Hi!! Nice to meet another Zibell fan and fic writer! I have to admit that my time on Tumblr is a bit sporadic (real life is way too busy), but I'm always glad to talk about Zibell and writing fic for them. I've written a lot of romantic fic for them, but I definitely enjoy the platonic friendship on screen, so I could really go either way with them. Do you ship them romantically at all or just platonically? Any favorite moments?

[Disclaimer: I am only on S3 of the show, so some of my comments might not be (as) applicable anymore. Also, there might be some prime Zibell moments from S4 and S5 that I don’t mention when talking about my favourites because I haven’t seen them yet. Sorry!]

I could go either way with them too! I read (and write…maybe… 👀) romantic fanfic for them, and I’m definitely on the lookout for budding feelings between them when I watch the show. However, when it comes to their canon relationship atm, I only ship them in the sense of “I’m rooting for them”, not in the sense of “I want them to be together”. It’s like you said on another post: I’d like their professional dynamic and platonic intimacy to develop some more before they drop any romantic ILYs (I’d be down for some platonic ones though; tv needs more of those!) or passionate embraces. I think there are some things they can discover about each other more meaningfully (to me) if they aren’t in an exclusive, committed relationship when they learn them.

(I answer the rest of your question below the cut, but it’s looong so be warned lol.)

Like, some things are kind of expected to be shared when you’re dating someone, and the idea of Maggie and OA sharing those things with each other just because they want to instead—just because they feel comfortable turning to each other before any friend or family member or even side character love interest, even though on paper they’re simply colleagues!—is really quite special to me. For example, when OA shows up at Maggie’s place and confides in her: his seeking her out means more in my eyes because, traditionally, he’d be expected to disclose what’s troubling him about his past if Maggie were a romantic partner, but not when she is merely a professional one—at least, not the details, not in such a personal setting, not when their job is already done. Plus, the fact that they don’t always share these kinds of things with each other (e.g., Maggie doesn’t tell OA that she suspects Erin has relapsed and that she is making the big decision to help her move back to a rehab centre) suggests that they aren’t yet at a place to let each other in so completely. That being said, I don’t want to suffer through another Bensler torture method! There is a difference between a tasteful slow burn and a fourth-degree scorch, Dick Wolf! And it’s not just the length of it, either, but the pacing! I could last twenty-four seasons of romantic tension between Zibell as long as it’s not a dragged-along, low-key out-of-character romantic tension, y’know?!

[deep breath] Sorry. Where was I? Right, I ship them platonically and would like them to get a happy ending together romantically at some point, but that should be a decent way off imo. On the show, at least. I’m an impatient, lovesick twat and will absolutely peddle and plead for romantic art, fic, and edits on Tumblr, YouTube, and AO3. :)

As for favourite moments… If you mean scenes that won points for their relationship in my book, I would say any where there was a Thing they had to talk about but were resisting until the crucial instant where they chose to let down their walls to the other. So when a case directly hits close to home, when something personal is bothering them and affecting their job, when the two of them are disagreeing and need to get on the same page… Those moments. Those conversations. I live for those small, subtle relationship development milestones! Also, anytime they back each other up. I’ve said this before, but when one of them gets snarky and the other smirks to themself, or when one of them successfully captures a person of interest and the other smiles in gratitude/pride, or when one of them seconds the other’s hunch against the rest of the JOC… I also live for those small, subtle signs of a healthy, stable foundation, ’cause that’s what any future romance—if there will be any—will be laid upon, y’know?

Now, if you’d prefer my list of scenes that I obsessively re-watch for the Drama and Feels, I can definitely be more precise. ;P

1x01 (their banter about OA’s arachnophobia and drawing; Maggie struggles with Emmett’s death and OA reassures her that her evac order was the right move; when OA goes to take down Bernardo and Maggie runs after him, their conversation was hilarious; their side whispering like the person they’re discussing isn’t right there; OA brings up Maggie’s husband and she shuts him out but also thanks him! OA and Maggie smiling at each other after the case; “All you need is a ride?” “For now”)

1x03 (the “Is it true? One in four women…?” conversation; the fight in the stairwell; “I always got your back, Mags”)

1x04 (Maggie tries to talk down the sniper and OA gives her Concerned Looks in the background)

1x07 (OA talks about his experiences in Iraq and Maggie gives him Concerned Looks in the background; Maggie tells him he can talk to her, and he takes her up on his offer!!)

