he was a victim too.

7, 8 and 15 for the Durge Past Life Questions!! :D
7. Did they have any connections or companions outside of the local underworld? If so, what were those connections like and if not, why?
You've read a bit about that already, but I will share the idea on tumblr, and expand on the idea a little bit.
As a teenager, somewhere like 16-18 years old, Ferael had a girlfriend. unrelated to any murdery/underworld stuff. She was a wizard apprentice. They probably met a few times when browsing books or smth - Ferael is a sorcerer, yeah, but a well read one lol. Hm. Given the timeline she was probably the last person to actually ever learn Ferael's original name One night, the gf bumps into them while they are committing a murder. Whoops. She's right fully terrified, she tries to run away, they manage to catch her. They try to reassure her that she is safe, calm her down, they'd never hurt her. Doesn't work. Not thinking straight, she threatens to tell everything to the Fists. Dreadful realisation. Ferael can't let her go. They can't trust her anymore. She knows too much, down to their now seldom used name. There is no compulsion from Bhaal. No threat, no push needed. Ferael makes the choice to end her life on their own. Haha. :> Additionally, Ferael grew up in an Outer City within a small Eilistraeean drow community. They probably never visited that place again. Unless that's where their family is buried. I've been toying with an idea of a relative or a friend of their adopted mother meeting with them on accident, while they visited their family's grave. 8. What was their relationship with Orin like? Did it change at some point?
jess are you asking me if there was bhaalcest of the orin variety in my verse? oh gods. you are absolutely asking me about the bhaalcest. well. i will get to it. As far as I know, there isn't a canon age for Orin, but I do hc her as younger than Ferael, just by a couple of years (Ferael is in their early 30s during the game). Ferael gladly took on an older sibling role after ending up at the temple. Kind of a reverse situation, Ferael was the baby of their adoptive family (until very soon before they killed all of them :DD) I am not yet sure as to when exactly Orin and Ferael's relationship soured... but well it definitely did. Ekhem. As to uhm. The Bhaalcest. Yeah. Sure did happen at least to an extent. Not settled how far it went lol. Ferael was disgusted by the idea of this sort of take on a sibling relationship. Orin did attempt to push those boundaries - efforts usually not reciprocated, would even end in violence. ("Get the fuck off me" *thunderwave*)
I've very recently been thinking about expanding on Orin and Ferael's relationship throughout the years, but I have yet to expand on said relationship more than what I wrote above. Very busy with school atm :') 15. Bhaal handcrafted Durge. Do they enjoy and worship their appearance, or did they have a rebellious phase, trying their best to change their Lord Father's grand design?
WELL... Ferael is trans so they definitely do change Daddy Bhaal's design somewhat lol. Trans Durges are kinda fascinating to me, tbh. Such a devoted, dedicated spawn, yet they choose to change their bodies by quite a lot hihi. I do wonder - to what extent would Bhaal have disapproved :D Beyond that - Ferael definitely did a lot of small things to make their body their own. Piercings, a tattoo (not some sort of an edgy one, btw), even daily make up or taking care of their hair. At some point, they would have dyed their hair white to look more like an actual drow lol

