Was he supposed to be a goddamn fucking babysitter now? In what universe would he care about someone else’s pain? Everyone suffered and dealt with it. Shed a few tears, broke several pieces of furniture --- perhaps an expensive heirloom. Others drank their pain away or even found some random stranger to fuck their issues into submission ( a solution he had done before ). Shit happened every single day. How one would deal with said pain was a completely different thing. Bawl one’s eyes out or get back on the fucking horse. 

“Do you want a pat on the back or a tissue?” Emotional conversations were not his strong suit. In fact, he despised those with every fiber in his being. It made people weak. And weak people were a waste of space and oxygen and most importantly... sperm. “What are you going to do about it, Billy? Okay, so, the consensus on discord I just kind of return to this every 6 months or so for a session so... that’s going to be weird.

Maybe someone let me know when Chapter 6 finishes. I want to at least make a short session out of finishing this story.

That’s what Paranatural!

Not the most original concept at first, really breaks into early with it’s really strong sense of character. Max is a really fun example of the deadpan snarker/deatbeat kid trope, but he’s also kind of fresh in how he transparently does care from the very start, and seems to have A LOT of emotional intelligence for his age! He was a fun POV character! Isabel is fun and it’s impressive how she’s able to grow so quickly over a short period of time without it feeling forced.

However, while the character carried it early one, the world kind of broke into it’s own by being BATCRAP CRAZY!

SERIOUSLY! This world is INSANE! And I feel like it’s going to just go more and more nuts!

I look forward to more! ^^

11. Weirdest thing you’ve ever written/thought about writing/etc.?

Maybe one of my old novels? A Week In Hell, was done like a series of collected reports - phonecall conversations, radio transcripts, letters, emails, newspaper cuttings and was all set in a very specific city that I had never visited and a very specific year, that I wasn’t alive during, and all the characters were normal everyday people with totally wacky names. It followed a deatbeat anarcho-punk and his infighting with a death metal band, and a 16 year old girl who just wanted to pass her O Levels and go home.

13. Favorite fic from another author?

If we mean fanfic, its a hard choice because I didn’t keep a track of them before I got a fanfic and A03 account. Two of my faves though are nivet’s Afraid of My Own Shadow which inspired lots of my early characterisation of Bi-Han, and @zlukaka and @luffik ‘s Loyalty Unyielding which I started reading for angbang smut and by the end was giving gushing theological reviews of.

Favourite thing about them: his son!

Least favourite thing about them: I don’t know, I guess I hate the fact that his son has been in life and death situations, was once quirkless now has a quirk and was in a war yet he hasn’t even made a phone call or sent a letter home. So he’s somewhat a bit of a deatbeat, unless the theory of DFO is canon which I think not. All I’m going to say is I will really hate it if he appears at the end all “I’m proud of you son” by the end of the manga, with little to no indication that he and his son are close.