1x14 (Maggie trusts OA with her suspicion, and OA trusts her instincts—and cares about her concerns—enough to look into it; OA accompanies and comforts Maggie at the hospital; “Wherever this goes, I’m with you”)

1x16 (OA gets shot, and Maggie is like “Don’t do that to me again” but also acknowledges he did a Good Thing)

1x19 (OA insists on hearing Maggie’s opinion about his friend; Maggie gives him Concerned Looks in the background whenever he gets worked up, and she mediates between him and Jubal)

2x01 (OA goes to Maggie for comfort; later, he apologises for not taking her advice but she apologises for offering it)

2x03 (at the end, when OA tells an embarrassing story to cheer Maggie up despite his having warned her about Caldwell, and it works <3)

2x05 (protective!OA when Maggie and Kristen briefly go UC)

2x06 (Maggie meets Mona ahaha, plus OA admits his insecurities about their relationship to Maggie and she reassures the heck out of him)

2x08 (Maggie sympathises with the widow and OA gives her Concerned Looks in the background; Maggie wrestles with one of the Russian spies and OA is worried until he finds her the victor and is subsequently all proud smiles; Maggie tries to persuade Isobel that the widow should know her husband was murdered and OA gives her Concerned Looks in the background)

2x09 (“Don’t touch her” … “Then do your job without putting hands on my partner” … need I say more?)

2x11 (basically all of their scenes this episode; protective!OA is always a win, and Maggie being scared to see Kristen but being supported by OA 100% was just <3)

2x16 (OA immediately knows something is up and wants to know what; OA doesn’t want Maggie to leave, and she knew that he would have been able to dissuade her from taking the UC case so she already accepted it before telling him hwkrhfjs)

3x01 (Maggie returns! HUG!! Maggie is standoffish but eventually confides in OA about what went down on her UC case; OA is impressed with and proud of his partner’s success…as well as her sharp clothes at the end of the ep hehe, though also maybe a little hmmmm when he first meets Nestor; also, Maggie backs OA up against Nestor!)

3x04 (judgemental was not a good look for OA lol, but he made up for it; also, the “I’m gonna be a little overprotective and make sure the guy you’re seeing is a good guy” speech was 10/10, was surprised a tv show had a man actually use the word “overprotective” about himself lol)

3x08 (Maggie backs OA up to outsiders but is upfront with him one-on-one)

3x11 (OA meets Erin; Maggie talks about Erin’s addiction and OA gives her Concerned Looks in the background, plus Maggie touching his arm to signal she’ll take the lead for the interrogation and him understanding; Maggie talks the bomber down and OA cuffs him, the touches and “Good job”s afterwards)

4x09 (Maggie gets shot and OA reacts; “I thought I almost lost you for a second”; Maggie offers herself up as a hostage and OA is…not thrilled)

4x12 (OA repeatedly checks in on Maggie’s state of mind; Maggie drives off with the bomb with OA begging her not to; OA helps her up after the car explodes; the two talk after the paramedics clear her)

4x18 (the hdqkrhcnekfhj breakfast they were having together) (…and ofc the whole sarin gas thing—“I can’t really breathe anymore”, OA’s desperation and continual “It’s going to be okay”s, OA carrying her—and OA’s speech and Maggie’s nod)

5x07 (Maggie returns! HUG!! OA being worried, Maggie confiding in him, the “Count them” confrontation, hooo boy I love me some angst)

Note that I’m only on S3, yet I know about some S4/S5 scenes and have jumped ahead to watch those lmao. I did say I was an impatient, lovesick twat!

submitted by dazzlingstarlight: I love the JAG fics Broken Hallelujahs and No Higher Price, by Aerogirl.  I think they’re pretty old fics, so I’m not sure where you can find them now, but I would definitely recommend them.  I think Broken Hallelujahs is such a creative take on the end of season 7 and Harm, Mac, and Bud are very well-written.  I also love how the characters are written in No Higher Price - you can just hear the voices of Harm, Mac, Mic, and even Webb.  And both stories also have plenty of Harm/Mac shippy moments!