heard you were bored so here are some questions :) (i realized halfway through that these are all durgetash because those little shits have taken over my mind) do you like leaning into the angst of durgetash or do you prefer the more lighthearted (aside from the atrocities) dynamic? if larian dropped a gortash romance, is there any icks that would absolutely ruin it for you?
or conversely, what would be the best thing they could add in a hypothetical gortash route?
what were your biggest inspirations for lophi and vyper? do you prefer one over the other or are they equal in your eyes?
(hopefully you won't have to answer these since you'll get out of work soon)
HELLO ANON. im sorry to tell you infact waited till i actually got home to answer these because i have!!! THOUGHTS and OPINIONS about the questions asked . thank you very much btw these are all really good questions ill have fun answering
FIRSTLY, it all depends on the kind of durge gortash is being paired w imo. with vyper i tend to lean more into These Two Are Fucking Insane while w/ lophi i lean more into the sort of melancholic 'angsty' side of durgetash that i think can be real yummy too. and it's all because of who vyper and lophi are as characters pre-tadpole, too. vyper liked being a loud insane freakus while lophi was a lot more reserved and kind of a miserable mess, and that informs their relationships w/ the characters around them. i think both are good and fun to explore and i definitely like exploring the more angsty side w vyper x gortash and vice versa w lophi x gortash, so. i guess both. really. LOL .
secondly, going to answer both of the gort romance related questions in one, but i think i'm probably in the unpopular opinion that gortash doesn't really neeeeeeeed a romance and i could go without it in game. i do think he deserves more content and screentime, but that's something i can say about orin also, and frankly a Lot of parts of act 3. me and act 3 have a toxic on/off again relationship. alright.
that being *said*, if i was mr larian and i was to implement a gortash romance, i'd have it be something exclusive to a durge/evil run. or at the very least, have it have consequences with your party (i.e karlach leaving or something. love gort but i do not think you should go off romancing him scott free).
i Do think having it be exclusive to a more evil-aligned run would help add more actual content to doing an evil run (and god knows we need some with how bg3 seems to like punishing people who just want to do the evil options They Gave You) and would make the most sense, but all in all i'd just hope it's handled better than the mizora sex scene cause god how that whole thing is handled still pisses me off. hopefully this all makes sense
tl;dr, its a fun idea but i can very easily go without it especially knowing how the game treated its one other antagonist romance option
now for the lophi and vyper question... i do obviously have my biases towards vyper /looks at my blog theme/, but i genuienlly cannot pick favourites with them besides that... i use them both to explore different aspects of the durge origin in different ways bc despite what some other people say i Do think you can be very flexible w durge as a concept despite the pre-established lore for them ^_^ and i think it's very fun to play around with.
as for specific inspirations, lophi takes a lot of insp from vintage pierrot art + has accidentally gotten a very 1920s makeup vibe in My Mind. i should also note her name comes from the scientific name for anglerfish, cuz thats what i had in mind when giving her those freaky sharp ass teeth i always draw her with
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and while of course, both of my durges are trans, lophi specifically was birthed from my want to make a dark urge that leans in as heavily as she possibly could in the whole trans allegory thing. so theres that as well!
vyper's specific inspos are harder for me to pinpoint cause he's much more of a 'made up as i went' character than lophi, given he was my First dark urge and i didnt really fully know what i was going into all this yet while making him (and also i was maybe a little bit high while doing so...lol) THAT SAID THOUGH, i did initially make him with akira fudo from devilman in mind. he has the horn style he does because it reminded me of devilman ... although the akira insp is very lose and barely effects his character now.. ~_~ despite bg3 being my main fixation atm devilman is still a very very important piece of media to me so vyper being loosely akira-pilled is not too surprising if you know me well enough lololol