Hi! Just stumbled upon some of your posts on NCIS: LA season 9. I was a fan of the show early on but only watched sporadically for a few seasons. I heard that R. Scott Gemmill runs NCIS: LA now - I loved many of his episodes on JAG - so I started watching again and find that I agree with you. NCIS: LA has 'been there, done that already' with Mosley. (Although I look forward to seeing A.J. Chegwidden again.) Here's hoping that the NCIS: LA characters and stories improve!

Gemmill started running things last season and outside of a truly terrible storytelling decision at the end of the season, I think season eight was sneaky good.  

Been there done that with Mosley is just such a tired trope at this point.  We all know where this is going - Mosley will see the team in action and slowly but surely realize that while they’re deeply flawed sometimes as individuals, as a team they’re savvy, smart and skilled (I love some alliteration every now and again).  Can we just start there?  Harley has already figured this out.  And if Hetty returns eventually, there will be the same lectures she gave Granger about the team.

I’m looking forward to Chegwidden’s return as an old JAG fan.  I liked him in “Payback” and thought he was the best of the three grumpy old men in the “Battle Scars”/”Golden Days” two-parter.   

The New Orleans sibling is falling into the same trap - once again, an outsider is looking to shut down the team.  Can we have a few weeks of solving crimes committed against or by members of the Navy or Marines?  That’s what I’m here for.

-Alex Drake (Ashes to Ashes). She is beauty, she is grace, she punched Gene Hunt in the face. What more could we ask for? (Okay, so let’s be real, a lot in terms of Galex, but in terms of Alex being Alex, A+ every ep)

-Dr Michaela Quinn (Dr Quinn Medicine Woman). I probably should say I love her calm demeanour and the way she gains the trust of the townfolk, but honestly... I just love her UST with Sully and her hair.

-Lindsay Denton (Line of Duty). Tough as nails and hard done by. She deserved better and we all know it.

Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins). Practically perfect in every way and my hero as a child, I actually dressed up as her for book week last year. I won out of the teachers. There was no actual competition, I just decided. 

- Sarah ‘Mac’ MacKenzie (JAG). Always there to poke and prod at Harm to keep him on track. 

-Liz Lemon (30 Rock). Finally a realistic TV idol. (Not to mention I love watching her and Jack)

-Daria (Daria). Isn’t she really what we all want to be? Angry, sarcastic but smart and confident enough in herself to get where she wants to go.

-Claire Beachump Randell Fraser (Outlander). Putting the sass in Sassenach, another no nonsense female sent back in time. Sometimes I wish she would shut up but over all love her. Also, her Scottish outfits may have inspired some purchases...

-Emily Prentiss (Criminal Minds). If I didn’t love her before, I sure did after the Lauren/Doyle arc.

I can’t find the “I have a gun levelled at your crotch” gif, and honestly, I have no idea why, it’s classic Prentiss. so I’ll leave you with this

-Veronica Mars. Because I too like to think I’m petite and smell of marshmellows and promises.

25 Words - TIVA

Hello there! Me and @dazzlingstarlight decided to try this writing challenge from @promptlywritingideas. We sent each other 25 words so the other could write 25 sentences. Well, in my case these aren’t sentences. I just couldn’t stop myself and developed it further, so most of it is pieces of unrelated conversations.

Enjoy my TIVA take on the wonderful writing challenge and don’t forget to read magnificent Harm/Mac version of dazzlingstarlight!

(1)  House

Ziva sighed in content, letting the sunrays to caress her skin as she watched her little daughter and her little son playing in their playground from her place at the porch. It was truly a brilliant idea to buy a house for their growing DiNozzo family.

(2)  Movie

“What movie are we going to watch?” Tony asked Ziva nervously, fidgeting in his armchair. As a huge movie fan and self-proclaimed movie expert, he didn't feel excessively comfortable with someone else choosing a movie.

“Stop being so mistrustful.” Ziva shoved him the bowl of popcorn into his lap, feeling slightly annoyed as she had heard the exact same question for umpteenth time this day.

She sat down next to him and pushed the play button. Tony just opened his mouth wide as the opening credits for The Little Prince movie began to play. Then his lips formed into a grateful smile as Ziva squeezed his hand.

(3) Heart

“With this ring I thee wed and I give you my heart under your guardianship. I cannot imagine any other person suitable for this job than you, my love. You may have not always treated it well, but it has belonged to you since the first moment we have met. And there is so little I can do it about it, that is why I am giving it to you to take care of it as I know that I can trust you with my life. I love you with all my heart, body and soul and I will spend the rest of my life by proving you that.”

There have been silent tears at Ziva's eyes at first, then sob escaped from her lips. She has never heard such a beautiful wedding vow. And being the bride, it had been twice emotional. Her soon-to-be husband slightly caressed her face, wiping away the tear in a way only Tony DiNozzo could.

(4)  Bug

“Bitten by a love bug, DiNozzo?” Gibbs looked at his agent inquiringly. He was unfocused, seemingly having his head in the clouds, daydreaming all the time instead of properly working. All proofed that he was head over heels in love. And judging by the ‘secret’ look between him and Ziva, he had no doubt who the lucky woman was.

(5) McGee

“Do you keep any record on how many nicknames you have already invented for McGee?” Ziva asked Tony out of sudden curiosity.

“I have no idea.” Was the answer as Tony tried to count on his fingers.

(6) Undercover

“Do you realize that we are undercover and also under the covers?” Tony said while throwing the sheets across his body and Ziva rolled her eyes. He would seriously never stop with assessing their situation of being on an undercover mission and sleeping in the same hotel room AND in the same bed as they had posed as a married couple.

“Shut up and watch the movie, DiNozzo.” She growled, trying to force the fantasy of them using this cover and these covers for entirely different kind of activity.

(7) Autopsy

“Stop laughing! I couldn't sleep because of this nightmare!” Tony exclaimed, regretting that he had ever decided to tell his co-worker about the dream he had had last night.

“Ok, so let me summarize it.” Ziva said between her occasional laughs as she tried to subdue her amusement. “Me and Jimmy had an affair and we decided to kill you by performing autopsy while you were still alive?”

“Yes, and whenever he cut me, you kissed him.” Tony flatly added while Ziva was overpowered by another wave of laughter.

(8) Gremlin

“It’s a 1984 comedy horror classic, Jimmy. I even found a plushie for you.” Tony waved the plush toy in front of the face of pale Jimmy Palmer, setting in it on the DVD cover of Gremlins movie.

“Thanks, Tony.” Jimmy said hesitantly, hoping that Tony would never come up with ‘personalized’ gifts as he called it. Ziva, who had gotten a box of paperclips, silently agreed with him.

(9) Dress

“Can I talk for a second with Ziva in private?” Tony asked Abby, the bridesmaid, anxiously. He needed to see Ziva before she would walk down the aisle and marry CIRay right in front of his eyes. She nodded in agreement and slipped out of the room, letting him to go inside.

The moment he saw the Israeli bride, all words left him. Her wedding dress was the definition of beauty. The rich fluffy skirt, the lacy bodice hugging her curves perfectly, the perfect cleavage showing just enough of her natural treasures, the sequins, pearls and other decent decorations, the long veil waiting for her to place it into her hair – she looked like a Disney princess.

And in that moment he forgot all of his prepared speech about his true feelings for her. He realized that all he wanted for her was to be happy. Even if he wasn’t the man with whom she would spend the rest of her life with.

(10) Smash

Sound of breaking glass as she smashed everything made out of transparent material against the wall. Hebrew curses. More sounds of things being thrown in many directions. Thuds. Anger of losing a loved one, the person she loved the most on this world, prevailing over any other rational thought. All that was left was remorse. Wrath. Sadness. The second stage of grief over the loss of her husband Tony has just begun.

(11) Abby

Abby persistently pushed the elevator button down in her floor, wondering why the hell the elevator just wouldn’t move. She had important results to show to Gibbs and considering his injuries from the previous case, she didn’t want him to trudge to her lab. When the elevator finally arrived to her floor and the door opened, she found herself face to face with Tony and Ziva whose reddened cheeks were telling enough. Abby slowly smiled, no longer annoyed. Her suspicions were confirmed. Those two were making out in the elevator!