10 Career Skills That Will Rule in Post-pandemic Era
With the on-going coronavirus pandemic, the world has undergone a radical change. Right from the way people led their lives to the way businesses are operated, each is adjusting to the “new normal” of this situation. Undoubtedly, the workplaces have also changed much, and so have their demands from their workforce.
While some are resorting to working from home strategy, others are cutting down their workforce to manage the economic crisis in the wake of the pandemic. However, once the pandemic is over, the best colleges in Chhattisgarh have speculated that companies will return to full operations. In fact, there will be a demand for new candidates in the workforce that can add value in the post-pandemic era.
So on what basis will these new candidates be selected, and what are the skills that will gain preference among the employers? These are questions that are playing on in every mind. Read on to find out what the career experts from top colleges in Raipur have to say.
The Most Valued Skills of Tomorrow
It is likely that many of you are exploring new courses and degrees as you seek an answer to these questions. There may also be students who are in the last leg of their studies before heading into the job world. Even for those who have lost their jobs in the pandemic era, finding out about these valued skills may help you to revamp your career.
So without further ado, head straight to the skills that you will need along with the completion of courses such as information technology engineering in Raipur:
Critical Thinking
One of the most highly valued skills, even in the pre-pandemic world, was critical thinking. This soft skill still ranks highest among the most valued list for the future job world. In fact, independent research on Human resources has revealed that more than 35 per cent of employers seek critical thinking among their prospective employees.
This percentage is expected to go even higher as we enter a more challenging time in the future. Critical thinking means an ability to think about any data, situation, or problem rationally to the best decision.
If you are not a critical thinker naturally, you may initially face some problems inculcating this skill. Start by asking questions that help you dig deeper into the matter. With time, it will soon become your habit, and you’ll intuitively become a critical thinker.
Flexible and Adaptable
You have just finished your electrical engineering in Raipur. You may think that your degree alone is enough to get you a job. It is true that having the right qualification is valuable. But the qualification has to be backed by other valuable soft skills to mark you apart from your competitors.
As more employers have been managing forces working from home, flexibility and adaptability have become all the more important. It is likely that even after the pandemic is over, this new work culture will continue. So, people who are flexible and can quickly adapt to changes are more valuable in such situations.
Flexible candidates are able to perform better even under high pressure. They can also shoulder higher responsibilities than those who cannot be adept easily. So, do not just add words such as flexible in your resume; live up to it to show your edge.
Technological Adaptability
Technological adaptability or tech-savviness is a growing demand of the age. Even before the pandemic hit, more and more businesses were becoming aware of the digital skill gap that they have. The gap became even more apparent as people became more dependent on digital tools in the physically distanced world.
Almost eighty per cent of the vacancies these days demand people who have some amount of digital knowledge. So, even if you have B.pharma diploma, it is good to be acquainted with digital tools that you are likely to use in your line.
Further, this is also the best time for people with specialised digital skills to find their dream job. Businesses are desperate to keep up with the fast pace of changes in the digital world. So if you are planning to pursue computer science engineering in India, Artificial intelligence, big data, and blockchain are some of the areas that you may want to look into.
Leadership Abilities
If you think that only the top brass, such as the managers and the bosses, must demonstrate leadership skills, you may be wrong. While leadership was a quality sought only for a few select positions earlier, companies today are keen to see all their employees as prospective leaders.
As more people are working from different geographical locations and the comforts of their own home, it becomes essential that employees become a leader themselves.
This would mean that even in the absence of a leader, they can make their own decisions and act responsibly. People with good leadership skills are also better at communicating their ideas and strategies.
They are also better at encouraging others through their performance and example. No wonder companies are more eager to see leadership skills in their employees. The best engineering institute often pushes students to take leadership roles in various college activities.
Communication Skills
Whether it is achieving productivity or maintaining good relationships in the workplace, communication skills play a crucial role. As workplaces are no longer confined to brick and mortar rooms, expressing ideas clearly and precisely has become all the more important.
With zoom meetings and social media platforms taking the place of traditional means of communication, employers are keen to have people with the right communication skills on their team.
Poor communication skills cannot just hamper productivity level, but it can also leave the workforce feeling unmotivated. Communication skills also play a key role in other aspects such as team building, management, and the like. If you are wondering how emotional intelligence plays a role in workplaces, you may need to return to the definition of the term. When you can understand another person’s emotions or control your negative emotions better, you help in creating a happier workplace.
Not just that, when employees have vital emotional intelligence, they are seen to help each other create a happier workplace. These factors together can push up productivity several folds. Assessing and working on your emotions is a great way to get started in terms of emotional intelligence.
It may also be interesting to note that higher emotional intelligence usually means better leadership skills. So by working on this one skill, you will actually be gaining two skills in the process.

No machine or digital tool can ever replace the unique capabilities and creative skills of human beings. This is what sets our race apart from all others.
So why is this quality listed under the skills needed for a post-pandemic workplace? Well, it is essential for you to think creatively here as well. Even with the most technology-related degrees, such as mining engineering in Durg, there is always a need to think out of the box.

Even if you are not pursuing a creative line, you will still have to churn your thoughts and show your creative edge to your employers. Right from your resume to your interview, think of ways in which you can transcend the box. And guess what, you will be given a preference over the other candidates.
Team Work

This means that when you split the responsibility among your teammates, you can achieve the targets much faster and in a systematic way. Not just that, every team will have individual members who specialise in a particular area. So with a person doing the task that he or she can do best, it will make the work quality much better.

With no leaders to physically monitor the employees, it has become important that they complete the assigned tasks under their responsibility.