(12) Language

“How many languages do you even speak?” Tony wiped his eyebrow that got wet under the drops of sweat on his forehead. He was getting too old for such quick running. He was no Usain Bolt. Yet, he was forced to start dashing when Ziva had uttered apparently pretty vulgar remark towards the man they had been speaking to. It was better to run than to involve in a fight with a bunch of the man’s friends who appeared out of nowhere.

“It doesn’t matter, as long as I speak with the language of love.” Ziva replied, pressing her lips on his, stealing his breath away.

(13) Boss

“Are you saying that I’m supposed to be boss now, boss?” Tony asked incredulously, watching the older man in front of him. Gibbs’ retirement was something he expected to happen one day, but still dreaded it in the same time.

“You’re competent enough for that job, DiNozzo.” Gibbs squeezed his shoulder, expressing confidence in his successor.

(14) Phone

“Tell me, what are you wearing?” Tony whispered sensually into the receiver, his legs propped up against his desk. He was alone in the darkened office, ruining his back over the pile of paperwork.

“I’m not having phone sex with you, Tony.” Ziva refused and ended the call, throwing her phone on the couch in her apartment. She stared at it for a moment, biting her thumb in contemplation.

Half a minute later, the phone in the NCIS bullpen on the desk of Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo rang.

(15) Investigation 

Tony stared at the file in front of him. He refused to believe that the investigation was over. Well, over... It was seized. Suspended. Listed as unsolved. When you have no witnesses, no cameras, no traces of tires, simply nothing to hold on to, you can hardly investigate a crime. And yet, Tony felt that he hadn’t done enough. His father was killed. Ran over by a car in the middle of an unlit street. Nobody head heard or seen anything. No clues. No hints. No traces. No suspects. Only a victim.

A warm hand squeezed his shoulder and he was immediately grateful to have her here with him. “How could you deal with it?” He asked her as she knew the feeling of losing a father like no one else.

“The official investigation might over, Tony. But the one in your heart and your mind will never stop until you know who did it and bring him to justice.” She said in a knowing tone. “And I promise you we will find the bastard who killed him. I will personally take care of it.”

(16) Magic

Her eyes lowered and her cheeks flushed with dark crimson. The magic of Anthony DiNozzo’s smile was sometimes embarrassingly efficient and she found herself in a state when she couldn’t deny him a single thing. Maybe it had also something to do with the face she was a little bit in love with him.

(17) Explosion

The steady beeping sound of the life monitor seemed like a music to her as opposed to the terrifying sounds of the explosion she’d heard and witnessed a couple of hours ago. Tony lay in the hospital bed in barbiturate-induced coma with scratches all over his body as the shrapnel had cut into his flesh while the building he had been in had blown into pieces. She’d never felt to scared in her life. And it had awakened something in her, as well. It was different than with the members of her family who had been taken away from her too soon. They were hers, they were part of her. Tony had never belonged to her as she had been to coward to tell him how she felt about him. But she vowed, at this very moment, that if he would pull through this, she would change it as soon as she had the chance. Tony DiNozzo was about to find out the extension of her love for him.

(18) Agent

“I’m Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, nice to meet you.” Tony introduced himself to a witness they were supposed to question in their latest case. “And this is my wife, Special Agent Ziva DiNozzo.”

(19) Paris

Ziva stood in front the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France and watched its glow as the darkness settled in. She was getting nervous, feverishly wondering whether Orli hadn’t been joking and Tony had really found her secret message in Israel where she’d informed him about couple of things that needed to be said, including where he might find her. She had suggested a place and time for their ‘date’. She couldn’t imagine any better location for their reunion. Paris was the symbol of their friendship, their love. She could never forget what had happened here a couple of years ago. Suddenly, she had a feeling that someone was watching her. When she turned around, her eyes welled up with tears as she saw her daughter she’d missed so much over the last few weeks in the arms of the man she loved more than herself.

(20) Wedding

She walked down the aisle on her wedding day and observed the faces of the people she loved dearly and who came here to celebrate her and Tony’s happiness with them. For a moment, she had doubts about being able to go through this but in the end, it seemed as a piece of cake. When you marry a man who had crossed the world twice for you to find you, defying all orders and rules, you just know that he is the right one. And there’s nothing easier than seal the mutual love in front of those who had witness their hardships and supported them in their hard times.

(21) Father

“There’s something I want to talk to you about, Gibbs.” Ziva started, feeling more nervous than ever in her life. “You are probably the closest thing I’ve had to a father. Especially after my coming to the United States. You somehow filled the void in my heart that was left there after my parents divorced. And considering my own father is now dead and the wedding is just around the corner, I wanted to ask you... Will you give me away?”

Gibbs approached her and kissed her on her cheek. “It’ll be my honour, Ziver.”

(22) Family

“With this ring I thee wed and I fully accept you as part of me. You once told me that family is more than blood. That it’s something I build around myself. My friends. People I trust. And people I unconditionally love. I couldn’t ever imagine how right you were. You are the one I unconditionally love. You are the one I trust with my life, my heart and my soul. You are my dearest friend. You are my family. And I will do everything to preserve it until the end of time and beyond that.”

Ziva’s quivering voice as she recited her vow had almost caused a heart attack to Tony. This was really a wedding of their dreams. And he was marrying the woman he loved the most. He was the luckiest guy on this planet.

(23) Friend

“Well, that’s the problem, Ziva.” Tony countered to her words, “I can’t be friends with you anymore. My heart just can’t accept it. Not when it knows it has a chance.”

Ziva stood in front of him, running out of words. That was not how she’d imagined their conversation, how she would tell him that he needed to be patient as she was in a hard place and she had to be careful while making her decisions. She couldn’t mindlessly enter a relationship with him, but he couldn’t and didn’t want to understand it.

He turned away from her and started to walk away. That was end of their friendship and practically everything between them. He couldn’t continue in being friendly to her when all he was thinking about constantly was to show her how much he loved her.

He was more than surprised, then, when her hand reached for his arm, turned him back to her and her lips crashed on his in a passionate way that made him lose his mind. That certainly wasn’t a kiss between friends.

(24) Daughter

“How are you going to name her?” Abby asked as she held the newborn daughter of her friends in her hands, while McGee stood behind her back, gushing over the baby’s cuteness just as her.

Tony looked at exhausted, yet smiling and incredibly happy Ziva. “Tali.” They both answered in unison.

(25) Gibbs

“Hell, it’s about time.” Gibbs uttered, seeing his two agents breaking the Rule 12 right in front of his eyes. (This is sort of a honour of a character named Tychus from Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty video game. I just can’t get the sentence out of my head, always imagining Gibbs saying it.)

I love their Lifeline kiss. It was such a good episode, with all the longing looks between Harm and Mac and all the little touches and how you just wanted them to admit they're in love with each other!! Didn't DJE direct the episode? I thought the story and the flashbacks were well done.

Yes to all you are saying, Lifeline was such a blessing for the shipper heart ^^

And yes, you are completely right. DJE directed this episode as well as 9x17 “Take it like a man” and 10x8 “There goes the neighbourhood” :)

1.) What’s your personal favourite thing you wrote this year?

Well, sinceI’ve been writing just one fic this year, I can only mention a thing from thatfic. And there are so many things I would like to pinpoint as my favouritething to write in year 2016, but I think I will go with the smut I wroterecently. That was the first time I actually DID a research for, lol. :D Justwait when I publish Chapter 13. ;)

3.) Which of your fics was most different from what you usually write?

Hazelnutmagic, because it’s one-shot. I usually develop all of my ideas into multi-chapfics. One-shots are really rare. And even though I have ideas for one-shots, Iusually develop them in my head into a multi-chap story.

6.) What’s your favourite piece of dialogue you wrote this year?

Nowthat was really question I thought about the most. Because I couldn’t decidewhich one to choose, since I’m not that good with some powerful dialogues. So Ichose this one.

She raised her hand and softly touched his face withthe tip of her fingers. He closed his eyes and purred as she gently stroked hischeek in a soothing gesture. “I love you, Tony.” She told him, watching as hiseyes filled with enamored adoration. She just felt it was the right place tosay it. And she wanted to prove it as much with her actions.

“And I’m sorry for e-” She started to apologize forbreaking his heart many times before and refusing to get involved with him inany closer way. She was cut off by his kiss, though, as he silenced hereffectively with it.

Pulling back, he removed the strands of her hair fromher face. “I know. I don’t need to hear it.” He anticipated her need toapologize. However, it wasn’t necessary. He loved her so much that he was ableto forgive her. Especially, when he now knew that she felt the same way abouthim.

“I just wish there were any words to describe what Ifeel.” He said regretfully, playing with her hair as he winded it around hisfingers. “Because I think that ‘I love you, too’ doesn’t cover it enough.”

She smiled at him understandingly, perfectly knowingwhat he meant. She fell in love with confessing her feelings for him but thewords seemed to be hollow. She’d love to use many other colorful words but noneof them seem to meet with her requirements. It was a strange feeling, knowingabout the great love deep inside her and not having any way to express itverbally.

She took his hand that played with her hair,intertwined their fingers as he breathlessly watched her doing so. Every touchseemed so electrifying at the moment, sending surges across their bodies. Theyheld their hands for a while, locking their eyes to savor the moment ofultimate intimacy. Then, she put their joined hands next to her head as a signof her surrender. She wanted him to have this kind of control over her and makelove to her until their sweaty bodies dropped from exhaustion.

“Then show me.” She demanded, cupping his face withher free hand, touching with the tips of her fingers his soft shaven cheek.“Love me. Love me like never before.”

7.) What’s your favourite piece of description or narration?

I don’teven know, honestly, lol. :D But I guess this part? That moment of firstmeeting and the reaction were just so important to write the right way.

The hug was tentative at first, as they were bothstill trying to absorb the fact that they had met here in Prague. Soon,however, Tony pressed her desperately to his body, not caring about the factshe might feel how erratic his heartbeat was. She was alive, she was here. Hehad her in his arms. It was like the best Christmas present he could everreceive. Because she felt like Christmas, with all the cinnamon and vanillascent in her hair where his nose was buried.

Ziva snuggled up into his body, pressing her head intohis chest and breathing in his smell. The smell she had missed so much, thesmell that reminded her of home. Despite the fact she could also smell the pastryhe’d eaten few minutes ago–thus the walnut and sugar flavor. But he was herhome, his embrace was her home. The funny thing was that she hadn’t known thatjust a few minutes ago. All she needed to realize that was to meet him.

“Ziva.” He whispered with quivering voice, feeling agreat relief after he’d finally managed to say her name aloud.

Holding her in his arms made him realize one thing. Hestill loved her. He had never stopped loving her. He’d just pushed the feelingsto the back of his mind. He knew it now, because the feelings were back withgreater intensity than ever before. He was an open book now. And his love forher was the strongest emotion he was feeling at the moment.

She gasped upon hearing the way he’d uttered her name,sensing the huge amount of emotions behind it. She couldn’t stop the tear thatfound its way out of the corner of her eye. She wasn’t only moved by the factthat there apparently weren’t any hard feelings between them, but also nohatred, either. She also realized that, no matter how hard she tried, he wasstill deeply embedded in her heart.

Unbeknownst to him, she felt the same as he did. Thelove she felt for him came back to life. It streamed through her veins. It sentbutterflies flying around her stomach. Her knees weakened. And if hadn’t knownthat she was in the middle of Christmas craziness, she would have sworn thatthe ‘hallelujah’ she was hearing was just resonating inside her head. All thosefeelings that she thought she had buried a long time ago had just returned witha crushing force.

10.) What, if anything, are you going to try to do differently in your writing inthe new year?

Basically,I want to more focus on my personal life, so writing will stop being the firstthing I do when I have a free time. So if something is going to change, then myeffort to write as much as I can because I will write occasionally and notevery day. I guess that this kind of pressure can actually make me stop beinglazy during writing, cherish the time I do it and thus be more effecient.

2. Work you are most proud of (and why):

I guess Christmas Meeting mentioned above. When you finishing writing something you have been working on for five damn years, you feel proud.

3. Work you are least proud of (and why):

Since my work this year was solely focused on finishing one story and starting a new one, I haven’t really written much in the amount of stories so I can just list a chapter I’m not proud of and that is... Chapter 43 of Christmas Meeting, the TIVA wedding. Even writing them after so many years, I didn’t write a wedding before (for them) so it was a challenge I think I did right only from half. Half of the chapter is fine, half of the chapter isn’t that good as I pictured it to be.

4. A favourite excerpt of your writing:

Oh jeez... I don’t know? A whole excerpt would probably involve Chapter 42 of Christmas Meeting where I made Tony and Ziva rethink a real event in their life and transform it into a sexual fantasy. That was such a fun to write, honestly and it’s one of my favourite things I have ever written this year. It wasn’t much popular among the readers (not sure why but honestly, Fanfiction.net as a site is dying slowly and painfully) but that finally felt as something I wrote for fun and myself than for someone else and out of duty.

5. Share or describe a favourite review you received:

Can’t really choose one, that’s impossible and disrespectful to everyone. I appreciate and cherish every single one I get and that’s that.

6. A time when writing was really, really hard:

March/April? The whole ‘let’s rotate in the office after 2 weeks’ and be constantly locked at home didn’t really do anything good for my writing. I was less inspired and just not myself the whole time. And even when I went out for the walk, it didn’t get better. I guess more factors where at play because nearing the end of a story you work on for so long is both exciting and terrifying and the whole fandom has changed so many times during it and I just didn’t feel as excited as I was supposed to be, I guess, because the whole mood in the fandom was just... zero. Many people left and I don’t blame them. But it felt disheartening as if the people that used to wait enthusiastically for my updates were gone without a word, focusing on other things and I just couldn’t move on because I always finish what I start. And I really wanted to move on as they did. Not their fault but mine.

7. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you:

Hm... Writing Anakin Skywalker? It was something I planned to do and feared it because my relationship with Star Wars prequels is complicated (I like them and it’s not Hayden’s fault, I just struggle with some of the weird dialogue in the movies) and I think the result is actually pretty good. People still need to wait to see it but it’s written and I love it.

8. How did you grow as a writer this year:

I found my passion again and I resolved NOT to write another long-ass story for five damn years. I admire if someone can do that without getting affected but I just... I love the story, I really do but a lot of chapters just felt like a chore to me, and not fun. I wanted it to end but I also wanted to communicate the rest of my ideas to bring it to the ful circle. Maybe it was a mistake, I don’t know. I just don’t wish to feel like that ever again.

9. How do you hope to grow next year:

To learn – and I repeat that every year – that not writing that day I imagined I would write is not something I should reproach myself for. Stuff just happens. If I choose to play a game instead? So what... If I have a migraine that I can’t even keep my eyes open? So what? The result would suck and I would spend yet another day by rewriting it. It’s not a sin. 

10. Who was the greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc):

Well, aside the stable people in my life I know I can turn to whenever I have some writing problem and need another point of view – and they know who they are – probably @lexinoctura​ ? Just the sheer thought I can come in with some question for an opinion or just general talk about the topic is amazing. I don’t have many Star Wars writer friends and the ones I know have zero idea about the universe so I really appreciate it.

11. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year:

Believe it or not, there is always something from my real life that shows up in my writing. The greatest one for this year is – Christmas Meeting Chapter 43 and the wedding in Prague. I have included my home and birth city so that’s me.

12. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers:

Just because you decide to write something else after devoting most of your writing skills to one fandom, doesn’t mean you hate it, forgot it or erased it from your life. It’s still part of you and it will always be part of you but life is life and if you feel inspired by something else, it’s not bad to turn away but actually, it would be a shame not to do it. So do it, spread your interests and even if you are ‘famous’ or something in that one fandom while ‘unknown and newbie’ in the other one, don’t let it discourage you. Remember, it’s a start and beginnings are always the hardest. It’ll be fine.

13. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year:

Surely! I’m looking forward to finishing the story I am currently writing while starting a whole new idea that developed in my head over Christmas, just as I intend to return to my original fantasy story and approach it from a different perspective. It needs to be redone.

14. If you could recommend only one work from yourself published this year:

Well, of course I am going to promote a story I have recently published!

15. Year word count:

144,692 words – not my strongest year but I have struggled a lot in certain point, plus the whole year situation wasn’t that ideal for writing but I still think it’s pretty decent.
